A/N: Hello there, fellow reader! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far. It's the beginning of May, meaning a new month as we jump further into the Spring season. I'm grateful once again for the ongoing support for this story, seeing every review and number of readers checking out the story. Thanks again everyone! As usual, here are my responses for the reviews from the last episode:

Persona75: Hahah, a great motto indeed. That is obviously a reference to Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle, which happens to be a big influence to the overall story and theme. I've played the game a few years ago and really enjoyed the characters showcased. I'm most familiar with the Persona 4 and RWBY cast, and still found the Under Night In-Birth and Blazeblue characters fun too, along with the Season 2 additions added later on. You'll be seeing more inspiration from that specific Blazblue game incorporated into the story later on, so keep an eye out!

SmashBrosOdyssey: I'm glad to know that once again I've hit the mark in character interpretations! Alice in Wonderland wasn't really what I had in mind when writing the entire scenario with Hyrule Kingdom and King Dedede, but I definitely understand where you're coming from with that comparison. And I recall someone else mentioning to showcase Robin's wisdom as a tactician, which I've ensured to keep in mind whenever I write for his character in future chapters, including this one!

Without further ado, let's get into the story. Please get comfortable, maybe grab some snacks and enjoy the newest, most action packed entry of Crossing Fates: Era of a New Smash Universe!

CROSSING FATES:
- Era of a New Smash Universe -

[ Episode 5: You Will Remember Our Names ]
"A chaotic battle unravels outside Hyrule Kingdom.
Paths between the heroes begin to cross
as new faces join the fray."

[party select: Lucina, Robin, Link, Zelda]
[support: King Dedede, Urbosa]
[zone:
Hyrule Kingdom]
[location:
Gaur Mushroom Plains]

Mayhem spread across the expansive plains as Hyrule's army battled against the horde of wild monsters threatening to stampede into the kingdom. Executing Robin's pincer maneuver to confuse the monsters, the kingdom's army began with an upper hand in the battle, slaying down groups of Bokoblins, Turkins and Arduns. Following King Dedede's rally, the army of Toad guards, Waddle Dee warriors and Gormotti knights managed to cut down the number of monsters drastically.

"Keep it up everyone! There's still a lot more of them to deal with," Lucina yelled out to the Hyrulian army, pausing for a moment as she glanced around the battlefield. A group of Bokoblins took the opportunity to surround Lucina, but were no match for her as she quickly took them down with a dance of blade swings from her Parallel Falchion. Rushing over to Robin's side, Lucina sliced down a pair of Turkins preparing to sneak attack the tactician from behind.

"Thanks for the assist, Lucina. I was a bit preoccupied with these pesky rhino beasts or whatever they are called." Robin nodded over to her. In front of the tactician laid a trio of Arduns, all having succumbed to a thunderous spell cast from Robin's tome.

"Have you seen Link and Zelda?" Lucina asked, simultaneously taking down another pair of Bokoblins that charged at her with their clubs.

"I think I spotted them handling another horde of those turkey monsters closer to the kingdom's walls," Robin responded, pointing his Levin Sword over to the pair's direction. A concerned look remained on his face at the mention of Zelda's name. "I don't know if you've noticed, Lucina, but it seems the princess of Hyrule isn't living up to our expectations. She's looking more of a liability for us than an asset with her running around in confusion while the knight defends her."

"What? That doesn't make sense. I thought Zelda said she possessed powers akin to a goddess in her. Why isn't she using them?" Lucina said, sharing the same confused look after hearing Robin's comment. Peering through the chaotic battles between the monsters and the Hyrulian army, Lucina spotted Zelda hiding behind Link as he fended off a group of Turkins. "Huh? Why isn't Zelda fighting back?"

"Go ahead and check out what's going on with them, Lucina. Urbosa and I are making our way towards the creator of this entire mess," Robin suggested to her. His eyes fixated on a single robed figure floating above the battle as it unfolded. Noticing Robin staring back at them, the robed figure rose both their hands to the side as dark energy emitted from them. Robin let out a smirk in response. "Hmm, interesting. Looks like we've got ourselves a dark mage among us. This should make this bout all the more interesting."

"Whoever could that be?" Lucina expressed in curiosity. She glanced up to the mysterious figure, unable to identify them, before making her way over to Link and Zelda. On her way, Lucina yelled a few words of wisdom to the tactician. "Just be careful, Robin! If that spell caster has the ability to influence all these monsters, then they surely possess great power."

"Got it," Robin responded. With his tome and Levin Sword in hand, Robin floated through the horde of monsters as he charged up his Thoron ability. Letting out a determined scream, Robin released a ball of electricity, directing the attack with his Levin Sword as he shot the spell towards the robed figure. Unfortunately, the robed figure easily retaliated, charging up a powerful ball of shadow energy and throwing it back at Robin's attack. The shadow ball decimated through the Thoron's electricity and directly hit Robin, causing the tactician to fall back. Struggling back up, Robin groaned as he looked back to the robed figure with frustration. "Damn… Gotta admit, they got me there with that one."

"Looks like you're going to need more power. Allow me to lend a hand!" Urbosa shouted, slicing through Turkins with her scimitar as she joined alongside Robin, helping him back up on his feet. Raising her blade in the air, Urbosa began to utilize her natural thunder abilities as blue lightning surrounded her. "Come, voe! Raise your sword with me!"

"With pleasure," Robin responded, raising his Levin Sword beside Urbosa's scimitar blade. Once again summoning the powers of Thoron from his tome, Robin's electric spell began to combine with Urbosa's thunder powers as the two energies fused together, forming one gigantic ball of lightning above them. Nodding over to Urbosa, Robin prepared to initiate their duo attack. "On your command, chief!"

"Fire!" Urbosa yelled, swinging her sword in sync with Robin's, launching their combined attack towards the robed figure. In an attempt to retaliate, the robed figure attempted to charge another ball of shadow energy, but was caught by surprise from the lightning speed of the duo's thunder attack. With the ball of electricity connecting, the robed figure was immediately dispatched from the air, falling onto the ground below as they writhed in pain.

"Time to reveal who you are!" Robin proclaimed, flipping through the pages of his tome as he summoned his Elwind abilities. In a swift motion, Robin swung his Levin Sword as a blade of verdant wind was shot towards the robed figure. With the Elwind attack tearing the black robes away, Robin took a moment to glance at the dark mage's identity, only to succumb to even more confusion himself. "What the… Who… Or what are you?"

