Have fun guys,

Guillo

Now, everybody is bored as fuck.

Bender lit his shoe on fire to light up his cigarette.

Princess was leaning on her hand.

Brian was staring at her and after a while put his blasted hat on his crotch. Really Bri? Her?

Andrew was messing with his sweater and was playing football with some paper.

The other girl was drawing.

I was reading my book, but all the words looked the same. I couldn't make a difference, I was rereading lines, so I shut it and closed my eyes, my head leaning on the table.

Suddenly, I heard a voice that told us to wake up. I didn't open my eyes in fear of what the vice-principal would do but when he asked who had to go to the lavatory, I quickly raised my hand and from what I heard, I wasn't the only one.

When we came back, Bender sat on the railing tearing apart some book (making me flinch with each page. This is criminal.) I returned to my seat (with my notebook, leaving Alice in my bag) like Princess and the third girl, Brian began to read behind John and Andy stretched for some reason.

"That's real intelligent." commented Andrew while looking at Bender.

"You're right... It's wrong to destroy literature... It's such fun to read... and, Molet really pumps my nads!" exclaimed the criminal.

"Molière." I corrected at the same time as the Princess.

She glared at me but, John shot me a surprised look and I just smiled in return.

"I love his work." chimed in Brian which earned him the rest of the book thrown at his head and he ducked it just in time. I glared at Bender before turning to my friend.

"Which one is your favorite?" I asked him curiously.

"The Imaginary Invalid."

I groaned at that.

"That's so boring. The play is great, don't get me wrong but it got boring for me. I like The Impostures of Scapin better!"

"Since when do you know Moliere, G?" he asked, slightly bemused.

"Call me uncultured if you wish!" I exclaimed in fake anger

"That's… That's not what I meant; I swear!"

I laughed.

"I know Bri. I'm French remember? Le malade imaginaire, le bourgeois gentilhomme, les fourberies de Scapin…, I studied it all in school, over and over. Every year, I had to read a new one. I love theater and Molière but at the end, that was getting tiring." I explained with an eye roll

He nodded and smiled at me.

"You're French?" asked a now familiar voice.

I turned, nodded, and smiled

"Bien sûr! J'ai vraiment perdu mon accent à ce point-là ? " I said with a smirk

John smirked back at me, an unreadable expression on his face.

"By the way G" began Brian "Did you really get into that much trouble with your parents?"

I shrugged

"I don't know. My dad yelled and threatened but at the end of the 'discussion', he was smiling and laughing with Anthony at what I did. And my mom straight up told me she was proud of me." I answered with a smile

He snorted

"Are you punished?"

I nodded

"He took the phone away for a week."

He frowned at that.

"Who are you going to call? I don't have one. Wasn't it broken anyway?" he asked in confusion

"It is." I answered, smirking. He laughed and we got quiet

We stayed in silence for a few moments before he spoke up again:

"Nothing to do when you're locked in a vacancy." said Bender.

"Speak for yourself." spat Andrew.

I looked up at the sky. Come on, not again!

"Do you think I speak for you? I don't even know your language." exclaimed the criminal.

The jock looked at John before turning to Princess. "You grounded tonight?"

"I don't know... My mom said I was. My dad told me to just blow her off." she replied.

Because that sounds healthy.

The athlete looked at John again before continuing his conversation with Claire.

"Big party at Stubby's. His parents are in Europe. It should be pretty wild. Are you going to go?"

"I doubt it." the princess replied.

"How come?"

"Because if I do what my mother tells me not to do, it's because my father says it's okay. There's like this whole big monster deal, it's like endless and it's a total drag. It's like any minute... divorce." she explained.

"Who do you like better?" Suddenly asked Bender.

"What?" she demanded like his question was really hard to understand.

"You like your old man better than your mom?"

"They're both strict." she answered.

"No, I mean if you had to choose between them." Bender explained.

"I don't know... I'd probably go live with my brother. I mean, I don't think either one of them gives a shit about me... it's like they use me just to get back at each other."

