Halloween House of Horror

~Chapter 4~

Night 1: Yakko and cast.

No P.O.V

As Yakko sat on the couch with Dot, the phone started ringing. Yakko got up and immediately knew who was on the other end. "Hello Yakko." Yakko gripped the landline tighter. "I knew you were the one behind this! Where's Wakko, and what the duck is going on!?" He could hear south flinch on the other end. "There's no need to blow my ears out, Warner. I'm a fox, you know. We have excellent hearing." Yakko sighed in irritation. "I don't care if you could hear me from china, just tell me what's going on! What are these things, and why is no one back in the office yet?" Yakko shouted. South just chuckled before answering him.

"Your friends are stuck in the attic until 6am with a certain pirate squirrel. And as for those 'Things', they're my special killing machines. It's really a hobby to build them now, but it started as-" "I don't care how or why you made them, South!" Yakko interrupted. "How do I get them to go away?" South huffed in irritation. "I wouldn't take that tone with me, Warner. In fact, I was debating just letting you figure it out yourself. Now I guess you will. Serves you right for not being as kind as Wak-"

"Don't you dare say his name!" Yakko interrupted her once again. "…And why not, Warner? Have you forgotten that I could kill him right now, and you wouldn't be able to save him?" Yakko stayed silent. "Good. Now I'll give you one more chance to let me explain. If you have anything else to say, say it now." Yakko stayed silent for a moment before speaking up.

"You really are a fox. Playing with your prey like this. An evil, rotten and nasty creature. You're a disgrace to Toons everywhere." South stayed silent for a moment. "Okay, I'll tell you how to stop them." (After she explained because u SHOULD already know how they work. If u haven't been paying attention, I'll summarize.)

Wakko-matronic: He's blind, so just don't move and hold your breath. You might wanna practice controlling your fear, as he's extremely sensitive and can feel your heartbeat through vibrations on the floor.

Yakko-matronic: He's deaf, so stay out of sight if you like life. Although being less sensitive to vibrations, he can still feel you move, so be careful with how close you cut it to death.

South ended the phone-call on a humorous note. "Make sure neither of them see you, or your free subscription to life will expire. Bye!" "Wai-"*Click* Yakko sighed. This is the second time that Wakko had gone missing at the hands of South, and who knows what hell he's going through. (Well I mean, we know but we're just readers, and as a writer I'm not gonna shove myself into the story.)

Yakko heard footsteps, and he realized Wakko-matronic was walking to his office. He stood as still as he could and tried to regulate his heartbeat by thinking of good things. He thought of Wakko and Dot. He thought of their smiling faces, but Wakko's especially. It had been so long since Wakko had given anyone a genuine smile. It seemed like he always had something on his mind. Or perhaps, someplace

He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard something in the vents. He checked the camera, but it wasn't Yakko-matronic. At least, not the version he knew. It looked shadowy, almost like a silhouette. Just then, the landline phone rang. When he picked it up, he didn't hear South's voice. Instead, he heard gargled static. There were words hidden in it, though. All he could make out was "Save him" and "You two aren't safe" Yakko looked back at the camera and saw the shadow thing, except no matter what camera he went into, it was staring right into the lens. No, it wasn't staring into the lens from the location… It was staring at him through the monitor.

A loud buzzing like a broken horn could be heard behind him. He turned around to find that… thing in the office. It was just staring at him, just repeating what he'd heard in the static. "SaVe HiM. YoU tWo arEn'T sAfE…" It got closer, and closer, and closer until it was just a couple inches from his face. Yakko tried to move, to blink, to do anything to break eye contact with the thing, but he was frozen. It suddenly backed up and changed shape. Its shadowy body transformed into Wakko, but he was covered in blood and wounds. It seemed like he had been shot 20 times. The thing spoke. "SaVe HiM, bEfOrE hE mEeTs An UnTiMeLy DeMiSe." That's when it all went black.
