Alrain: If there is one thing I don't like about Persona is that Minato despite being in another universe acts as the same guy over and over and there are some good stories, but think again in the psychology department that he is free but also wants to enjoy life again after being stuck for so many years and he will want to enjoy life and keep on going instead of being his emotionless husk. Honestly, you need some changes in the MC since there are parts that tend to get annoying as hell in certain situations.

Also, did I come off rude in the Log Horizon about Female SI's? Because if I did I apologize for it that it came off as me insulting them and that I have to tell you the reason, I was as a child had one of the worst cases of being shy and having a great inferiority complex and that took me years to get over it and it still gives me bad memories, what does this have to do with Female SI's?

They tend to give too many emotional things that make me remember how overemotional I had been...it just brings bad memories back of my stupid faults, I know that I learned from them but remembering them isn't pleasant. At the same time, I had been a victim of bullying and I was too meek to fight back and I don't like being weak anymore, if I am reminded of something like that constant pondering of the 'What If' would be there.

Chapter 5: Getting Involved.

Unknown.

"There has been an increase of villain activity fo the hidden places and more children from the orphanage are gone as well as beggars from the streets, and various other subjects that seemed to link to a single person," reported Hiashi Midoriya as he was sitting to discuss with the Government of what was happening, it was urgent as the Government had to work a lot harder to cover up the tracks and while the public wouldn't think that the peace would last forever they are wrong.

"Has All Might still not chosen a successor? I thought Nighteye had proposed the boy who had the most potential!" called someone out and getting many hums of agreement.

"It is the agreement of what he wanted and that was for him to find his own Successor he deems worthy of inheriting his Quirk...this is what we accepted," replied Hiashi who respected the wish of All Might that he would choose his own successor to inherit his Quirk, All Might is very respected so much so the government had agreed to this demand of his with his Quirk but with the increased Villain Activity that has risen in such numbers made matters now difficult, the Number 1 Hero was degrading and is left unable to stay any longer than an hour in his Buff Form before reverting to his Skinny Form thanks to the wounds he had suffered from his fight.

All for One had been defeated but the signs are there that showed he was coming back and gathering his power back together after their last fight, and like predicted he was very subtle and took advantage of the Fake Peace that is present as a cover to get unnoticed, due to this some members of the Government and other heroes that All Might close is are now pushing the Number 1 Hero to choose his next successor with skilled and young Heroes who possess powerful Quirks. One of them was Mirio Togata who had been presented by Sir Nighteye and with the ability to phase through anything, he was very skilled in using his Quirk and in hand-to-hand combat, and with that combination, All for One would not be able to touch him nor take his Quirk away.

"Hmph! I find it stupid that the Number 1 Hero lets his personal feelings come forth rather than prioritize the safety of whole Japan...the horrors that would come if he is doing that is unimaginable," that comment made everyone shudder even Hiashi who is usually unfazed by scary things or people twice or thrice his size wouldn't dent a change in his expression, but All for one is a different story and he still remembered meeting the man and it had shaken him to the core at how his flames had been nullified so quickly.

"Give him a bit more time and when the time is up and if push comes to shove...he will choose one of the proposals when he is unable to fight anymore," said Hiashi and he really hated making the hard choices but as the Temporarily Retired Hero Fireburst he had a lot of fame, he had been a former disciple of Endeavor who had a lot of experience with his Quirk and trained him to his best of his abilities, but he also adapted a bit of the mindset of him and that was making the hard choices and being a bit more stubborn to give up on a fight unless he had no choice but to retreat.

Right now was that hard decision and his answer seemed to satisfy them all and moved onto the next subject.

"I'll have to be blunt about the society of now...it is about the subject of bullying of the Quirkless again," this got groans from everyone and not out of annoyance and not seeing this as a true problem but a problem All for One took advantage off, bullying wasn't so rare and children these days got cocky with their Quirks and there was something of a hierarchy that was developing in the children of the present, parents praising their children far too much and some didn't and raised them good.