"HA!" I heard from the table in the back. I turned and looked at the third girl in astonishment as she blew at her hair. I like this girl.

"Shut up!" Princess screamed at her and I glared at her.

"You're just feeling sorry for yourself." Andrew commented.

Interesting, you don't back her up when it gets hard?

"Yeah, well if I didn't, nobody else would." the princess shot back, visibly hurt by his words.

Poor Princess.

"Aw, you're breaking my heart." Andy sarcastically.

"Sporto." Bender suddenly intervened.

"What?"

"You get along with your parents?" he asked while jumping off the rail to go next to the athlete.

Is he defending Princess? Why would he defend her? He has done nothing but antagonize her for hours. Or is he trying to anger Sporto?

"Well, if I say yes, I'm an idiot, right?"

"You're an idiot anyway. But if you say you get along with your parents, well you're a liar too." He told him simply.

Andrew glared and Bender started to walk away.

He followed the criminal and pushed him. Not again, please! This is going to end badly for the two of them.

"You know something, man... If we weren't in school right now, I'd waste you!" he exclaimed.

Bender points his middle finger at the floor before saying

"Can you hear this? Want me to turn it up?" he asked as he flipped him the bird.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Brian getting up and walking towards the both of them so I got up to stop him but didn't get the chance.

"Hay fellas, I mean…" He began putting a hand on both of their shoulders which they shrugged off. "...I don't like my parents either, I don't...I don't get along with them...their idea of parental compassion is just, you know, wacko!"

I sighed at how true that statement was. His mother was expecting too much from him and his father… Well, the less said about him, the better from where I am concerned. I got closer to Brian and squeezed his shoulder before sitting on the table next to the princess', my feet on a chair.

John saw this and glared at Brian

"Dork…"

"Yeah?"

"You are a parent's wet dream, okay?" he said as he walked away

A flash of hurt crosses Brian's face.

"Well, that's a problem!"

"Look, I can see you getting all bunged up for them making you wear these kinda clothes. But face it, you're a Neo-Maxi-Zoom-Dweebie! What would you be doing if you weren't out making yourself a better citizen?" he mocked

I had it.

"Enough! John please, leave him alone!" I nearly screamed at him while pleading with my eyes.

He glared at me. I flinched. He hates me. He must hate me.

"Why would I let your boyfriend be?"

"Because I ask you kindly to leave my FRIEND alone. Please"

He looked shocked but nodded once at me and I smiled brightly at him, I swear, the corners of his mouth twitch up.

"Why do you have to insult everybody?" asked Andrew, annoyed

"I'm being honest, asshole! I would expect you… to know the difference!" he answered sarcastically

"Yeah well, he's got a name!"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah" he paused before turning to Bri "What's your name?"

I snorted.

"Really?" I asked him in disbelief, he smiled briefly and shrugged.

"Brian…"

"See…"

Bender walks towards us before turning to Brian.

"My condolences."

I laughed at that. I said a very similar thing to him when I got comfortable enough to truly be myself around him. Brian rolled his eyes at me, making me laugh harder. When I sobered up, I opened my notebook and was about to write something.

"What's your name, Blondie?" asked me John.

I smiled not looking up from my notebook and reaching down at my boot to grab my pen.

"Gabrielle." I answered with a heavy French accent

"Gay, what?"

I snorted and looked up at John.

"Call me Gabby"

He stared at me and I began to feel self-conscious. I wrapped an arm around my stomach again.

"What's your name?" Claire suddenly asked John.

I frowned at her.

Doesn't she listen to other people when they speak? Or does she only like the sound of her own voice?

"What's yours?"

"Claire."

I can finally call her something other than "Princess"

"Ka-Laire?" repeated Bender, I snorted.

"Actually, it's Claire, it's a French name." I told him.

"It's a family name!" she defended her name, ignoring me.