Kneeling on the ground as it breathed heavily from its wounds, the bipedal creature glanced over to Robin, allowing the tactician a better glimpse of its appearance. Its main body consisted primarily of a gray tone with a long, purple tail extending from the back. Each hand and foot had three spherical tips consisting its digits, with the creature's head possessing feline features and a tube extending from the back of its head.

Using its telekinetic powers, the legendary Pokemon spoke into the minds of Robin and Urbosa, revealing its name and purpose with a deep, ominous voice.

"I… am Mewtwo, honoured member of the Master Society's Strike Force. My colleagues and I have come for the princess of this very kingdom."

"The princess? No… You don't mean the young vai." Urbosa stated in shock, realizing that Mewtwo spoke of Zelda. Pointing her scimitar over the legendary Pokemon, Urbosa stood her ground against Mewtwo. "No, I will not allow you or any vile beings lay a hand on the princess!"

"Leave the psychic beast to me, Urbosa. You should go and get the princess to a safe location, alright?" Robin suddenly commanded, holding out his Levin Sword to block Urbosa as he motioned her to leave. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Besides, I've actually been yearning for a worthy opponent in sorcery. It'll be good experience, nonetheless."

"Right. You have my utmost gratitude, Robin." Urbosa said, providing the tactician a grateful look. The Gerudo chief quickly began making her way in the direction of Zelda, leaving Robin to face Mewtwo alone.

Robin smirked over to Mewtwo, twirling around his Levin Sword as he momentarily stalled their battle and conversed with his opponent. "So, you think you can go ahead and command beasts against their will, all for some sad attempt to kidnap one single person? I'm unfamiliar with these creature of this world, but I understand that all living beings have a mind of their own. Powerful beings like you shouldn't need to abuse your abilities over others. Why waste your talents when you could be doing good instead?"

"Your abilities as a mage are quite efficient. May I even say, almost subpar to my own," Mewtwo telepathically spoke, concurrently healing its own wounds as glow of green light emitted around its body. The legendary Pokemon raised an offering hand in Robin's direction as it stated an offer. "You lack knowledge for a tactician. My current objective is a stepping stone to aiding the prosperity of this world. Come and join our ranks among the Master Society. With your skills as a master of sorcery, you'll help us bring this land into an era of paradise no other world could imagine having."

"Thanks, but I'll have to pass. To be honest, I have no true business in this world. I'm just out here trying to look for my friends." Robin casually replied. Opening his tome, Robin prepared his Levin Sword as it sparked with electricity. "Now, let me show you how a true tactician fights!"

"Such a disappointing sight to see your ignorance block you from your destined purpose. No matter, the Master Society will have your compliance either way." Mewtwo stated. Emitting dark energy from its hands, Mewtwo immediately lunged towards Robin, his opponent mimicking as he charged forward with their Levin Sword as a battle between the pair of powerful mages began.

Meanwhile, Link and Zelda found themselves surrounded by another horde of Turkins, all pointing their spears towards the pair. Zelda had her back against Link's as the knight frantically glanced around, defending the both of them from the opposing forces. Link quickly glanced back to the princess and began to reassure her. "No worries, princess. It's okay if you can't fight. I'll protect you no matter what." Letting out a determined yell, Link swung his blade at the charging Turkins, easily taking them out with the powers of the Master Sword by his side.

"I'm sorry, Link… I don't know what's going on with my powers." Zelda apologized. Looking down to her hands, Zelda felt nothing but the absence of her goddess abilities. No matter how hard she tried to summon her powers, no response would occur, which left her in a vulnerable position among the horde of monsters around them. "Just… what's going on with me? Why won't my powers awaken? It's as if Hylia's spirit left me..."

"Don't say that, princess!" Link called back to her, defending himself with his shield as a pair of Turkins swung their spears towards him. "The powers of the goddess must still be inside of you. Just keep trying!"

Zelda attempted her best to search for the goddess' powers inside of her, to no avail as she felt once again felt nothing but emptiness. Clenching her fists, Zelda hollered out in frustration. "I still feel nothing! What's happening to me, Link?" In her moment of confusion, a Turkin took the opportunity to lunge forward with its spear in an attempt to take down Zelda.

"Get down, princess!" Lucina commanded, charging over to the Turkin as she knocked it aside with the hilt of her Parallel Falchion, immediately finishing it off afterwards with a swing of her sword. Witnessing Zelda kneeling in defeat, Lucina rushed to her side to see what was going on with her. "Zelda, what's going on? Why aren't you fighting back?"

"My powers that I mentioned possessing beforehand. They're gone." Zelda replied to Lucina in a defeated tone. "I feel nothing inside of me. No matter how hard I try to call it out, nothing happens. I… I don't know what to do. I'm so sorry for letting you all down."

"Hey, no need to be hard on yourself." Lucina immediately comforted her. Taking a quick glance around them, Lucina noted the on going approach of Turkins closing on their position. "But now is not the time to sulk. We need to get moving, okay?"

"Young vai, what's the matter!?" Urbosa's voice called out, noting Zelda's defeated posture. On her way to their group, the Gerudo chief summoned her thunder abilities, snapping her fingers as she took out the remaining Turkins surrounding them in a swift motion. Joining alongside the pair of princess's, Lucina explained of Zelda's current predicament. "I see. I'm sorry, young vai, but if that is the case, we'll need to get you to safety then. Remember what the king mentioned?"

"Right… To retreat if the battle begins to overwhelm me," Zelda nodded back, guilt beginning to fill her mind knowing how useless she was on the battlefield at the moment. Desperate to become an asset to her comrades, Zelda recalled to a certain device she could use that would provide her the ability to fight. "Wait… My Sheikah Slate! I can use its Rune functions to help us! Urbosa, we have to go back to the castle and retrieve it in my room. I still have the opportunity to be of use for everyone!"

"Okay, young vai, I'll escort you there." Urbosa nodded in response.

"Wait, I can go with the princess! It's my duty after all." Link chimed in, only to be gently denied by Urbosa.

"I appreciate your dedication, Link, but the princess requested for my services on this task. Besides, you've done more than enough in service for Zelda. Allow me to provide my assistance for once." Urbosa insisted, receiving a nod from Link. As the pair were about to leave the battlefield, panicked shouts from the Hyrulian army were heard a few feet away as loud rumbling shook the entire area. In response, Urbosa and the rest of her comrades turned towards the source of the sound.

