Editor's notes
So I apologize for my latency, I've been busy as of lately, I apologize so this will be my second upload for this week, I plan to make it to chapter 10 by the end of this week, again I apologize, Also this chapter will be much more sorrow then most chapters of this book, I wanted to quickly ask, Should I start chapter 2 so ya'll can see different aspects before they merge?

Now onto the story^^
Izuku, Rose, Ray and Tsu all got ready for their track to the marsh. Asui seemed happy as she'd be returning to her home.
"You seem to be in a cheery mood" Ray said as he powered up his core, Putting some metal ingots in it. "You get to see where I grew up from am tadpole!*ribbit*" Tsu said smiling before a knock was heard at the garden's main door. "H-Hello?" a shy voice asked behind the door. "Come in!" Izuku said politely. The door open and a pale boy with black hair and cyan robes walked in "Sorry for disturbing you, I was wondering if I could possibly join you, I have studied runes and symbols my entire time here at the cathedral, My father despised it but my grandmother embraced it, So I wanted to help you in case there was anything that needed decrypting" the boy said smiling while holding a journal.
Rose was about to speak before being cut off by Ray "The more the merrier, right Izuku?" Ray chuckled as Izuku nodded in agreement. "But you'll need your grandmother's approval as well." Izuku added. "No need, He can go, I know you'll keep him safe." Nana said, standing behind the boy. "L-Lady Shimura?!" Izuku said with shock. "This is Tenko, My grandson, He has an adept knowledge of runes and symbols, He's studied them since he could read" Nana said smiling, Patting tenko's head as there was a noticeable difference in height.
"We will keep him safe" Rose said, bowing her head and putting a clenched fist over her heart. "I knew you would say that Rosaline" Nana smiled and tilted her head.
Rose seemed shocked at the name as Ray seemed worried, "H-H-Hey sis, C-Calm down" Ray said, Holding her close and patting her back. Nana seemed worried "Did I say something wrong?" Nana asked worryingly. "Not exactly, Rose has PTSD as the psychiatric ward calls it, It's a mental infliction that certain words or sounds will cause Rose to enter a panicked state, In this case it's what name you used, She's abandoned it because of-" Ray said before being cut off by an Aggressive Rose, "ENOUGH, I apologize, I'll be outside for fresh air" Rose stormed out with Asui following close behind her. "Oh dear" Nana said before walking away. Izuku, Ray and Tenko started walking outside before hearing a scream. Tenko and Izuku ran to lady Shimura and Ray ran to Asui and Rose. A frailm, sickly green monster was attacking Nana but was quickly taken down by Tenko's adept use of a statue's Halberd. Another purplish white monster much more brutish looking was attacking Rose and Asui but their attacks were doing nothing. "STAND CLEAR" Ray yelled before incinerating the creature with a massive beam fired by his core which left a metallic trail where it fired, Scorching a massive radius of once lush land. Ray quickly ran to Asui and Rose who were both terrified, Rose being scared by the monster and Tsu being scared of Ray's Ray.
"We need to regroup and get somewhere safe, Fast!" Ray said, Carrying Rose and Tsu on his back and dashing back to Tenko, Izuku and Nana. "The Cathedral is no longer safe, We must escape, Who knows what other areas have these creatures, we must head to unmarked territory" Ray said, Holding the petrified girls on his back. "Tenko, Izuku, You two escort Lady Shimura to her chambers while I get these two to safety, If there are more of them, They will come, We have to find and attack the spawn of these creatures they are using, It's the only way to assure safety!" Ray yelled, Running to the barracks wing and locking Rose and Asui in a room before running off to view the outside from the grand balcony.
When he arrived he saw hundreds of pillars of smoke rising around the Cathedral. Ray began to run before he was blocked by a hulking creature with dark purple skin and a beak like mouth which seemed unfazed. "IZUKU, TENKO, GET NANA OUT OF HERE!" Ray yelled as his core was out of metal to attack so he ran and avoided the creatures attacks. Izuku and Tenko heard and escorted Lady Shimura to the catacombs of the Cathedral, Hiding below the surface.
Creatures roamed the Cathedral for hours before silence was all that was heard. "Tenko, I need you to stay here and protect Lady Shimura, I'll go to make sure the others are safe." Izuku said before exiting. Tenko nodded and stayed close to Nana. Izuku wandered the halls that were now in discord. He made it to the top level and saw Ray bleeding out profusely as his core flickered an ill glow as he say against the window frame, Izuku quickly wrapped his arm and carried him to the barracks where he found Asui and Rose, Shaking with fear. "Rose, Tsu, We need to get Ray medical assistance fast" Izuku said which snapped Rose back to reality, Rose nodded and escorted Asui back and Izuku retrieved Nana and Tenko. "Is there anything here we can use to help Ray?!" Izuku asked panicked, Tenko seemed timid but raised his hand "my ability allows me to speed up the process of a body, I can try to speed up his healing process to stop the bleeding" Tenko said placing his hand on Ray's now severed upper arm before a green glow appeared and the bandages that Izuku added seemed to harden quickly, as they were removed, The bloody appendage seemed scabbed over and stopped bleeding as Ray's core now had a consistent low ember glow. Rose sighed in relief as she looked at Ray's stub. "Excuse my ignorance of the event, But lady Shimura, Do you have any metal I could use at the moment?" Rose asked, looking grim.
"Y-Yes, Tenko can escort you there, I need rest for right now, It's all a lot to take in…" Nana said walking with a slight limp to her quarters. "Follow me Rose, You may use as much metal as you need, As well as any other material you need" Tenko said as he walked with a little bit of blood on his Cyan robes. "Hey Tsu, I know you were excited but let's hold off on heading back to the marsh, Heading back may cause those monsters to attack your village" Izuku said with a weak grin. "Yeah…" Asui replied, sitting with her chin on her knees.
The next morning was oddly calm. Izuku wandered into the garden early and spotted a female with long black hair making what looked like an arm.
"Hello?" Izuku asked as the girl jolted up. "Oh!, Izuku, It's just you, It's me, Rose, I took off my Armor, As to not get any grim on it." Rose had seemed jumpy at first but quickly calmed back down.
