The Loud House: Memory of A Promise

Part 1: Recorded Memory Chapter: 5 Night of Reflection Part Two

Disclaimer: I do not own "The Loud House"

August 7, 2017 Loud House, Second Floor Hallway Monday Morning

Lincoln plopped himself next to Leni trying to keep a cool face, failing slightly as his cheeks were painted a tinge of red.

"Did you sleep well Lincoln?", Leni asked in a chipper tone.

"Uh, not really. Had some things to think about and it kind of dragged on longer than I thought.", Linc replied.

"Aw, well if you want you can sleep with me tonight."

"Uh t-that's ok Leni." Lincoln mumbled nervously as he twitched on the spot from her offer. "I um, resolved everything already."

"Oh, ok. You sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure.", He responded, knowing full well it was a damn lie as his heart kept palpitating like crazy just being next to his sister.

In an attempt to not focus on his body's nervous breakdown he chose to continue their conversation in hopes of a topic change. "So, how did you sleep Leni?"

Upon recollection of the events of her dream last night Leni became giddy. "I slept wonderfully."

"That's good, least one of us got some decent rest."

She gently stroked his cheek. "Mhm and its all thanks to my Lincy~."

"W-what do you mean by that?", Linc said, loving and hating the fact that he was enjoying her touch.

"I had a wonderful dream about my future husband." She gently pinched Lincoln's cheek and then faced forward humming a happy tune. "And he was as kind as he was to me yesterday."

Linc was slightly afraid to ask, knowing full well she obviously meant him but before he realized it the questions had already slipped out. "Who was it? And what happened in the dream?"

Leni just looked at him and smiled as she blushed. "Heh, it's too embarrassing Lincy~!"

His mind began to race, wondering what kind of dream his sister had to make her so elated. He didn't have a chance to ponder long though, as both Lana and Lola had then come out of the bathroom.

"Mornin Leni, Mornin Lincoln." Said Lana, passing by as she picked her nose.

Lola followed right after. "Good morning Leni, Linc."

The small spitfire then stopped in front of Lincoln and glared at him. "You haven't forgotten, right?"

He simply raised an eyebrow of confusion, peeving off Lola a bit.

With a scowl and sigh she reluctantly explained her expectations she set yesterday again, "Six days left Lincoln and still no proposal? Tsk tsk, it's like you want to be punished."

Linc merely gulped, unsure if he was nervous because of the reminder of his predicament with his sisters or because of Lola's threat.

"Aw, you want to marry Lincy too?", Leni inquired.

"It's his fault!" Lola roared. "He proposes to all of you and has the nerve to leave me out of it!?"

"Heh well it's ok, one more girl couldn't hurt.", The calmer blonde innocently said as she stroked Lincoln's hair before heading into the bathroom.

Lola held up six of her fingers and glared once again towards her brother as she headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Geez" Linc muttered to himself as he rested his head against the wall. "Can't a guy get a break?"

After Leni had finished her turn and gave Lincoln another passing cheek stroke, making him blush yet again, he went into the bathroom to get ready for the day himself. The hallway remained quiet as the young man finished his daily groom and proceeded downstairs to enjoy his awaiting morning meal. Unknowingly to him he had been watched attentively the entire time since he popped out from his room by his absentee sisters.

As Linc went out of view in the hallway Lori slowly pried open her door and peeked to see if he was really gone before stepping out. She had played his and Leni's conversation as innocent with not knowing the deeper meaning behind it, yet all the same it flustered her so for her realization. Soon the other doors of the Loud sisters opened as they each checked to make sure the coast was clear like their elder sibling while slowly coming out.

They gave each other a glance and merely chuckled, hoping neither knew how weird they were acting as the line for the bathroom awkwardly took place. Afterwards upon entering the dining room the sisters let out a mental sigh of relief for seeing that Lincoln had already finished breakfast and was sat at the couch with Lily and the twins. While they ate Lynn Sr. came and passed by, giving a faint morning greeting as he headed out with Rita close behind.

"Lori hun." Rita called out as she checked her purse. "You remember what you're doing today right?"

"Huh?", Lori lazily replied, distracted by fatigue and Linc's turkey tail popping up from the top of the couch.

"Remember? Me and your father are carpooling with our friends to work today so you can take your sisters and your brother for their school supplies. Vanzilla is all yours, but just to the mall and back."

The vague memory of the mentioned conversation returned to her. "Oh right, that."

"Ok then, drive safe and have a good day everyone, I love you."

"Love you mom.", Her children said in unison.

After a single car honk Rita made her way out while blowing loving kisses at her children, not knowing the majorities current internal struggles. Finishing her meal first, Lori got up and did her best to calmly take Lily from Lincoln. With the close proximity struggle done with she then headed outside towards vanzilla carrying the infant Loud.

"Lincoln.", Lily said with a happy grin.

Lori smiled a bit at how much Lily loved her big brother already.

"He does look charming with a baby in his arms.", She thought, sighing after as her mind wandered then on Bobby, knowing she and him would have to have a talk eventually to get a better grasp on her tumultuous feelings.

"Lincoln.", Lily said once again, giggling while Lori poked her cheek as she placed her in her car seat in the third row and secured her.

