As Scarlett was getting ready to leave for the Race wars track, her sister Mia smiled at her as she leaned in the doorway of the garage as she said, "So, Race wars huh? you haven't been there since Dom left. Why now sis? What changed?" and Scarlett smiled back at Mia as she leaned out her car window as she replied,

"You know, when I left sis, I needed to get away from all of this. The racing, the late night parties, LA in general. But...my past was gonna catch up with me sooner or later, and to be honest...I missed this, I missed us sis. and I get the feeling the track is calling my name. I forget sometimes we're a Toretto. Racing is and always will be in our blood, and who knows, maybe I'll see Roxanne down there. It would nice to see her again and catch up."

Mia then let out a small giggle as she said, "You still holding out hope her, huh? Well don't let me stop you from racing sis. Just remember Vince is coming to visit, I know things are rough between you two but...I'm hoping you both can at least be friendly to each other." Before Scalett then put the key in the ignition and placed her foot on the accelerator as she drove out of the garage and down to the Race wars track.

While they were on their way to the track, Lucy turned to Scarlett as she asked, "I know this isn't my place, but...why do you hate Vince so much?" and Scarlett let out a sigh as she answered, keeping her eyes on the road ahead,

"You wouldn't understand Lucy, he was supposed to be there for my brother Dom and have his back, but...he didnt. I don't know why and I don't care, Dom trusted him...now Dom's gone and it's up to me and Mia to look after each other."

Lucy then frowned a little as she said, "I get it Scarlett, you feel betrayed. But...maybe Vince has changed, maybe you should give him another chance." and Scarlett let out a heavy sigh as she scoffed,

"Betrayal seems to be running theme in my family...I will try and be nice to Vince, mainly for Letty and Mia's sake, not his. He has a lot of making up to do if he wants to earn my trust again. I can't promise I will give him a second chance."

Then Lucy looked at Scarlett as she nervously asked, "If you have been betrayed before, then...why do you trust me? Aren't you worried I will betray you?" and Scarlett shook her head a little as she smiled and replied,

"I trust you Lucy, because...you're different, you're new. It's hard to explain but...when I'm around you I just get this feeling you will be there no matter what. You're like my Ride or Die partner."

And Lucy blushed a little at Scarlett as she said, "Aww, that's so sweet Scarlett. You're not so much of a bad girl, and I will be happy to Ride with you." and Scarlett smirked at Lucy as she replied,

"You don't me that well yet Lucy, I'm only a bad girl for the people I want to be a Bad girl for. keep this up and you might make me do something I may or may not regret." before she leaned over and whispered in Lucy's ear, "I can be pretty bad when I want to be." which sent shivers down Lucy's spine. before Lucy smiled at Scarlett as she said,

"And what would I make you do that you may or may not regret then?"

Scarlett just smiled at Lucy as she replied, "Guess you'll have to find out won't you." as they continued driving and the Race wars track slowly came into view.

Race wars…

As Scarlett was getting closer and closer to the track, she could hear the roar of the crowd slowly getting louder and louder, and she could hear some rock music playing and as she parked her car, one of the racers shouted, "YO! TORETTO IS HERE!" and some half naked women flocked over to Scarlett's car as she took a woman in each arm much to the slightly jealous look on Lucy's face.

And as Scarlett walked with the women with Lucy following behind, she saw a tanned, middle aged man walking towards her with a smile on his face as the man said, "Scarlett! Senorita! It's so good of you to grace us with your presence. Have you come to Race?" and Scarlett gave the man a hug as she smiled back at him as she nodded her head as she replied,

"It's good to see you again too Carlos, of course I'm here to Race! you know me, you could never keep me away from the track for long. Lord knows how many times my brother Dom had to drag me away when I was little."

Carlos let out a small chuckle as he smiled and said, "Ci, ci, you always loved to race, even before Dom thought you were ready. How are things with...Jasmine? I think her name was?" and Scarlett froze for second at the mention of her now ex girlfriend's name, before she stumbled out,

"Oh...umm...you see the thing is…"

Lucy could see that Scarlett needed help, even if she didn't ask for any, so she stood next to Scarlett as she said to Carlos, "Scarlett and Jasmine aren't together anymore, they had a fight and Scarlett thought it would be best if they went their separate ways." and Scarlett mouthed a silent 'I owe you one' to Lucy before Carlos frowned a little as he replied,

"Oh no senorita, as they always say 'there's plenty of fish in the sea.' I hope you find yourself a lovely man or woman who makes you happy, I'm sorry things didn't work out for you with Jasmine."

