Casey was driving home as usual and he was happily singing along to a favourite song from his teens. He had just got to the chorus when his phone rang.

"Hey I'm…"

"Are you almost home?" Kim sounded scared.

"Yes, what's wrong?" Casey didn't like the sound of voice.

"I'm bleeding."

"Okay, I'm half a mile from home. I'll call Alex to get the kids and call an ambulance."

"Already called one."

"What if?"

"Hey don't go there until we have all the facts, just like your relapse okay?" Casey softly told her firmly, trying to keep her calm.

"Okay."

"I'm going to hang and call Alex, I should be there in a minute okay?"

"Okay. Love you."

"Love you, too." Casy hung up calling Alex.

"Hey dad."

"Could you and Morgan go over to my house and get the kids, get Morgan to take the kids back to your house and you stay with Kim until the ambulance or I get there."

"Yeah, what's going on?"

"She's bleeding, I'm on my way home."

"I'm going now, Morgan let's go."

"Thanks Alex."

"You're welcome, don't worry about the kids. She's going to need you."

By the time Casey got home, Morgan had the kids in the car after reassuring them mom was going to be okay. He climbed into the ambulance, he sat beside Kim, grabbing her hand.

"We were supposed to leave tonight for our getaway."

"We will reschedule it, don't worry." Casey whispered, moving her hair out of face.

The doctor met them as the ambulance came into the hospital parking lot and examined Kim,

"I think it's time for you to go to the delivery room. We are going to have to do an emergency c section."

"Is everything okay?" Kim asked, scared.

"It will be." The doctor reassured them.

45 minutes later, John Casey was holding Remington Coburn Casey like he was the most precious thing in the world. Kim smiled watching him hold their son. Casey looked at her,

"I love you. Thank you."

"I love you, too."