"If we don't do anything about right now more and more resentment will come forth by the Quirkless people and before we know it the children will do something unforgivable, and that might land them a harsh blow and as much as they deserve it as the destruction of a social life isn't an option,"

All children are at a young age cruel and could laugh off cruel acts they did and it made Hiashi sigh as Katsuki came in mind and his sending to the disciplinary school by his parents, he is one of those examples that if someone saw him abusing his Quirk on a Quirkless his social life would be destroyed, the father admitted to himself he did want to punch the boy for using explosions that can kill someone if used unwisely. It was good that Izuku inherited parts of Inko's personality but she had always been too shy and unresponsive, Izuku had definitely inherited that of his mom but inherited his drive at least to achieve what he wanted to become.

"Agreed, the last thing we want is for children to grow up the whole time bullied because they possess something that 85% of the world does possess,"

"Should we just instruct the heroes to give a Heavy-Talk to those teens who think that they can become a Hero with their Quirk?" suggested one.

"That might be a good idea...unless you want them to be ostracized as we have children who are totally based evil on their Quirk or to be deemed worthless," shot down another as Quirks gave off mutations that aren't pretty or simply hard to look at, the ability of the Quirk is also put in this subject as something that looked evil or that a villain would have will get ostracization. And if the idea happened of a Hero telling you that you can't become a Hero because their Quirk isn't just useful for any Hero Section, more useful for the production of the creation instead and other jobs but that would get some troubles from parents and teen social lives.

"No, it won't, that is already happening and we can do only something more strict about it of telling teens they can not work in a certain Hero Department that they want to be in, offer them a job that is equally important to the Heroes and promote their names too which can earn them fame. Gang Orca is already one of those heroes that appears as a Villain so we have to instruct Hero Teachers to tell those who attempt the exam over and over again that they aren't suited for this,"

"We will put it to a vote then,"

It had become a tie when the hands had risen but there is a single person who hasn't voted it yet and that is Hiashi who is pincered in this argument with himself, agreeing to not have the Heroes tell the teenagers they can't do it is good for his son but also not so good for the community, but if he agreed to the 2nd one his son would be straight-up told in the face he shouldn't be even in the exams to become a hero and all his hard training and work would've been for nothing. This is a job for him to make the final decision of an argument that is about the future and community of Japan and his personal feelings and his son too, both had consequences for accepting but the 2nd one sounded way worse off and there is only one outlet for him to not suffer any consequences.

A 3rd choice.

Streets.

Back to Izuku who is shopping with Midu and that wasn't the best of ideas he had because once again he got the envy of boys that are a bit older than him. After all, what boy wouldn't want his own beautiful maid wearing the outfit self and her looks complementing it. It is hard to judge what age she's in but Izuku had seen what has happened to her and how she acted sometimes with her head in the air and sometimes serious, it is like seeing a child and an adult mixed randomly and having a few habits like losing concentration sometimes and not losing it.

Yet when it comes to maid duties or serving him she didn't fall in such habits at all like she had been made for this...

'Still, even with Midu amping up my training I don't really feel like constantly training now,' through years of carefully training his body and following a diet to match it and various other exercises and training from his dad's friends he felt bored, he isn't ready yet but he felt that he wanted to do more and while he has met some small-time thugs and taken them down it wasn't satisfying.

"I have the whole day free and completed my daily training schedule...Midu, should we head a bit deeper into the old parts of the streets?" suggested Izuku.

"...The day is young, Master Midoriya, and if it is what you wish to do then I'll comply," spoke Midu after checking the watch on her wrist and agreeing to his suggestion and it made him only sigh. But a split second the moment he opened his eyes they caught something and thanks to his newly acquired Quirk and that was that some shadows in an unsuspecting alley caught his attention, and no one would notice as there are hardly any people on the street he and Midu are on and with a secret signal that he picked up in training Midu nodded.

