A/N: Thank you all for bearing with me as I write this. I just started school so I am trying to balance it all out. I will hopefully have this story completed before I go back to work in June. Not sure how many more chapters I will have in this story, but it will probably be another 2 or 3 chapters.
TW- There will be a graphic scene in this chapter involving harm to an unborn fetus. I will place several line breaks before and after the scene. You will be able to skip the scene without missing the story line.

Seeing the picture of Jules on the screen, the color drained from both Spike and Ed's faces. Turning to the techie, Ed tried to control his rage. "Spike, can you track that phone? We need to know where they are going, and we need unis to HQ now to find out what is going on. I'm calling Commander Holleran now, I'm going to have him re-up another team."
As Ed spoke, Spike tried to trace the number the picture was sent from. There was no signal, causing spike to slam his fist on the counter. "Dammit. They must have tossed the phone. I cant locate it." He rubbed his hands over his face and let out a long frustrated sigh.
"Spike, what is that dot that is moving? Is that one of our transponders?" Ed pointed at the screen where the dot was moving across the map of the GTA.
"Ed. You are a genius. Let me find Team Four." Spike paused as he located all six of the transponder signals. "Guys, I think Jules managed to grab her transponder. Team Four is all grouped together on their call, and we are all here. That could only be Jules."
Over the headsets, Sam was quietly heard thanking whoever was listening for Jules grabbing her transponder before being kidnapped. Relief evident in his voice, Sam spoke from his sniper perch. "Ed, we need to get a team to Jules ASAP. I'm not liking the way this group works. I'm thinking that Winnie may be unharmed, but incapacitated. They probably tied her up. This seems like a revenge mission."
Digesting the words Sam spoke, Ed realized that this was probably the case, but they would know soon enough that unis would be at HQ within the next few minutes.

"So, Lukas. You thought you would be able to hide from us? That is funny to me. You should have known better." Ernesto paced back and forth, glaring at Lukas sitting in his chair. The worry was visible in Lukas' eyes as two of the men had their guns trained on his wife.
Lukas' phone rang, and Ernesto snarled but answered it. "What do you want you pig? I told you what I wanted, and I told you what would happen if you interfered."
"Ernesto, this is Ed Lane from the police strategic response unit."
"How do you know my name?" Stepping forward, he placed the gun firmly against Lukas' forehead, glancing around trying to figure out how his name was known.
"I've got some smart people under my command. I was hoping we could talk this out, resolve this peacefully."
"I told you what I want. Now, you need to get it for me within—" Ernesto was cut off by a gunshot ringing out in the apartment, followed by the scream of a woman.
"Ernesto, is everybody ok in there?" Ed's level voice hid any trace of worry he was feeling. There was more yelling, and another gun shot before Ernesto came back on the phone.
"Yeah, everybody is fine. One of my guys made a mistake, so we had to punish him for that."
"Okay, Ernesto, is anybody hurt?"
"The bitch got shot in the arm. Bobby got a little jumpy and accidentally pulled the trigger, but he won't be a problem anymore. Now, I need you to tell your boy here to sit still and to not try to play hero. Otherwise, it will get real ugly in here."
"Lukas, hey man. Just stay calm for me. We're going to get you and your wife out of there, ok?"
"He says he will behave. Now, you only have thirty minutes to get me what I want." At that, Ernesto hung up the phone. Pulling the gun away from Lukas' forehead, Ernesto turned to one of the two remaining men. "Put Bobby somewhere else, and get the tarp ready."
As the dead body was being dragged from the living room, Ernesto's phone rang. Reading the name that flashed on the screen, a twisted smirk grew on his lips. "Tell me that bitch cop is dead."
As quickly as the grin spread on his face, it disappeared into a frown. Veins showing in his forehead as he ground out his next words. "What do you mean the cops found you?"
A few seconds of silence lingered, and then Ernesto gave his orders. "Shoot the bitch and run. Gonna have to make that one quick.

TW: Involves harm to an unborn fetus.
Taking a few steps, Ernesto made his way behind Lukas sitting in the chair, gripping him around the neck, placing the cool metal of the gun against his temple. "Boys, It's time."
Roughly, Lukas' wife was thrown to the floor. One of the men holding down the top half of her body. The other man pulled out a large kitchen knife, dragging the tip along her stomach, drawing a small amount of blood.
Lukas struggled, trying to break free to get to his wife, but the arms holding him into his chair increased their pressure making it so he couldn't escape the hold.
"Ernesto. Please. Please let her go. She hasn't done anything to deserve this." Begging clearly evident in his voice.
"Nope. You knew the consequences. Now you have to face them."
The knife was plunged up to the hilt into Ellie's stomach. It was pulled out and shoved into her stomach four more times. Blood rapidly pooling below her. Screams ripping from the woman's chest, pure terror evident. She knew she was about to die. The knife went in one last time, Making a straight cut from her hips, up to her chest. The knife was removed before being dragged across her neck. Her carotid arteries were severed, only a gurgling sound was heard as her last breath of air leaked from the slit in her neck.

