Chapter 5: Urges

Hinata practically purred snuggled into Yamaguchi's warm embrace. They didn't have practice for the day and were planning on using some of the money that they each had been saving up in their bank accounts for the day.

They were told to rest before the nationals and for once Hinata was going to listen to that advice. Kageyama had been on edge since his return from the youth japan training camp pushing Hinata into training even more so than usual.

First, he double-checked their pre-packed bags because they had to leave the next morning for nationals. The flame-haired omega finally wiggled out of the hold his mate had on him and sprung out of bed to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth he slunk downstairs to cook breakfast, still messy haired and in his pajamas. His mates hadn't had a good look at the clothing since he had been the first one in bed after showering the night prior.

His mothers had gotten the little middle blocker a few things from the omega line at some clothing stores. His omega mother was insisting that Shoyo should be embracing his omega sensuality and his birthmother just thought he looked cute in the frills and laces the clothes offered.

Hinata had been a bit intimidated wearing the clothing but sucked it up and wore one of the first sleepwear outfits his mothers had bought him. It was cute, a short babydoll dress decorated with fluffy edges and glittering night stars on the deep blue fabric. Even he admitted he looked adorable in it and it was that same thought that pushed him to hide under the covers of their bed and feign sleep when his mates arrived.

Though he swallowed down some courage and settled on wearing it till his mates woke for the day. Arms wrapped around him and a muffled voiced and sleepy Yamaguchi held his omega tightly.

"Hina we were supposed to cook breakfast together." His voice was muffled and deep making Hinata's stomach flutter but the omega tried to cover his blush by focusing on the food before him.

"You looked like you needed some more sleep, I don't mind cooking for you all," Hinata spoke softly and felt his mate hum and bury his face in his collared neck. Hinata heard more shuffling and could distantly hear the coffee maker beep on.

The omega was fighting his flight instinct now knowing Tsukishima the morning zombie was awake. Neither of them minded he didn't greet them. The blonde alpha was not a morning person and very non-verbal when first waking up.

The last shuffling of feet though is what had Hinata nervous, the choaking coming from the kitchen doorway immediately notified Hinata, Kageyama was awake and aware of his change in attire.

"What the hell are you wearing!" Kageyama was practically yelling and Tsukishima who was now coughing on coffee must have also finally noticed. Yamaguchi pulled back and looked over his mate before humming and kissing the omegas fluffy head.

"You look cute, very snuggle-worthy." The beta only cuddled their mate more snugly while their two alphas tried to not swallow their tongues. It was true though the small slim teen looked very cute with his bed head and soft babydoll on.

"For your information Bakeyama, my mother's bought me some things to celebrate me becoming an official omega." The short mate stuck his tongue out at his mate but the flush on his cheeks gave him away.

"Do you have more?" Everyone turned to a brightly blushing Tsukishima who was daringly staring down his mate's body. Yamaguchi snickered and cooed to his little mate while running his hands up and down his growing body.

"If you don't I'd be happy to get you more Hina." Hinata blushed at Yamaguchi's words and realized at least two of his mates enjoyed the look of the omega in the clothing. Though Kageyama's blue gaze was still roaming the omega so maybe they all had a thing for Hinata in the omega line of clothing.

Shoyo finished cooking and set about serving the food while the mess was swiftly cleaned up and the table set. Hinata shifted a bit ignoring the eyes and dug into his food. He finished first while his mates had been distracted looking at him and allowed Hinata the first to claim to a shower.

They had agreed to be ready by eleven that day and Hinata had everything planned out. He knew his mates well enough by now to plan perfect date moments with each of them in mind.

The flame-haired Omega was embracing the more effeminate instincts that now roamed through his body. His quick trip home had been more about trying to ask his mother's advice on how to deal with his more submissive instincts in the face of his mates. Kageyama and Tsukishima were not the only ones affected by the neck licking.

When Kageyama and Tsukishima had licked and nipped at his neck he had melted and thank goodness Yamaguchi was there or he would have been begging for their bond bites. He knew none of them were quite ready for that but the urges were there now.