Heading into the direction Izuku and Midu peered over the side and saw some shady people talking to each other and behind them is a van that took off.

"Ugh! It is getting harder to abduct people lately even if they're hobos!" complained one of the men.

"Can't do anything about it! We just get those hobos to be delivered and we get our pay and if we have to work a bit harder for it then so be it!" replied another scoffing at the weak complaining of his fellow worker.

"I don't care how well we get paid as that guy is creeping the hell out of me...and to know that his boss is even creepier and making him look like a child isn't something I want!" this certainly got the interest of the 2 listening to them off and Izuku made another signal with his head and Midu complied and slowly liquefied herself and slowly slithered her way to the suspicious men arguing, they didn't notice her at all as Midu hid herself in the shadows and slowly split up ready to grab the men by their feet and hoist them up and shut their mouths.

"Just a few more of these jobs and we will just politely ask to resign and ask their boss to erase our memories from them, okay? The pay is good and we are hardly worth his time, no powerful or useful Quirks, no skills that he can use for something, we have nothing to be noteworthy off so just a few more of these simple jobs and we can stop," argued the other although he's sweating when saying this signaling that it wasn't true they would let them go or that he just didn't know if the possibility or option is available to them.

And that moment he said that Midu restrained them from being able to move or shout but able to breathe.

Izuku came out of his hiding and joined Midu and stared at the 2 men looked back at them and their looks turned quickly into glares and muffled talking, though he waited that off knowing most of their sentences are to release them, insults, angry talk, and demanding who he and Midu are and how much they had heard them talking.

"What were you guys talking about," not a question but a demand as his eyes stared coldly into the eyes of the men and they flinched back in fear, never having seen those eyes in their life and much less expecting to see them in the eyes of a child. But they regained themselves and their eyes turned to the side and some muffled groans came and it is too easy to predict them, saying that they won't tell and that a child won't make them talk and what he is capable of doing as he's a child.

He didn't need to do that as Midu who's body is liquid and felt the vibrations and heard the insults as well especially the ones regarding Izuku, soon the world turned upside down for the men, and their heads meeting the ground several times as Midu mercilessly slammed them up and down. Only Izuku's quick and quiet order to stop Midu from continuing allowed the men not to become braindead or suffer from brain damage though the 2nd part might be too late, for a moment Izuku panicked that he might have been too late but one of them woke up and pleaded him not to continue and will spill all the information he had.

"What were you just doing,"

"W-We were tricking homeless people into following us and then we captured them and delivered them to some people!"

"Why,"

"I don't know!"

Izuku couldn't continue to ask as the man suddenly squealed in a level that he could sing soprano as Midu manipulated her own body to slither behind his underwear and give him one of the most painful wedgies that dug far too deep, another order of Izuku and Midu calmed down and was given another order not to...punish the man without his order even if he got insulted if he didn't do that the man would be left whimpering and unable to answer to any of his questions.

"I-I truly...hiccup...don't k-know,"

Yep, he could see that as the desperation in his voice was so thick you can cut it with a knife.

"Where do they bring them, what color of the van, is this just one of the meeting places,"

There is a rendezvous point, there's no specific color for the vans to not be seen as suspicious, and this isn't one of the meeting places as they go to places where hardly anyone is, and the final question Izuku asked what people they kidnapped and it seemed that only adults are kidnapped and that they are mostly people who had been loners, ruined lives, and backgrounds with similar stuff like that as they are people easily forgotten and not much is known about them except that they had been never noticeable or anything special about them.

Cases that can be written off as suicide or leaving for another city to find more chances there and all of that...for moment Izuku imagined himself in that place and how shocked he had been when told he had no Quirk and never a chance of the future to become a Hero, if he had given into that would he be the same as those people? No, while he admitted that he could never help get out of that hole all by himself his parents wouldn't allow him to, his father especially and his father is far too strong for that to ever let himself down.

"For what are they kidnapped for,"

"I don't know...and I don't want to know," looking at Midu she nodded signaling that he's telling the truth to them and got knocked out by Midu.