"It's a fat girl name." he retorted

I flinched, and I felt Brian's hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Andy watching me carefully and I tried to smile to reassure him, but he still got closer.

"Well, thank you." she said.

"You're welcome." simply replied the criminal.

"I'm not fat!" the princess spoke up.

"Well, not at present, but I could see you really pushing maximum density!" retorted John. "You see, I'm not sure if you know this, but there are two kinds of fat people. There are fat people that were born to be fat and then there's fat people that were once thin but they became fat... So, when you look at them, you can sorta see that thin person inside!"

I pulled my legs to me and hugged them.

I don't want to hear this anymore. Shut the hell up.

I felt my hands begin to shake.

"You see, you're gonna get married, you're gonna squeeze out a few puppies and then..." Bender finished by miming becoming fat, making some weird noises.

"And why are you telling me this and not Gabby over there?" she asked snidely

I tensed and froze.

"After all" she continued with a smirk "if anyone's fat here, it's her."

"Shut the fuck up Claire." Yelled Andy seeing me close up.

Brian put an arm around my shoulder while glaring at Claire. I was angry. Not at her but at myself. I thought this was over, that I didn't care about what people thought anymore, I was obviously wrong.

"Because she looks great, unique. But you will look like any old woman who wishes they were still sixteen" Answered Bender coldly

I smiled a little at that. Maybe I should be offended but I was mostly pleased. He thinks I look great? I frowned. No, he doesn't, I'm sure he lied to make a point. Yeah, that's obviously what happened.

John smirked at Claire's reaction, who was giving him the middle finger.

"Oh, obscene finger gestures from such a pristine girl!" Bender gasped.

"I'm not that pristine!" Princess defended herself.

Bender then bent down close to the princess. "Are you a virgin?"

Okay, that's pushing too far. This kind of things are private.

"I'll bet you a million dollars that you are!" he continued. I shot him a warning look, which he decided to ignore. "Let's end the suspense! Is it gonna be... a white wedding?"

"Why don't you just shut up?" spat Claire.

For once, I was agreeing with her, he really should shut up.

He ignored her and continued. "Have you ever kissed a boy on the mouth? Have you ever been felt up? Over the bra, under the blouse, shoes off... hoping to God your parents don't walk in?"

He was really pushing it too far

"Do you want me to puke?"

Really? That's the best you could come up with? We're talking about sex, that's not disgusting. You couldn't do more to keep up your pristine image.

"Over the panties, no bra, blouse unbuttoned, Calvin's in a ball on the front seat past eleven on a school night?"

"Yes, yes, yes, no, yes, no" I suddenly chimed in.

Fuck what have I done? Everyone was staring at me, but I was way too angry to care at the moment.

"The answers to your questions. In order of appearance of course. Don't bite more than you can chew, asshole." I snapped.

He seems amused but I saw a flash of hurt and anger there and I felt bad for a second but what he had done wasn't cool.

He laughed softly.

"Not so mute anymore. And getting more interesting by the minute." He smirked at me and winked. I blushed but glared. I was angry at him.

Suddenly, Andrew decided to intervene. "Leave them alone!"

I turned to him with shock. He was defending me too?

"You're going to make me?" Bender challenged.

"Yeah."

"You and how many of your friends?" he questioned, walking toward him.

"Just me. You and me. Two hits; me hitting you and you hitting the floor." Andrew explained.

I looked away to look for my notebook just one moment and when I looked up, the both of them are on the floor.

"I don't want to get into this with you man." John said.

"Why not?" Andy asked while standing up at the same time as the criminal.

"'Cause I'd kill you. It's real simple. I'd kill you and your fucking parents would sue me. It'd be a big mess and I don't even care to bother." Bender explained calmly.

I have no doubt he actually believes that, but I know better. I don't believe it's a personality he gives himself or that he doesn't have the guts to do it. I believe that, despite his rough, rude and jerkish attitude, he has a kind heart.

"Chicken."