"What's this? Another beast unleashed onto the battlefield?" Lucina expressed in surprise. Peering off to the distance for a closer look, Lucina could only make out the shape of a mighty silver-scaled winged beast causing trouble among a group of Hyrule's knights, alongside King Dedede as he took a stance against the creature to defend his army. "Link, eyes up! It looks like the king is in trouble."

"Princess! Go with Urbosa! We'll handle this." Link reassured them, nodding over to Zelda and Urbosa.

"Okay! We'll come back to help as soon as we can!" Zelda promised her companions.

"Come, young vai." Urbosa commanded, grabbing Zelda's hand as the pair rushed back towards Hyrule Kingdom.

"Let's go, Lucina! We've still got work to do!" Link proclaimed, rushing over to King Dedede's aid with Lucina following closely behind. Pairing up together, Link and Lucina made quick work of the remaining monsters standing in their way, slicing through Turkin and Bokoblins as the arrived at King Dedede's location. Link and Lucina stood in front of the king in a defensive position, staring down the mysterious creature recently making its presence known to them.

"Glad you guys could make it to the party! This tough foe decided to ruin our winning streak we had going on." King Dedede grunted out, feeling weary from the battle he endured with the winged beast. The king took a moment to lower his wooden mallet as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "So, you two have any idea what this monster is?"

"Apologies, but this is my first time seeing this as well," Lucina replied, standing defiantly against their foe as she took a closer look at what they were dealing with. The silver-scaled beast took form of a feral dragon, with sharp, jagged horns pointing out of its head and tail. Large wings expanded from its back while dragon stood on all four of its hind legs. Swirls of what appeared to be water magic surrounded the feral dragon.

To the surprise of Lucina's group, a voice echoed from the dragon as it telepathically spoke to them.

"Yield your weapons and heed to your birthright with the Master Society. Bear witness to their revelations and join us in our conquest in carving a prospering fate for all subjects of this world." the feral dragon spoke.

"W-What? Did it just talk?" Link gasped out, turning over to his companions as they shared similarly surprised looks.

"This day is just getting weirder and weirder by the moment," King Dedede groaned. Gripping his wooden mallet, the king lifted it over his shoulders, pointing his free hand towards the dragon as he commanded his remaining army. "Knights of Hyrule! Victory is surely within our grasp! Let us slay this feral beast and fulfill our duty in protecting our home!" The surrounding soldiers responded with a motivated battle cry, remaining loyal to their king as they faced their mightiest opponent yet.

"Stay vigilant, everyone. I believe there is more to this beast than meets the eye." Lucina advised their group. Raising her Parallel Falchion, Lucina prepared for their bout with the feral dragon. Alongside her, Link raised his Master Sword and shield in a similar fashion, confident to fight alongside his allies.

"We fight for Hyrule!" Link yelled out, charging forward as a stunning battle was about to unfold.

[party select: Zelda, Urbosa]
[zone:
Hyrule Kingdom]
[location:
Hyrule Town Square]

Rushing through the kingdom's town square, Zelda and Urbosa made their way towards the castle. The princess intended on returning to her companions on the battlefield once she retrieved her Sheikah Slate in her bedroom, which would provide her the ability to fight with its various rune functions. However, their trek wouldn't be so smoothly as expected, finding themselves followed by a rogue group of Bokoblins departing from the battle on Gaur Mushroom Plains.

"These pests remain persistent. Stay behind me, princess. I shall finish them off." Urbosa proclaimed. Stopping alongside the town square's fountain, Urbosa motioned Zelda to remain in position, pulling out her scimitar as the Bokoblins approached her with their weapons. Letting out an amused smirk at their pitiful efforts, Urbosa dashed forward, taking out each foe with a swift motion of her blade.

Zelda watched in awe as Urbosa made quick work of the enemy, always astonished by the Gerudo Champion's graceful, yet fierce movements in battle. Staring back down to her hands, Zelda reattempted to unlock her goddess' powers, only to once again sigh in disappointment in the absence of her abilities. "This doesn't make any sense. Why are my powers acting like this? Is it… because we've awoken in this strange, new version of Hyrule?"

"GAAAAH!" Urbosa suddenly yelled out in pain, caught off-guard by the sudden strike of a blade upon her back by a mysterious assailant. The Gerudo Champion succumbed to her injuries, kneeling on one knee as she dropped her equipment.

"Huh!? Urbosa!" Zelda shouted in panic, realizing the Gerudo Champion had been ambushed. An unfamiliar fighter stood in front of Urbosa with a threatening stance while gripping the tip of their Monado towards her. Zelda attempted to reach out and help Urbosa, only to be ambushed herself as another fighter fell from the sky above and tackled her, knocking the princess onto the ground. Struggling in their grasp, Zelda yelped in panic as her assailant began to bind her into bulky metallic cuffs, restricting her hands behind as she laid face first on the ground. "Gyaah! Nooo! H-how dare you! I demand you let me go this instant!"

"Whoah, whoah, whoah, calm down, princess! That isn't really a lady like thing to say, don't you think?" the pilot began to taunt Zelda, keeping a foot on her back as he kept his captive still.

"Wha- Revali? Is that you?" Zelda stuttered in surprise, facing her captor as she noted their blue feathers. "What in Hylia's name are you doing? And why are you wearing such strange clothes?"

"H-Huh? Revali? Who in the heck is that? M'lady, you've got me confused for some other random schmuck!" Falco responded, following up with less than courteous bow as he introduced himself. "I am the one and only Falco Lombardi, proud member of the Master Society Strike Force! It is quite the pleasure to meet distinguished royalty such as yourself." Finishing up his greeting, Falco pulled out his blaster and pointed it towards Zelda's head without hesitation. "Now, be an obedient little princess and stay still, alright?"

"No! Please, let the princess go." Urbosa begged, watching in distress as Zelda struggled underneath Falco's grip. Attempting to reach over to her scimitar on the ground, Urbosa ended up hesitating as the Monado's blade found itself right upon her neck as her ambusher began to make threats.

"If you wish to keep even a single lock of golden hair safe on the princess, then I suggest you comply to our orders," Shulk proclaimed, staring down Urbosa with fierce eyes. Reaching over to his earpiece, Shulk communicated with his leading officer. "Samus, we have the targets in our grasp. Come down whenever you are ready. Oh, and don't forget about the scepter."

"Grrrgh! W-What do you want with us!?" Zelda grunted out in frustration, only for Falco to increase the pressure with his foot atop her back, causing the princess to cry out in pain. "Gaaaaah! S-Stop it, please!"

