"Get up, Hugo!" cried out Hattie bouncing on Hugo's bed.
"Ugh," groaned Hugo, placing a pillow over his head. "Go bother Rosie, yeah?"
Meanwhile Rose stood in front of her vanity, obsessively brushing her hair as a million things running through her mind. Today she, Albus, and Scorpius were traveling to Bryn Hudoll to finish the spell that the Founders started many years ago. The thought of mastering this spell and potentially ending this conflict once and for all excited and frightened Rose.
"Look, Rosie!" said Hattie, who successfully snuck distracted Rose. A horrified Rose tried to grab Hattie off of the neatly-made bed, but Hattie merely laughed as she managed to hop away from Rose. Rose sighed as she began to smooth over the creases left behind from Hattie.
As Rose finished, she looked up and saw Scorpius leaning against the doorframe.
"It worked," said Rose smiling proudly.
"What?" asked Scorpius.
"Your hair," said Rose. Last night, Rose and Hermione decide to colour Scorpius's hair so no one would recognize him during their travels to Bryn Hudoll. This morning was the first time Scorpius saw their handiwork since the potion was clear when it went into his hair. Now his blonde hair was the same shade of ginger as Hugo and Ron.
"Wow!" exclaimed Scorpius running his fingers through his hair. Rose chortled to herself as Scorpius admired his new hair.
"Now you look like a Weasley," laughed Rose.
"Rose? Scorpius?" called out Hermione. "Are you ready?"
"Coming, Mum!" responded Rose. "Let's go, Scorpius." As Rose walked out, Scorpius still stood in front of the mirror.
"It's still there," huffed Rose, standing with her arms crossed and head tilted to the right. "It's not going anywhere!"
"I know," said Scorpius.
"Then why are still staring at it?" asked Rose.
"Because," said Scorpius. "It's brilliant, absolutely brilliant...you are brilliant, Rose."
Although this wasn't the first time Scorpius complimented her work, it was the first time Scorpius's tone sounded warm and earnest. This different tone pleasantly surprised Rose, however she wasn't sure how to respond to such kinds words.
"Rose! Scorpius! Let's go!" yelled Ron.
This provided a chance for Rose to get out of that awkward situation. For Scorpius, there was something endearing about seeing the normally self-assured Rose being flustered in embarrassing situations. As she ran out of the room, Scorpius chortled to himself as he followed behind her.
After a quiet breakfast, Hermione gave a tearful good-bye to Hugo, Rose, and Scorpius since she would be staying behind to watch Hattie and Ruby. Ron and Hugo were going to King's Cross while Rose and Scorpius would go the other way to Euston Station. The four of them arrived to the station where they found Albus waiting for them under the station's sign.
"Are you all alone?" asked Rose, concerned that Albus would be a target without having someone around him.
"Are you mad?" asked Scorpius, who had this same fear.
"Good to see you too," said Albus.
"Where are your sisters?" asked Ron.
"With Uncle George and Freddie," said Albus. "Don't worry, nobody's after me."
"Don't be so certain, mate," said Ron. "All three of you need to watch out for each other, yeah?"
"Yeah," echoed Albus and Scorpius.
"Yes, Dad," said Rose giving him a big hug. Ron warmly smiled as he squeezed his daughter tightly.
"Be safe, Rosie," said Ron, kissing the top of her head. "Your brother and sisters need you."
"I will," said Rose.
"I'll be fine without her," scoffed Hugo.
"Oh give me a hug, you numpty!" said Rose, enveloping her stunned brother.
Ron gave Al a quick hug and assured him that he'll make sure that his mother and the rest of his siblings are safe while Harry is on the run. Then, Ron turned to Scorpius. Although Ron now trusted Scorpius, he wasn't sure how to say farewell to him. Luckily for Ron, Scorpius also felt the same way and merely held out his hand to shake Ron's.
"Take care of her," said Ron, referring to Rose.
"Always," said Scorpius.
"C'mon, Dad!" said Hugo, finally escaping Rose's embrace. "Before she entraps me again!"
"Honestly, Hugo!" scoffed Rose.
"Good luck," said Ron. The three teenagers waved good-bye and walked into the station. This was the same trio Ron watched grow from the lively first-years that hopped off the Hogwarts Express together to three young adults embarking on a remarkable journey.
