Glen now knows who Mark is. Mark has to tell Steph. Will he tell her?

Chapter 5

Steph is at Vince's house, wondering what is going on. She heard rumors about Vince acting strange, or saying non-sense. She wonders what they are talking about. Vince didn't do anything strange or weird. He just enjoy the time he has with her. She tells about her work, about the kids. Speaking of the kids, they are watching a movie, at Vince's theater room. She doesn't want them to see her fight with him. She thought she might, sometimes when she goes, they always end up fighting. Steph hears knocking, Vince smiles wide.

"Steph, he's here"

"Who?" she ask

"Your future" Vince smiles

"What are you talking about?" she is getting mad now. She knew it, she is about to fight him again.

"Stephanie, meet Hunter" he says "He is the best guy, has a mansion, owns a business, he is super rich...he"

"Dad. Stop. No, I am not doing this" Steph shakes her head "We are going home"

"Steph, please listen to me. Hunter will give you a good life, the best life. You don't have to work at all, you can stay home and enjoy"

"I like my work dad, Actually I love it" she say "I already have a good life, No, A perfect life. I will not change it"

"Hunter here can pay for everything. He can buy you so much. He can buy you everything that you deserve"

"Enough!" she yells

"Stephanie, leave Mark, be with Hunter. Mark is just an ordinary guy. He didn't deserve you, and he still doesn't"

Hunter walks up to Steph and he opens a box. Inside there is a diamond ring, the diamond is big and the rings is really shiny. He kisses her cheek. "Marry me Steph. I will give you a perfect life. Your father already gave me his blessing"

"What the HELL!" she yells "Dad, I'm happily married. I love Mark, I LOVE HIM! I love him so much it hurts! I am not leaving Mark. He is everything to me. He is a great father, a great husband, a great man! I don't believe this. Kids, lets' go!"

"Steph, Mark won't be around for long...you need to think about your future"

"What the hell are you talking ABOUT!" she yells "I'm going to be with him till death do us part. I love him! Every time I think about losing him, my heart aches" Steph begins tearing up "You won't understand, you never liked him, and you never will. I'm going home."

Hunter stops her "But I can change that. Give me a chance, You can fall in love with me" He kisses her. She leans back and slaps him across the face.

"Don't ever touch me" she says "I belong to Mark" She grabs her bag, and waits for the kids. She tries to keep from crying. Her father always does this, always tells her to leave Mark, to get a divorce, to give other men a chance. She sees them say bye to Vince. She opens the door for them, and they are out. Vince shakes his head.

"Mark, is a demon, he is going to get killed, I don't want Steph to be alone" Vince whispers.

Steph is driving home carefully. She wipes the tears off her eyes. She can't believe it. She shakes her head, she really hates her father now. She is never going back to see him, ever.

"Mom, You okay?" Roman ask

"I'm fine. Your grandpa, was just being..." She stops "being mean"

"How come?"

"Um...He thinks I need a better job." she lies "But, I like my job. I'm not going anywhere"

"Good, everyone likes you"

Alexa nods "Yup, Others still say high to you too"

Steph nods "They sure do"

"He said something about dad did he?" ask Roman

"What...?"

"I heard, well most of it." Roman says "I notice that grandpa never looks at him, never gave him respect"

"Oh He...um...he is just old fashioned" she says "He never liked Mark? Because he isn't rich, like him. But I don't care. Mark gave me everything I ever wanted"

"I love dad" Roman says

"I love him too. So much!"

Alexa moves up "What are y'all talking about?"

"Nothing, Roman is being silly" Steph says and Alexa laughs while Roman rolls his eyes. Steph hears her phone ring. She sees that it's Mark. She smiles wide, he always brightens her day. He is the reason she is smiling. "Can you answer it Roman"

"Hey dad, what's up" he says "Oh we are on our way back"

Steph concentrates on the road while Roman is talking to Mark. She gasps when she sees a creature in front of them. She slams on her breaks, the truck stops inches from the creature. Roman went silent as he sees it too, Alexa eyes widen. "Hello? Roman? You okay?" Mark says through the phone. The creature wings grow, and it gets taller turns to a two headed demon. "What is that?" Steph ask. The demon slams the fist to the truck, bending it. They all yell, and Mark hears them.