The criminal took a switchable blade out of his pocket and opened it. Finally, Andrew looked scared a bit. I stood up.

"John." I said softly going up to him and taking his free hand. "Don't."

He looked at me and squeezed my hand. John took the blade and plant it on a chair and because of that move, Andrew decided to make another comment. "Let's end this right now. You don't talk to them."

I absently noticed that the girl took the switchable blade and I was vaguely amused.

"I'm trying to help the princess...And Gabby here thinks she can save me..." John shrugged with one hand in his pocket.

I blushed and went to back down, but John kept my hand firmly in his before leading me back to our seats. Brian brought me my notebook and I smiled in thanks.

"What do you write in this thing anyway?" asked me John curiously

I could feel every eyes on me at that. I blushed and opened my notebook.

"Anything that goes through my mind. Be it something I could use for a story, a thing on my to-do list, a thought about somebody, a thought about humanity… I just like to write. Especially in my notebook."

"Why?"

I sighed and smiled softly.

"Because it doesn't have to make sense. It can be whatever I want it to be. And if I want to write nonsense, if I want to write upside-down, if I want to tear pages, if I want to draw, anything… nobody can say anything or stop me." I finished looking down at my notebook, writing again.

I felt John's feet get closer to mine and I blushed while he simply smirked

Not long after, Carl, the janitor, came in.

"Brian, Gabby how are you doing?" he asked.

The nerd looked kind of embarrassed while I smiled back at him.

"Your dad works here?" John asked.

I elbowed him, glared in warning and got up.

"Hey, Carl, how is Leo?" I asked him after a hug.

"Not great, he got a D on his French test. I had to take away his toys for the week" frowned the janitor.

I groaned.

"How is it even possible? He knew everything perfectly when I questioned him!"

"He claims he didn't remember anything in front of his paper."

I frowned. "Well, he has a history exams Tuesday, that means I'll have to work on his stress level."

"Thank you, Gabby." He said, smiling at me, relieved. I smiled back

"Hey, Carl... Can I ask you a question?" suddenly said John. I sent him a warning look, but he ignored me.

"Sure."

"How does one become a janitor?"

"You want to be a janitor?"

"No, I just want to know how one become a janitor, because Andrew here is very interested in pursuing a career in the custodial arts."

Andy looked embarrassed and I gave a soft glare at John who winked at me, making me blush. Carl was staring at me in amusement.

"Well, some guy had to catch your attention some time!" He whispered to me. I slapped his arm softly and he chuckled before answering to John "You guys think I'm some untouchable peasant, serf, peon, uh? Maybe so, but following a broom around after shitheads like you for the past eight years I've learned a couple of things... I look through your letters, I look through your lockers, I listen to your conversations, you don't know that, but I do... I am the eyes and ears of this institution my friends." he told us, and we all looked shocked about everything he just said. "By the way, that clock is twenty minutes fast!" he finished before leaving.

Bender and I smiled at that, but everybody else groaned.

I went back to my sit and smiled at my neighbor.

John started whistling and soon, everybody joined him but, once Vernon entered, everybody stopped, except Bender who started whistling Beethoven's 5th. I snorted at that and Vernon turned his gaze towards me, and I saw his eyes widen.

"What is that?" he barks

I looked down. He was pointing towards my notebook.

"Just… just a notebook sir. It's nothing."

"Give it to me." He told me, stretching his hand.

I felt the air leave my lungs. No. I can't. Non. Non. Non. I felt the blood leave my face, my hands shake and my arm itching.

"Please sir, don't."

"NOW." He yelled suddenly and I flinched away.

In. Out. No. He can't.

"You give it now or I swear you will come back every Saturday until the end of your high school career."

I couldn't think straight.

"Leave her alone dick." I heard someone say

The desk. Touch the desk. In. Out. My arm itches.

"This doesn't concern you Bender so shut it."

"Sir, she needs this. Please, let her keep it!" I heard another voice argue.

"Shut it pee-wee. Give me that notebook!"