Hinata focused back on his task fixing his clothing and slightly touching up his makeup, he had hidden away in his heat room to get ready. He really liked the clothes other omegas had worn and had always been envious of the fluidity they wore clothes in.

Sure he wore plain clothes when training but sometimes he just wanted to look cute. Hinata smiled at himself in the bathroom mirror and slipped out of the room into the living room awaiting his mates.

Yamaguchi arrived first and Hinata blushed to see his mate dressed so differently. He layered his eyes with eyeliner and was possibly wearing painted-on tight leather pants tucked into long leather boots. A plain black tank top was tucked into the pants with a single silver belt cinching his waist. Hinata flushed as his mate slipped on a leather jacket that looked well worn. Hinata was eyeing his green-hued hair that was pushed to the side to hang over half his face and adored the freckles on his mate's cheeks.

"Yum." Hinata blinked realizing he said that out loud and blushed. Yamaguchi hadn't heard him but Hinata had no time to be embarrassed as their two grumpy alphas came into the room next.

Tsukishima was in black slacks that still emphasized his long legs. A nice button-up shirt of black and white polka dots decorated the fabric and he pulled on a sleek suit jacket to get over it all. Hinata could even spot little moon cufflinks in the sleeves of Tsukishima's jacket.

Kageyama should just honestly consider being a model instead of a professional volleyball player. He was in the tightest fit of distressed skinny jeans he had ever seen the teen wear. A blueberry knit sweater fell over his torso and it just made his eyes pop.

Hinata had to stop himself from drooling at the sight of all three of them.

Though they each hungrily eyed their omega's little number.

Hinata was in a high-waisted pleated plaid red and black skirt that sinched at the waist. His top was a lacy black that was tucked into the skirt and a short fluffy jacket covered his arms. All three of their eyes lingered in the long black thigh high stockings he wore though. Hinata was even wearing ankle boots and looked utterly adorable. They caught a hint of smokey redlining his honey eyes and eyeliner made his gaze even sharper. Hit black scent suppression collar looked like it was meant for the outfit.

They all looked dressed to impress and impress they did.

"Yay, let's go!" Hinata bubbled up excited and ran out of the room with his mates chasing after him.

Hinata shuffled his small group into a cozy library café he had found. Tsukishima seemed pleased the four were settled down and ordered their drinks and snacks while Tsukishima eagerly looked around the room.

Hinata and Yamaguchi were hiding their giggles at his eager expression and Kageyama laid his arm around Hinata's shoulders once they all settled down. The pre-alpha was not liking how others in the café were eyeing his mates but he was the only one able to comfortably wrap his arm around their omega at the table.

"I don't like people staring at you guys. It's rude." Kageyama was practically vibrating with annoyance glaring at anyone who had the nerve to stare too long at any of his mates. He wished he had been able to get a booth in one of the corners to hide his mates away a bit better.

Their drinks and snacks delivered soon after had him easing down a bit. Kei was enthralled as he eager talked about the aesthetic of the place and praised the beta and omega for finding it.

Tsukishima practically melted eating the soft spongey strawberry cake he ordered and his mates all found it adorable how he seemed so at ease. This cuteness kept Kageyama in check from spoiling their day.

They chatted quietly amongst themselves until they finished their sweets and drinks and Hinata led the group away to the next location.

The group was led into an old-style movie theater where classic monster movies were promised to play and Yamaguchi almost squealed. Hinata laughed as he was tugged into the venue tickets in hand both their alphas following behind bemused by their betas excited chirps. Though Kageyama was tugging along an amused Tsukishima when the starry-eyed ticket taker began chatting up the cheerful omega and exited beta. The younger alpha was not having it though and practically hovered around his mates by the now frightened ticket taker.

It was a movie matinee of the wolfman and Tadashi was enthralled himself This time it was Tsukishima and Kageyama snickering at their well-lain plan. Their beta had an open love for the classic films and on their date out it was only right that they cater to this love.

The movie ended sooner than Yamaguchi wanted but they had more places to be. Hinata was practically giddy leading the group to an amusement park and it was no wonder as Kageyama's open wonderment shone.

Hinata knew how Kageyama had never had an opportunity to go to a lot of places due to his involvement in volleyball. What's more, he had never had people to go with but now he had mates who were happy to see him happy and living life out of solitude.