"DAD HELP US!" Roman yells as the phone hangs up.

Mark dashes towards the road to Vince's house. He flies by fast until he sees the truck. He sees the demon, he swings his foot to kick it. He stands in front of the truck, uses his wings to protect him. His arms wide apart, daring him to attack. Steph gets off the truck along with the kids. She holds their hands, she runs away from the scene. Mark sees them running, and the demon flies past him to catch them. Mark tries to follow but another demon, grabs his leg. He swings him around, slamming him to the ground. Mark growls as he hit the ground. He needs to get to them. His eyes widen when Roman stops and fights the demon. "NO!" Mark yells.

Roman grabs a stick and swings at the demon. Roman tries for one head, then tries to the other. He had never seen a two headed monster, in real life. He swings it hitting it on his back. Alexa runs to him to help him out. She grabs a stick too. "I got your back Roman" He smiles and attack with Alexa behind him. Steph tries her best to stop, to get away from that demon. She notices the demon is having trouble catching up to them. She goes to help them too. They can distract the demon. Mark flaps his wings making a powerful swirl of wind, the demon flies up. Mark makes a sword and he stabs the demon in the heart. He drops the demon making him slam to the ground. Mark looks at the two headed demon. He is having trouble trying to hit one while trying to hit the other. Mark flies to him but gets kick really hard. He falls straight to the ground. He doesn't have time for demons, he has to help his family. His sees the demon, it looks normal, but fours arms. Mark doesn't really want to go through this again. He forms a sword with the lightning power, he yells as he slashes across the demon. That was easy, he looks around for more. Roman dodges one attack, and Alexa hits it in the head. Steph hits one of the heads, the demons get dizzy. He falls to his knees. They stand back, but are ready for anything. He starts yelling, as he did he grows bigger, he goes to one head, his skin starts hardening, He starts growing wings, he is massive. "He looks like a gorilla" Roman says.

The demon poounds his chest, he slams the ground, making it rumble. The three fall down, right as the ground breaks under them. He runs to them, and punches Roman. He sees it, moves arms to cover his chest. He is sent flying back. "ROMAN!" Steph yells. Mark turns his head to see his boy flying. His eyes widen, he has to finish this other demon fast. Alexa runs to where Roman lands. She tries to help him up. The gorilla demon is runningt to them. "Come on Roman get up!" yells Alexa. "He's coming" Steph runs and slides to trip it down. He rolls over but manages to get up. He glares at Steph, she tightens the grip of the stick Roman was using. He charges at her. "MOM!" Mark rips the arms out of the demon. He turns to see Steph right in front of that gorilla demon. He feels something stab his through the back. He falls down along with the demon. Steph starts running away, but he's too fast. The gorlla gets her and flies up high, he keeps going. He is grabbing her by the shoulders. She is losing breath the higher they went. Mark gets up slowly. "I have to save her! I have to SAVE HER! MY LOVE!" Lightening is building around him. He flies to catch up to the gorilla.

"You think are are stronger than me!" yells the demon "You are only human!"

Steph tries to kick him. "This human can fight!"

"You think you can hurt me" he laughs. He slides his finger down her face , he stops at her throat. "I can slice you open right here, and kill you"

"I dare YOU!" she smirks

"I can tear you apart"

"What are you waiting for"

He positions her to look at the ground. "Can you fly?" He drops her.

"NO!" Mark uses his wings to go faster. He is about to catch her, he is so close to her but the gorilla grabs her before he does. "NO! Leave her ALONE!"

"You are a demon. Why are you fighitng against your kind?"

"No. I'm not like you!" Mark yells "I'm devilman"

Steph tries to fight off the demon. She pokes the eye out. He yells in anger. Mark punches the gorilla, making him let go of Steph. He flies and catches her. He is flying away but yells as he felt his wing being torn apart from his back. He starts falling. Steph yells, trying to hang on to him. He tries to work his other wing, he did manage to fly a little. He felt a stab on his leg. He turns around to kick the demon. He slashes the face of the gorilla. The demon falls back. Mark sees the ground getting closer. He turns them around, Steph is on top, he uses his good wing to cover her. He hits the ground with impact, he tightens his grip on Steph, so she won't feel the impact. He feels all his bones crack, his breath going away. "oh man, that hurts" He whispers. He still feels something tighten around him. "Are you...are you okay?" She gets up, she is still trembling but his arms, they feel warm, safe. She gets the courage to get up.

