I own nothing you may recognize
Two Weeks Later, The Trident
"King Aegon, I presume?" A man with dark hair said after being permitted to enter the tent where Aegon, Visenya, Rhaenys, Orys, Jaehaerys, and a man with a fish on his shirt stood around a table looking at how they might be able to defeat the Northern army on the other side of the Trident who now outnumbered them five to one.
"I am, and you are?" Aegon asked looking at the man critically.
"I am Brandon Snow, the brother of King Torrhen Stark, and I have been sent by my brother to seek an audience with your grace," The man said respectfully.
"Is that so, is it in hopes he can assassinate King Aegon in front of a crowd?" Orys asked coldly.
"Do you think us fools, we have received word of the utter destruction at the Fields of Fire, my brother seeks an audience, where he will be guaranteed safety to say his piece," Brandon said slightly angrily.
"My King, I think it would be wise to accept, if possible," The man with a fish on his shirt said respectfully.
"I don't, I feel it would be a fool's decision," Orys said coldly.
"Orys, I doubt King Torrhen would have sent his brother if he had plans to kill my brother, Sir Snow, return to your King and tell him we meet him at the edge of the Trident at the next hour, if he does not arrive, we will assume he wishes us to attack," Visenya said simply.
"Of course, my lady," Brandon said respectfully.
"That is your queen, bastard," Orys said coldly, moving to hit Brandon.
"Enough brother, he could have not known, Sir Snow, do as my sister decried, Edmyn have your men prepare a place for King Torrhen to meet with us," Aegon said as he grabbed Orys hand to keep him from hitting Brandon.
"My King, if I could also suggest that King Torrhen can only bring five advisors with him and that when we meet with him only the six who are here be present," Jaehaerys said respectfully.
"I feel that would be a good means to make him feel more secure, brother," Rhaenys said kindly.
"Very well, Sir Snow, you heard my queen, tell your brother he can only bring five advisors, but we shall only have six in our number in close proximity to the place," Aegon said simply.
"I shall do as you direct, King Aegon," Brandon said before quickly leaving the tent, followed by Edmyn.
"What do you expect will happen?" Visenya asked looking at Jaehaerys.
"Either he will be bending the knee, offering a means to remain king without bloodshed, or wishing to declare the war, more formally," Jaehaerys said respectfully.
"Which do you think most likely, and which would you wish most for?" Rhaenys asked interested to see what her cousin, and occasional lover felt.
"I think it most likely that he will make an offer in hopes he can remain King in the North, which I know we will not accept, so I hope he bends the knee, else many lives will end before peace is achieved," Jaehaerys said sadly.
"That is simply because you are a scholar not a warrior, fucking coward," Orys said mockingly.
"I would be careful what you say, Bastard, while I do not care for needless bloodshed, I also grow tired of your endless taunts, I am still a Targaryen in name and blood, while you are only in part by blood, I could kill you before you could draw a sword," Jaehaerys said coldly.
"Please do not kill each other, we still need to bring the North and the Vale to kneel before we look into the Kingdom of Dorne," Aegon said glaring at both men.
"Of course, cousin, my apologize, I shall go and aide Edmyn with preparing for King Torrhen's arrival," Jaehaerys said quickly leaving the tent.
"Coward," Orys said mockingly, before Rhaenys and Visenya both struck him with their swords cutting deep gashes into each cheek.
"Be careful who you mock, Lord Baratheon, he is a leader and a trueborn Targaryen, you are at the end of the day nothing more than a Bastard, he is a dragon Rider, of a dragon from the fourth flame and named after our fourth most powerful God, the only reason why you even have a title is he was leading forces on the opposite side of the continent when the siege of Storm's End was taking place, else we would have likely had him lead that siege and fuck the little whore of Storm's End instead of letting you," Visenya said coldly.
"Indeed, he is a better man than you, and when those he cares for are in danger, he will kill whoever is threatening them," Rhaenys said just as coldly.
"My sisters said things as well as I could, he also understands that just using dragons is not the answer, since eventually it will lead to great hatred for the Dragons and our family, and so insurrections would be the name of our rule, which I do not want, go see a medic for the injuries on your face," Aegon said dismissing Orys who walked away angrily.
An Hour Later
"King Aegon, thank you for granting me an audience," An older man who appeared almost an entire generation older than the Targaryens, said once Aegon and his group came to the platform that had been set up for the meeting.
"King Torrhen, it is the least that can be done, but before we move forward, perhaps we should introduce our companies, for the sake of the other company," Aegon said looking at the five men standing beside the old man.