Then Scarlett smiled slightly at Carlos as she asked him, "Enough about me and my love life, what's the prize money today?" and Carlos smiled at Scarlett as he answered,

"Glad you asked senorita, the prize money today is 10k to the person who makes first place today."

Lucy then smiled at Carlos as she asked, "Any idea on who Scarlett is racing today?" and Carlos smiled back at Lucy as he nodded his head and replied,

"Yes, today Scarlett will be racing one of the Shaw's. Deckard I think he said his name was." before he then added, "I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name senorita?"

And Lucy smiled at Carlos as she held out her hand and said, "I'm Lucy. I'm a friend of Scarlett's from San fransico." to which Carlos shook Lucy's hand as he replied,

"Well, it's lovely to meet you Lucy. You must be one lucky girl if have caught Scarlett's attention."

Scarlett then said to Carlos, "I better go and get ready then." before she went to walk back to her car, before she looked back at Carlos as she added, "Is DK here yet?" and Carlos shook his head as he said,

"No senorita, I haven't seen DK yet." before he then added, "The stage is all ready for you if you wish to warm up the crowd before your race."

And Scarlett smiled at Carlos as she said, "Thanks, I think I'll give the crowd a show they won't forget before I burn some rubber on the track." before she then made her way towards the staging area.

When Scarlett got to the staging area, one of the stage hands walked over to her and said, "Everything is good to go when you are Scarlett." and Scarlett smiled at the stage hand as she replied,

"Thanks, I'm about to blow the roof of this place!" before she then took a deep breath as she walked up the steps and onto the stage, where she stood up to the microphone as she said, "Are you guys ready to rock your socks off!" and the crowd roared with cheers before Scarlett said into the microphone, "Then let's get this party started!"

Then the backing track for you call me a bitch like it's a bad thing by Halestorm came on and Scarlett took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment as she leaned into the microphone and started singing,

"Took me to your little crib.

The crowd roared loudly with cheers and Scarlett smiled, her smile only seemed to get wider as she saw the disgusted look on her ex girlfriend's face as she stood next to DK at his car, before she then took a bow and said, "Thank you, you guys rock!" before she then turned to exit the stage, she could hear a few people in the crowd shouting,

"YOU ROCK SCARLETT! THAT SONG WAS AWESOME!"

As Scarlett walked to her car as she was about to get ready to race, Lucy smiled in awe at Scarlett as she said, "I think I just died and went to heaven! That. was. Amazing! My friends had always told me you sound better in person and now...I think I believe them." and Scarlett leaned against the door of her car as she smirked at Lucy as she replied,

"You've never heard me sing live before?"

Lucy shook her head as she said, "Not really, I never had time to see you live as I was always busy with college work. so I would listen to you whenever they played your song on the radio." before she then let out a small giggle as she added, "And if you ask me, I think you chose to sing that song to get back at Jasmine."

Scarlett shook her head as she smiled at Lucy and said, "Not really, but seeing the disgusted look she had on her face when she was standing next to her new boy toy DK, definetly made me feel like I made the right choice leaving her." before then both Scarlett and Lucy heard a Honda civic pulling up next to Scarlett's car, before Deckard got out of the car and leaned against the door after closing it as he smiled at Scarlett and said,

"Nice voice you have there babe, I almost feel bad about beating you today. Who's your cute friend next to you?"

And Scarlett rolled her eyes at Deckard as she replied, "Please, I could run laps around you. and for your information, this is Lucy. She's just a friend and here to watch me smoke you on the track today." Deckard then smirked at Scarlett as he said,

"I didn't know you were into chicks Scarlett. the winner gets 10k today, but what about we add to the stakes a little? Give you something worth racing for?"

Scarlett then looked at Deckard as she perked a brow as she replied, "What could I possibly want from you? My lancer treats me just fine." before she then added, "And for the record, me and Lucy are not dating, like I said, she's just a friend here to watch me smoke your ass on the track." and Deckard let out a small chuckle as he smirked and said,

"Let's say the winner gets 10k plus your cute friend. That good enough for you?"

Then Scarlett scowled at Deckard as she yelled, "LUCY IS NOT A BARGINING CHIP!" before she then quickly added, "You know what? You're on! Winner gets 10k and Lucy!" before she then climbed inside her car and slammed the door shut, Lucy then got inside on the otherside before she had a worried look on her face as she said to Scarlett,

"Is that all I am to you Scarlett? Just some bargining chip to use when you race?"

And Scarlett took a few deep breaths to calm herself before she looked at Lucy, she saw the hurt look in her eyes, the same look that reminded her of how she felt when she broke up with Jasmine, before she then placed a hand on her lap as she said to her, "Of course not Lucy, I would never treat you like that." before she then added, "I will smoke Deckard before I will let him anywhere near you, but you have to trust me, ok?"