"I'm fine" she says. Mark smiles, he is about to kiss her, but stops. He can't not like this, she doesn't know who he is. He gasps when he sees the demon falling with full force. He turns them around he uses all his strength to not let Steph get crush. She hugs him tight, closing her eyes. He feel a little bit of the pounding he is getting. Mark doesn't give up though, he is not going to let the demon crush her. Mark can feel his grip loosening. He is about to crumble, they are both going to get pounded to the ground if he gives up. "I can't...I can't hold on" Mark says. "I can't feel my arms...I can't..." Steph looks at his eyes. She sees something in him, something familier in his eyes. She helps up a little, holding him up by the shoulders. She sees those green eyes, why is she feeling like she knows this demon. The gorilla keeps pounding with everything he got. Steph can see that he is slowly fading. "Don't give up! hang on!" She has to think of something before he gives and both get slam. She grabs dirt and throws it at the gorilla. He growls as he stops, he takes a step back. Mark sees the opportunity, he punches him in the guts, he thinks he heard some bones breaking. Steph crawls out of the way. She then gets up to run to Roman, he is still shaking in pain. Steph can see that his arm, it's broken.

Mark uses his strenght to heal real quick. At least his wings for now. He feels that they are healing, and he swings them, making a tornado. The demon flies up, twirling around with the tornado. He stays in the sky, he doesn't fall. Mark forms a sword and he flies to it. They start fighting in the sky. Each of them, hitting each other, giving powerful blows. Each time Mark hits a thunder roars with the impact. They both won't give up, they will keep fighting. Mark has to beat him, so he won't come after his family. He swings his sword slashing the demon in his stomach. He then stabs him in the shoulder, making the demon yell. The demon twirls around to punch Mark, making him fly back down to the ground. The demon catches him and rips his wing again. This time he rips both wings off. The demon then breaks his leg, Mark yells. He is on the ground, and the demon slams his fist hard to the ground, making Mark go through. Mark world went black. The gorilla demon starts building up power in his fist. There is a green light forming around his fist. He flies to his family.

"No one can save you NOW!" he yells. He keeps building power on his right fist. The green light shinning brighter as it gets strength. He slowly walks to them. Steph stands in front of her kids. She is not going to let him hurt them. Roman gets up to defend his family. He is standing in front of Steph.

"ROMAN!" Roman hits the demon with the stick he found. Roman growls as he felt his arm break even more. He jumps to stab the gorilla demon in his eyes. He yells he swings his left fist to hit Roman on his side. Roman yells out in pain, his ribs, cracking in impact. "NO Roman, Roman...you okay!"

"Roman" Mark whispers as he slowly opens his eyes. He can sees Steph holding him tight, while Alexa is standing gaurd with the stick. "No, my family"

The demon biulds so much strength. "Have you heard that one punch to the chest from a gorilla kill you" Steph grabs Alexa and makes her stand behind her. She is ready for the impact, as long as her kids are safe, she will do anything.

"No...I won't let you" Mark gets up fast, he disappears.

The demon swings to punch Steph. She closes her eyes. Mark reappears in front of her, getting punch right in his chest. Mark heart stops. He kneels down, then falls to the ground. His eyes widen. Steph gasps. The demon laughs "Well he is gone. Now it's your turn"

Their is a thunder sound, and a bolt of lightening strikes Mark. Steph flies back by the air that blows the dirt. The demon turns around and Mark is right behind him. He flicks his head him, with that one flick, the demon flies back hitting trees along the way. Mark follows him, he is smiling wide. "Hello Demon! I'm Wrath" he laughs. He touches his head and the demon crashes to the ground. "Can you stop me Demon?" He grabs his hand and breaks it in a instant. The demon yells in pain. "Come on demon. Beat me like you did to this person" The demon throws dirt at him but it didn't bother him. He grabs the demon neck, he is about to snap it. Then something hit his head. He looks around wondering what hit him. He then sees that the gorilla is gone. Wrath shakes his head. "Coward" He walks to where the humans are at. He stops in front of them. He is staring at them in awe. They gave Mark strength to fight, to heal. Wrath is impress. He should let Mark take over now. He looks at them one more time. His eyes are to Steph, she is so beautiful. He walks up to her, she is standing tall, not backing down. He places his fingers under her chin. "Beautiful" The eyes that were red then turn to green. Mark goes to his knees.

