DOORWAYS
When one door closes, another one opens. If he's honest with himself, Danny isn't sure if this is a door he wants to walk through.
If he walks through this door, if he accepts this opportunity, he's also accepting all the unknowns that come with it. He's accepting the fact that more weight will be added to his shoulders. He may not have as much time to spend with his family. He may have to deal with things that he's not prepared for.
But what else would be new?
Sam told him to look at the positive. It would give him the chance to do so much more than he can do now. It would be scary, but not as scary as it would be if someone else did it instead.
"I accept." Danny speaks up, looking Clockwork dead in the eyes.
"I knew you would, your liege."
