This is a bonus scene for "The Grand Master Plan". This is going to be a change of Masters kind of scenario. Read further to find out what I mean.

Chapter Five. Change of Masters

The Master was in the control room of his TARDIS, angry and annoyed at his latest defeat at the hands of the Doctor and his companions, even as the Doctor had regenerated just recently.

"The Doctor has really gone too far this time!" the Master exclaimed, "I swear, I will get him for this humiliation!"

The time lord pressed a button to leave for his next destination. He shown to the TARDIS team that he was calm but deep down, he was not happy and completely angry at this recent defeat. Maybe he would console with the Rani and try to beat back the Doctor the next time they would meet, at least, that was what he had hoped.

The Master heard a beep on the control. He tried to open the screen but found that he couldn't. Realizing that this was a communication that would not be on screen, the Master sighed in annoyance, "So, how could this day get any worse?"

"Indeed it can get worse." a deep sinister male voice answered, "Hello. I thought I would let you know that it is over for you."

"What the?!" the Master was startled by the threat of this stranger and demanded, "Who is this?! Who is calling?!"

"You see here," the voice continued, unphased by the tone in the Master's voice, "Both Chaos and Darkairai, the head masters of the dark side of the Balance, along with myself, have all been patient with you and your failures all the way up until this point and we have reached our limit. It has become unbearable for the council of evil to even watch."

"Now who are you to..." the Master started to ask.

"We are ashamed to even admit that you worked for our side of the Balance," the voice interrupted the Master, "unlike your fellow Time Lords the Rani and the Doctor, as there is much that we still have in store for them both, but as for you, do yourself a favor and perish."

"Perish?" the Master narrowed his eyes, clearly not happy with the person that was threatening him, then he proceeded to ask, "Did you mention the Rani and the Doctor?"

"I believe I did. I also believe that your days as the Master have officially ended."

"What?!" the Master exclaimed in a fit of anger, "That is just absurb! I am going to find out who you are and then I am going to track down the Rani for sending you here to threaten me in such a manner!"

The Master tried to touch the consoles of his TARDIS but they were flaming hot to the touch.

"How is that possible?!" the Master exclaimed.

Suddenly, the TARDIS started spinning out of control. The Master tried to regain control of his TARDIS but to no avail as all of his efforts, resulted in him landing back on the floor. The time lord looked on in fear as he had lost control of his TARDIS, knowing it would be a matter of moments before it was indeed over for him.

A man watched from the screen of his TARDIS as the TARDIS of the former and now deceased Master had exploded, never to have him regenerate again.

"Thank you for all your hard work for the dark side of the balance." the man smiled a sinister smile before closing the screen.

The man in question stood 6 foot 1 in height with a slight muscular build. He wore dark clothing and his grey hair was slicked back. His dark brown eyes gave out a sinister stare as he smiled an evil smile.

"Everything is going according to plan." the mysterious man declared, "The dark side of the balance, especially Darkairai and Chaos will most certainly be pleased with this outcome as well. I also know for certain that the Doctor and his companions will surely be in for a surprise when they see the Master again. The Master, being me."

With that, the new Master smiled in satisfaction as he chuckled.

Author's Note: Well, you can say this was a scenario of "Out with the old, in with the new" when it comes to the Master and who the Master would be. I know this was a short chapter but I wanted to introduce a new twist with the Master and here it is.

I heard that Anthony Stewart Head was supposed to be the new Master when the Doctor Who reboot first came into play in like 2005, something like that with the rumor in question, so with that being said, I created this scenario to bring in someone who would be like Anthony Stewart Head's Master, which would have been like a combination of both Roger Delgado and Anthony Ainley's Masters.
