This chapter will reveal more of the Titan/ kaiju roster for this story. I made sure to get as many fan favorites as I could. It's not the full roster, but it's a good chunk of it
A short while later, the Atlas transport carrying Ozpin and Mosura was en route to Vale.
"So," Mosura asked as she sat across from Ozpin, "Who are these two teams we are going to find."
Ozpin pulled up two holographic files featuring the two different teams as he explained "The first one is called Team RWBY. They're first year students but they've already proven to be capable of handle sticky situations, one of them even has silver eyes."
Mosura raised an eyebrow "Is that so?"
Ozpin nodded "I've been keeping a close eye on her and her team. She may not know how to control her power, but she's still a strong fighter. The other team is called JNPR, and while they are also first years, they too are capable of holding their own. One of them, Pyrrha Nikos, is one of Remnant's best fighters."
Mosura stroked her chin in interest "I see."
"Now, if I may ask" Ozpin continued, "I've noticed your leather armor; it seems to me you haven't quite achieved your full strength, correct?"
Mosura nodded "my physical body remains in its cocoon as I gain my strength. It may take some time, but once it's finished, I will assume my true form."
Ozpin nodded, "Now, who are the other guardian Titans that remain in hibernation?"
"Aside from Gigan, Ironwood and the Ace Ops will find Behemoth around Atlas. Anguirus and Methuselah are in Vacuo. Manda and Titanosaurus control the seas, and Rodan sleeps in the mountains near Mistral."
"And the third guardian in Menagerie?"
"His name is Baragon. Most people on the island called him the Fire Lord, and for good reason. He may not seem like much, but he's got it where is counts."
"Interesting" Ozpin commented.
Soon, the transport arrived in Vale, and Ozpin led Mosura to Beacon Academy. As they walked through the streets, Mosura looked around in wonder at the people as they passed.
"What are you looking at?" Ozpin asked.
"The people" Mosura replied, "They look so…peaceful. Nothing like the ones I used to know."
"What do you mean?"
"Before we went into hibernation, the people constantly lived in fear of the enemy and his followers. Now, it's like they don't have a care in the world."
"Well, many of them have forgotten you even existed. Plus, we also have the Huntsmen and the Atlas Military protecting us."
Mosura scoffed at the mention of the military "Right, a military were they enslave people."
Ozpin sighed "I know Ironwood can be one to cause headaches, but you must understand that he is only doing what he believes to be the right thing, though he can obviously make certain choices despite a lack of context."
"No kidding" Mosura sarcastically remarked.
"Don't worry" Ozpin reassured, "I'll be sure to speak with him on the subject as soon as I can, trust me."
"I trust you, alright" Mosura replied, "It's Ironwood I'm worried about."
Ozpin nodded "I understand. Ah, here we are."
Sure enough, they had arrived at Beacon Academy. Mosura looked around at the many students while Ozpin explained "Here we train some of the finest warriors to become Huntsmen. They've been the ones protecting the kingdoms while you Titans were lying dormant."
"Understandable." Mosura replied.
"Why don't you wait here in the courtyard." Ozpin offered, "I'll go find our teams."
Mosura nodded, and Ozpin walked off toward the building. Mosura walked over to a nearby tree and sat in its shade while she waited. As she sat, she hummed a song to herself and ran her hands over the grass, using her magic and causing a few flowers to grow and bloom. An almost calming breeze blew through the courtyard.
"Well, well, well…" said a voice, and Mosura looked up to see Battra casually walk up. She immediately stood up and whipped out a hidden blade in her sleeve.
"What are YOU doing here?" she spat.
Battra chuckled "Oh, just came by to see an old friend, do some dirty work for my boss, you know, the usual. Oh, and get this, he's already found a suitable candidate to…help him in his grad reentrance."
"Yeah, well, he's not getting him." Mosura shot back, "We'll make sure of it."
Battra burst out laughing, "Sure you will. Sure you will."
Just then, something caught their attention, and they both looked to see Ozpin returning with a group of eight different students.
"Ah, there she is" Battra said. Mosura noticed he was looking at Yang and immediately thrust her blade right in front of Battra's throat, her eyes glowing electric blue again.
"Don't even think about it" she hissed, "Leave before I make you regret coming here."
Battra glared back, his own eyes flaring red, but after a few tense moments, and with Ozpin, RWBY, and JNPR watching in stunned silence, Battra surprisingly calmed down and back away, chuckling "Fine, suit yourself. Just keep in mind that we're not quite done here."
Then, he raised his hand and vanished in a flash of lightning. Once she was sure he was gone, Mosura calmed down and retracted the blade, then turned to face Ozpin and the team.
"Uhhhh, what just happened?" Nora asked.
"That's a question I too would like answered." Ozpin added.
Mosura's face looked grim, "It looks like some of the enemy's followers are already starting to break out. The one you just saw me with is one of them. I suggest we move out now and head for Menagerie as fast as possible."
A girl with white hair, Weiss, stepped forward "Hang on. You haven't even told us where we're going!"
"I'll explain everything on the way" Ozpin reassured, "But right now, we need to listen to her advice and return to our transport."
Mosura nodded as she and Ozpin led the two teams, who followed, though they were unsure of what was going on.
Suddenly Ozpin heard Mosura's voice in his head There's something else. The blonde one; who is she?
Ozpin assumed Mosura wanted this to be kept secret from the students, so he too replied through his thoughts, Yang Xiao Long. She's one of my students.
What's her Semblance?
She basically gets stronger the more hits she takes.
Mosura's pursed her lips That explains it.
Explains what? Ozpin asked.
I think she has just been targeted by the enemy. We must keep her safe at ALL costs.
Ozpin grew worried Understood.
Mosura now decided to speak out loud again "We should let Atlas know to keep their military at the ready. If our enemies are returning, then they could attack at any time."
"I'll call James once we get on the ship." Ozpin replied.
"What could be so great a problem that you would need both Huntsmen AND the Atlesian military?" Ren asked, "Are these enemies Grimm?"
Mosura shook her head: "No, this is different. MUCH different."
A little while later, the two teams were on the transport and flying out to Menagerie.
"Alright" Weiss said, "We're here now. Now can you please start explaining what's going on."
Mosura nodded and was about to when Ozpin's scroll went off. Ozpin pulled it out and turned it on to reveal the Ace Ops' icons.
"What is it?" Ozpin asked.
Marrow's voice was the first to reply, "Yeah, so, um…I think we found one."
Mosura walked over "What's it look like?"
Elm responded next "It's like some sort of giant elephant mixed with a monkey."
Mosura broke out into a grin "Relax, you guys. He's one of us."
Harriet replied, "I sure hope so."
As for the Ace Ops themselves, they were standing at the edge of an icy canyon, looking to the floor below. It was a massive gap between the canyon walls with a vast, blue, ice sheet as a floor, transparent enough for the team to see the slumbering Titan underneath, just as Elm described it.
The slumbering form of Behemoth.
…
Meanwhile, Battra teleported down, appearing in another part of the landscape around Atlas, already having received his next instruction from his still imprisoned leader. Appearing next to an icy cliff face, he promptly used a bit of his magic, burning through the ice and creating a tunnel leading inside. He then walked through it, continually burning the ice as he went, until he finally reached a massive, hollow chamber inside. Looking at the floor, he grinned to see a giant pair of angular spikes sticking out from the ground.
"It's been a long time old friend" he chuckled, "but I think you've been locked up long enough."
