Ryder tosses some clothes in a suitcase while Chase is by his side. "How long till you get back?" Chase questions.

Chase looks at Ryder with honest eyes. "I don't know what I would do without you. If you're gone who leads the team? So many gaps open up." Chase replied.
Ryder sighed now feeling bad at his ignorance towards Chase. "I'm not going to go missing. Even if I did you guys are smart enough to lead yourselves by now. Look, I have to catch my flight." Ryder said showing Chase his watch. Chase nodded and they both went downstairs. At the bottom was every pup besides the twins and Tracker. "Alright pups! I'll be heading out now. See ya and love y'all!" Ryder says giving his temporary goodbyes. "Who's in charge?" Rocky asked hoping it would be him.
"Uh... Chase." He said before walking out.
Skye rolled her eyes. "Of course."
"What.." Chase scoffed.
Everest gave him a death stare. "You suck up to him the most." She said.
Chase was going to object but she's right. "Yeah but I don't that much." He defended.
Most of the pups shook their heads. "No you do. I've never seen an argument where you come out on top. You always end up agreeing with him." Rocky said.
Chase shook his head. "No..."
"Yeah dude." Zuma agreed.
Marshall was confused on why everyone was so...mean all of a sudden. "Guys give him a break. He's been the temporary leader before. What's the issue?" He questioned.
"Ryder never lets anyone else get a chance to prove themselves." Rocky replied.
Chase looked at Rocky with confused eyes. He was internally fuming at Rocky's statement. He didn't know how hard and annoying it is to lead the team. Especially when they all have an attitude. "Fine then, I'll let you lead until you come crawling back to me for help." Chase smirked as he held out a paw. Rocky accepted it. "Bring it." He replied.
"So... what do I do the just sit here like you?" He insulted. The pups decided to take advantage of the new leader. "Hey Rocky can I go out onto the beach? It's 2 so I'll be back at 4!" Zuma asked excitedly. Normally Chase would say yeah but if he stayed out any longer than 20 minutes past the agreed time Chase would have hunted him down. "Sure, be back by 4 though." Rocky agreed.
"I can get used to this." He cockily spoke with a smile.
Chase rolled his eyes and looked towards Marshall. "Wanna hang out? I'm free of my duties for now." Chase said taking advantage of his free time.
Marshall shrugged and nodded.
"Woah woah woah! Where are you going? I thought we were gonna hang out?" Rocky questions.
"That's kinda inconsiderate don't you think?" Marshall asked.
"How?"
"You're ignoring most of the pups just so we can play." Marshall explained.
Rocky was kinda hurt by this. "Yeah but Chase does that too..." he objected.
"Well he keeps tabs on everyone. Where they are, where they plan on going, who they're with. He mentally keeps us down it's weird." Everest said shivering at the thought of him know everyone's schedules. She didn't think Ryder knew that stuff.
"I'll just make sure everyone stays here. Besides Zuma he already left." Rocky spoke.
He instantly received backlash from a couple of pups. "That's not fair!" Everest objected.
"Yeah! How come Zuma gets to leave!" Skye added
"Skye..."
"I know we're dating but I can still be annoyed. If anything I should get extra privileges." Skye said.
Rubble jumped in when she brought up unfairness. "Hey hey hey! Just because you're dating doesn't mean you get special privileges. You should equal like everyone else!" Rubble objected.
"He's right." Everest agreed.
Skye looked at Everest with betrayed eyes. "Oh don't complain. You did the exact same thing to Rocky!" Everest said.
Rocky looked at the three argue while Chase and Marshall played tug of war.
Marshall was a little concerned at the state of the pups. "What if Rocky does come crawling back?" Marshall asked letting go of the rope making Chase fall onto his back.
"Ow!" He grunted.
"Sorry, if he does come back how will you get the other pups?" Marshall finished.
"I know I said I'll let Rocky lead but I'm still making sure everyone is fine. Either Rocky isn't fit for the job or the others will ask me to lead again. Win win either way." Chase explained. Marshall nodded showing he agreed with Chase's plan.
"Okay!" Rocky shouted. It had no effect. He walked into the middle and separated the pups by paw. "Okay! You guys can do whatever you want!" He exclaimed.
"Really?" Everest asked as her ears perked up.
"Go for it. Just get to the lookout alive." Rocky sighed.
Everest and Skye ran out leaving him and Rubble in the room. "Jeez you guys make this difficult." Rocky sighed and took a seat. "This is what Chase does and he doesn't complain." Rubble replied.
"Rocky scoffed. I can do this easy."
4 hours later
Marshall and Chase trotted inside laughing. "Oh boy that was funny." Marshall giggled.