Lukas threw up at the sight before him. His scream full of rage. His wife, the love of his life, dead. "What have you done?" Vomiting again, Lukas barely registered as the shot came through the window, taking out the guy with the knife.
The killing happened so fast, there was no way the sniper would have been able to save Ellie. Plus, if one guy failed, there were still two others. He knew that.
As soon as the man with the knife fell over, forming his own pool of blood, Ernesto took a few steps back from Lukas. Using this opportunity, he spun in his chair, and tackled him to the ground. Ernesto's head striking the corner of a table, leaving him disoriented for a few moments. Getting ahold of the gun, Lukas quickly turned around and shot the other man who helped in the murder of his wife. Three shots, Center mass.

"Ed, there is movement in the apartment. Looks like they are getting some sort of tarp out." Sam gave the report to Ed, keeping him apprised of what was happening in the apartment. "Looks like they have Lukas at gun point, but the wife has two guns trained on her. Do you want me to cover the wife?"
"Copy that Sierra One, switch targets." Ed acknowledged the new information, gave his order, and then turned to grab the remaining members of his team and headed up to the apartment, prepared to make entry if needed
Watching as Ernesto walked behind Lukas and gripped his neck, placing the barrel against his temple, Sam refocused his shot on Ernesto. "Ed, you are gonna need to make immediate entry. They've got Lukas in a choke hold and a gun to his head. Stand by..." Sam paused as he he saw the movement happening just slightly to the right of where his gun was aimed. Bile rising, Sam tried to swallow it down. "Ed, immediate action, they just stabbed the wife."
"Sam, if you have a shot, take it. Sierra One, Sierra One, Scorpio." Ed gave the order and immediately heard the shot being taken.
There was a cacophony of sounds and movement. Flash bangs and smoke grenades were throw in, providing enough of a distraction, the gunshots didn't register in the middle of it all. "Police! SRU! Get own the ground, put your hands on your head. Do it now!" Three voices yelled, storming their way into the apartment. The smoke quickly dissipated and they were left with the scene in front of them. Lukas, steps away from Ernesto who was backed into a wall.
"Lukas, stop. Drop your gun! It's over!." Ed yelled at the rookie officer, who seemed as if not to hear him. "Sierra One, Sierra One. Switch targets. I repeat, switch targets. Your focus is now on the hostage."
Sam switched his aim, not liking the way this was playing out, but knowing that he would take the shot if he had too, even though Ernesto did not deserve to live.
Lukas had completely blocked out all sounds. He didn't even register that the team had breached his apartment.
He walked slowly towards the man who took everything from him. He knew how this worked but he couldn't let this go. He had to take matters into his hands. Judge, jury, and executioner.
"You heartless, soulless, morally bankrupt piece of shit. Are you ready for your sentence?" He looked at the bastard with a crazed look in his eyes. Dried blood covering his arm, he ran it through his golden blonde hair.
"Look, you cant do anything to scare me. You're a pig. You cant do shit. Besides, you know what happens to piggies in jail, they go to the butcher shop." The other man spat on the ground at the young and distraught SRU officer who had him held at gun point.
There was nothing but pure hatred in his blue orbs as he stared down the man, like an animal with its prey. "Oh, I won't go to jail. As soon as I pull this trigger, the sniper they've set up will pull the trigger and we will both be dead." A maniacal laugh escaped his throat, not even sounding human anymore. "ARE YOU READY TO DIE?!"
"Lukas! Drop the weapon or we will shoot you!" Spike yelled trying to get through to the young officer.
"I ASKED IF YOU WERE READY TO DIE?" Lukas was close enough to Ernesto that spit was flung onto his face as Lukas yelled.
"Lukas! STAND DOWN!" Ed yelled again, hoping they could get the officer to stop before they had to do something they did not want to do. Ed watched as Lukas raised the gun, leveling it with Ernesto's head. His voice shaky, he spoke his next orders with a confidence he did not feel. "Sierra One, Scorpio."
A shot rang out, and two bodies fell to the floor in bloodied heaps. "Subject neutralized." Ed spoke quietly over the headset, fearing if he spoke louder, his voice would give way to the emotion that was building in him.
Silent tears ran down Sam's cheeks as he sat back from taking the shot. He didn't want to take another life of a friend. He knew he had no choice, but as soon as he pulled the trigger, he started having flashbacks from when he shot Matt.

Jules was dragged from the van, onto the tarp that had been spread out on the garage floor. She noted the knives that had been placed at one edge of the tarp. She knew it was futile, but she tried to negotiate for her life once more. "Please, don't hurt me or my baby. We haven't done anything to you. Please just let me go."
A scoff was heard, but was quickly replaced by the sound of a metal can hitting the ground, bouncing and then rolling. All attention turned to the canister, which then exploded, creating mass confusion.
The flash bang gave half of Team Three and the uni's time to enter and apprehend the suspects.
"Police! Get down now!"
"Hands above your head!"
"SRU!"
There was shouting from all officers who quickly entered and managed to tackle almost everyone. When the last member of Team Three entered, he noticed the sight in the middle of the room.
Jules was held upright by her hair, her pregnant self otherwise in a heap on the floor. A gun was firmly pressed against her temple. The officer stepped towards the man slowly, trying to defuse the situation, but negotiations were not his strong suit.
"Hey man, thats my friend. You can see she is pregnant, how about we let her go? Keep her and the baby safe?"
"You are a fucking idiot man. Why the hell else did you think we took her? She and her baby don't deserve to live."
A finger started to tighten around the trigger of the gun, and then a single shot rang out in the now, eerily quiet garage.