"Are...are you okay?" Steph ask

"Please, don't be afraid" Mark says "Please, don't be mad"

"What?" she says

"I'm sorry, I should have told you before" he cries "Please, don't be scared. I love you"

The demon form starts to fade, and his human form is showing. He is still on his knees. He is still bleeding though, his shoulder, his back is bruised, his shoulder blades are bleeding because of the wings. He coughs a little.

"Mark...?" Steph whispers "Is...is that really you?"

"Yes, Steph. It's me. I'm one of the demons" He couldn't move his body. His healing is going really slow today. He looks to see Steph, he can't really see her face. His vision is blurry, He can't tell if she is afraid, or angry at him. "I'm so sorry. I-I wanted to tell you" He felt arms around his neck. He shakes, his tears forming, and now falling down his cheek. He can't hug her yet, his arms are really hurting. he leans his head to her chest. She caress his head. She looks at her kids. She holds out a hand, telling them it's okay. Mark felt his kids hug him tight.

"I don't care what you are. I love you! You saved us" she says

"Yes dad...you save us" Alexa says.

As Roman is hugging Mark, a spark lit around his body. He felt all his bones heal, his arm isn't broken, his ribs and sides are fine. "My arm, my sides, there...healed. I feel better."

Mark tries to smile, but he is really, really tired.

"I love you all...so much!" he closes his eyes. He is in deep sleep, he needs the energy. He has to sleep to get the strength.

Mark is eating lots of food. He is really tired, really exhausted, he never felt his way before. He really did his best, he really went over the limit to protect his family. He sees Roman and Alexa laughing at him. He gives them a raise eyebrow. He wonders why they are laughing. He notices that one of his horn, didn't go away. He laughs too. He then conctrates to become fully human. He already explain to Steph how it happen. He didn't tell her that Vince is behind this. That he is the one that transform Mark, he is the one that made him become a demon. He tells her that he's been fighting demons every single night. He is trying to stop this end of the world from coming. Mark sneezes as he did his wings pop out. He sighs, he still needs rest. He sees Steph laughing on the other side of the table. The three of them, all say bless you, he thanks them.

"I need to stretch to my wings"

"Let's head outside" Steph smiles

They all go outside. Roman and Alexa start playing volleyball. Mark moves his wings, stretching them a little. "Steph?"

"Yes"

"Are you...are you afraid of me?" He ask.

"No, Why would you think that?"

"Because, I'm a demon, a monster. I have killed so many, And i"

"Hey, You saved us. I know you, I know your heart. You will never hurt me, or us" she kisses him. Mark leans into the kiss. She feels her feet off the ground. She leans back to see that Mark is flying. She laughs "This is incredible"

"Let's go higher" Mark flies higher. As he did, he truly transform into a demon. She smiles wide.

"You know" She blushes "You look so hot"

"Really?"

"You always look so hot, and you still do in this form"

Mark laughs "Well, glad you think so. Because you are still married to me"

She kisses him. Mark flies around the sky. Steph is place behind Mark, she spreads her arms, enjoying the feeling. The fresh air, hitting her. Mark goes higher, and he makes her face him. He let's go of her. She starts falling. She laughs as floats, but slowly falling. Mark is abover her, falling with her. Mark sees the ground and he holds her close to him. "That was awesome"

Mark then takes Alexa to fly. She always wonder what it feels like to fly. He twirls, he dives. She enjoys every minute of it. She then stands on his back, she spreads her arms. She lets herself fall. She cheers are she goes down. Mark dives after her, smiling. He then holds her, once they got closer to the ground. Roman didn't want to go. That will be weird. Mark doesn't mind, but Roman doesn't want to. They start playing volleyball now. They are enjoying every second of day is amazing. Mark falls asleep later on. Steph is rubbing his head, making sure he stays asleep. Steph wishes he doesn't have to fight tonight. He still looks tired, he still can't move his wings as much. They shouldn't have fly, they could've done it another time. Mark says it was fine.

His family now know that he is a demon. They are going to have to adjust. More to come.