"...Midu, let's get these 2 to the police and go home..." if there is anything that withheld him from trying to figure out everything that's happening right now it is his training, his teachers have often mentioned there is almost no fault in him except that he tends to be incredibly reckless, and he can only be reckless if the situation demanded him to be reckless like situations where almost no time is for planning.

...

...

'A small series of kidnappings are happening,' it was like the man told him as there had been a report of kidnappings happening though not that noticeable for anyone to take interest in it, he sought it out on his laptop and researched and sought similar articles of suicides or missing of people and posters of missing people too, old and the new news and looking at anything that has a connection to it. Whether it is time, place, and anything else that can connect the chains of these missing people there is always a clue about something that connects them all, luckily his laptop is isolated and has a lot of security on it as his intelligence gave him a quick understanding of almost everything.

It is like he thought and what he had heard from the man he had to send to the police and the missing people are all people who had been people who can easily disappear, people with no specialty or Quirks that can be mentioned and a few of them even Quirkless. They were just invisible people and easily dismissed as people who took their own lives or had such little connection of friends and to their families, just no one of importance and just ripe to pick off the streets and also in places where one can get kidnapped easily as the kidnappings happened at a late time, alleys, or places similar to them when the city isn't crowded with people or so dark and events happening that no one pays attention to anyone around them.

Whoever planned these kidnappings is very good at being subtle about it and looking at the diagram they kept it as low as possible as this amount of missing people seemed enough, enough to be used for whatever things that were going to happen to them but all he knew are that he won't find that on the Internet and halted himself from going any further than that. Saving all the data and locking it down on a document with all the information he currently knows he erased his search and visit history about what he had done, Midu is aware of this and he didn't bother hiding this or do it by himself as he's a child and Midu has a scary awareness of what he's doing.

"What will your plan be, Master Midoriya,"

"...I don't know if I should do anything," he wanted to relay this to his father and he expected a scolding from him and his mom and get a long day of harsh training from it, and he shivered at the thought of it that even with his greatly developed body that his dad would find a way or set training in such a ridiculous set that he would never try it again. Something horrendous that not even the daily training he performs would ease him out and that it would be just barely the 1st few steps of what his father's true training would be, he knew his instructors took it a bit easy on him as he's a child after all but his dad wouldn't take it easy on him just as he had requested it himself that he can take it.

He never regretted so much saying that.

It had been harsh and quite nightmarish but it was for his best and it is his motivation as his dad believed that he can become a Hero even without a Quirk...well, now he does have a Quirk and still hasn't told both of his parents and he didn't want to tell them, but he got that idea out of his head that if they found out later dad would train his ass completely off and traumatize him and mom would probably get a heart attack and feel hurt by it.

That he didn't trust her enough for it...perhaps that would've happened as he imagined an entire other scenario and that had been with him giving into despair, he would let his bullies bully him and not be able to fight back because he believed not having a Quirk won't give him any chances of winning, years of not thinking straight and incredible damage to his ego and self-confidence.

'Can't think about that now, right now I need to tell this to my parents...and not leave the fight out so stop suggesting me such meek ideas stupid brain!' and with that Izuku punched himself in the face to punish his brain and make it register the pain...but perhaps regret is there as he never punched himself and never knew how his strength would wash up against his pain tolerance...the latter didn't win.

"Ouch!"

Nighttime, Midoriya Household.

'Not the brightest of ideas that I had,' complained Izuku internally as the damage he had inflicted on himself as Midu had patched it up for him and scolded him for rash thinking, if his teachers were here then they would never let him live it down for the rest of his life and he intended to take this to the grave, but unfortunately, mom and dad would know since they can see it and they live in the same apartment after all.

"So you punched yourself in the face for getting a bad idea...bwahahaha!" laughed Hiashi slapping his knee when he put down his chopsticks and rice down, didn't last long as Inko poked his side that ceased his laughter but not his snickering. "A-Anything...snicker? E-Else to tell us?"