"What's wrong, princess? Aren't you supposed to be blessed by the goddess' almighty powers? With her abilities resting in the palm of your hands, you should be able to break free from your handcuffs with ease." Falco continued taunting Zelda, letting out a devious sneer from his beak. "Or perhaps you can't even unlock her powers at all?"

Zelda stopped moving, letting out a shocked look after hearing Falco's comments. "H-Huh? How could you possibly even know about that?"

Before Zelda could receive an answer, a large shadow began looming over Hyrule town's square as Samus' iconic gunship came into view. The bottom compartment slowly opened up, revealing Samus as she wielded the golden Medusa Scepter in her hands. Jumping down to join her Strike Force members, Samus did not hesitate to activate the scepter's powers in Urbosa's direction, binding the Gerudo champion into the extending snake heads.

"Grrrrrgh! W-What is this monstrosity around me!?" Urbosa grunted out, struggling within the pair of snakes as they constricted tightly around her arms and legs. Eventually, the head of the snakes turned and faced Urbosa straight into her eyes as their own began glowing a dark, purple light.

"I am certain you have noticed the changes upon your homeland. Fear not, for you have awakened in a new paradise blessed by our masters," Samus began to monologue in front of Zelda and Urbosa. Approaching the Gerudo champion, Samus reached over and grasped Urbosa's chin, lifting it up to face her. "Urbosa, your character possesses strong leadership and magnificent abilities in manipulating thunder with the snap of your fingers. With you in the ranks of the Master Society, you can help lead the rest of your people into prosperity, free from fear and into a land abundant of resources all provided by the almighty masters of our organization."

"I… will never bow down to the likes of you." Urbosa proclaimed, gritting her teeth angrily at Samus.

"Then so be it. Your answer will have you resigned into nothing more than another trophy of the masters. You have only yourself to blame for the consequences about to befall upon you and the princess." Samus stated. Upon her command, the Medusa Scepter activated its full powers, beginning the stoney transformation of Urbosa's body. Samus watched in amusement as Urbosa screamed in pain as she gradually converted into a stone statue.

"Young vai… Please… R-Remain strong..." Urbosa struggled to speak, using the last of her energy to face Zelda, giving the princess a reassuring look. Unable to struggle any further, Urbosa resigned to her untimely demise as the rest of her body succumbed into its stoney imprisonment.

"URBOSAA!" Zelda cried out to her guardian, unable to watch any further as Urbosa became nothing but a lifeless stone statue. Lowering her head in defeat, Zelda started sobbing as tears began running down her face. Zelda couldn't fathom the fact of losing someone so dear to her again. With Urbosa's fate sealed in the hands of the Master Society, Zelda slowly began to lose her resolve to fight back and started blaming herself for the situation they found themselves in. "No… If only I could've unlocked my powers. Why? Why is this happening at all!?"

"Don't be scared, princess. As imposing as we might be, we won't be turning you into a stone statue just like your dear friend over there," Falco spoke as he lifted Zelda back onto her feet, guiding her to the rest of the Strike Force members as they prepared to beam up into Samus' gunship. "In fact, one of the masters has been looking forward to speaking with you. Seems like you both have some fascinating history with each other."

"Huh…? W-What do you mean we have history?" Zelda sniffled over Falco's comment, only to lose her train of thought as she noticed Urbosa' stone statue floating in the air, being the first item tractor beamed into the cargo area of Samus' gunship. Staring up towards Urbosa's lifeless expression, Zelda turned away with remorse, knowing she couldn't do anything to rescue the guardian who watched over her since she was young. "Urbosa, I-I'm so sorry for letting you down..." Zelda wept out, lowering her head once more in distress. Reluctantly complying with her captors, Zelda prepared herself to be taken away by the Master Society Strike Force.

Unexpectedly, a sudden burst of light projectiles was shot in the group's direction, blasting away both Zelda and the Strike Force towards the town square's fountain. Each member of the Master Society Strike Force landed into the waters, creating a gigantic splash overflowing the fountain itself. However, Zelda found herself rolling across the ground few feet away, avoiding the fountain altogether.

"GYAAAAH!? MY FEATHERS!" Falco shouted, flapping furiously within the fountain waters as his entire attire became drenched. "Grrrghh, who was rude enough to blast us away like that? Come on! Lemme have a word with them!"

"Oh no…. It's the girl again." Shulk expressed concern, slowly climbing out of the fountain as he stared over to the source of the light projectiles. Turning over to Samus, Shulk advised them to make their escape. "We should get out of here. Believe me, no other fate is worse than finding yourself at the opposite end of her photon blasts!"

"Right. I didn't expect her to catch up with us so soon. Figured she'd be determined to give chase knowing her friends are on-board our ship." Samus replied, already commanding her gunship to beam her team out of the area. "In the meantime, let's rendezvous with the rest of the team out on the plains. And Falco! Don't forget to grab the princess!"

Zelda groaned, struggling to sit herself up due to her hands remaining cuffed behind. Staring over to her sudden rescuer coming from the kingdom's entrances, Zelda was astonished by their grand appearance. Surrounded by a brilliant aura of yellow light, the young blonde girl sported an outfit unlike any other, consisting of a short, white dress with numerous golden and green ornaments, along with black spandex covering their back and legs, finishing off their look with a golden tiara on their head. Grasped in the girl's hand was a large, jagged white sword as it emitted both yellow and green energy all around.

"GIVE HIM BACK, YOU MONSTERS! GIVE ALL OF THEM BACK!" the young girl suddenly yelled, pointing her blade towards the Master Society Strike Force. Looking over to Shulk, the fury in the girl's eyes increased as she began calling him out. "Damn it, Shulk! Out of everything we'd gone through, I can't believe you'd side with these dumbasses! Is there something wrong with your head?"

"Hmm? Does she happen to know them?" Zelda whispered to herself, glancing between the mystery girl and Shulk. The princess began to panic once again, realizing that Falco began climbing out of the fountain in order to retrieve her. Frantically, Zelda started shuffling on the ground, experiencing difficulty in escaping while her hands remained cuffed. "Wait! No! Stay away from me!"

"Don't think I've already forgotten about you, princess!" Falco taunted, shaking the water out of his feathers as he approached Zelda. "No worries, we've got first class seating specifically made for you back on the ship. Only the finest accommodations for our requested guest!" Before he could grab her, Falco found himself subject to a familiar ice spell as he was knocked back into the fountain with his legs now frozen in place. Falco frustratingly struggled to free himself, yet to no avail. "Damn it! This stupid spell again? Why do I always keep falling for it!?"

