"Ooh… A lot of pinwheels in this world." Maiko said.
"Not just pinwheels. Wind turbines as well." Akira said.
"So we're getting that this guy's theme is wind." Tatsuya said.
"Seems like it. Maybe he wished that he could fly or something." Ayase said.
"Can't say I blame him. I mean, what human being wouldn't want to feel the air rushing against them?" Tsubaki asked.
"Yeah, that's something everyone wishes they can do." David said.
"Speak for yourself, you can fly." Kazuma said.
"Only when I'm in Burst Mode. Other than that...No, I can't." David said.
"Not to mention Burst Mode tends to exhaust a lot of energy as a drawback for being so powerful." Sachiko said. "That's how Cheetah was able to exploit it in KOF."
"Yeah, but I wasn't too mad about it. I still had a good time there nonetheless." David said.
"Anyway, enough about that for now. What can you say about this world, Kego?" Kita asked.
"Well, there sure are a lot of devices used for channeling wind here. Maybe this guy is trying to become a pilot." Kego said. "Only way to know for sure is to reach the end."
As soon as the class got to the end of the zone, they were treated to a vision of a young man named Haoyu Chang, who tossed a paper airplane and watched it fly, inspiring him to make an aircraft of his own. He reaches his lab and attaches several things to his bike to keep it in the air, but nothing seems to work. Frustrated by his constant failures, he finds himself turning into an airplane like monster.
"Yeesh… Talk about getting over engrossed in your work." Kego said.
"More like obsession." David said. "This guy is overcomplicating himself so much he's forgotten to keep himself in check."
"Well, guess we gotta calm this guy down, then." Kego said.
The group duked it out against the transformed Haoyu before pulling together and managing to belt in a win.
"Whew… Thanks. I needed that." Haoyu said.
"Anytime, pal. Look, I understand how passionate you are, but you can't go for the most complex right out of the gate. You'll just wear yourself out." Kego said.
"Yeah, I, uh… Kind of found that out the hard way." Haoyu said.
"If it's your first one, I think you should just… You know, start simple and build further works up from there." Sachiko said.
"Yeah… I knew what I wanted from the start. I was just too stubborn to listen to myself." Haoyu said. He got back to work on his airplane model, working on it for several days before he opened up his garage with a plane built around his bike. He charges up the tarmac before he takes off into the air, soaring the sky.
"Heh. He's a good kid." Kazuma said.
"Indeed. There is nothing wrong with having ambitions, as long as you realize that each big accomplishment is to be taken with small steps." Balan said.
"Yes. If you try to tackle everything at once, you'll only wear yourself out." Eri said.
"The biggest of tasks are better accomplished by breaking them down into smaller steps." Kita said. "Learn to tackle one thing at a time."
"That's right. You need to learn to take things in small steps before you take big leaps." Balan said.
