The Angel Grove castle stood in its place as if it magically appeared from child's storybook. Tommy always thought it was prefect. He could remember when he was little, he'd imagine unicorns were living in the courtyard who would transport everyone to different locations outside the castle. Each stone was shaped like a square and laid down evenly. If he didn't know better he'd say the people who build the castle were perfectionists and loved what they were building. They were stone walls which protected the community. Once the gate like draw bridge was lifted horses started to walk into the castle grounds. As Tommy's horse took its first few steps, he couldn't stop from thinking about the girl he met earlier. He couldn't wait to tell his parents about her. Maybe when he got inside he'd get some good news regarding his mother's sickness. If that was the case, he could tell them that he met a girl who could possibly be his future queen.

During her life, Queen Jan Oliver loved people without any boundaries and she donated money even though there were times that she should have kept the money herself. Anytime she had banquet everyone who was invited brought something that was homecooked. But, those time were over. The queen had come down with an illness which took a toll on her.

Dr. Dana Grayson entered the room in pink three quarter button shirt, a grey knee length skirt, black boats, and a stethoscope around her neck. Her blonde arm pit length hair was pulled back into a ponytail. Dana was from Marnier Bay and once worked in the lightspeed rescue aqua base.

"Hello, Queen Jan," Dana greeted with a smile.

Meanwhile, Tommy was rushing down the long hall to find his parents. Even though his mother had come down with an illness, she was hoping that she'd be able to see him fall in love with a girl who would become his future queen. And she was also hopping that she could watch her son get married. He couldn't wait to tell his parents about the girl that he just met in the forest. He sensed there was something special about this girl. Tommy turned the corner and walked into his parents' bedroom. Dr. Dana was there and was giving Jan her daily checkup.

"Tommy, you are back so soon," James said when Tommy took a seat next to his mother. "Did you have a good time riding your horse."

"It was wonderful," Tommy beamed with a smile. "I met a beautiful girl while I was riding my horse. I wish you could have met her. She had Carmel hair, was dressed in pink and had a beautiful smile. I wish you could have met her. Oh, I want to see this girl again-"

"-Tommy, you've never acted this way before," James interrupted. "You were never interested in any of the princesses who have visited this castle."

"Dad, there was something more about her than just being beautiful," Tommy argued.

"You've only met this girl one time," James stated when Dr. Dana started to take Jan's blood pressure. "There is no way you could have learned a lot about her in just one time of talking with her."

"James, don't be too quick to judge," Jan coughed when Dr. Dana finished taking her blood pressure. The royal cook enters the room and placed a tray of chicken noodle soup in Jan's lap. "You always said I was the prefect girl for you."

"That is different," James argued raising an eye brow. "You were a princess and that was a totally different story."

"Dad, even if mom wasn't a princess, you still would have loved her anyway," Tommy smiled as he watched his father blush. "And I know that you would have chosen her over a princess."

"Tommy, if that was the case, I would have had to let Jan go," James argued raising his voice. "For years, former princes and princesses can't marry a common person. They are expected to marry someone with a royal background."

"James, we are the current king and queen," Jan reminded him as she winked at Tommy. "We can change the rules. This would allow Tommy and future heirs to marry someone they truly love. People should marry for love, not just for royalty."

"King James, I hate to interrupt your family discussion," Dr. Dana apologized. "I need to talk to Jan alone. Would you and your son step outside the room for a little while."

Tommy and James stepped out into the hall and closed the door behind them. They took a seat on bench hoping that they'd hear good news from Dr. Dana.

"Tommy, my father would be telling me the same thing that I am tell you," James continued. "And I would have listened to him."

"Dad, you love mom so much," Tommy reminded him. "I doubt that you would have went along with your father."

"Tommy, yes I would have gone along with him," James remarked when Dr. Dana stepped out of the room. "I've been taught-"

"-excuse me," Dr. Dana apologized again. "I am sorry to interrupt again. James can I have a word with you?"

"Sure," James answered as he followed Dr. Dana back into the room.

"How is mom doing?" Tommy answered when he saw his father cover his face with hands. He walked into the room and saw his mother was still in bed. "Is she going to be okay?"

"Tommy, we'll talk later," Jan assured him as she started to cough again. "I promise."

Just as Tommy walked out of the room a tear ran down his face. He immediately knew that the news that his parents were getting probably wasn't the news that they wanted to hear. Why else would they send him out of the room?

"Tommy!" called out a familiar voice.

Tommy quickly turned around and saw his least favorite person heading towards. Ivan Ooze, the grand duke. Tommy always thought that Ivan should never have been made grand duke. And not to mention that Ivan looked strange. He had violet skin with two horns that were twisted together to form goatee, purple hair that was always combed back which looked like snakes, and long disgusting finger nails that needed to be trimmed. Ivan even dressed odd. He normally wore a purple pants and a purple tunic was generally covered up by a purple robe with a large collar, and his robe was floor length and you could never see his shoes. Oh, we can't forget the odd-looking purple bracelets with green and red stones.

"Yes, Ivan," Tommy asked as he took a seat in an empty chair.

"Tommy, I know your parents had a talk with you about your behavior in the forest-"

"-it's none of your business, Ivan!" Tommy interrupted. "Don't you have any-"

"-yes, it is my concern," Ivan interrupted with a smirk. "You flipped one of those boys over and then you did a spinning kick at the other. You can't lie and say that boy fell and rolled down a hill. I saw it with my own eyes and so did a few other people."

"They were hitting on that girl and they wouldn't leave her alone!" Tommy shouted as he glared at Ivan. "Just because one person would handle a situation one way, doesn't mean others have to handle it the same way. We have our own points of views and our own beliefs."

"Tommy, don't forget that you have an appointment with the royal hair stylist," James reminded him when he stepped outside of his bedroom. "You forgot it last week."

"So, how do you want your hair?" Tanya asked as Tommy a seat in the chair and she put the cape over him.

"He wants it dyed purple?" Ivan snickered.

"I do not!" Tommy exploded as he glared at Ivan. "Why don't you leave?"

"I don't have to-"

"-excuse me Ivan," Tanya interrupted. "The last time you were here, you caused a lot of trouble. I want you to leave!"

Tommy ran his fingers through his new short and spiky hair as he walked out of Tanya's salon. He was very satisfied with his hair cut and he gave Tanya tip for her hard work. For months he had been wanting this new haircut. He had been saying for months or maybe even longer that it was too hot to have his long hair.

"Tommy, what happened to your hair!" Ivan gasped when he walked up behind Tommy as he opens the door to his parents' bedroom. "It looks terrible. Did you try to cut it yourself?"

"No," hissed as he walked by Ivan. "Don't you have anything better to do?"

"I bet you did cut your hair yourself," Ivan continued. "I bet it turned out horrible and the royal hair stylist had to fix it the best way she could-"

"-for the second time, I didn't cut my hair!" Tommy shouted through clinched teeth.

"I wonder what your parents are going to say?" Ivan remarked when he followed Tommy into his parents' room. "I'm sure they are going to hate it."

"Ivan, we actually like it," Jan answered with a smile. "He's been wanting to cut his hair this way for a long time."

"-but, I thought you'd hate it-"

"-enough, Ivan!" James interrupted as he got up from his chair and escorted Ivan out of the room. "Get out of this room. We need to talk with our son alone."

Author's note:

I had planned on Ivan Ooze being the grand duke since he always trying to cause trouble like the actual grand duke. I've got plans for Ivan for this story, so stay tuned. And yes one of those things will be trying to help Rita prevent Tommy from finding Kimberly.