Upon turning around to call the others for departure the sight of Lisa suddenly being next to her startled her slightly. "Gah! Lisa!?"

"Hello Lori.", The young genius monotonously replied.

"It's usually Lucy's job to scare us half to death with her random appearances. What are you doing?"

"I'm merely taking this opportunity to reserve my seat next to Lily right now as I feel competition for certain seats away from an individual, who shall not be named for your sake, will be savage."

"Uh, what?"

"Don't worry about it.", Lisa said as she took her seat next to Lily and fastened her seatbelt.

"Alright everybody we're heading out! Hop to it!", Lori shouted as she shrugged off Lisa's mumbles and got in the driver's seat before starting the van.

Inside upon their sister's call the Loud girls calmly walked towards the front when some of them paused at noticing Linc getting up from the couch. The thought was instant and nerve wrecking, one or two of them would have to sit next to him. Realizing this, they all bolted outside to take the best seat away from him.

Lana and Lola had a head start, not pausing because of Lincoln, and had already taken the back row. Meanwhile Luna headed for the third row but skidded to a stop on seeing that Lucy had already taken it.

"What the!?", Luna cried out, shocked that the young goth had already secured her place.

"I have my ways.", Lucy boasted with a smirk.

Desperate with the others rushing in behind her the anxious rocker decided to just hang with the twins despite the annoyances it would bring.

"Oh no you don't!" Lola barked as she shot daggers from her eyes. "I need some fashion advice from Leni for my next pageant so this seat is hers!"

Sweating bullets now Luna took the second row hoping any of her sisters would sit next to her. Then like an angel sent from heaven above she saw Luan heading towards her with great speed. She let out a sigh of relief but shortly resumed her panicked state as her comedic sister took a sharp turn around the van for the passenger seat next to Lori.

Luan barely grazed the door handle as Lynn tackled her out of the way crying out survival of the fittest before taking the prized forward spot and locking the door. Slightly dazed the jokester slowly stood up and pressed her face against the window, giving her brutish jock of a sister a bloody murderous look. Her killer gaze broke off when she saw Luna's panicked face from her peripheral, the fright in her sister's eyes and beet red face sending a chill of worry across her skin.

Slowly Luan went around the back of vanzilla and looked at the last row, occupied by the twins and Leni. As she continued moving forward she saw the third row had been taken by Lily, Lisa, and Lucy. Then she stopped at the second row, her face matching Luna's as she saw who it was, Lincoln, sitting in the middle as he himself blushed while stealing glances at her.

"Hurry up Luan, we don't have all day!", Lori called out rearing to go.

With no other choice Luan gulped and nervously sat next to Linc, trying not to fidget from her arm rubbing against his as she buckled up. Since they had all grown slightly bigger over the summer she found herself pressed up up against him, squishing him slightly between Luna and herself much to both the girls already tense nerves. When everyone was affirmed to be strapped in Lori backed out the driveway and began the drive towards the mall.

It was only a ten-minute drive, though to both sisters beside Lincoln it seemed like an eternity. Luna looked out the van window, hoping that just admiring the town would ease her beating heart. It didn't work though as she saw the faint reflection of her shy brother upon the car window, his cute bashfulness making her ponder over her thoughts from last night.

"Here we go again.", She wearily thought.

August 6, 2017 Luna and Luan's Room Sunday Night: Luna

Stripping down to just her bra and panties, Luna slipped on one of her old softer shirts after which she used as sleepwear. With a quick stretch she climbed up to her part of the bunk bed and laid back, placing her hands on her cheeks and finding they were still warm from blushing so intensely earlier. The lights in the room went off and she could hear Luan moving into her bed under her.

"Goodnight Luna."

"Goodnight Luan."

After a few minutes of just enjoying the quiet ambience of the dark Luna sighed to herself and mused on how she acted like a fool around Linc half the day.

"Let's watch the videos." She thought. "Best genius idea I've ever had. Should of just went with Lincoln to go jam in my room like we planned."

She interlaced her fingers and twiddled her thumbs. "Why was I wigging out like that? That was even worse on how skittish I was around …"

A faint sigh escaped her as she shifted on her side to face the wall. "Sam."

At the time Luna didn't realize Sam had thought the note she shoved in her locker was from her own crush, Sully, the boy she always hung out with. When she finally worked up the courage to speak to her she was let down gently as Sam didn't feel that way towards women. She was still affable towards her though and wanted to remain friends which Luna accepted, bearing the subtle pain of rejection for awhile until their deepened friendship washed away the undesirable feeling.

As Luna came back from her little flashback she noticed something in her thought process. "Wait, if I'm acting even worse than I did with Sam. What does that mean between me and Lincoln?"

She brought forth an image of her younger sibling to memory and took note of her heart beating faster, placing her right hand over her chest before continuing. Her mind examined his face, Linc's adorable face, the desire to cusp his cheeks in her hands almost unbearable. Luna was sure that was normal though, to simply show small affections towards your little brother.