Tsukishima had a slight fear of the larger roller coasters so Hinata hung back with him, as he was too short for a few of them. Though Hinata would bully the taller of them to win him stuffed toys while waiting. Hinata's eyes glimmered and he giggled as he was handed over a large stuffed bunny.

The omega purred and happily cuddled into his silently pleased alphas side. Tsukishima tucked his omega into his side while they waited for Tadashi and Tobio.

Hinata snickered pointing up to a terrified-looking Kageyama clinging to a giggling Tadashi in the Ferris wheel the blueberry boy had wanted to ride.

"Tobio looks kinda cute when he's scared." Hinata snorted and Tsukishima quirked a brow.

"He's not the only one." Hinata jolted as he was lifted high up and let out a surprised laugh as he was settled onto his mate's shoulders. Hinata squirmed trying to keep himself covered. Tsukishima was blushing because he got an eyeful of red silky panties his mate wore under his skirt.

He had momentarily forgotten about the skirt and was more than happy to be reminded. His hands gripped the nice plump thighs that wrapped around his head and were smacked in the face with the large pink bunny he had won the omega.

"Sorry," Hinata mumbled as Tsukishima fixed his glasses and started walking back to their mates. They could see the Ferris wheel was starting to descend and Hinata let out another surprised laugh pointing up at their mates on the ride.

Tsukishima looked up to spot Yamaguchi trying to soothe his panicked mate by kissing the blue-eyed alpha on the cheek. Kageyama looked stunned into calmness though and Hinata snickered. The pair watched the duo descend back onto solid ground.

Yamaguchi tugged over a stunned Kageyama and they both smiled warmly seeing Tsukishima carrying their omega who was clutching an overly large bunny. Kageyama tensed as a gust of wind blew by and the back of his mate's skirt flew up making Hinata panic to cover his exposed rear and flail off Tsukishima's shoulders.

Kageyama was there though catching his small mate princess style but flashing Hinata's panties to the now red-faced Yamaguchi. Kageyama was firmly gripping the silky softness of Hinata's buoyant ass and looked to be nearly steaming from his ears.

"My hero." Hinata snickered at his red-faced mate and took this moment to kiss Kageyama fully on his lips. It was quick and swift but Kageyama was chasing those soft lips as they pulled away from his own. He got a taste of his mate and he wanted more. It was their first kiss and it was as natural as their friendship had been for one another. Like breathing or their fighting, it was just them.

"Down boy." The flame-haired omega wiggled in his hold and was let down before bounding over to Yamaguchi who easily caught Hinata, bunny, and all.

Kageyama let out a soft growl and that made all his mates look to the blue-eyed alpha who was hazy-eyed and watching his mates with intensity. He huffed and was between his beta and Omega in a blink of an eye sniffing them and nosing at Hinata's collar. Kageyama crooned and his head popped up eyeing his towering mate Tsukishima who was standing off to the side stiffly.

Finally, the last of their little family had hit his second puberty.

Tsukishima came close so his mate could scent him and then wild blue eyes spotted others looking at what was his. Kageyama growled lowly under his breath and started pulling and tugging his mates toward the exit. With ease, he lifted Hinata and the omega wrapped his legs around his blue-eyed mate and clung to him with only a stuffed bunny between them. Kageyama looped his arms through Tsukishima's and Yamaguchi till they locked with his own that held Hinata to him.

They had to return to their den now or Kageyama's instincts would be unhappy.

Kageyama crooned at his little omega hovering over his cleaned small mate. Hinata had showered and Tsukishima had helped the other alpha shower after their little outing. The blonde was changing in the room under the territorial gaze of Kageyama who was happily laying over their omega saturating him in the blue-eyed alphas scent.

Tadashi stepped out of the shower dressed for bed and his eyes spotted his two mates and he whistled at their omega.

"Looking like that it's no wonder he got all hormonal." Yamaguchi snorted and looked over the milky skin of his little mate. Hinata was in a soft yellow nightgown that hit him mid-thigh. It looked frilly and was dangerously close to showing off more delicious skin but Kageyama was over him shirtless and wearing only loose soft sweats pressing the omega down on their large bed.