Suddenly, a familiar voice from a peppy flower girl joined the commotion going on around the fountain area. "You know, it makes me wonder if you've ever talked to a lady before, Mr. Falco. All I ever hear from that beak of yours is complete garbage. Even a Chocobo would have sweeter words than you." Approaching the handcuffed princess, the flower peddler gently assisted Zelda back on her feet. "Here, let me get you out of those bindings, mmhm?"

"W-Who are you?" Zelda asked, watching as her rescuer utilized their Ice Materia abilities to freeze her bulky cuffs, allowing them to shatter the bindings with ease and freeing the princess.

"I'm Aerith! Aerith Gainsborough, at your service!" the flower peddler happily responded, giving a quick salute with her free hand along with a wink to coincide the reassuring gesture. "Long story short, but a few companions of mine were summoned here to help you guys out! And good thing we came right away. Those Strike Force members have been nothing but a pain in the butt recently!"

"Hey! You're a pain in the butt with your stupid ice magic!" Falco shouted back at Aerith, all while in the process of being freed by Shulk, the latter using their Monado to smash away the ice around the pilot's feet. His attention at the ladies was redirected back to the mysterious blonde girl fast approaching the Strike Force members. "Oh crap! Is it me, or did more of that weird light energy come out of that chick's eyes? Yo, Samus! You mind getting us outta here already!?"

"None of you are leaving until I get Rex and my friends back!" the young girl shouted over to the Strike Force members. Holding her sword in front of her, the girl began charging a huge amount of light energy for a radical attack. "You dare turn them into stone statues? See how it feels to be eradicated into smithereens by a blast of photon energy! RAY OF PUNISH-"

"I call out to you, Zorro! Sweep the lady off her feet!" Morgana's voice suddenly called out, joining alongside Aerith and Zelda as he summoned his Persona. Before he could be stopped, Morgana's Persona released a powerful burst of windy Garudyne magic, knocking the sword-wielding girl backwards and cancelling out her photon attack.

"Morgana! You got the wrong person!" Aerith immediately shouted in disbelief.

"WHAT!? N-No I didn't! I was aiming for the blonde one-" Morgana stuttered out, immediately realizing his mistake as he witnessed the Strike Force members flee into Samus' gunship. Morgana looked back over to the other girl groaning in pain on the ground. "Oh… Uhhh, my bad. Guess I was so focused on the bright and shiny light coming from the other girl, eheheheh. I thought she was Samus for a second!"

"Hahah! See ya later, losers!" Falco squawked, waving them goodbye as Shulk, Samus and himself were tractor beamed back into Samus' gunship. With their bounty of stone captives secured on-board, the Master Society Strike Force members flew towards Gaur Mushroom Plains to retrieve their remaining members preoccupied on the battlefield.

"Aw, maaaan! I totally messed that one up..." Morgana mumbled out, lowering his head and ears in embarrassment.

"Uhhh… Is that a talking cat?" Zelda asked, staring down at the smaller creature in front of her with a perplexed look. Her question was completely disregarded when the mysterious blonde girl pounced onto Morgana, seemingly flying from her prior position with breakneck speed as if she were possessed by the speed of light.

"GYAAAAAAAH!" Morgana squealed, now under the mercy of the younger girl, watching in terror as her sword began to emit yellow energy just like before in his direction. Morgana clasped his hands together as he began begging for his life. "Nonononono! Please! I still have all my nine lives on me! It was an honest mistake, I'm sorry for knocking you away!"

"You stupid, idiotic, impulsive cat! Do you realize what you've done?" the younger girl lectured Morgana, roughly flailing him around within her grasp out of frustration. "I've been chasing around those bozos for days! And when I finally, FINALLY have them where I want 'em to be, you have to come in and brush me aside. Why I oughta-"

"Okay okay, why don't we calm down a bit, shall we?" Aerith gently advised, approaching the younger girl with a reassuring look, only to be bombarded by a tantrum from them instead.

"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down!? I wake up in this stupid world that I have absolutely no idea about, then my friends end up getting captured and turned into stone statues for no good reason!" the blonde girl blurted out angrily, simultaneously flailing her arms about with continued disregard of Morgana's well-being. "And it's all because those idiotic Strike Force members keep shoving down their looney ideologies about creating this utopian future for everyone!"

"GYAAAAAAAAAH! Tell here to stop! I'm getting nauseous here!" Morgana moaned out desperately, remaining helpless in the girl's grasp.

Hearing the younger girl's story, Zelda immediately empathized, hoping that her own explanation would calm her down. "Please, if you would hear me out! My allies and I have are also going through the same situation. We've woken up believing this kingdom to be our own world. But we realize this may simply be a fabrication when we met others originating from a completely different land altogether."

"It's safe to say that you're not the only one facing this predicament. I can also vouch with the same circumstances as both of you," Aerith reassured Zelda and the other girl, speaking with a calm tone. "Now please, kindly put down the cat before he starts throwing up fur balls. Let's figure this out together, mmhm?"

Taking a moment to register both Zelda and Aerith's claims, the newer girl took a couple deep breaths as she eventually relaxed, allowing herself to think with a clear mind. Unbeknownst to both Zelda and Aerith, the girl began answering to another voice residing in her head, who was also telling her to gently calm down and trust the words from these new strangers they just met. "Okay. Sorry about that. It's just been a rough few days for the both of us, remember Pyra? You have to understand why it's been so frustrating for me too."

"No need to worry! I understand how we're all feeling right now. But we ladies have to stick together, right?" Aerith said with encouragement, pumping both fists in the air. A confused look suddenly found itself on Aerith's face from the younger girl's prior comment. "Uhhh, wait a minute, who is this Pyra you just mentioned? Is she hiding around here somewhere?" Aerith asked, looking around in confusion, only spotting the four of them standing among the town's square.

"Oh… Right. Before this gets any more complicated, maybe I should just show you guys first," the younger girl stated. Taking a few steps back from them, a magnificent sparkle of light surrounded the girl as she began to transform into her other self. Donning a completely new outfit, the girl sported red and black armour consisting of gold and green ornamentation. Her physical attire included red thigh-high boots, short-shorts, black fingerless gloves, a long multi-coloured reverse drape scarf-like cape flowing from her back and a golden tiara, similar to her other counterpart. Unlike her long, flowing blonde hair, the girl's hairstyle changed to a short, red bob-cut, with gentle red eyes to match. Lastly, the colour of her blade changed from white to red, matching the girl's appearance.

