Jade, Klaus's minion, walked into the room and placed the plate of food next to Elena, who was on the floor rocking back and forth with her hands on her head. When Elena made no move to eat the food Jade frowned.
"Ms.Gilbert, you have to eat." Jade stated.
Elena did not respond.
She was still at war with the blood bond, trying the best she could to fight it.
"Ms.Gilbert if you do not eat, I will have to get Klaus." Jade warned.
After a few minutes passed Jade huffed and left the room.
When Klaus entered the room he paused and observed her for a moment.
"Elena, stop fighting it," Klaus demanded.
"Shut up!" Elena yelled bitterly.
"I didn't want to do this, but you're forcing my hand." Klaus stated before he slammed Elena against the wall.
Elena's eyes went wide as blood flew out her mouth.
Klaus bit down on his arm and forced it into Elena's mouth.
Elena thrashed around, releasing a muffled scream. She tried her hardest to keep the blood from going down her throat, but once the coppery red substance hit her tongue her body couldn't resist. Elena's attempts to get away slowly diminished, as she began to take long deep gulps of Klaus's blood. His blood was like a drug to her.
She hated every part of it, but she couldn't stop herself.
Once Klaus thought she had gotten enough he pulled his arm away. He finally got a good look at Elena. Her pupils were dilated, she had bags under her eyes, and there were bruises on her arms that had not been caused by him.
Klaus grabbed Elena's bruised arm and lifted it.
"What's this, love?"
"The only thing left that I have control over."
Elena tried to snatch her arm away from Klaus, but Klaus had no intention of letting her go.
"Elena, your top priority is to stay alive until the sacrifice. Under no circumstances will you ever put yourself in danger or harm yourself in any way. Do you understand?"
Klaus's words invaded her mind, repeatedly reciting themselves over and over as a way to convince her. When Elena attempted to resist the blood bond, the words attacked her mind, stronger than they have ever been before.
Elena dropped to the ground in complete agony, her head felt like it was about to explode. Tears stained her face as she cried out in anguish.
Klaus bent down to Elena's level.
"If you just give in all that pain will go away." Klaus announced with false sympathy.
Elena looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"I will never give in." Elena said determinedly, immediately getting hit by another wave of pain.
"You will... eventually." Klaus assured her, walking out of the room.
The blood Elena had consumed made her sick to her stomach, she did everything she could to get the blood out of her system, but the blood bond stopped her from succeeding every time. She ended up passed out on the floor due to immense pain, nausea, and exhaustion.
(Present time)
"There's something wrong with her." Bonnie concluded, after telling the brothers what happened.
"I agree with witchy, something's wrong." Damon stated.
"Are we sure that she's actually Elena?" Caroline asked, looking at all of them.
"Of course it's Elena, who else could it be." Stefan stated.
"Umm, I don't know... Katherine." Caroline said sarcastically.
"Point for Caroline." Katherine commented.
They all froze and looked at her shocked.
"How are you-" Bonnie started before she was cut off.
"Awake? What kind of idiot do you take me for?" Katherine asked, giving her signature smirk.
"Katherine." Damon growled, pinning her to the wall.
"How cute." Katherine teased before twisting his arm.
"Where is Elena?" Stefan growled.
"Are you sure you care? After all, you never noticed that I wasn't her… even Damon knew." Katherine stated, looking at her nails.
"Where is she?" Damon asked, holding his injured arm.
"Since I'm feeling generous I'll tell you." Katherine announced, wondering if this was a good idea.
Katherine ran her hand through her hair and sighed.
"Elena is with Klaus." Katherine stated.
"What do you mean she's with Klaus?" Caroline asked outraged.
"He kidnapped her." Katherine said apathetically.
"When the hell did that happen?" Damon asked, frustrated with himself.
"3 months ago." Katherine answered.
"So he just showed up here and kidnapped her without us noticing… and how did you-" Caroline stated before coming to a realization.
"What's wrong?" Bonnie asked.
"If Katherine got inside the house then Elena is… Elena's dead." Caroline said with tears in her eyes.
Katherine couldn't contain the laugh that came out of her mouth.
"She's not dead, she invited me and Klaus in." Katherine stated.
"Why would she do that?" Bonnie asked, not believing Katherine.
"Klaus threatened to kill her brother." Katherine said, shrugging.
"How did Marcus get inside?" Damon asked.
"You haven't realized it yet?" Katherine asked.
"Marcus is Klaus." Stefan said with terror in his eyes.
"Why are you telling us this?" Bonnie asked.
"I want to help you." Katherine deadpanned.
"Why?" Damon asked, disgusted at the idea.
"Two reasons, one of them being that I want to stop Klaus from becoming an all-powerful being." Katherine said, avoiding the second reason.
"And the second?" Caroline asked.
"Do you want to hear my plan or not?" Katherine responded.
Caroline scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"We need to wake Elijah up." Katherine stated.
"He won't help us, we daggered him." Damon reminded.
"He will get over it, trust me." Katherine assured.
"I'm assuming you know where he is." Damon accused.
"Obviously." Katherine said with a smirk on her face.