"He's been very handsy with our little shrimp. I think it's cause he can't get his full scent because of the collar. It was why I was so clingy with Hinata during my first rut." Tsukishima commented buttoning up his charcoal nightshirt and slipping into the large bed.

Yamaguchi gave a soft hum slipping on some mint green shorts and an oversized shirt slipping into the other side of the bed. Hinata was trying to remember how to form words as his mind was preening at his alpha who drowned him in his scent. His own instincts were purring in pleasure at his alpha lavishing him with attention.

Hinata was lifted and placed between his mates a bit confused until Kageyama practically chittered at their other mates. Tsukishima blushed and hid under the blanket but Yamaguchi used this opportunity to tease his mate by grabbing their blitzed-out omega and crooning at their alpha while rubbing against the omega who mewled in enjoyment.

Tsukishima shot out of the blanket and looked at his mates like Kageyama was. Both alphas watched them with such intensity and Hinata was putty after being stimulated so well. Yamaguchi nipped at Hinata's collar obviously affected by the lingering pheromones Kageyama was spreading around the room. His freckled hand grazed along the creamy thighs of his Hinata who was a mess of noises.

Then Tadashi gave Hinata a loud wet kiss on his flushed cheek and the duo started giggling immediately breaking any tension that had been building up. Kageyama huffed but settled his mates down and settled atop Hinata who crooned to him and ran his soft hands through his hair.

Body pinning his omega and arms wrapped around his alpha and beta eased the blue-eyed teen till he fell asleep.

Kageyama awoke in the early morning hours and felt hot all over a throbbing ache in his body yearned for his mates that he was clutching. Though waking up to find his omega practically panting from want was not what the alpha had expected.

Hinata was asleep but the alpha knew his own pheromones must have been torturing his omega who mewled softly in his dreams squirming beneath him.

Tobio sat up and nearly salivated as Hinata's nightgown had been pushed up and his soft plush body was framed by white boyshorts decorated in lemons. Hinata's scent was muted by his collar but Kageyama wished to see slick soaking his mate's panties and ached to taste it. His inner alpha was groaning in misery that his omega wasn't in heat right now.

He could practically imagine his little omega mewling and whimpering under him as he thrust into his slicked-up body. A low rumbling broke Kageyama out of his thoughts and Tsukishima bleary-eyed with sleep woke up. Their eyes caught each other and Kageyama was captivated.

His pheromones seemed to have an effect on all his mates it seemed and Tsukishima was there like the bond between them just clicked and Kageyama jerked out of bed catapulting over and crashing to the ground waking up all his mates.

"Kaggy you okay?" Hinata was sleepily rubbing his eyes but searching for his mate in the still-dark room and their bond just solidified between the freak duo. Yamaguchi had turned on the lamp nearest to him and worriedly hurried to the sprawled alpha who was doing his best to push away his hormones. Though The beta looked just as delicious and the bond clicked again for the alpha.

Kageyama blushed bright red and bolted for the door to the bathroom grabbing a random assortment of his clothes and taking a terribly cold shower.

Hinata shuddered after he left feeling that connection that bond between all his mates finally flow and purred in contentment. His inner omega was pleased with its mates and pushing the omega to make the bond cement. Though it was the outer person who had control and he was not ready.

Tsukishima was the next to scramble away with clothes going to the second shower. Hinata pouted but he tugged along a sleepy Tadashi so the two could bathe together in the secret bathroom of his heat room. They had emotionally stunted alphas and Hinata was not someone who would let that drag him down.

Shoyo twittered about excitedly in the large gym. Even though he had lost his shoes and had not had an opportunity to practice with Kageyama, Hinata was sure they would be fine. It wasn't like he was the type to give up anyways, nor was his blue-eyed mate one to give up either.

Though thanks to both Kiyoko and a great catch by Yaichi his shoes were returned to him in a snap. The omega was practically glowing with happiness upon receiving his shoes. Despite Yamaguchi's misplaced guilt for losing them in the first place.