"Hi there, my name is Pyra." the girl introduced herself, motioning a courteous bow to Aerith's group. "Sorry again for the way Mythra acted earlier. She may be a little intimidating at first, but I promise, she can be very kind at times."

"Huh… D-Did that just really happen right now?" Aerith stuttered out, rubbing both her eyes in disbelief.

"She… changed her look? No, she transformed into another person?" Zelda speculated, staring over to Pyra with great confusion.

"Oh greeeeeaaaaat… I think all the shaking I've just gone through is making me hallucinate now." Morgana moaned, still grasped in Pyra's hand as he hung there motionlessly.

"Oh! S-Sorry, kitty! I totally forgot that I was still holding you." Pyra apologized, cradling Morgana into her arms as she gently petted the distressed cat in the process. "Oh dear… Again, I'm so so sorry! That was terrible of Mythra to shake you around like a toy. Please forgive her."

"So, uhh, is there some sort of split-personality we should be aware of?" Aerith asked Pyra, attempting to comprehend what kind of person they were dealing with. "Hmm, I've never thought to meet someone who is quite literally two-faced. But so far, you seem like a girl… or girls, who doesn't mean too much harm. Aside from Mythra's overbearing personality."

In the blink of an eye, Pyra swapped back to Mythra as the blonde girl took offense over Aerith's comment. "Overbearing? What the heck is that supposed to mean? If anything, I'll admit that I can be a bit extreme sometimes, but that's only because I'm overly dedicated to my emotions, alright? What even gives you the right to say I'm overbearing? We literally just met each other!"

"GYAAAAAH!? Aerith! What have you done?" Morgana squealed, finding himself victim to Mythra's rage once more. Having no more patience with the girl's tantrum, Morgana broke himself free and jumped into Zelda's arms in fear. "P-Please! Protect me from that crazy chick!"

"Pyra… or Mythra, if I'm correct?" Zelda asked, inquiring from her whilst gently comforting Morgana in her arms. "Earlier, you said your friends were turned into stone, right? Did they happen to fall victim to the same horrific transformation that Urbosa went through? If so… I'm very sorry to hear that."

"Urbosa? Oh… You mean that other woman the Strike Force just captured," Aerith recalled. Looking over to Zelda, she noticed the distressed look on the princess' face. By instinct, Aerith went over and comforted the princess, providing encouraging words for both Zelda and Mythra to hear. "Hey, we'll figure this all out, okay? Even I had a dear friend who was captured by that monstrous group. Which is why we need to work together in order to stop them from ruining the lives of more innocent people."

"Mmhm, really? And how are we supposed to do that, exactly?" Mythra asked, crossing her arms in doubt towards Aerith's claim. "That Strike Force team, although very annoying, are pretty competent in what they do. They've got strong fighters and are difficult to track down, believe me. How do you suppose us three will accomplish anything?"

"Hey! Us four! Don't forget that I'm here too, you crazy woman!" Morgana growled, only to receive a death glare from Mythra. "GYAH! P-Please don't touch me, I didn't mean to growl back like that. It's an honest force of habit!"

"Don't worry, as I mentioned earlier, Morgana and I are with a group solely on a mission to fight against the ideologies of those Strike Force members!" Aerith reassured them. Twirling around her Arcane Scepter, she pointed it over to the outskirts of the kingdom's walls. "Come on, lasses! Let's reconvene with the others out on the field. Apparently, they're dealing with a really big mob of monsters right now. Surely they'll need our help with cleanup!"

"Wait! I still need to retrieve something from the castle. It's the sole reason Urbosa passed through the town square in the first place. All before she got captured." Zelda brought up to her newest allies, remembering the Sheikah Slate currently awaiting for the princess back in her room. Turning over to Aerith, Zelda shyly asked for her assistance. "Aerith? I know we just met, but could I ask if you could accompany me back to the castle? After what'd just happen, I'd feel safer with someone by my side."

"Heheh, certainly, Your Majesty! It's not every day I get to escort royalty." Aerith replied without hesitation.

"Please Aerith, there is need for the formalities. Just call me by my name, Zelda." the princess assured, a smile growing on her face in gratitude towards her newest companion.

"You two go deal with your boring fetch quest. If you'll excuse me, I'd like to take out my frustration on that pitiful mob you mentioned. See ya girls." Mythra stated, facing her back to their group as she made her way over to Gaur Mushroom Plains, following the given direction to rendezvous with the rest of Aerith and Morgana's supposed group.

"Hmph! She's already acting like I don't exist. The nerve on that bratty girl!" Morgana growled out in annoyance, jumping from Zelda's arms as he watched Mythra leave. "And really? She just decides to ditch us already? Talk about rude!"

"May I kindly remind that you were the one to blow her away with your Persona, Mona?" Aerith called him out.

"I-It was an honest mistake!" Morgana stuttered out, although choosing to shut his mouth up before he made another relentless remark that would backfire on him.

"Please, let's not dwell on such trivial matters. The sooner I can retrieve the Sheikah Slate, the sooner we can help the army fend off against the horde of monsters still running about." Zelda reminded their group. Nodding to each other in agreement, Aerith, Morgana and Zelda hurried towards the castle to retrieve her weapon before returning to the fray outside the kingdom.

[party select: Link, Lucina, Robin]
[support: King Dedede]
[zone: Hyrule Kingdom]
[location: Gaur Mushroom Plains]

Back on the battlefield, the Hyrulian army continued fighting against the remaining horde of monsters rampaging on the field. In the midst of the battle, however, the mysterious silver-scaled dragon continued causing trouble for Link and Lucina's group, easily taking out a large number of Hyrule's army with its powerful water-based attacks.

"Just what exactly is this beast? And where did it come from?" Lucina hollered out, struggling to land a strike with her Parallel Falchion. Their foe managed to keep their group at bay with its ability to summon whirlpools of waters at whim, knocking out surrounding knights that attempted to counterattack while simultaneously serving as a shield for itself.

"Grrrgh, how are none of our attacks penetrating through its defenses?" Link shouted back, looking for an opening as they continued avoiding the dragon's attacks. Lifting up his shield in defense, Link managed to block the dragon's piercing tail as it whipped in the knight's direction. Although the oncoming force was strong enough to push Link backwards as he slid across the plains, luckily managing to keep his balance as he struck the Master Sword onto the ground to stop his momentum.