"Of course, to my right stands my brother Brandon Snow, my son Brandon Stark, and to my left stands Lord Belthasar Bolton of the Dreadfort and descendent of the Last of the Red Kings in the North, Lord Jojen Reed of Greywater Watch, and Descendant of the Last of the Marsh Kings of the Neck, and finally we have Lord Commander Howland Hoare of the Night's Watch," Torrhen said simply.
"Very interesting, I will ask more about your company shortly. On my right I have my elder sister and wife Queen Visenya, and my cousin and commander of my Eastern marching forces Lord Jaehaerys Targaryen of the Dragon's Teeth. At my left I have my younger sister and wife Queen Rhaenys, my brother Lord Orys Baratheon, Lord of Storms End, and then Lord Edmyn Tully, Lord of Riverrun," Aegon said respectfully.
"It is an honor to meet you all, now for the reason why I asked for this audience is thus, I King Torrhen Stark, do abdicate my place as King in the North and surrender the North to King Aegon of House Targaryen," Torrhen said as he pushed his sword, tip first into the platform before kneeling before Aegon, quickly followed by all but Howland Hoare.
"I accept your surrender King Torrhen, or as you shall henceforth be known Lord Torrhen Stark, Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North, raise!" Aegon said touching the older man's shoulder.
"Why did your Lord Commander not kneel?" Orys asked once the other five from the opposite side stood.
"I knelt not because I desire my brother's lands, but for the cause that the Wall and Night's Watch needs remain independent of any King, but I will make a vow that the Men of the Night's Watch will continue our charge given us by Brandon the Builder at the end of the Last Long Night," Howland said firmly.
"Cousin, could you please," Aegon said looking at Jaehaerys completely lost.
"According to myth, the Long Night was an event that nearly put the whole world into endless winter, until the combined forces of all lands joined together to push back the threat. As a means to keep the threat from the world, Brandon the Builder built a wall 300 miles long and 700 feet tall. To guard the Wall, he commissioned a force of men who would give up titles, lands, and family until they die, called the Night's watch," Jaehaerys said before looking to Howland for confirmation.
"Indeed, Lord Targaryen, we the Black Brothers have these vows, which is why I did not kneel," Howland said respectfully.
"Very well, Lord Commander, if your role is as important as you say, you may maintain your post, and we shall tell all of the honor of taking the Black to help bolster your numbers," Aegon said simply.
"It would be a boon to us, for generations in the North bastards and younger sons have joined our ranks as a form of honor, but if Houses in the south would do so as well it would only be for our benefit," Howland said simply.
"King Aegon, I had also planned to have my eldest daughter, Ayara, who is in her 18th year be given to you to wife, but seeing that you already have two wives, do you know of any who she could be wed to strengthen the new kingdom?" Torrhen asked kindly.
"Look Jaehaerys you don't need to be alone forever," Rhaenys said causing him to glare at her.
"I am still young dear cousin, I am only in my 24th year," Jaehaerys said simply.
"Dear Rhaenys does bring up a good point, Jaehaerys, you will wed Lord Stark's daughter," Aegon said with a smirk.
"Of course, my king, if that is acceptable to you Lord Stark," Jaehaerys said kindly.
"Of course, it would be an honor," Torrhen said slightly shocked at the decision.
"Good now that that is settled, we need to prepare to take out the final King, King Ronnell Arryn," Aegon said simply.
"We also need to crush Oldtown which was the capital with the Andals were all joined centuries ago," Visenya said reminding Aegon of that fact.
"Of course, dear sister," Aegon said simply.
"If I may my King, why not have our forces follow two of the Dragons to take the Vale, while your own force march with the other two dragons at their lead to take Oldtown," Brandon Stark said cautiously.
"That is a wise decision, especially since Sharra feels very secure in her castle in the Eyrie," Aegon said simply.
"Well, I will go with Jaehaerys and lead the forces of the North to take the Vale," Visenya said with a smile.
"What are you planning sister?" Aegon asked curiously, before Visenya leaned over to him.
"You remember how Sharra offered you her own hand in marriage, since she is only in her 27th year? I think we could have Jaehaerys marry her as well as the Stark girl, strengthen both ties," Visenya whispered to Aegon who nodded.
"Very well, Visenya you and Jaehaerys shall go to the Vale with the host of the North, while Rhaenys and I shall lead our other forces to Oldtown.
AN: I realize some people were hoping the North would remain an independent Kingdom, but due to events that will come during Harry's third year(In the overarching story), and later I needed the North to bend the knee and also have a good view of Aegon, and Jaehaerys, and a not as great view of Orys.
Just a friendly reminder that if you want to see how the over arching story(with all it's crossovers) is being written in the order of it, I have a list of that info on my profile.
Reviews are amazing, and I will be asking for some input in the next chapter or so.