It took a bit of time through the game against Tsubakihara, Karasuno got into their grove in no time. Showings of Hinata's honed hard work were starting to shine through in the match as Hinata began the process of learning to place himself when receiving.

Though the process to get there was a bit embarrassing, but Daichi, Tanaka, and Noya were all there as support. It helped Kageyama to get his bearings as he had needed to opportunity to both sync up with Hinata and get a handle on how the court was spaced. Though the moment Kageyama got a hold of everything and they pushed their first quick it was a moment for everyone on the Karasuno team to take a breath.

"Sorry to keep you all waiting." It was simple and so very much Kageyama.

For Hinata being an omega was secondary to his dream as he poured everything into it. So when he saved his first ball by it smacking into his chest he could feel new life begin to flow underneath his skin. The never-ending hunger he had for the sport was beginning to fall deeper into his soul and he hadn't even begun to realize it yet.

New life was breathing through the mates as it was. When Kageyama had been forced into a first touch the alpha relied on his partner Tsukishima to set for them. It was a show of trust that none other than his mates deserved. Tsukishima did not let his mate down either, he may not have been as good as Kageyama but he was no slouch at doing a task set by his mate.

It was a swift game but one that proved Karasuno did not get to where they were by a fluke. They were there because they had the skill and potential and amplified their abilities to be on par with others.

The Karasuno of today was no longer the flightless crows.

Hinata had roamed the area with Yamaguchi at his side happily making small purchases during their break. Shoyo had even dragged his beta over to watch the small omegas mentor during his game. Though Yamaguchi always wondered how exactly the friendship between the two formed. He was also grateful his mate was not as bipolar as the alpha Bokuto. Though the way the two bonded Yamaguchi doubted he would escape the ace in the future. His omega was half smitten with the man, even if they barely knew one another. The beta was observant of all his mates and their...friendships.

Though that thought pushed Yamaguchi to protectively put his arm around his little mate. He realized that Akaashi and Hinata were the only omegas in the gymnasium and people practically followed them both. Hinata was a bright ball of sunshine that drew eyes to him and it made the beta a bit possessive of his mate. It was hard to fight against to want in his gut when it came to his small mate.

Even with his lesser instincts, there was still the underline urge to claim their omega. It was far too early to do any of that but the urges were still there and there was no escaping that. Though when Bokuto swiftly beat the other team and tugged along Akaashi to meet Hinata Yamaguchi felt a little bit at ease.

The large alpha practically radiated friendliness and Akaashi was a soothing calmness. Though Tadashi's eyes could not help but flicker back and forth from the single bite on Akaashi's neck. It was rare for an omega to be bonded to only one person though if the omega insisted on following Bokuto it would probably turn away other prospective interests. He immediately knew by the sight alone that the pair before him were rejected by their two other original den members. Yamaguchi really wanted to get to know them, if not for Hinata but because of what they could become.

Tadashi let go of Hinata who immediately bound onto the quiet raven-haired omegas arms and Yamaguchi and Bokuto warmed at the soft smile Akaashi gave to the smaller omega. The pair practically purred and hugged and Yamaguchi had to wonder when did Hinata get close to the quiet setter. He had only ever seen the teen bubble and burst around the imposing alpha to his side. It seemed his mates interest in the duo had more to do than just with volleyball and some of that might just be instinct itself.

For Hinata though it was an instinct that was nurtured during their nights in training camp together. As two of the only omega in the third gym and each having their own issues with their mates...tendencies they found a kinship. It was nothing so grand but it was easy to develop and a warm feeling for them to share. Plus they had each other backs against the notorious flirt Kuroo. Kenma his mate warned them both about him and gave them both permission to quote 'smack the stupid out of him.' Neither omega has hit him but they were at a disadvantage as both Kei and Kotaro liked Tetsuro and really wanted their mates to like him so they could merge dens.

So, the omegas formed a bond to fight off the flirt until Kenma gave the go-ahead, not Kuroo. The omegas were all aware of who exactly ran the Nekoma team's main den. Kenma and Yaku, no matter what Kuroo and Lev thought. Though none of their alphas seemed to get the memo, this information was only known through the omegas as they all shared this information in their group chat. Even Yamaguchi was not privy to sensitive information.

