"You really miss him don't you?" Collie asks later as Alexis is looking out the window.

"Yes.. I just wish he would of let me show him how having a good human could change his way of thinking on people." Alexis says sadly as she sighs.

"Are you sure that's why you miss him and it's not that maybe you love him?" Collie asks as Alexis looks at her before looking down.

"I.. I... I'm not sure. I just know that I miss him." Alexis says.

"Well no matter. He can't possibly come back tonight. Let's try to get some sleep." Collie says as Alexis follows her over to beside the fire as the two lay down.

*Timeskip*

"White Fang? Is that you? White Fang have you come back?" Alexis asks as she wakes up hearing a noise before the door opens to reveal Beauty Smith as Alexis and Collie growl seeing him.

"That's not White Fang. That's that man Weedon Scott spoke of." Collie says as she jumps at the man only to get hit by the whip and fall to the ground.

"Collie!" Alexis shouts as she howls angrily and jumps at Beauty Smith and bites into his forearm only for him to grab her by the back of her neck and throw her at the wall as she yelps loudly and falls to the ground whining.

"You coward! Look what you've done to them!" Weedon Scott shouts as he runs over to Alexis and Collie.

"I told you I'd get even with you. So here I am. I came here to teach you a lesson. No one gets the better of Beauty Smith. No one! So here comes lesson number one!" Beauty Smith as Alexis manages to stand up before struggling to stand between him and the others.

"Alexis no!" Weedon Scott shouts as Alexis growls and doesn't move.

"If that mutt wants to see my fury first then fine by me!" Beauty Smith says as he prepares to strike Alexis before White Fang bursts through a window and pins him to the ground growling.

"White Fang!" Alexis says in surprise.

"Ah! Get him off!" Beauty Smith shouts in fear.

"White Fang no! Down! Please down!" Weedon Scott shouts as he tries to get White Fang off Beauty Smith.

"White Fang stop! Please." Collie shouts.

"You have to let him go White Fang! Please!" Alexis shouts fearfully.

"Why!? He hurt you. He hurt both of you." White Fang says as he looks at Alexis.

"And he hurt you but white fang only a human would kill for revenge and we are not them. If you won't do it for Collie or for our human or even yourself please just do it for me. Killing for revenge isn't worth it." Alexis says as White Fang growls angrily at Beauty Smith before getting off him as Weedon Scott ties up Beauty Smith.

*Timeskip*

"White Fang a real friend and a true wolf. You're gonna be alright girls. Stay with them so I can take this coward into town." Weedon Scott says as he leaves with Beauty Smith.

"What made you decide to come back?" Alexis asks as White Fang lays beside Alexis as Collie lays beside the fire.

"Well because I realized in the forest how lonely my life really is." White Fang says.

"That's your only reason?" Alexis asks as she looks at White Fang curiously.

"No. Not the only reason. I like you human's cooking." White Fang as he smiles.

"My human's cooking?" Alexis asks as she chuckles slightly.

"Among other things." White Fang says as he licks Alexis's paw before she smiles and nuzzles up to him as she falls asleep beside him.

*Timeskip*

"Come on mom, dad. Show us how to howl." Rose shouts as she is howling with her brothers Blade and Blaze and her sister Estelle while sitting with White Fang and Alexis in the woods.

"Yeah. Show us!" Blade shouts.

"Alright. Alright. Gather around young ones." Alexis says as she sits next to White Fang happily.

"Pay attention now. What you do is you take this really deep breath in. Like this. See? Then." White Fang says as he blows air at the pups knocking them back.

"Way to go pop!" Blaze shouts.

"Yeah!" Estelle shouts happily.