"...yeah, something very important,"

After a few minutes of explaining and the whole family is silent and for a moment nothing happened before Hiashi stood up and stood behind Izuku a few meters away, asking him what he had in his hand the answers he got after a few tests and it is confirmed to him, a test that has to do with the vision of the eyes and mainly the sides as leaning to the left and right does confuse the eyes sometimes.

"The one who broke in seemed to know you dad...but the thing was that she seemed to admire you very much...does she remind you of anyone?"

"...not that I know...I had a lot of people that I helped in the past and honestly all of them admired me quite a lot that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference..." Hiashi sighed not having expected someone of his old days to help his son gain a Quirk through some unknown means, a injection had been given to his son and gave him a useful Quirk with a slight weakness. He truly didn't see this coming that him being kind and motivating pulled his family into something complicated in the past and that he barely knew this person himself, he helped a lot of people in the past male and female and he had followers of both genders but there is one more problem coming to them.

"What is there, dad?"

"...there has been an old file case opened up again and they asked me to come back and help train the younger heroes," revealed Hiashi.

"Wait...you're going back to being Dragonbreathe?" whispered Izuku in awe and confusion that his dad is going back to being a Hero for the time.

"Yes, this file is old but in truth, it has been never been truly closed off and mostly just told that it is a closed case...but this person is that dangerous we can't ignore the signs he left that he may have returned..." from the way Hiashi was breathing it was a serious case as small flames came out as he breathed in and out.

Flame Breathe, the Quirk of his dad that enabled him to breathe fire and the reach and power is quite powerful and can be even compressed inside his mouth and lungs, the input of heat and power can be increased if more oxygen is used and his dad's lungs are very powerful and strong but at the same time his throat wasn't. The heat of his flames dry his throat up and often requires him to drink and sometimes stop and cough, it also allows his father to warm himself up and even shoot his fire in consecutive shots.

"And now that this has come I may have to refuse it..." hesitation wasn't laced in his voice and carefully hidden but his expression told him plenty.

"Dad...don't worry about me, okay, just focus on your job," said Izuku surprising his parents and Inko looked shocked that he would actually prioritize his father's work over his own safety.

"What!? Son, there is someone of my past going after you and pulling you into a mess that can be very big!" Hiashi was careful with talking about All for One as this case his son is talking about was scarily close to what All for One is capable of doing...no, this is what All for One is trying to do!?

All for One had always intended to increase his power after losing against All Might and the amount of power he lost from their last battle, and now he has resurfaced and his plans are now foiled out by his son's experience and his actions giving him critical pieces of information he needed to relay to the council, they had to dismantle this plan and his base of operations of where he's doing this. This alone proved he can gain power right now as his son is the very example that All for One had improved on himself again and learned from his defeat, this isn't comic books where villains are dumb as All for One is very intelligent and with this major improvement of his that meant All Might and his allies would face even more trouble from now on.

But the safety of his family came in front too and he felt conflicted even with his son telling him that he should focus on his work and get to it, his son isn't naive and has been taught how to see beyond things and he had slipped a bit up. His son had the aptitude for it as his habit of taking notes of Quirks and noticing the full potential of it and how to counter it's weaknesses, additional information how to improve even the slightest bits that can be useful and anything else, and normally this would leave him very proud but right now it didn't.

The question about this is how can he trust this fellow student or person he has met in the past, even if she stated her good intentions, and what if she would go back on her word or just simply lied and that she's actually an enemy from his past. His brain desperately racked up all the memories of the people he has helped in the past and the ones he had sat on the straight path again, had one of them actually been jealous of him or admired him just that much that they still keep an eye out for him?

"Tell me more about this fellow,"

"...she told me that she was disappointed for not having the courage to claim you for herself and that she just wanted to keep you happy, anything else besides that is just pretty much the same of not wanting to see you in any way sad and all of that...didn't think she's lying," added Izuku although he didn't compare to his teacher who taught him how to catch lies or deceiving tones and differ it from true intentions, he found himself to be decent as he had also been taught any form of pride can lead to arrogance.