All too soon Hinata was waving goodbye and double-checking to ensure Bokuto and Akaashi had his number saved in their phones. The flame-haired omega tugged along his soft beta back to their team only to be stopped by another short omega in their path. All they did was stare at one another...well until Kageyama came into the vicinity.

Then the strange omega began to flirt with Hinata's and Yamaguchi's pretty mate.

Hinata felt his hackles rising at this white-haired omega who was openly flirting with his blue-eyed mate. The challenge and daring the omega drew out was making his teeth ache and the flame-haired teen had to fight off a low growl threatening to ripple out.

Jealousy burned in Hinata's gut for a breath as even he had not been daring enough to openly flirt with his mate like that. His omega was angered that someone dare encroach on one of his mates when he had yet to bond him. Hinata shook off the flaring emotion and the omegas gazes met once Kageyama's intention focused between his two mates in the distance and the shirt he was trying to buy.

Hinata and the strange omega stared silently at one another. The white-haired omega was almost challenging as if saying he was better for the alpha behind him and Hinata did not like that one bit. They spoke briefly and the smug smirk from the strange teen pissed off Hinata to the fullest.

No, he fucking hated this other omega for sure.

"Korai our game is starting soon we have to go." A voice of a tall handsome teen wearing the same jersey as the omega came to collect the white-haired teen. After a brief moment of words, the teen left with his teammate but Hinata's omega was stirred up in anger. He was almost ready to fucking 'anoint the throne' as one would say, had the other omega not left when he did. Kageyama would not have understood Hinata's intensity but it was there brimming around them and both the flame-haired omegas mates were only entranced by it.

Internally Shoyo was raging at the challenge the other boy was offering and Hinata was fighting the urge to get into a catfight over something that had not even happened. Kageyama bought his shirt and escorted his mates back to their team. Yamaguchi was conversing with the omega who seemed quieter than usual.

When they returned though Hinata's gaze was focused on Korai's team. The omega truly was a sight to behold on the court and Hinata bolted up to trudge off for a better look at the teen's skill.

Moving to the court Hinata's gaze was focused and his pride was wounded. He was not good enough to beat him but the hunger to win against this omega was twisting in his gut. Shoyo's insanity for volleyball broadened at that moment and he had to bow in thanks to the omega who drew it out of him. Even if he didn't like how the teen looked at his mate his respect for him in volleyball was a whole different matter.

That did not mean he would let Kageyama go to the teen though.

When Hinata returned to his team a twisted smile was etched into his expression.

"I'm...really glad I got to come here." Hinata shivered in anticipation of playing against all these great opponents and the team packed up to leave for the day.

Tomorrow they would face the crowd favorite Inarizaki and that was one step closer to this little giant.

Hinata couldn't wait.

Hinata sat silently, he was contemplative over everything as he focused on his thoughts. Putting theory into practice had proven to be difficult but Hinata was aimed to improve. His mind was tugged away from thoughts when Kageyama started dragging him to the bathroom.

"Dumbass, I told you it's the first year's turn for a bath." Hinata's gaze traveled up to Kageyama and the setter was surprised but the warm grip his omega had on him.

"You'll wait for me right, you want me to catch up with you. You...won't just choose something that's already at your level." Hinata was stiff and despite the embarrassment of his mate clinging to him in the hallway, and their senpai's sneakily peeking out of the shared room Kageyama's heart stuttered. His rut had still not completely passed and he was intently keyed into his omegas emotions when off court. It pleased him on a baser level.

He was a bit lost but preened a bit at the attention given ruffling his mate's fluffy locks. "I'll always wait for you, I'm your mate, and I'm sure Tsukishima and Yamaguchi would kill me if I dared leave our precious omega behind." Kageyama lifted the clingy omega and entered the changing room where Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were already dressed down in.

It took very little time for Hinata to come back to himself and he was a bit disoriented during the bath. When they returned to the shared room Hinata was still feeling off but pushed that feeling around being uncomfortable about the other omega getting close to his emotionally stunted alpha.

