Narrator- "Plans must be made, a date is on the way, but is there something else that Korra can get out of this."
I do NOT own Legend Of Korra or anything that has to do with the avatar series.
Chapter 5 Plans and Dates
This day couldn't get any worse! I have to save the world and get four elements that I am nowhere close too AND have to deal with the fact that I just kissed a man I met two hours ago and go on a 'date' with him the next day! My heart was aching and my head was pounding. I had met one of the world's richest men on earth and he was hidden in plain sight. I had been in this alley without sleep for another two hours debating on what to do! I was ruined, how could a teenage girl go and stop two wars when I abandoned one and the other I have no say in.
"Are you going to stop arguing with your self conscience or ask the professionals for help."
I stood up from the ground. "Vaatu"
"Yes it's me, I can help you with your situation but it needs a plan."
"Are you going to tell me the plan or just have a helpless girl yell out for help all night long."
"This boy could be useful after all, the past avatars before didn't do this but I think we could, if we have Mayko."
"Mako." I corrected
"Okay boy with shark eyebrows helps us with the war then we'll have the attention of the people! Imagine a billionaire man with a teenage woman from the streets claiming to stop the war with their inventions, better yet we team up with Hiroshi Sato's company. Then we'll not only have the attention but numbers in supporters."
"Okay as amazing as that sounds I can't bend, the world will see us as a joke."
"No they won't, with a little training with martial arts we can start our own revolution."
"Um, isn't that the opposite of what we want."
"We can promise the people of republic city something they want."
"Money."
"No, freedom, freedom from the war and the states, but that won't be enough, what's another state issue or government problem that hasn't been noticed by world leaders yet."
"Uh, well before this started there was a man that started a riot on equality, something about non benders being treated unfairly."
"That's it, we make you a nonbender."
"But I thought we still needed the four elements."
"We do but if we keep it a secret, and on last second blame it on some spirit issue to help the people then we might have a fighting chance."
"Okay so we get Mako on our team, and find a way to get us public, allowing the attention, then we state how we can help, and get supporters."
"There is one thing we need though."
"You know you can stop doing the germatic pause at any moment now."
"You must uptain one element, water."
"Why?"
"If things go wrong then I can help you gain a technique from water bending that can never go wrong."
"Okay that can work."
"And, when we do go to the north pole to upatin water bending you must cover yourself so no one reconizes you, a mask should work."
"Okay this could work."
"Trust me, it will work."
-Tomorrow Night-
I was wearing a blue southern water tribe dress that had worn from time to time to look decent. I looked at the restaurant for the fifth time this day. This place was way too fancy for me. I then saw a limo park right in front of the restaurant. Out came Mako wearing a tux and his scarf around his neck with his hair slicked back. This was going to be interesting. I walked in front of the restaurant and he caught sight of me.
"You look beautiful," he said, grabbing my hand and kissing it.
I smiled "You look quite handsome yourself city boy." did that just come out of my mouth!
We walked inside the restaurant with a waiter giving us private seats. I could tell Mako was just as nervous as me. I cleared my throat.
"So how was your day." uh this was harder than I thought.
He looked surprised that I spoke first. "Um, good you know I just been working on some diagrams for some of my father's inventions-" I stopped listening half way through, I couldn't even understand what he was saying. It was almost like he stopped speaking english.
Then he took me out of my thoughts. "Korra what did you do today." I almost felt like saying that all day I was planning on how to bring up the fact that I had wanted to join forces with his dad's company, but I bit my tongue.
"You know my lifes pretty boring. All I do is go to the mines." He frowned
"So what do you think of the war going on right now." oh my gosh did he just dig his own grave! Yes finally!
"Uh ya I actually do, I mean I really don't like the war, but I have had this weird idea on how it could be stopped." he leaned in closer.
"How?"
"Well do you remember the first riot before the wars."
"Of course my dad actually supported them, I believe it was on the non benders being equal with everyone else."
'Score'
"Well we can bring that back and help support the real problems instead of this war, this means equality and it doesn't have to happen and I understand if you don't want to but if we get the support of Hiroshi then we can use the inventions for more than nonsense destruction, it would bring more money to the Sato estate then anything."he smiled bigger than I had every seen him.
"If dad finds about this we can really get business booming!" he said jumping up and hugging me.
"Needtobreathe."he let go of me.
"I knew you were more, I just felt this spark." I had never seen him smile so much I felt my heart melt in warmth and I started smiling too. The waiter came up to us.
"So sorry for the wait but what were your orders."
-End Of The Night-
We were walking to the parking lot hand and hand. I had learned that Mako was more than any person I had ever met. He was charming, nice, funny, I felt like I actually had a friend in this world.
"Hey I want to show you something, follow me." he held on my hand tighter and he ran with me. We finally made it to Avatar Kyoshi's Park, with a huge statue of her memory. He took me to a tree and we sat down under it.
"When I was little I used to sit here and watch the stars all night long looking for a shooting star with my brother."
"Did you ever find one." he smiled
"Once before the war started I went here to catch up with Bolin and at night we sat here waiting and finally one just came." We stayed there all night sitting and looking at the stars with no words. When I turned to look at him he was asleep. I looked up at the stars and closed my eyes, I could swear I saw a shooting star before I closed my eyes.