Chase finished his laugh as he looked around. "Yeah...Where's everyone else?" He asks Rocky who was asleep.
Rocky woke up with a loud snore making Marshall snicker real quick. "Wa-Wah?" Rocky groaned.
"It's 6 and Marshall isn't back." Chase states.
Rocky looks around and notices he's right. "Can you go get him?" He asks.
Chase looks at him with a confused face. "Why? You're the leader."
Rocky groaned he was beyond annoyed. "I wasn't even feeling tired why did I fall asleep?" He questioned himself.
"Maybe because you were tired of dealing with the pups." Chase suggested.
Rocky didn't heed his statement and walked out the lookout. An familiar ring tone blasted from the top of the lookout. The 3 remaining pups ran up stairs. "Ryder sir?" Chase asked.
"Where's everyone else?" He asked.
Chase was a little nervous to tell him what he had done. "I uh...I let Rocky lead the pups since he had some things to say. D-don't worry though because I know where every single pup is." Chase assured everything and everyone was alright. Ryder nodded. "Okay, make sure nobody gets hurt." He added.
"I will." Chase replied.
"How much longer till you reach barkingburg?" Rubble asks.
Ryder looked up real quick. "7 more hours." Ryder said.
Rubble was surprised by the long wait. Just then Chase's pup tag beeped. "Hey umm Chase...I don't think I'm cut out for this. I can find Zuma, Skye, or Everest. *sigh*"
"Ope, looks like Rocky wasn't cut out for it." Chase chuckled.
"Alrighty, see ya!" Ryder said before hanging up.
"Let's go get the others. Nice long walk." Chase said.
Marshall and Rubble didn't object.
"Rocky almost turned the paw patrol into free for all." Rubble joked.
"Yeah." Marshall agreed.
Rubble looked at Chase. "How do you plan on finding Zuma?"
"The beach with Ella probably." Chase said.
"So you don't know where he actually is?" Rubble asked.
"Nope, how would I know that. I just know the places he could be. Only ones I'm not sure are Everest and Tracker for obvious reasons." Chase replied.
"It's funny how everyone thought you and Everest were going to be the first couple." Rubble chuckled.
"Nope, I was just being nice because she was new at the time. Marshall is the one who really liked her." Chase replies.
"I'm pretty sure the Christmas ball just sped things up with Rocky, Skye, You, Everest, Zuma and Ella. Me and Chase the single guys!" Rubble laughed.
"And Tuck." Chase added.
The next day
Ryder had on a suit and sat down with a briefcase. Behind him was a bunch of people and some fans. On his right was Sweetie and the Princess who was embarrassed to be here. "Alright, Ryder Hall, you have a request to Pardon Sweetie from her house arrest.." The judge said.
Ryder nodded.
"And Jonathon Smith you want me to ignore the pardon." The man nodded.
"Uh huh, Ryder care to explain to me why you want sweetie pardoned?" The judge asks.
"Alright, I'm not sure if any of you know but I'm the head of a team known as the PAW Patrol." He said and grabs some pictures of the pups and lookout. "We operate in Adventure Bay and we help with multiple things. Our police department isn't the greatest since it was just made, we have a big issue now. A thief who goes by the name 'Gasket' is on a rampage. She has stolen over a million dollars worth of stuff. Banks to small businesses." Ryder explained.
"And sweetie has to do with this how?"
"My team finally has a lead. I'm going to be forming a smaller team with sweetie and two other leads for information. They with be watched 24/7 by our police member." Ryder explained.
"This is a horrible idea ma'am. Sweetie is quite Literally unpredictable. They could lose track of her at any moment." The man said.
Ryder decided to use that against him. "Which is why she's so valuable and a big asset. She might know a thing or two about being unpredictable. Gasket hasn't left a clue until now and we need to capitalize on it." Ryder said. He realized he was falling out of character.
"Ryder Hall, you seem quite desperate for this." The judge asked.
"*sigh* We are quite desperate for this. She's been at this for 6 months going on 7 and people of Adventure Bay can't even celebrate holidays without being worried." Ryder said.
"Alright, you can take sweetie on the condition that we get a check up every week seeing that you've made some progress and sweeties hasn't ran off." The judge said.
Ryder nodded and walked outside the building with the princess and sweetie. "Faster than I expected." Ryder said letting a huge sigh of relief. An angry German Shepherd walked past them.
The princess took sweetie to the side. "I'm not playing these games anymore. If you try to do anything I swear I will... you'll see." The princess said not thinking of any way to punish her. "Look, I'll be on my best behavior. Maybe check out some things." Sweeties said with a grin.