It bothered him more than he thought it would and for the first time his neck ached. He was craving his mate's bites so he could have them lay claim to him and they are bonded. The omega cursed himself internally realizing he was letting his instincts lead him by the nose. He liked his mates, they were all great guys but he was still unsure if it was genuine like or their hormones and nature driving them to one another.

Either way, Hinata wasn't sure if he minded or not yet but for now, he needed to sort himself out...After cuddles.

The Omega set about pushing their futons practically atop one another and tucked and pulled his mates where he wanted them to go. The small group of mates were in their own world not noticing the amused senpai's watching them. Yamaguchi was sandwiched between the two alphas and Hinata smiled pleased at the sight before plopping himself atop the beta to snuggle down for bed.

There were times the omega cursed his small size and this was not one of them. When the lights clicked off and Hinata was snuggled by the presence of his mates, he was no longer conflicted...too bad he couldn't convince his waking mind of that.

Hinata was happily buzzing around the court in excitement while Kageyama tried to wrangle him into warming up. The omega had been acting different today and it threw the setter off. Well...except when Hinata was momentarily distracted by seeing the Miya twins. The omega had thought his eyesight was leaving him and only Tsukishims insulting his intelligence proved to pop him out of acting dumb.

Kageyama's attention was drawn to the scent of another alpha behind him. He shook his head annoyed his instincts were still buzzing around.

"Tobio-Kun, how are ya doin?" Kageyama held back his annoyed huff and turned to face Atsumu. He had met the other setter while at training camp and found the other alpha set his instincts off in an alarming way. When the other alphas eyes went past him and drank down the image of his mate, his omega it made his stomach twist painfully.

He eyed the two-tone-haired alpha who seemed to be thinking heavily when looking at his little idiot.

He couldn't let it show through. Was he nervous? Was he jealous? He didn't know but he knew he didn't like the feeling.

"Atsumu san, how are you doing today?" Kageyama inclined his head fighting against his urge to growl at the alpha who was eyeing his mate a touch too long.

"I'll be fine so long as I play against people who don't choke under the pressure of a match." He looked right at the flame-haired omega who frowned and looked behind him only to realize the jackass was referring to him.

Kageyama kept a stoic expression but he didn't like the implication made. "I don't choke during games though."

Tsukishima and Yamaguchi kept out of the situation but both frowned at Atsumu who made references toward their mate.

"I can't say the same for Hinata though." Kageyama ignored the indignant huff of his mate and eyed the opposing alpha. "He's no pushover though, so you will have your hands full." Hinata brightened at his mate's words and practically chirped in happiness.

It was a flurry of moves when the match started.

Hinata burst into flight and jumped higher than he ever had in the past...then in his excitement forgot to spike the ball given.

Well, Kageyama was furious but both Miya twins eyed the omega strangely their gaze focused on the flame-haired teen being scolded.

Though when Hinata dashed out and finally scored a broad quick attack it left the entire gym in stunned silence for a brief moment. Both the Miya twins now had the sight of the omega pressed into their mindset. First impressions were proving to be peculiar when it came to the flame-haired teen.

Thanks to Tanaka's sister Saeko it kept their match from being tugged away by rythum.

Though that all stopped when the Twins delivered the freak quick right back to Karasuno. Kageyama and Hinata were both excited and insulted by the delivery of their gift. Tsukishima himself suddenly grew eager to face it, a part of him had always wanted to destroy his mate's long-loved attack.

The twins were pleased to have the omegas sight on them, even if it was for a petty reason as an annoyance. Hinata was eager to smack off the smug smirks from them though. His pride had been hurt and he didn't like the pleased gaze aimed his way.

Though he oddly wasn't really flustered by the situation, if they used their attack. Hinata and Kageyama were more than aware of its power and its weaknesses. Plus Hinata had more than just the freak quick to fall back on now.

Proving so by ensuring his next ball made contact with Atsumu's hand before it blazed out of the court. It practically made the dyed blonde teen purr in excitement. It only was overshadowed when Tsukishima blocked the Twins quickly, even if both Hinata and Kageyama's annoyed expressions landed on him next.

As a bit of revenge, Kageyama made his tall blonde mate reach higher to slam down a spike, making Tsukishima pout but their beta and omega preen at them both. So, Kageyama was immediately forgiven for making him at least look cool in front of their mates.

