And I've return! Sorry it took so long.. Zoom school can take a lot of my creativity and motivation, anways here's the next chapter! Enjoy!

Videl shivered as she pulled on her jean jacket so it clung onto her body tighter, but it was all in vain as it was the middle of January and snowing and the wind was being relentless. Serves her right for choosing fashion over warmth she thought. Although she hadn't intended on spending more than two minutes outside, the silence and freshness of the air kept her lingering there. In fact, the only reason she was outside was to get out of her stuffy home that was filled with family and friends.

That night, they had all came together to celebrate her and Gohan's new promotions. Neither one of them wanted to celebrate, but Chichi insisted as Gohan had become the thing she had desired for him since being pregnant with him: a professor. Originally both her mother-in-law and father wanted to host a gala in an hour of the couple's promotions, but the couple firmly refused. They, eventually, met their parents in the middle with a small get together at their home, with those closes to them.

As she leaned against the wall of the house, she stared aimlessly at the falling snowflakes, behind her, Marron had joined them towing her daughter in her arms. "You doing okay Videl?" she asked.

The startled Videl turned around hastily, sighing in relief after realizing it was only Marron. "Sorry, I wasn't expecting anyone to follow me," She stammered out.

"It got pretty loud in there to me too. You missed it, Pan found out about Super Saiyan God and demanded that Goku, Vegeta, Goten, and Trunks show her. All the ruckus made baby Vee super upset, so I thought we would join you," Marron told her before smiling down at her daughter who was joyfully giggling as the snowflakes hit her rosy cheeks.

Hearing the giggles of the baby almost brought tears to her eyes. A pang of guilt overcame her as she thought about choosing her career over expanding her family. She smiled down at baby Venus, pondering the thought of her having her own little infant in her arms

Marron knew something was up with Videl, whether she wanted to admit it or not. At any other party, Videl would be laughing, teasing, and reminiscing of the old days with the others. It was very out of character of her. The blonde haired woman also found it quite strange that Gohan hadn't checked on her at all s. In fact, she only saw the couple together once that night. Whatever was eating at Videl, Maroon was determined to get to the bottom of it.

"Do you want to hold her?" the younger woman asked, shifting Venus onto her hip. "My arms are getting pretty tired."

Videl smiled as she held in arms out. "Sure, I'd love that."

Marron gently placed Venus and Videl's arms. She kept her hands there for back up just until Venus was securely in Videl's arms.

Venus waved her tiny fist in Videl's face and flashed her a slobbery innocent smile. Videl smiled back at the girl and cooed lovingly at her. "She's such a sweet girl Marron."

The smell and laughter from the child was the exact medicine she needed to end her depressive mood. Sadly, for her it wouldn't last for long then, then would spiral back into her regretful thoughts.

"What is Videl?" Marron asked, firmly and with genuine concernment. This wasn't like Videl to be so quiet and detached on a night like this.

Videl bit her bottom lip in hopes of preventing herself from word vomiting. Despite the freezing temperatures, Videl's hands began to perspire then her cheeks felt wet. "I feel so silly for being so upset about this, but Gohan and I were trying for another baby. It didn't happen instantly like it did with Pan. After a couple of months of trying I started to fear that maybe I wasn't… I wasn't able to get pregnant again. By month four I was ready to quit, Gohan kept reassuring me that the Doctor says I shouldn't be worried until it's been at least a year; but I was scared. I was so relieved when I was given the promotion, it was an easy way out of trying. I didn't want to get to the point where the doctor had to tell me that I was infertile."

Marron let out an overwhelmed sighed after taking the conversation in. As a midwife, she was no stranger to infertility and helping women through rainbow pregnancies. She admitted though, it's much worse with someone you know personally than professionally. Videl was exhibiting many worrisome signs, the most dangerous one: self-blame.

"You can't blame yourself Videl, you know this is something you can't control," Marron was now beside the woman, resting her hand on her back.

Videl shut her eyes tight before lifting her face up, letting the snowflakes cascaded on her face. Her face was red from crying and hot from anxiety. "I guess it doesn't really matter now does it? There's no way I can run a police station and raise a newborn and teenager."

Marron giggled. "You of all people should know how possible being a working mom is. You already do it once, wouldn't be too hard the second time since you already know the ropes of motherhood."

Videl rolled her eyes dramatically, she laughed at Marron's positivity and hopefulness. "That was almost fourteen years ago! Everything is so different now. Mom's are enrolling their babies in school before they know the gender. Everything has to be organic."

"You're Videl Satan, your dad's the world savior I need I remind you," Marron told her which prompted Videl to scoff at her last words. "You could easily get a hundred nannies, which I'm surprised you didn't use with Pan."

Videl let out an exasperated sigh in defeat. She had her reasons for not using nannies but her main reason was fear of not being there for the big moments. Her father had confessed to her years ago about how he regretted relying on nannies and butlers to raise Videl. She remembered how awful and lonely she felt when her father was on tour or couldn't make her school events.

The corner of Marron's lips curled into a half-smile as she stood in silence with Videl. She knew Videl was done talking about the subject; there was no use in pushing Videl in her eyes. Instead she decided to stand in solidarity with her.

The two women were soon interrupted by a clicking sound which drew their attention to the door that was opening.

"There you girls are! You simply must try this new cup of ramen Bulma brought Lord Beerus and I!" Whis greeted in his usual gregarious tone. Beerus spun around in his usual flamboyant way with blushing cheeks, giggling like a child. "I just love coming to Earth for you Humans celebrations. Plus Bulma always has something new for us to try. It's like you Earthlings have an infinite amount of recipes.

"Sure Beerus, just give Videl one more moment here," Marron responded.

"Hm," the angel pouted, dissatisfied with the answer he was given. "Suit yourself, but whatever reason are you three even doing out here?"

"Oh nothing, Videl was telling me how she's debating whether or not to have another baby," Marron blurted out.

"You have gotta be kidding me!" Videl shouted. "Y'know it's not rude to tell people's personal business!"

While the girls had it out, Whis chuckled to himself. This led to Videl turning her anger to Whis. "What's so funny?"

Whis approached her and waved his wand over her belly, causing it to radiate energy. "Well Videl… it's just that… you're already pregnant!" He revealed in between chuckles, but he abruptly stop once seeing Videl's mortified facial expression. 'So this isn't good news.."
