After departing from their bantha, they decided to split up. Bea and co. went to their base for a rest as Lincoln and T.J. decided to head to a waterhole to drink. It was formerly a street until the water system flooded it real badly. In which they did as it was refreshing. Lincoln and T.J. drinks up the water until they get up to leave. In which they climb up a tree to get a good view of everything.
T.J.: Nice, isn't it?
Lincoln: Yes if only our friends were here now.
But just then they see herds herbivores coming to the waterhole. All of them are deer, elk, antelope, aurochs, ostriches, ornithiomimids, giraffes, elephants, hadrosaurs, capybaras, zebras, wild horses, wild donkeys, bison, buffalo, wild sheep, wild goats, yaks, gaurs, pronghorns, rheas, emus, camels, llamas, alpacas, guanacos, vicunas, musk oxen, bantengs, musk deer, kelbis, mouse-deer, serows, gorals, takins, tahrs, tapirs, quaggas, rhinos, harelope, okapis, possets and rabbucks as they all gather here for the water.
Lincoln: That is just a lot of herbivores.
T.J.: I know right?
As they watch from the trees, they see a pack of Gastornis stalking in the bushes nearby. Lincoln and T.J. knew this met trouble as these guys are brutal and turn their heads around like owls! They were soon stalking the prey. And before they knew it, the predators started attacking the herbivores. Mostly of the herbivores flee in terror, while some of them stand their group in an attempt to fight off the birds.
Lincoln and T.J. watched from above as the Gastornis manage to kill a baby gazelle, elephant calf, a gaur, sambar doe, ostrich male, female rhea, 4 emus, a llama and an ibex in one kill as the other herbivores felt for their lives.
Lincoln: Come on we're getting out of here.
T.J.: And let's not speak of this.
Lincoln agreed as they head back to base. It was where Bea and the group were there as they were resting. Lincoln and T.J. did not tell them what they witness about the birds.