The urge to say his name swelled within her and the utterance of it soon passed her lips. "Lincoln"

Luan then giggled making Luna tense up in fear that her younger sister had heard her say his name. She waited a few seconds but heard nothing else from her roommate, playing off her laughter as a mere dream of a funny joke. She closed her eyes and went back to her thoughts of Lincoln, thinking over their entire relationship as far as she could remember.

Out of all of his sisters she was the one who spent the most time with him, mostly because he went to see her. Every time he did she was more than happy to oblige in listening or letting him chill nearby. There was just something about him just being there sitting that helped ease her mind as well, finding confidence and inspiration so easily with the way he looked admiringly at her.

Luna's eyes shot open from feeling her body heat up, the realization of her subconscious actions dawning on her. Her thighs were squeezed together and the faint sensation of pleasure could be felt from a heightened sense of arousal. She quickly corrected herself and panicked slightly, corelating her reaction to the thought of Linc looking at her.

"He's your brother!" She screamed internally. "You've watched over him all his life! You can't just think of him like that, it would be a betrayal of his trust in you!"

Cupping the side of her head, Luna squeezed as hard as she could, trying to punish herself for thinking of her sibling in such a manner.

"What would he even think of me right now?" She contemplated as the words of the younger Lincoln loud then ran across her mind. "No, that was a long time ago, plus he was four."

Luna let out a sigh and pictured Linc again. "Dude, you've always been my rock, I can't even recall a time when that wasn't the case."

She reached out her hand towards Lincoln only to have his image disappear as she touched the cold wall. As she replaced her hand over her still beating heart, Luna knew she couldn't deny it now, the tape being at fault for her to come to this realization. Turning onto her back she graced the void with a bittersweet smile as the final truth rung through her thoughts.

"I-It's wrong, I know that, but I'm in …"

August 7, 2017 Vanzilla Monday Morning: Luan

Luan tried her best to keep calm despite the inability to resist the urge of stealing a glance at Lincoln every now and then. She shuddered with slight delight every time her body rubbed against him whenever the road got a bit bumpy. His scent was all too noticeable to her, not knowing what name to place upon it though it smelled clean, gentle, and comforting all the same.

She felt guilty for acting in such deviant way but couldn't help it though, not with the conclusion she came to last night.

August 6, 2017 Luna and Luan's Room Sunday Night: Luan

As Luna climbed up to her bed, Luan slipped into her polka-dot nightgown catching a glimpse of her own face in the mirror atop the dresser before turning off the lights. She moved towards her own bed and climbed on, feeling great to be in it after the day she had.

"Goodnight Luna."

"Goodnight Luan."

While waiting in silence a bit to make sure her older sister was sound asleep Luan let out a low sigh. The warmth of her heated face from today's shenanigans were all too easily still felt. She then recalled how her face looked flushed with a hint of longing in the mirror earlier.

She was a comedian, and as such one of the tricks of the trade she learned first was being able to read the crowd. She remembered looking up on the internet how to notice key facial movements to gauge people's reactions and how they felt at the moment, practicing on herself daily at the time to become a natural. Too good of one she thought, as her face had revealed a thousand words.

"How could I feel that way about him?" Luan thought. "It's Linc, he trusts you so much."

She thought back to how he turned red as well during the video debacle. Since he nor she could look at each other directly afterwards Luan was unable to get a read about him if he hopefully felt the same about her too.

Hopefully

The word stuck out painfully so. "I really want you, huh Lincoln."

How could she not she thought, after all he was always there, taking in all of of her jokes. While everyone else either groaned or simply rolled their eyes at her puns he would always laugh. The thought of his innocent and sincere chuckle made her want to plant his adorable mug with kisses.

Luan giggled with delight from imagining herself doing just so and guessing at Linc's possible bashful cute reactions. Fortunately for her luck covered for her slip up in silence as Luna simply thought she came up with a joke to herself in her sleep.

"Oh Lincoln, look what you're doing to me."

She closed her eyes and listened to her beating heart while coming up with a joke.

"Hey Linc." She thought, imagining he was before her. "What did one heart say to the other?"

"I don't know Luan. What?", Lincoln's voice said.

"I think I skipped a beat for you.", She hummed with a smile, thinking of his laughter and wishing she could hear it in person.

That tape, she didn't know whether to burn it out of anger or to preserve it out of gratefulness for her feelings right now.

She opened her eyes and sighed. "Life always has the cruelest jokes huh? Punchline for me being the fact that I'm in love …"

August 7, 2017 Vanzilla Monday Morning: Lincoln

Luna and Luan both snapped out of their flashbacks accordingly as the van parked near the malls entrance.

"Alright guys once were inside we'll split up into groups. No side stops until after we gather everything we need first. Let's go.", Lori announced.

As everyone got off Linc remained in his seat unable to move for fear of his raging erection being exposed to any of his sisters. During the ride Luna's smooth lavender smell and Luan's alluring sweet pea scents overloaded his budding hormonal systems. The fact that he was squished between them didn't help much either with him taking small glances at both, noticing their own bodily developments over the summer.

"Easy Lincoln, easy.", He mumbled to himself as he tried to settle down.

After a few more seconds of feeling his blood flow return to normal he got off and quickly joined his sisters as they entered the mall.
