"Elena's alive." Elijah informed

Klaus froze, those were the last words he expected to hear.

"I heard the Bennett witch on my way out of the Salvatore's boarding house." Elijah continued.

Klaus's eyes shifted to Jeremy, noticing his racing heart. Klaus slowly hung up the phone, not breaking eye contact with Jeremy.

"Where is she?" Klaus asked.

His words sounded both desperate and threatening in Jeremy's ears.

Jeremy recalled the seriousness in his sister's eyes when she had told him she didn't want Klaus to know she was alive.

He was sure that she didn't want to even see Klaus, why else would she tell him to come here when she could've gone herself?

"Where is who?" Jeremy asked, attempting to play dumb.

Klaus took a step towards Jeremy, making himself look even more threatening.

"I will not repeat myself, where is she?" Klaus yelled.

Jeremy swallowed dryly, just as he was about to say something his phone rang. Klaus looked down at Jeremy's phone before grabbing it.

Jeremy watched as Klaus's face practically lit up when he saw who was calling. Without warning, Klaus answered the phone.

"Jer, did you find it yet?" Elena asked.

Klaus could hear Elena pacing around as her heartbeat increased rapidly.

"Jer?" Elena asked confusedly.

"Elena." Klaus breathed.

Elena's pacing suddenly came to a stop. Her mouth opened and closed a couple of times before she decided on what to say.

"Where's Jeremy?" Elena asked.

"So it's true, you're alive." Klaus mumbled.

"Where's Jeremy?" Elena repeated.

Klaus paused, smirking as his eyes went to Jeremy.

"He's right here, love." Klaus informed.

"Give him the phone." Elena demanded.

"Now why would I do that?" Klaus asked.

"Because you love me." Elena said bluntly.

Before Klaus could say a word Elena quickly interrupted him.

"If you thought for a second that didn't see how you mourned and searched for me, you're mistaken."

"And yet, you never came back." Klaus deadpanned.

"Why would I?" Elena asked.

"Don't pretend that this is all one-sided, Elena." Klaus growled.

"Klaus, I don't… I feel nothing for you, you're nothing to me." Elena confessed.

Before Klaus could respond she hung up the phone and quickly called someone she hadn't spoken to in a very long time.

"So it's true? You're alive?"