His dad is incredibly serious and he wished he had not talked about this right as he had no idea of this threat his father is facing and how he's torn in staying with his family, or return to being a Hero again and sniff this case out that has a lot of help needed and can't be ignored.

"Dad...let's just put in faith for this right now and have your focus on your job," asked Izuku not having felt any ill intent from the woman that gave him his Quirk as this is something he recognized too, he had thought long time about it that if someone can give your a Quirk with just an injection that meant chaos would spread across the city and eventually the whole country to the whole world. "I understand the situation, dad, and if this isn't stopped right now someone else with less noble intentions has some plans he or she wants to enable,"

...

...

...

Hiashi sighed and relented and knew his son pretty much closed off any escape he had and that him having his old contacts teach his son skills backfire on him, but overall he's right that if he didn't stop this or help to find the place where the injections are made that someone else powerful will try to take it for themselves. Not all villains are aligned with All for One mainly because of pride or their interests didn't match at all, and those villains have a rather shallow view and just want the basic things that anyone wants in their daily life, more money.

"Dear...if it is something you're worried about then you must pay attention to it," chided Inko her husband to try to help his allies to fix the problem and she may not know what it is that they doing, but she does know her husband for years of marriage and that Hiashi isn't one to worry a lot or would actually compare the problem to his family that he cherished most, and if he did that she knew that he had to pay attention to it knowing he couldn't choose between the 2 of them. His job as a Former Hero is a serious position as being one of the strongest heroes trained underneath Endeavor who had attained his agency very quickly at a young age, and that he a retired Hero is needed means it is business that they need very skillfully heroes back into this case.

"...I do want you to cut down your training a little bit and stay at the side of your mom as much as you can," demanded Hiashi and his son nodded.

"Hardly anything around me can escape my sight," he can see behind himself without having to turn around and see even his whole body as if he's looking from above yet being able to look through a normal vision, it had been quite the experience for him to get used to it but improvements are made and even talented and gifted people need training and guidance of skilled people.

"Midu, can I ask you to do the same thing?"

"Of course, I will make sure that whenever Master Midoriya is off to school that I will look after Inko-sama,"

"Midu-chan! How many times do I ask you not to refer me like that!?" shouted Inko embarrassed and not having gotten over that their maid is referring to her as a lady of prestige house.

"Approximately about 275 times but with today 276 times, Inko-sama," responded Midu calmly much to the embarrassment of Inko.

"Aw! Don't be exasperated by it, Inko, you're so beautiful that you are easily worth enough to be called that!" teased Hiashi.

"Stop joking, Hiashi!"

"Who said I was joking?"

The mood is at least lifted noted Izuku as dad and mom continued their flirtatious bickering and Midu smiling and left the depressing topic of choice for his father, he didn't have to feel guilty about it

Alrain: Hopefully this chapter satisfies you and I have been again given a test week but then the May Vacation comes but I have to still learn, cuz I got still one after the vacation, and learning about Windows Server isn't easy at all. I'll be looking which story I can upload and honestly, I don't know if I should continue my Attack on Titan story, it is far too complicated and doesn't make it easy cuz I want to add a bit of reality to it but not too much of it since it is Anime.

I'll be writing some more SI fics as there is a lot of it lacking and to my readers and the ones who suggested me some SI stories, I have seen those all or they are just not the ones I search for as I again repeat that I'm not searching Naruto SI's, I have seen some SI's of Tales and Demons but not interesting to me since I don't read the manga. Also, no Harry Potter and such ones that are taking too much space and only expanding needlessly because new Anime is added to the site, not the ones with mc's that like curse a darn lot in the beginning, no OP in the beginning, just pretty much anything that ruins a good beginning no matter how many favorites it has.

Still, thanks for helping me search for good SI fics.