In. Out. Can't let him take it.

"Sir give me a detention if you want, but she will keep it. It's a medical device for her and if you don't agree, I am sure that her parents will be more than happy to tell it to you."

Silence. Silence. My arm itches.

"Ok. Deal with her, Clark. I'll be back in 5"

My arm. In. Out.

"Ok Gabby, in and out. You're doing good. You are safe ok? In and out."

In. Out.

"Now tell me 5 things you hear."

"What?" I breathe

"Tell me 5 things you hear."

"Vernon… My breathing… John's shoe… Brian's pacing… a chair…"

"That's good. Very good, you're doing good. Now 4 things you see."

"You… My arms… John… The desk…"

"Everything's going to be fine. 3 things you can touch"

"The desk… John's jacket… My notebook."

In. Out. Calm. I'm in the library

"Almost there, Blondie. You're gonna be fine. 2 things you can smell."

"Books… Cleaning stuff."

He chuckled.

"I'll allow it. Now, one thing you can taste."

I winced

"Blood."

"Yeah, you bit your lip pretty hard, it's nothing. Now stop scratching you weirdo!"

I chuckled softly at that and raised my head. I smiled weakly at him.

"Thank you again, Andrew."

He smiled back.

"I thought I told you to call me Andy and it's no big deal sweetie." He said as he ruffled my hair and I let out a shaky laugh.

I was still scratching but I didn't put any strength in it, I did it mechanically. I felt a hand on top of my own take it softly and put it away from my arm. It was so gentle. I looked at John in shock, but he gave me a concerned look in return. Wait, John?

That's when I realized… I had a panic attack in front of everyone? Including Dick? Oh no. No no no no no nononononononnonononono.

"Hey, hey, I'm here everything is fine." Whispered Bender in my ear

I wanted to get away from him. He must see me as such a freak. I closed my eyes and kept on breathing slowly, I felt John's arm go around my shoulder and I leaned on him. I will be fine. I will be.

After a moment, Vernon came back in the room just after I got out of John's arm.

"All right, girls, that's thirty minutes for lunch."

"Here?" Andrew asked.

"Here." Vernon repeated.

"Well, I think the cafeteria would be a more suitable place for us to eat lunch, sir." Sporto argued.

"Well, I don't care what you think, Andrew!"

"Uh, Dick? Excuse me, Rich, will milk be available to us?" asked the criminal.

"We're extremely thirsty, sir." Andrew added.

"I have a very low tolerance for dehydration." princess lied.

"I've seen her dehydrate sir." the athlete added. "It's pretty gross."

"Relax, Gabby and I will get it!" Bender said standing up.

"Ah, ah, ah, grab some wood there, bub." the vice principal said, making both of us sit down. "What, do you think I was born yesterday? You think I'm going to have you two roaming these halls?" he added to which we shrugged. "Plus, I don't think it would be wise after Miss Dubois' 'display'." He added with a quote gesture

I watched as the three boys tensed and glared at the same time at our vice-principal. I just shrunk back, and John put a hand on my knee, keeping me grounded.

Finally, Vernon designated Andrew and Allison to go search for soft drinks and he left.

The four of us that stayed in the library moved to the back. Brian asked me quietly if I was ok and I smiled reassuringly at him. He hugged me quickly and went to seat on the stairs while I sat next to Bender, reading through my notebook while he was looking at some book, he had his arms around my waist with a firm grip like he was afraid to let go.

"Girls, want to see a picture of a guy with elephantiasis of the nuts?" to that comment, I looked at the book and saw the picture he was talking about.

"It's pretty tasty..." I said sarcastically.

"No, thank you." Claire responded.

"How do you think he rides a back?" questioned John.

"He drags his balls on the ground and try not to roll on them" I answered absentmindedly still reading my notebook, which earned me a laugh from the eye-candy.

"Would you consider dating a guy like this?"