The game moved and Hinata even had a hand in stuffing one of the twins quickly making Osamu zero in on the teen. Osamu licked his lips eyeing the omega who was just as shocked at having stopped his attack. Hinata drew from experience learning from blockers he hated having to face to even his playing field.

Everything he learned he took in and filed it away. His mind working hard to categorize everything until finally, it was as it all just clicked.

Hinata lifted a ball from Aran on the opposite team and gave his first beautiful receive to Kageyama. Everyone was shocked and Kageyama withheld his praise, fearing this was a fluke.

Despite not getting the point and losing the second set Hinata showed his hunger for the game would not diminish due to any setbacks.

Hinata could hear a muffled word of 'rice' come from the other direction of the court. He would never understand why Osamu chose this moment to fall for the flame-haired teenager.

A rally back and for surged through the third round with Karasuno showing off what a true freak quick was. Nearly to the end even as Kageyama grew tired and flubbed a set only being saved thanks to Hinata's quick reflexes.

"Go ahead, complain," Kageyama spoke to his mate who only smiled wide and bright.

"Why? Give me the next toss too!" Hinata didn't know that at this moment he captured Atsumu's heart alongside his own mate Kageyama.

Kageyama though was fighting the urge to kiss his stupidly pretty mate and focus on his own hunger to win. In fact, all of Karasuno was doing the same as Kageyama for the young omega truly ignited a fire within them.

To the point that Kageyama would push to not lose to Hinata, even force himself into a place where he had to rise past it all to prove his own ability. Even Tsukishima pushed, despite being one who wanted some moment of glory, he needed to rely on his omega to have his back.

To put trust and faith in all that obsession and hunger that was settled in that small frame. When Hinata received the ball Tsukishima sent his way, Kei could admit at that moment he was falling for Hinata. For that raw passion and that endless obsession, for someone who was his opposite in every way.

The match continued and the rally sped up fast, quick and uncontrolled. So suffocating that a breath would slow you down until Hinata smiled softly and received the ball nice and high letting everyone awaked from the tunnel of darkness that had been encroaching on them.

With this thought, the moment of clarity came to Hinata.

He loved his mates enough to ensure they approached this with everything they had. Not just set out to take the final point but to encourage them to be better and grow from this moment. To take this and run with it, so they all win this together.

Though it gave their opponents breath as well and when the burst of speed came from the Miya twins aiming for a quick they were stopped.

While everyone on Karasuno's side was fallen over with exhaustion, Hinata and Kageyama were there to stop the ball and force it back onto the other side of the court.

Because they knew speed it was their weapon. They knew all its strengths and its weaknesses. With the final point taken Karasuno had beaten Inarizaki.

Tsukishima watched as his mates stopped the ball knowing this using what was once their own weakness as a weapon against someone who was just learning it. With this, the blonde alpha dropped to his knees exhausted while his beta moved over to catch him.

"I hate that I love those volleyball idiots," Tsukishima mutters making Yamaguchi laugh as he looked at the exhausted pair being surrounded by the team.

"I like that I love our volleyball idiots." Tadashi snicker at the pained expression on Tsukishima's face.

Even despite Hinata and Kageyama's childish fighting in the distance neither one would ever be able to deny their feelings for their idiots.

They did get Tsukiahima and Yamaguchi moving to their sides though when Kageyama aggressively pulled Hinata into a surprising kiss making the omega nearly faint from embarrassment.

When the team collected themselves to bow out and shake hands Hinata was stopped by Atsumu.

"Shoyo-Kun, I'll toss to ya one of these days." Hinata looked at the twin in confusion and Kageyama looked to the other alpha in annoyance. "Then after that, you'll have ta marry me." Atsumu winked and trudged off getting into a fight with his twin almost immediately because he was going to run off his 'rice'.

Hinata was silently focused on himself though pushing off anything else from his mind but the focus on his match. What he did and how he did it. His mates all saw it, the further fall of insanity for their omega for the love of volleyball.

It was difficult for his mates to get him to rest, but Hinata fell asleep ready because next, they would finally get to face, Nekoma.

The dumpster showdown would begin.