"That doesn't sound promising at all. Look just do what they say." The princess said. Sweeties nodded knowing that she'll be getting some hate the first couple of days. It's understandable. They headed back towards Ryder. "I'll get going tomorrow. Who knows how long it'll be until we catch Gasket. Let's you guys get your last day together until our adventure." Ryder said as he walks away.
Sweetie and the Princess looked at eachother. "Wanna get some ice cream?" The princess asks. Sweetie nodded.
4 dogs sat in a cell playing a game called sequence. Gifted by an unknown person. They were in foggy bottom. Also known as Adventure Bay's rough cousin. Everything there was a lot more rugged and dangerous. "Dwayne! Hubcap!" A guard called out.
"You guys are lucky that we have to go do our duties. See you later!" Dwayne said as they walked out. Nobody really messed with the two since they help out basically everyone. The information they knew about the inmates was scary and crazy. "Only 4 more years on our sentence..." Hubcap said.
"It's only been 6 months. The PAW Patrol and Gasket will probably be the only people I despise for life." Dwayne said remembering the fateful night of the Christmas ball. Hubcap shrugged.
They noticed they were heading towards the release room. "Why are we here?" Hubcap asked.
The guard closed the door. "I understand that you were brought in here by the Paw Patrol." He said.
Dwaynes blood started to people. "Yeah." Hubcap replied.
"Recently the head Ryder came to us with a proposal. You two help them catch Gasket, we'll pardon you off of you're 4 years in prison." The guard said.
The two life long friends looked to each other. "No..." Dwayne Said.
"B-but we can leave this place! No I'm not going to do this with you right now. I'm in 100% I can't wait to see Gasket pleading for mercy." Hubcap agreed looking at Dwayne who has betrayed eyes.
"Why?"
"Dude! They are giving us a second chance at life and you say no because you're butthurt?" Hubcap asks in amazement. He knew Dwayne wasn't the brightest but oh boy that surprised him.
Dwayne huffed. "Fine...but I won't like it..." he said like an angry little child. Hubcap was pleased with his answer. "Then enjoy it... when do we leave?" Hubcap asked.
"Slow it cowboy, the conditions are that obviously so committing acts of crime, you are fine with being watched 24/7 by Officer Chase, and tagging along with Sweetie of Barkingburg." The guard said.
Hubcap instantly spoke. "Deal!"
"You two are free to leave." The guard said escorting them back.
Hubcap had a smile on his face the entire time. "Due we're leaving." He whispered.
"Eh, I was starting to enjoy it here." Dwayne objected. Hubcap wasn't going to let Dwayne ruin the happy mood he is in.
Gasket grabbed a phone and went to a website. She typed in some stuff and soon she was live-streaming. The title was Kidnapping a paw patrol member
She gave herself 30 minutes and people started pouring in. Comments were confused and interested at the same time. Then everyone started panicking when she showed herself in front of the lookout. One of the viewers was a paw patrol fanboy aka Alex. He rushed downstairs to call the sleeping pups.
Rocky groaned and looked at a clock. "Who's calling at 2:30?" He mumbled to himself.
"Chase! Chase I- I don't know how to explain but someone is at the lookout!" Alex yelled through the phone.

Just then Rocky felt something quickly wrap around his neck. He started to use everything he was taught. Which was nothing. He managed to break free of the grasp. He ran for the light but he felt a truck like object hit him. The lights turned on revealing Chase and Marshall. Chase was quick to act while Marshall still in shock.
Chase attempted to grab onto the intruder but missed miserably. He soon realized it was Gasket and it was now or never to stop her. He went for another jump and made sure he didn't miss. "Oh Chase, course you'd be the first one to save you're friend." He ignored her attempted joke and focused on restraining her.
"Come in give it to me big boy." Gasket teased throwing Chase off a little. She barely managed to push him off. It wasn't any use since Rocky had latched onto her paw with his jaw. She yelped in pain before trying to bite him back. Luckily Marshall had came to help and wrapped his paw around her neck. Chase watched as 6 months of work was finally coming to an end. Then he saw a very familiar object fall onto the ground without a pin. He shut his eyes and turned away. After a loud bang he turned back to finish off Gasket. Marshall and Rocky were trying to find out what just happened. Gasket reached the door but was once again stopped by Chase. This time she was don't with these game. A claw attached to Chases forepaw. Chase was extremely vulnerable so he decided to bite down into her muzzle. Gasket whined thinking she was done.
A heavy black boot kicked Chase off and picked up Gasket. Chase had the wind knocked out of him.
All of the pups recuperate in the living room. Marshall was being tended by Everest and Rocky was being tended by Skye. The pros of having a girlfriend.
Chase had a serious call to make...in the morning.