"Keep it distracted! I'll prepare a nice gift for this wild beast!" King Dedede commanded, taking a stance behind the feral dragon as both Link and Lucina complied. The king held his wooden mallet up, activating its secret function – the Jet Hammer. Popping out of the mallet's side was a mechanical jet engine as it began to charge up, spewing out flames of propulsion in the process. Once fully charged, King Dedede let out a determined yell as he charged towards the dragon's back, spinning around as he broke through the whirlpool shield. King Dedede's powerful Jet Hammer attack was on course to landing major damage against their tyrannical foe, had it not been for a psychic Pokemon's inteference.

"Not so fast, Your Majesty." an ominous voice suddenly rang out to the king.

"Gyaaah! W-What is this sorcery?" King Dedede muttered out in distress, finding himself locked in a trance as a purple aura of energy surrounded his body. His fully charged Jet Hammer paused mid-motion, mere inches away from its target. In response, the feral dragon turned around and blasted the king away with a torrent of water. The king screamed out in pain as he was washed away across the battlefield.

"No! Protect the king!" the Hyrulian knights shouted, many of them running to their fallen king's side.

"King Dedede!" Link yelled out to him, instinctively chasing after the fallen king of Hyrule. His path was immediately disrupted when a barrage of shadow balls shot at his foot. Reacting accordingly, Link jumped out of the attack's way, somersaulting across the ground before landing back on his feet. Link faced his attacker as they calmly floated in the air. "You! Are you responsible for the attack that took out the king?"

"Link, the apparent Hero of Hyrule who was destined to destroy the calamity befalling on their pitiful kingdom," Mewtwo spoke, making his presence known to the sword fighters as he taunted them with knowledge of their backstory. The psychic Pokemon turned over to the Ylissean princess and began mocking her. "And Lucina, the poor princess who wasn't strong enough to save her family and friends from a grim fate."

"How do you even know that, you monster!" Lucina yelled out, positioning her sword to attack. Unfortunately, Lucina was caught off-guard when a body was thrown in her direction by Mewtwo's telekinesis. Lucina tumbled across the battlefield, eventually landing on top of the person thrown at her. Groaning out in pain, Lucina slowly pushed herself back up and realized it was her fellow tactician underneath. "Grrggh… R-Robin? Are you okay?"

"S-sorry, Lucina. It somehow got the best of me." Robin muttered out in apology, slowly getting up alongside Lucina. "Gosh, I never expected myself to be a human projectile. That beast, or whatever it is, has some dark powers that I even I can't comprehend."

"Robin! Lucina! You guys alright?" Link asked, rushing to their side as they nodded back to him.

"Now allow me to ask you once more, heroes. All three of you possess extraordinary abilities used to counteract the greater evils from your respective worlds," Mewtwo interjected, floating above the trio as they stood defiantly against the legendary psychic Pokemon. It reached a hand towards them, offering them to join its side along the Master Society. "We can work together to change the course of history and rid of all our worlds from abominations! Simply believe in the cause of my masters and stand alongside our goals!"

"How many times do I have to tell you? We will never bow down to your cause!" Robin spoke in retaliation. Taking out his Levin Sword, Robin ignited his weapon with electricity and pointed it against Mewtwo. Link and Lucina followed suite, pointing their respective swords akin to Robin's gesture. "Like you've said, we've tipped the scales against evil forces before. That will include the likes of you and this egotistical group you stand with!"

"Foolish humans! Then you shall be nothing more than puppets under the strings of our masters." Mewtwo growled back angrily. Levitating in the opposite direction of the heroes, Mewtwo landed on top of the feral dragon's back. Whispering their true name, Mewtwo commanded the beast to retaliate against the group. "Corrin… Finish them off. I shall dry off their bodies and present them to the masters. By their wills, our masters will finally put their stubborn minds for use in this world."

"Yes… They will soon understand the true power of our masters." the voice of a girl echoed out from the dragon itself.

"Hold on! The dragon has a name?" Link expressed in shock, now discovering the beast possessed a consciousness. "So it goes by the name Corrin? Just what other surprises does today have in store for us?"

"Wait a minute, could it be another manakate?" Lucina spoke of the possibility, preparing for another bout against the feral dragon. Although, their chances at victory appeared slim with Mewtwo now pairing up with the mysterious beast. "Robin, if you've got any last minute tactics that'll give us the upper hand, I'm all ears."

"Sorry, don't really have much hidden in my sleeve right now. Just do your best not to die, alright guys?" Robin advised his allies.

Corrin's feral dragon form slowly approached the heroes, charging up another torrent of water to blast them away. As the heroes prepared to fight back, an unexpected barrage of attacks landed upon Corrin's back. A plethora of light arrows pierced through Corrin's dragon form, causing it to yell out in anguish while forcing Mewtwo to retreat. Without a moment to breathe, the dragon succumbed to another attack by the form of dark, fiery magic bursting around it. Finally, Corrin's dragon form fell victim to a single strike from a gigantic blade, knocking her onto the ground.

"Whoah! Now where did those spectacular attacks come from?" Robin cheered out, looking around to find the source. By his group's surprise, a trio of unfamiliar fighters appeared to surround Corrin's dragon form. At a glance, Robin accounted on what appeared to be an angel warrior, a mercenary wielding a large blade and a masked boy donning a stylish black coat. "Hmm, interesting. Now what are these guys all about?" Robin said with intrigue.

"Woohoo! Our ambush actually worked! Looks like we got the last surprise on that dragon!" Pit exclaimed, using his wings to fly in the air as he pumped his fists in victory. His Silver Bow remained grasped in his hands used to fire the armada of light arrows.

"Stay focused, Pit! We're not done yet." Cloud called out to the angel warrior, approaching Corrin's dragon form with his Buster Blade in ready position. The mercenary turned over to the Trickster, awaiting for their next command. "Joker! What's our next move?"

"Quickly, while our foe is down. Let's go for an All-Out attack!" Joker commanded, motioning his teammates towards the incapacitated Corrin. "Don't hold back, guys. Just throw everything you've got at 'em!"

Cloud and Pit nodded, following Joker's lead as they initiated their first ever All-Out Attack together. Jumping towards the knocked down Corrin, each of the trio performed a flurry of their own attacks, with Joker utilizing his dagger, Cloud attacking with his Buster Blade, and Pit separating his Silver Bow into a pair of blades. With their last strike, the trio landed together, each forming a victorious pose as Corrin's dragon form exploded with a burst of water from behind.