"Can't you just leave us alone?" Claire asked

"I mean if he had a great personality, was a good dancer and had a cool car? Although you'd probably have to ride in the backseat because his nuts would ride shotgun."

I laughed but didn't respond.

"You know what I wish I was doing?" Claire asked.

"Watch what you say, Brian here is a cherry." Bender said.

"What do you wish you were doing, Claire?" I asked, going next to her.

"I wish I was in a plane to France." she replied.

"I wish I was too. I miss France sometimes but we're a bunch of pigheaded and unhappy people. I love my country and I'm proud to be French, but people were getting on my last nerves" I laughed.

"Does that mean you're pigheaded and unhappy?" she asked with a teasing smile

"Guilty of the first, working on the second." I answered with a sigh.

Before she could respond, Bender exclaimed loudly "Oh! You and Gabrielle did it!"

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Nothing, nothing... Let's just drop it, okay? We'll talk about it later." said Brian.

"No, drop what?" I asked again at the same time Claire asked "What are you talking about?"

"Well, Brian's trying to tell me that in addition to the number of girls in the Niagara Falls area; that presently Gabby and he are ridding the hobby horse." John informed.

"Little pig!" Claire exclaimed.

"If I know Brian a little, and I know him pretty well, I know he wouldn't mention me in that way" I defended my friend

"No, no! John said I was a cherry... and I said I wasn't. That's all I said!" Brian protested.

"Then what were you motioning to Gabrielle for?" questioned the criminal.

"He's lying!" the brain insisted.

"You know I don't appreciate this very much, Brian." Claire said.

"You know he is lying right?" he asked us.

"Stop talking Bri, I know you wouldn't" I tell him kindly.

John looked betrayed but got his poker face back on in a second.

"So, you did sleep together."

I snorted.

"As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure my virginity is still intact, thank you very much. I was just stating that I'm reading, and I would like silence." I said still smiling.

He stayed silent, staring at me for a moment trying to determine if I was lying or not.

"Were you or were you not motioning to them?" John pressed to Brian suddenly.

I sighed, the quiet didn't last very long.

"Yeah, but it was only because I didn't want them to know I was a virgin... Excuse me for being a virgin, I'm sorry." Brian finally confessed.

"Why didn't you want us to know you were a virgin?" Claire asked, amused by the situation. I frowned, and say I found this bitch "not so bad" a few minutes ago.

"Because it's personal business! It's my personal private business!" he explained.

"Well, Brian it doesn't sound like you were doing any business." John said.

"So?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "What does it change to either of our lives?"

John looked at me, surprised by my comment.

"I think it's okay for a guy to be a virgin..." Claire said.

"You do?" questioned Brian.

"Well, you know my ideas on the subject!" I joked.

To my comment, Brian smiled to himself and put his face in his knees before Claire turned to me.

"From the answers you gave to John earlier, I thought you weren't a virgin…"

I laughed at the memory.

"I got drunk at a party with my friend back in France. We began to make out. It wasn't the best make out session in my life, far from it, but I believe that I can't ask for anything more for my first time than trust for my partner. And I do trust him. I soon lost my top and bra and he only kept his boxers on. We would have gone all the way if not for another completely drunk friend coming in and sitting in a corner of the room. He thought it was the living room. Never been more embarrassed in my life"

They began to laugh with me, and I smiled softly. I missed some of my friends back in France but moving has done a lot of good for me.

"I don't get it." Claire said suddenly. "Why are you so comfortable with talking about all this? Aren't you afraid to be treated like a…?" she cut herself off

I rolled my eyes and shrugged

"Even if I hate my body, I consider that if boys can openly talk about their sex life, so can I."

Brian looked kind of ill, and I smirked at him. I know he saw me as a sister so hearing about me having a sex life must be very disturbing for him.

I turned to look at John. He was staring at me, intrigued. I blushed and smiled, he smirked back and came back to sit beside me.

Bien sûr, j'ai vraiment perdu mon accent à ce point-là?: Of course, did I really lose my accent that much?