After Katherine revealed the location of where Klaus was keeping Elijah she sent Damon and Stefan to retrieve him, while Bonnie and Caroline stayed with her.
"What now?" Caroline asked after Stefan and Damon left.
"We go to school and pretend everything is normal." Kathrine stated.
"What if Klaus is there?" Bonnie asked.
"Act normal. You're not supposed to know anything, and do not call him Klaus." Katherine advised.
The school day was going perfectly normal, they had not seen Klaus at all. Bonnie, Caroline, and Katherine were at the lockers talking when Bonnie spotted Klaus making his way towards them with an arm over a brunette's shoulder. The brunette was wearing sunglasses, a leather jacket, a black shirt, black ripped jeans, and black heels.
"Act normal." Katherine mouthed.
It didn't help that Katherine looked terrified.
Klaus and the brunette stopped right in front of them.
"Hello, Katherina." Klaus said casually.
Katherine froze, unsure of what to do.
"Ka-Katherine? Where?" Katherine asked looking around.
"I am in no mood for jokes Katherina, I already know that you have broken our deal." Klaus stated.
"Klaus… I can explain." Katherine said cautiously.
The brunette girl let out a small chuckle.
Bonnie and Caroline instantly knew who that laugh belonged to.
"Elena?" Caroline and Bonnie asked simultaneously.
Elena didn't respond, she only looked at Klaus before leaning her head back onto his shoulder affectionately.
"Katherina I want you to bring Stefan, Damon, Bonnie, and Caroline to my mansion tomorrow." Klaus demanded.
"Why should I?" Katherine asked, trying to hold her ground.
"Are you questioning me?" Klaus questioned.
Katherine's eyes widened in fear and she shook her head.
'If only you had been that simple.' Klaus's voice echoed in Elena's head causing her to frown slightly.
Elena recalled the days she used to try to resist the blood bond, what a foolish decision she had made.
"Good." Klaus said, turning around.
He was walking away when Caroline grabbed Elena's arm.
"Elena? Is that you?" Caroline asked concerned for her friend.
Elena yanked her arm away from Caroline's grasp and walked back to Klaus's side as if nothing happened.
Klaus possessively put his arm around Elena's shoulder.
"Caroline, keep your hands off of my belongings." Klaus growled before walking out of the school with Elena.
Caroline, Bonnie, and Katherine stood there for a moment flabbergasted.
"That was Elena… wasn't it?" Caroline asked.
"Yes." Katherine confirmed, pulling out her phone.
"What are you doing?" Bonnie asked.
"Calling Damon and Stefan…" Katherine said quickly.
They answered on the third ring.
"Well if it isn't the psychotic doppelganger." Damon quipped.
"We have a problem." Katherine stated.
After she explained everything that happened the call went silent.
"You're sure that was Elena?" Damon asked again.
"Yes, but I will explain that later. Have you found Elijah yet?" Katherine questioned.
"We found him an hour ago." Damon said nonchalantly.
Before Katherine could get a word out Damon interrupted.
"Meet us at the boarding house." Damon stated, hanging up the phone.
When school ended the girls made their way to the Boarding house where Damon and Stefan were waiting for them.
"Took you long enough." Damon stated, opening the door for them.
"Where's Elijah?" Katherine questioned, looking around the room.
"In the coffin." Damon said, opening up the coffin.
"We should get Jeremy over here." Bonnie stated.
"Why would we do that?" Caroline asked.
"Someone needs to invite Elijah in." Bonnie answered.
"I'll go get him." Stefan sighed.
Stefan quickly returned with a very confused Jeremy.
Katherine looked at them before pulling the dagger out.
They decided to tell Jeremy about everything while they waited for Elijah to wake up.
Elijah's eyes popped open, before he tried to get out Jeremy invited him in.
"Elijah, we need your help. Klaus has Elena." Stefan pleaded.
"I figured as much." Elijah sighed.
"Has he sacrificed her yet?" Elijah asked, afraid of the answer.
"I don't think he plans to." Katherine answered vaguely.
Elijah looked at her, waiting for a further explanation.
"He formed a blood bond with her." Katherine said stubbornly.
Elijah did not seem surprised.
"Blood bond?" Stefan questioned.
"It's similar to a sire bond, but it's between a human and a vampire. The blood bond has different effects depending on the person, so I do not know what control Klaus has over Elena." Elijah explained.
"Can it be broken?" Stefan asked.
"Yes, but it takes time." Elijah answered.
"How much time?" Damon questioned.
"Months, maybe years depending on how deep the bond is." Elijah stated.
"Which is why we should get her away from his as soon as possible." Katherine added.
"I didn't realize you cared about her." Caroline stated.
"Did you want my help or not?" Katherine asked, avoiding his statement.
"So what's the plan?" Damon asked.

Hey everyone, I hope you liked this chapter. In case you were confused, the bond gets stronger every time Elena drinks Klaus's blood, which is why Klaus forced blood into Elena's mouth. Katherine and Klaus did make a deal, however, Katherine knew that Klaus would never keep his end of the deal. This is why Katherine revealed herself to Damon, Stefan, Caroline, and Bonnie.