"GYAAAAAAHHHH!" Corrin let out a distressed scream, succumbing to the damage by the All-Out attack. To everyone's surprise, Corrin's dragon form began to dissipate into grey smoke, along with blue energy emitting from her body as she slowly reverted into her human form. As the smoke cleared, Corrin's true body was revealed to the heroes. Left behind in place of the feral dragon was a young girl with white, long hair, wearing a black hair band, silver armour with footwear absent and a black cape flowing from behind.

"Wait… That dragon was a girl the entire time?" Pit gasped in utter shock. Out of habit, he began to apologize to the knocked down Corrin. "Geez, uhh… sorry if we were too rough on you! In my defense, I was just following Joker's lead, that's all!"

"Hmph! What a pitiful display by the feral dragon herself," Mewtwo spoke in disappointment, slowly floating down to Corrin's aid and keeping a shadow energy-infused hand towards the greatly outnumbering heroes. Looking down to their Strike Force member, Mewtwo demanded Corrin to stand up and fight. "Come now! Don't let these fools make a mockery out of you! Transform back and wreck havoc with your dragon form! That is your purpose in which our masters granted to you!"

"I-I can't… My energy has been depleted." Corrin muttered out in pain. Turning over to face the group of heroes, Corrin showcased the same dark aura around here eyes, revealing her to be under the same mind control as the rest of the Master Society Strike Force. "You… have showcased amazing strength. Sadly, they have been wasted under the retaliation against the Master Society. I look over to you all with only pity."

"Tell us. Where does Master Society hide? And who are the names of your true masters?" Joker demanded from them. The rest of his group, alongside Link, Lucina and Robin, joined him as they surrounded both Mewtwo and Corrin.

"More importantly, where are they keeping our allies that they've turned to stone?" Cloud added. "You've taken someone close to me. I want them back. The same sentiment comes from these guys and their friends. So don't waste our time and spill out the truth."

"The truth is… You shall never see your friends again. Not as they once were before." Mewtwo stated without fear, remaining steadfast against the heroes' questions. "The Master Society's rule is absolute!"

Suddenly, a barrage of laser blasts were shot from the air, each one precisely knocking back every hero, causing a sufficient amount of damage to all of them. As the group took a moment to recover, they noted a familiar orange gunship floating over Mewtwo and Corrin as it teleported the pair back on board. Simultaneously, a large amount of blue energy emitted from the gunship's front cannon, charging up a much more powerful laser intended on taking out the heroes.

"Great… More company?" Robin let out a disgruntled groan, attending to his injured shoulder from the laser blast he endured. "Yo, Link. How are you holding up over there?"

"Fine, I guess. Wasn't expecting that to happen though." Link grumbled out. Kneeling on one knee, Link turned over to his Hylian shield as he shook over to it in disappointment. "Errrgh… If only we hadn't lowered our guards down. Can't believe we fell for the oldest trick in the book."

"Gaah! They managed to get my wings!" Pit cried out, looking back to his angel wings as they appeared singed from the laser blast and momentarily preventing him from using his ability of flight. "Ughh, I'm going to need a good dip in the hot springs back at Alcamoth in order to fix these guys."

"Urrgh… Who is this now?" Lucina muttered out, struggling to stand up to their ambushers, only to fall back as she felt massive strain in her legs. "Gaah! They just had to hit my feet, didn't they?"

"Careful, don't strain yourself." Joker advised. Having landed beside Lucina, Joker did not hesitate to come to her aid, kneeling beside her as she sat up. Joker rested a hand on her shoulder and checked on her well-being. "Hey, you still good? How's the rest of your body doing?"

"I'm fine… Thanks for asking." Lucina reassured him. Looking up to Joker, she immediately noted the peculiar mask he wore and commented about it. "Huh… That mask you wear. It sort of reminds me of the time I wore once. Who are you?"

Before Joker could answer Lucina, he and the rest of his group were caught by surprise from Samus' voice echoing out from the gunship's cockpit. The heroes listened to the bounty hunter's menacing words at them. "You all have committed great sin in constantly defying the order of the Master Society. Now, your lives will remain in judgement at the hands of our masters. Pray that they will show mercy to your souls once we deliver you to them... if you dare to survive this attack!"

"Everyone! Hurry! Get out of the way!" Cloud shouted out to their group, motioning them to flee from the oncoming laser beam. Unfortunately, with the cannon already reaching its full charge in advance, the heroes had no time to escape. With a push of a button, Samus initiated her gunship's Zero Laser, firing it as she and the rest of the Strike Force members watched the heroes become engulfed by the devastating attack.

"No one shall stand up against the Master Society. Especially by some despicable kids who don't know any better." Samus proclaimed maliciously, her eyes occupied by the sight of the Zero Laser decimating remnants of Gaur Mushroom Plains in its path.

To be continued!

A/N: Here we go! Now we've got even more characters introduced into the story. Both Mewtwo and Corrin show up as the remaining members of the Master Society Strike Force team, joining the ranks of Samus Aran, Falco Lombardi, Shulk and Wario. I am certain many of you are familiar with Mewtwo since his introduction to Super Smash Bros. Melee and obviously his big influence in the main Pokemon series. And I know that some of you have been hoping for Corrin's appearance in the story, although I bet many of your weren't expecting her involvement with the antagonist group, heheh. I am sort of familiar with her character, playing as her in both Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Fates, with Birthright being the only edition I've really played through. With a powerful legendary Pokemon possession psychic powers and a warrior with dragon powers, the Master Society Strike Force grows even more threatening against Palutena's chosen paragon of heroes!

But who exactly are the masters they keep mentioning? Maybe, just maybe, you'll get to see their faces in the future, who knows?

Also, finally introducing the last main cast member of the story, Pyra and Mythra! A bit of personal history regarding their characters. I've managed to play through the entirety of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 last summer, plugging in roughly 250 hours into the entire game, which also includes the Golden Torna DLC. And I absolutely adored Pyra and Mythra's story and characters. So when the day came when the Nintendo Direct announced them as DLC for Fighter's Pass 2, I appropriately freaked out in excitement over their inclusion and couldn't wait to play as their characters in the game!

(And I don't care how broken they are right now. They are fun as heck to play as!)

Funnily enough, when writing up this story, I always had intentions to include Pyra and Mythra in some capacity, even before they were officially announced. But now that they are in a Smash Bros. game, their inclusions can be deemed appropriate in context of the fighter roster hahah. They may have only a brief introduction in this chapter, but they will get a moment to shine with the other heroes later in the story!

Anyways, thank you once again for all the support and dedicated readers! Have a safe and good week and I'll see y'all next time. Bye for now!
