Chandler's got everything going at this point in his life. He got promoted in his job and the pay is great even if it isn't really the kind of job that he dreams about. He's got the perfect girlfriend and a son or a daughter on the way. He couldn't ask for anything more.

It is true what he said to her in Las Vegas. He has never loved anyone as much as he loves her. He does things to her willingly and not out of obligation or duty. He just doesn't want this feeling to end. Until…

Chandler, there's a phonecall for you on Line 2.

Chandler picks up the phone…Chandler Bing.

Hello, Mr. Bing. This is Mona from Alessandro's. I just want to inform you that Monica's in the hospital down town. She…

Chandler never bothered to let Mona finish her sentence. He puts down the phone and heads out of the office telling Jane….

Jane, I gotta go. I have to go to the hospital, okay. Tell Doug. Thanks.

Chandler walks back and forth in front of his office's building waiting for a cab. He couldn't stay still. He was trying his best to calm down - putting his hands inside his pockets, biting his nails and running his hand through his hair. He couldn't describe what he is feeling at that moment. It's as if his heart fell down his stomach. He has never felt so worried in his life than now.

Chandler reached the hospital in less than half an hour although it felt to him like hours.

Hey, nurse. Is there a Monica Geller admitted today?

I am sorry? And you are her husband?

Yes, yes. I am her husband.

She's at Room 209. It is down the hall to the right.

Got it. Thanks!

Chandler was about to enter the room when the door opened and out came the doctor and a nurse.

Chandler! There you are!

Dr. Connely!… So, how is she? And, and, how's the baby?

Well, Monica and the baby are safe.

Monica needs rest so maybe you can tell her not to take night shifts anymore so she can get as much sleep as she and the baby need. For now, I am recommending her to rest for two straight weeks, minimal actviities, Chandler and ….

What, doctor?

No sex until after two weeks, okay?

Oh, okay. Thank you, Dr. Connely. Chandler nodding his head. He can finally breathe properly of relief knowing that Monica and their baby are safe.

Monica is asleep when he entered the room. She looked pale but still the most beautiful woman in his eyes. He stood by her bedside and noticed the name tag on her arm that says MONICA GELLER. Chandler felt like something wasn't right. Chandler took out a pen from his jacket and added HYPHEN BING on Monica's tag. Now this feels right.

Chandler called their friends and told them where they are. He requested Rachel to bring some clothes for Monica. He thought of asking Joey the same favor but was reminded that his stuff are already in boxes ready to be transferred to Apartment 20.

He left the room for a while but not until he gave instruction to the nurse to give him a call right away once Monica is awake. He thought he could use the time to buy some clothes for himself, food and personal stuff for the two of them.

While walking back to the hospital, something caught Chandler's eye. He wanted to get inside the store but was interrupted by a text message from the hospital telling him that Monica is already awake.

When he opens, the door, Monica is already looking at him, her eyes as if apologizing. He is just amazed how with just that one look, his world changes.

What's all that stuff?

Oh, I bought you your favorite soup. I've got noodles, sandwiches, fruits. The soup is still hot so you can start with that. Let me just put all of these stuff down. Chandler digs into the bags and took out a disposable spoon and a bottle of water.

But I'm not hungry.

Oh, but you gotta eat honey. Chandler adjusts the height of the bedside table and places it in front of Monica. He puts down the bowl of soup and the bottled water. He stirs the soup, took a spoonful and offers it to Monica.

I'll do it. Monica asking Chandler to give her the spoon.

No. I want to do this, honey. Will you let me take care of you for a change? Chandler pleading.

Monica smiles and puts both her hands on her mouth then tells Chandler - You're so cute! Before they reached in for a kiss.

What about you? I think you should eat, too.

I can eat until after you finish this soup.

Oh, no. I think we should eat at the same time.

Alright.

Their friends arrived shortly bringing with them the stuff that Chandler requested. After about two hours, their friends bid them goodbye and promised to return the following day.

Monica was surprised when Chandler returned to the room.

Chandler, did you forget something?

No.

It's late. You better get going. I'll be fine, I promise.

But I'm not going to be fine if I leave you here.

They were interrupted by a knock on the door. Excuse me, Sir. I just need you to sign some documents at the Nurse's Station.

Chandler steps out of the room to follow the nurse.

Sir, please fill-up all the boxes with the check mark. We just need all these details for our record. The nurse handed him the form and a pen. Chandler has become accustomed filling up forms for both of them. He knows every bit of detail about her that he can fill the form up without asking her.

Chandler noticed that his name has been typed as the person to contact in case of emergency but the 'relationship to patient' part was blank.

Sir, here are Ms. Geller's IDs. We have already photocopied it for our file. Thank you.

The nurse inspected the form before letting Chandler go. Oh, so you are her boyfriend.

Now? Yes, boyfriend. I'm going to change that soon.

Alone in the hospital room, Monica looks around and notices Chandler's handwriting on her name tag that says HYPHEN BING after her typewritten name. Her eyes start to well up and a smile starts to spread across her face. This feels right.
