So I was going to do homework, but nooo Lunalight just had to drop 6 amazing story ideas?! Like I couldn't just not begin to write them. So here have one of their ideas with an added NejixSakura that I accidentally added.

When Tsunade first fell into a coma after Pain's attack Sakura began to plan on how to rebuild the village. She ignored everything else but the village, the economy, and their people. Her time was spent between the hospital and the "Hokage office". She didn't sleep a wink the first two weeks living off of coffee and determination before she admitted to herself that she need help. If they dare touch her coffee, she will have to skin them alive and leave the body for their clan to find.
After that admission to herself, she was quick to drag both Neji and Shikamaru into it. Other than those two Sakura only saw people when she had a task for them. Naruto had only been by once to yell at her for her heartlessness since she hadn't been by Tsunade's side. Did he think that was all she was good for? To cry while waiting for a hero? Sakura could have sworn that Kakashi had been by a couple of times, but that might just have been due to lack of sleep and too much coffee.
After a month Sakura took note that people automatically reported everything to her and meetings didn't begin before she arrived. Shikamaru was more in the office helping her while Neji spent more time in the village researching what truly need their attention first instead of pleasing the old snots.
Politic had taken a step back together with pleasing clan leaders. Sakura had honest to kami no shits to give for their prettiness. That energy was better spent looking over paperwork and looking at Neji. Seriously no man had a right to be so beautiful it was too distracting. Luckily, that had been fixed within a couple of days since Sakura took charge. She personally found it a bit odd that a new Hokage hadn't been found yet but kept her opinion to herself.
After 2 months Sakura knew that a Kage-meeting would take place soon and they needed to find a representative for Konoha. When she had brought this up at their weekly meeting just seemed to be assuming that Sakura would be going.
This led to a silently confused woman beginning to prepare for the upcoming meeting. The problem was figuring out who should join her. Neji and Shikamaru would take care of the village while she was gone.
Kakashi would be ideal if they didn't have such a bad relationship, Sai could have worked too if he wasn't a total disaster regarding social skills, oh and he was Danzo's personal lapdog. Yamato had ended up being the first guard she decided on.
The other person was Gai. She didn't need a genjutsu master since Sakura was immune to almost all of them.
When she had asked the Shikamaru and Neji they insisted that she took at least an ANBU team as well. They ended up compromising, and Sakura would reluctantly bring Kakashi as well. She knew that if she went back on her word their threat of being buried in paperwork would come true. She just made Kakashi go as ANBU so he couldn't talk with her.
It felt odd to be the person leaving people behind. A surprisingly big among of people stood by the gate sending her off and Sakura fell in love with her village all over again. Was this what it felt like to have some care?
When she had arrived at the meeting in Iron Sakura happily greeted Gaara in front of the other leaders. He went stiff in her arms for a second before hugging her back. Might as well show that Konoha and Suna stood together. She chose to ignore the fact that the other leaders had brought at least twice as many shinobis as she had.
That didn't mean the others would. Because nothing ever just went her way, must be the cures of team 7.
"I'm less than inclined to listen to a girl who can't even rally her shinobis to guard her." The bear of a man that was the Raikage said loudly. Arm crossed in front of his chest everything about him seemed to scream unapproachable.
"Ah, Raikage I thank you for your worry over my protection, but you seem to assume I would need more shinobis to keep me safe," Sakura said in an overly cheerful voice that she hadn't used since her fangirl time. A smile followed alone with her voice.
"A person who can use the first Hokage's wood style jutsu, the Copycat, and a master of taijutsu you don't think that is enough Raikage?" She lightly placed her hand in front of her mouth in a show of scandal and secretly. As if she thought that was something wrong with her choice.
"It can't be help if the other nations don't have so many talented people as Konoha have or as trusted allies. I'm sure we can offer you some advice if you need it." Sakura continued without giving him a chance to speak. Instead, she had continued in the same cheerful tone as the beginning. Her eyes never leaving the Raikage, but Sakura heard Gaara snot beside her. He was officially her third favorite man alive.
"Now onto more important matters," Sakura said smiling towards the others as she took her seat when it was clear the Raikage wasn't going to reply and chose to grind his teeth instead.
The rest of the meeting was interesting, to say the least. Sakura ended up spending a lot of time with the Mistkage. They even got talking about trade between their nations. The finished agreement would have to wait until both had returned and have a contract that both agreed to sign.
Kakashi and Sakura got an awkward talk about their relationship. So, now they had a... not a bad relationship?
Another thing she took note of was everyone had called her Hokage-sama and it left Sakura with mixed feelings. On one hand, Sakura had worked hard, had swallowed the bitter pill of accepting that Sasuke was not going to come back, she had worked under a Hokage and most important Sakura had stayed. On the other hand, Sakura knew this was Naruto's dream and she felt like it was stabbing him in the back.
Root attempted to kill her just after leaving the meeting, so there was that. They killed all but one within seconds before anyone could help. The last one Sakura smashed a seal on that send him to the very pit of T&I. There, now it wasn't her fucking problem until she returned.
Of course, upon her return, Sakura was officially named the Rokudaime Hokage. Naruto had uninitialized been the bringer of that news. When he showed up in tears and anger.
Turned out there was a vote by the clan leaders and even the daimyo had given his approval of her while she was gone. Huh, now all she need was to get the hat in public. Later that night Neji brought her flowers and kissed the backside of her hand. It had left her face hot for the rest of the night.
After having been the official Hokage for 6 months Sakura finally had a village that was ready for change. The first big change for shinobis could happen. It had been teaching the basic medical ninjutsu in the academy and ensure that each team had at least one medic training to be either be "a normal medic" or a felt medic.
Many disagreed with this, but Sakura had just overruled them all. Fuck them, kids weren't going to die on her watch if she could help it. The civilian party had been eager to support her after she had given them the power to play on even ground with the shinobi party. When they were out celebrating its success, Sakura spent half the night kissing Neji in a corner after Shikamaru had spent the first half egging her on.
The other big thing that caused a lot of noise was raising the age at which the kids became Genin. It would have to be done slowly, with 1 year every 5-10 years so they didn't run out of Genin. It was slower than Sakura would have liked, but maybe in the future, she could lessen the years in-between until it would reach 16.
After having been seen with Neji on a date in public, the Hyuga clan leader had asked her over for tea. Officially it turned out to be more for shovel talk from the head and his daughters than anything. Unofficially they also discussed the removal of the curse seal. On Neji's birthday, his uncle informed him of the seal's possible removal.
Trade with Mist had been a good deal for both. All type of jewelry and silk that had never been to fire was beginning to show up. They had also agreed to an exchange of some knowledge. They send civilian blacksmith and Sakura send civilian medics.
That particular agreement had also worked out well with Suna. Only, they send poison expert shinobi, and in return, Sakura had sent medical shinobis.
By the time Tsunade woke up again a year had passed since the beginning of her coma and Konoha was well on its way to its former glory. When the blond was informed of the change Sakura stood nervous to the side fearing her judgment. Instead, she got a proud smile, her hair ruffled and her teacher's support.
Neji had by this time already gotten the shovel talk from most of her shinobis and civilians alike, but it seemed nothing could prepare him for the Tsunade. By the time he returned home it was night and Neji's face had lost all color.
Sakura woke up the next day and realized that she was truly happy.
