He got home to find Mercedes and Lola curled up on the spare bed. Mercedes softly singing to Lola, who seemed really content, Mercedes had left the door open, but he still knocked before entering. She shot him a smile and so he let himself in.

"Hey." She greeted him, with a small nervous smile.

"Hey," He perched on the end of the bed. "how are you?"

"We're good," Mercedes stated with a nod. "Lola and I did a long walk and it gave me some time to think."

"Yeah?" Sam questioned running a hand through his hair.

"Tell me about your day first?" She suggested, sitting up, which led Lola to crawl onto her lap.

"I think she loves you more then me." Sam pointed to his dog. Mercedes just laughed. "And I want you to tell me what you're thinking." He added, looking at her.

She gulped and then nodded. "I thought about it long and hard." Mercedes stated. "And I want my baby to have a father." She added, looking at Sam, before turning her attention to Lola, patting her as she spoke. "But being a father is a huge responsibility Sam and I don't want you to regret your offer. I never would have imagined or asked."

"I never would have offered if I didn't mean it." Sam stated. "I know it probably seemed rash, but Mercedes I..."

"Sam." She cut him off. "I know that, I do. And so I came up with an idea, I want you to be the father," His face lit up and he leant forward, but she held her hand up. "on three conditions," She stated. "one we confirm to no one that you are the father until the twelve week point, that gives you eight weeks to change your mind, which is totally okay to do, and you have to promise me that if you do change your mind you'll tell me and Sam there will be no judgement if you do."

"Okay." He agreed, with a nod. He had no intention of changing his mind, but for her sake he played along with it.

"Two you get to name the baby," She stated. "I'll have five vetos, but I want you to choose the name." Sam gave her a smile as he nodded his agreement. "Three, you have to promise me that if I get too much for you, you'll tell me."

Sam nodded. "I don't think that's possible, Mercedes but I promise." He agreed. There was a moment's silence before he spoke again. "So we're having a baby?" He asked.

"We're having a baby." She confirmed.

"You're gonna be a sister Lola." Sam cheered, noticing Mercedes was smiling but the smile didn't quite meet her eyes.

Day two of directing Glee club was off to a bad start. Tina had spent all night stalking Mike's new girlfriend and was in an especially bad mood as Brianna tried to flirt with Sam.

"Brianna shut up." Tina snapped as Brianna offered to duet with Sam. "It's inappropriate and we both know it." She added and Blaine nodded his agreement. "So everyone take seat. And welcome our new members Mason and Madison McCarthy, who will be auditioning by backing me up on this song."

Blaine gave Sam a shrug at Tina surprising them with the new auditioniees, and they both took a seat.

The music started and Tina turned her back to the group, Madison and Mason standing either side of her mirroring her action. Tina wiggled her hips a little before turning around.

The twins stepped back as Tina began to sing. "And she's taller than most,

And she's looking at me,

I can see her eyes looking from the page of a magazine," Sam didn't miss that Tina's eyes were watering a little.

"She makes me feel like I could be a tower,

A big strong tower, yeah," Tina continued as the twins stepped forward.

"Suddenly I see," Sang Mason and Madison.

"Suddenly I see," Tina sang as the twins echoed. "suddenly I see"

"This is what I wanna be," Tina carried on a rogue tear escaping.

"Mason, Madison." Blaine got too his feet. "Welcome to glee club." He stated as the bell sounded, as soon as the last student was out of the room Tina broke down in tears.

"Poor T." Mercedes sighed when she heard about what had happened earlier that day, whilst he began to make them both dinner. Sam opened his mouth to reply, but she wrinkled up her nose in disgust. "Shut the fridge door." She commanded, placing a hand on her stomach. Slightly alarmed Sam did so, but it was too late, Mercedes was rushing past him to get to the bathroom.

Sam sighed, she was definately pregnant. He'd forgotten what it had been like when his mom had the twins, sickness all the time, mood swings, weird cravings, he'd once caught her eating oreos with sliced banana and chilli jam, he would have to prepare for when Mercedes reached that stage.

Right now though he'd chosen to be a father and that meant helping the future mom through the pregnancy. With Lola at his heels he rushed up the stairs to find Mercedes vomiting into a tall house plant. He winced a little before gathering up her hair and patting her back.

"I'm sorry." She choked between vomiting. "I ruined your plant." Tears escaped, and Lola whimpered.

"It's a plan Cedes', I can buy another one, I don't even like it that much anyway, it's so big and messy, and now I can honestly tell the person who gifted me it that it was damaged. Really Cedes' this is a win for me." She laughed and then winced as she began to throw up again. "Well you're definitely pregnant." He told her, as he continued to rub her back. "We're definitely having a human of our own." He beamed.
