"Okay...hope you guys brought your running shoes. There's some major activity near one of Fisk's construction sites. Demon sightings as well. Could be a gang scuffle." Jeremie said.
"We're heading over right now." Izuku said.
"We'll keep you posted. Good luck, guys!" Mari said.
The heroes arrived at Consolidated Shipping, Spider Man already there as they took vantage points on the beams.
"Hey, glad you guys are here. I got the call from Officer Davis about the attack on this construction site. The Demons are getting more bold." Spider Man said.
"Bolder than you think." Jiro said. "I just heard gunfire. They're killing off Fisk's men."
"We need to figure out who's in charge of these guys. Maybe if we save Fisk's men, he'll tell us." Hagakure recommended, garnering looks. "What? He's connected to everything crime related in New York. If he knows anything about the Demons, he's gotta know something."
"Are you sure that's advisable? We are the ones that put him behind bars, after all." Sero said.
"Maybe so, but that doesn't change the fact that what these Demons are planning is anything but safe and holy. It pains me to suggest this, but… I agree with Hagakure, I think we should help them." Setsuna said.
"All right...guess we're saving our enemies then." Iida said as they hurried into the building.
After stealthily taking out the more imminent threats, the group headed into combat and saved one threatened Fisk thug (albeit hanging him up by tape), and defeated his attackers. Spider Man then grabbed a smartphone from the thug and answered it, revealing it to be Kingpin himself.
"Hey Willie. Nice jumpsuit. Slimming." Spiderman joked.
"You all need to stay out of my business." Fisk warned.
"Wait! The Demons leader, who is it?" Hagakure asked.
Fisk hesitated for the second, then answered. "Keep my men alive and maybe I'll tell you."
"Okay...guess we're doing this." Kamakiri said as they clashed with demons as they made their way outside. "Seriously, Fisk, who is it?"
"They may be on the roof." Fisk said on the phone.
"Hold on I think I got a visual...what on earth?" Mari said.
The group headed to the roof to see a chopper ready for takeoff. Spider Man landed first and saw the demons fleeing.
"Oh no you don't!" Spider Man webbed up the chopper and attached it to a generator, but the chopper's propulsion was too great, as it ripped the generator off its hinges and brought it along. It then slammed into a construction crane like a wrecking ball, causing it to tip over as Spider Man started webbing it up.
"I got the crane! You guys go after that chopper!" Spider Man called.
"Ingenium, can you keep up?" Mari asked.
"What? No way. I'm only fast on the ground, not in the air." Iida said.
"Well...then it's on me!" Setsuna said as she grabbed onto it as the helicopter took off.
"Guys? What's going on? We're getting reports of a helicopter with a wrecking ball." Tails asked.
"Just a bit of a slip up. Don't worry, I'm on it!" Setsuna said.
"Okay, see what you can do about grounding it, Lizardy." Hope said.
"Gotcha!" Setsuna said. "Alright, think Setsuna. How do I ground this thing? Hmm… if I jam the rotor...yeah. Oh, this is gonna cost me but…" she said sending a few of her pieces into the rotor and causing it to jam. "Yes!" she said before the helicopter started to fall. "Whoa, whoa, bad idea!"
"I've got you, Lizardy!" Spider Man said appearing just in time to rapidly web the helicopter to two of the buildings, stopping it in place. "Whew… close one."
"Yeah… thanks, Spidey." Setsuna said.
"You gonna be alright? Those parts of your body weren't vital, but you still kinda need em." Spider Man said.
"It's fine. I can always regenerate them." she said. "I'll be fine with time."
"Oh...good. Well...guess this one is in the bag." Spider Man said as he went off on his way as the police were arriving to take in the webbed up Demons.
It was later that the group joined up near a rally for the current mayor of New York, Norman Osborn as well as the medal ceremony of Jefferson Davis.
"Its great that Officer Davis is getting rewarded for what he did last night." Kendo said.
"But still, Norman Osborn as mayor?" Al asked. "Well at least this version seems more sane than the one Miriam and I fought on the Raft."
"Yeah...but this world could still be young. Besides, he may be a villain behind dark curtains." Jexi said.
"But for now...we're just here to see officer Davis get his reward for helping us." Ochako said. "Especially since the Demons are only left with stragglers."
"But there are still many things we don't know. Like that negative energy. It seems more than just some mass produced power." Izuku said.
"He's right, though barely, I could slightly feel a person's emotions from it." Thorani said. "Actually...I can feel it now in fact."
"What are you…" Jexi said as he noticed one of the guys starting to glow with a bomb strapped to his chest. "Crap. Everyone out! It's a bombing!" he called out as the bombs on each of the negative people started going off one after another.
"The Deputy Mayor's got one too!" Al said.
However it came too late as that bomb went off as well as everything went black.
"Ugh...what…?" Thorani groaned as she awoke close to the stage. "Officer Davis!" she said, seeing the heavily injured man on the stage as she ran over to him.
"Dad!" a voice called as a young man ran over to the officers side. "Dad...dad!" he cried.
"Stay with us!" Thorani said, attempting to use her powers to heal him.
"Thorani, there's no need for that. It's… It's too late for him." David said solemnly.
"I know but...I can't stand this…" she cried as the demons began to surround them.
"Hey...get away from them!" a voice called out as Izuku was slowly approaching them. "Don't...hurt them." he said as they ignored him. "Please...don't...agh!" Izuku said, gripping his wrists in pain. "What...what is….ah...ah!" he cried out as a number of black tentacle-like things emerged from his wrists.
"What the? What's going on with Midoriya?" Kentaurosmon asked.
"This power… No… It can't be…" David said.
"What's apparent is that he cannot control it." Thorani said. "I'm sorry to do this Midoriya...but you need to sleep." she said, firing her water right at Izuku and incapacitating him as the tentacles calmed down.
The Demons were freaked out by this and were about to finish them.
"Enough!" a voice called out as a man with the same negative colored skin stood there. "We're done here." he said as the Demons retreated.
"You, you're the one who's emotions I felt." Thorani said as he went to leave. "Don't you dare…"
"You are not the ones I am after. However, get in my way and you will pay." he said.
"Just...who are you?" Thorani demanded.
"For all intents and purposes...you can call me Mr. Negative." he said as he soon left.
"Mr. Negative, huh? Sure fits his little disposition." Revali said.
"Still, so much has happened here and so many questions to ask, I don't know where to start." David said.
"I've got one, what was up with Izuku back there?" Akane asked.
"No idea." Jexi said as he looked to Revali, Akane, David, Thorani and Kentaurosmon. "But this stays between us."
"Got it. My lips are sealed." David said.
"I'm sorry." Thorani said to the young man.
"Thorani...just leave him be. He needs the time to grieve." Revali said as they departed. "So what was that back there?"
"No clue...it was like...black whips or tentacles or something." Kentaurosmon said.
"I could feel it too when they sprouted out." David said. "It was like some sort of dark entity responded to his emotions and tried to take over."
"Maybe not dark but...I do have an idea. One for All did have other wielders before Izuku after all. And it came from All for One." Jexi said.
"So it's possible one of the previous wielders powers manifested in Izuku." Thorani said.
"Most likely. But there's still so much about that we cannot say for sure." Revali said.
"We may have to ask All Might about it next time we go to Izuku's world." Jexi said. "Seeing as how he would know more about it than we do. For now though, we'll keep this little discovery to ourselves until we can further understand."
"Right. No one else can know about this." David said.
"Yeah...but the current matter is dealing with this Mr. Negative." Kentaurosmon said.
