Both Naruto and the mysterious ROOT member stood staring at each other waiting for the other to make a move, the unknown member threw several kunai at the Jinchuriki, Naruto easily avoided the onslaught of projectiles. Naruto breezed his way through the open field and his fist collided with the mask on the head of the unknown assailant. The ROOT member stumbled a bit back after the hit. She got back in a fighting stance.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouted his signature move.

Hundreds of Narutos poofed in the field and went straight for the ROOT member. The clones tried various punches and kicks against the member. But they dodged each of the clones attacks. Naruto realized after each clone was destroyed, that this wasn't going to be an easy fight. Naruto's clones memories came rushing back to his head. When one memory in particular got his attention, apparently one of the clones got a little more in someone's personal space than usual and that clone felt the two soft globes on the ROOT member's chest, meaning he was fighting a female. Naruto changed up his strategy, he would simply exhaust the ROOT kunoichi and end the fight. Naruto once again turned to his signature jutsu.

"Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!" he yelled and two times as clones materialized in the field as the last time. They all went for the kunoichi. She dodged all the clones attacks and it looked like she wasn't breaking a sweat doing it. 'Damn, she isn't even tired out. Looks I'm going to be more direct with a powerful jutsu' Naruto thought. He made more clones and blended in the crowd. To summon one of his more powerful jutsus.

The kunoichi was starting to tire...not physically, but of all these clones that the blonde kept sprouting up at will. 'The jinchuriki is one of the powerful ninjas and all he's doing is Shadow clones? the kid needs to have a little more in his arsenal'

the kunoichi thought to himself. Just as the thought had left her mind.

'Rasengan!'

Naruto screamed as he launched the blue sphere at the female kunoichi as he hit it, she dematerialized out of thin air.

"Huh? What happened?" Naruto stood there dumbfounded and perturbed as he wondered where the physical form of the kunoichi was. A fingerless gloved fist connected to his jaw, Naruto went down with a thud on the ground from the impact. 'It shouldn't be over this early, but if it is, then it couldn't have come at a better time. That Izanagi took a lot of charka out of me. I better rest and complete my miss-' 'Naruto's' body poofed away. "Oh dam-" the kunoichi said before the real Naruto hit a rasengan on her and knocked her out. Naruto stood with a busted jaw and blood dripping from his nose as he tasted his own blood.

"Naruto-kun?" a pregnant Itsuki came onto the field to check on her unborn kid's father? Boyfriend?, she wasn't really sure what they were, but he was important, so she had to check on him. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be out here!" Naruto told her. He was always so considerate "Sakura said I couldn't train, she didn't say anything about going outside" Itsuki told Naruto.

"I just want you to be safe, you and the teme have a target on your back!" Naruto declared while he pointed to the prone and defeated kunoichi. Itsuki walked over to the defeated female. The first thing she was the attire she wore was similar to ANBU. Why would an ANBU try to kill her and her sister, order by the Hokage? Impossible, Tsunade knew how much her and Sasuko meant to Naruto, so that was unlikely. Another thing her analytical mind picked up on was the mask she wore, it looked like the one she wore from her time when she was in ANBU, really looked like it...IT WAS HER MASK. Itsuki's emotionless visage faltered a little upon the verification of her old mask being worn. "...My mask" she whispered to herself or so she thought as Naruto heard her. "Your mask?" Naruto questioned Itsuki. "That was the mask I wore back when I was in ANBU, my code name was Weasel from the look of it" she directed Naruto to the mask.

"How can you tell?" Naruto inquired. "Its the same color and its weathered a little bit" Itsuki answered her love. "I'm sure, my sister told you about me being in ANBU" Itsuki looked at Naruto, he nodded for her answer. Itsuki dropped on one of her knees. 'Whoever this is, it has to do something personal with me' Itsuki thought as she lowered her hand towards the mask to remove it. "What are you doing Itsuki-chan?!" Naruto frantically panicked as he grabbed her shoulder to stop her. "I'm gonna take the mask off" Itsuki nonchalantly told Naruto. Naruto was about to object to her resuming when she told him he could watch if the kunoichi did anything, Naruto reluctantly allowed her to continue. She took the mask off and looked at the face.

Her face was no longer conveying no emotion

"Izumi?!"

Back at IT Department, Inoichi was trying to interrogate the recently discovered still alive Izumi Uchiha.

"Why do you want the Uchiha sisters dead? Who gave you the order to do such a thing?!" Inoichi prodded into the female Uchiha.

Izumi sat there with her head turned away from the sandy blonde not showing any emotion or any sign of breaking down and give any information, Danzo's ROOT organization and initiation had certainly done the trick in making her cold. A farcry from the way she used to be. A nice, considerate and help up kunoichi of the Uchiha clan. She wouldn't have ever fell to the Curse of Hatred...until the night that the clan was massacred.

Flashback: the night of the Uchiha Clan Massacre, 10 years ago.

Izumi had awoken up from passing out from Itsuki's genjutsu. She wondered why Itsuki put her in a genjutsu, she invited her to just talk, being as she was her best friend. She accepted without hesitation. She then heard of howls of pain and screaming coming from the other side of the town. Izumi ran frantically towards the noise of the screams 'the clan is being attacked' she thought. She was a little wobbly from being out for so long. She ultimately changed her strategy as she went to the rooftops surveying the scene. What she saw, thought she might hurl. What lay beneath her was puddles of fresh blood and the slain clansmen and women under those puddles.

"Did Itsuki do this?" Izumi asked herself in disbelief. Then another thought creeped in her mind as her and Itsuki was talking...near her house. "Mother!" Izumi sprinted towards the direction of her house praying to whatever god existed that she would be okay and Itsuki would've been sloppy and skimped over their house. 'Itsuki, I trusted you, what have you done?' Tears dripped from her face as she ran.

She dropped down at the entrance of her house, where to her horror, she saw blood coming from the doorway. "No! Mother!" she ran into the room and saw her corpse. She wept uncontrollably as she held her mother in her arms. She could barely get words out of her mouth. The feeling of betrayal and sadness consumed Izumi as she held her dead mother in her arms, rocking back and forth. Then anger, murderous rage consumed Izumi. She laid her mother on the tiles of the floor. "Mother, I will avenge you and the clan, the Uchihas blood is on Itsuki's hands, but I will have her blood on my hands." Izumi said in a mix of anger and determination. Unaware, just a few rows down from her, a six old Uchiha who had just passed out from a genjutsu, that girl had made the same promise. Izumi left the village, after that. she would have the village think she was dead by leaving a corpse and henging it's based on her. She would train outside of the village for a while with one goal on mind.

'Kill Itsuki Uchiha'

End flashback.

Inoichi tried to enter her mind and but he was kicked out, due to her unbreakable will and unwillingness to cooperate with IT. Inoichi left the room and joined Naruto, Itsuki, and Sasuko who were watching behind the see through glass. "She won't budge, but I'm sure we will breakthrough eventually, for now you three get some sleep, it's close to morning. We'll keep behind a cell into she tells who gave the order to kill you two" Inoichi said as he left the room. The three left the Department with Naruto and Sasuko noticing Itsuki was way quieter than usual. 'Izumi, I did this to you, I'm sorry' she thought as all three went back to compound.

Sleep would avoid Itsuki on this night.