Lucy then smiled slightly at Scarlett and nodded her head as she replied, "Ok, I trust you Scarlett." before Scarlett then placed her foot on the accelerator as she made her way to the starting line, with Deckard following behind her.

One of the women the stood in between the two cars with a flag as she said to both Scarlett and Deckard, "Ok, remember the person who gets first takes home 10k plus the woman sitting beside Scarlett." before she then held up the flag as she added, "Are you ready?" and both Scarlett and Deckard revved the engines of their cars, before the woman then waved her flag as she said, "GO!" and both Deckard and Scarlett raced off the starting line with Deckard slightly in front.

As they were quickly approaching the first corner, Scarlett smirked at Lucy as she said, "Watch this! and hold on tight!" and Lucy did what she was told as she gripped her seat as hard as she could as Scarlett put her foot on the brake and turned the steering wheel as she drifted around the corner before putting her foot on the accelerator again as she straightened out and was now slightly ahead of Deckard.

Deckard started to sweat a little as he knew he was losing, he quickly switched gears and slammed his foot on the accelerator as he tried to get enough speed as he could as he slowly caught up with Scarlett's car as they approached the next turn, and then he turned his steering wheel as he tried to overtake Scarlett heading into the next corner, but he could see that the hood of his car was beginning to smoke which wasn't a good sign.

They looped around the second corner and Scarlett shifted gears as she slammed her foot on the accelerator and floored it as fast as her car could handle, Deckard was slowly slipping away from her as he was finding it harder and harder to keep up with her speed, before everyone then heard a loud bang and Scarlett briefly looked back to see that Deckard's engine had blown and his car was slowly crawling to a stop.

The crowd roared loudly with cheers as they chanted, "Scarlett! Scarlett! Scarlett!" over and over as Carlos came over to Scarlett with the prize money and a microphone in hand as he said, "Ladies and gentlemen, today's winner, Scarlett Toretto!" and Scarlett put the brakes on her car before she exited to greet Carlos and accepted the prize money as Carlos said to her, "Congratulations senorita, I never doubted you for a second. you really are Dom's sister."

Scarlett then gave Carlos a hug as she smiled and said, "Thank you, I'm Dom's second sister, Mia is his first." and Carlos smiled at Scarlett as he replied,

"Perhaps you could bring Mia to the track with you sometime, I'm sure she would love it here."

And Scarlett let out a small giggle as she smiled and said, "We'll see Carlos, I would have to do a LOT of convincing to get Mia to come down here again, she stopped coming here after Dom left." this time Carlos let out a small chuckle as he said,

"Ci, that's true senorita, but you stopped coming here as well for a time...until today that is."

Both Scarlett and Carlos laughed, before Scarlett said, "True, but you know why I left in the first place. I wanted to see what else was out there waiting for me besides racing, but you also knew it would be a matter of time before I came back here and racing again." before Scarlett let out a small sigh as she added, "Anyway, it's been great to see you again Carlos. but...I better go and give DK his money before he causes a scene." before she then gave Carlos one final hug before walking over to DK and placed the case that contained the prize money on the boot of his car.

DK then smirked at Scarlett as he said, "I'm surprised you remembered our agreement. I was starting to think you might go into business for yourself." and just as DK was about to open the case which contained the prize money she earned, Scarlett scowled at DK as she growled,

"Hands off the money DK! The deal was I race for you and give you half of the winnings I make to pay off my brother's debt, in exchange for Jasmine's safety. But I'm not with Jasmine anymore so I don't care what happens to her anymore, the deal's off! You want the rest of your money? then find my brother Dom! WE. ARE. DONE!"

before she grabbed the case with the money and started walking away, but she stopped briefly as DK called out to her, "You should know Scarlett, I'm not a man you want to double cross or someone you want as an enemy. I would think carefully about your next words, as we wouldn't want any...unfortunate accidents to happen during the next race." enraged Scarlett scowled at DK as she growled,

"YOU DOUBLE CROSSED ME FIRST, SLEEPING WITH MY EX GIRLFRIEND BEHIND MY BACK! YOU SERIOUSLY DON'T WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT I AM Capable OF WHEN I'M MAD! SO YOU CAN TAKE YOUR THREAT AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!"

Later…

It was late and the drive home was almost silent, before Lucy looked at Scarlett and nervously asked, "A-are you ok Scarlett?" and Scarlett glanced over at Lucy as she plainly replied,

"Peachy."

Lucy then frowned a little as she said quietly, "You know you can talk to me about anything Scarlett, if you feel like it that is…" before she then quietly added while looking out of the window, "If not then...I'll just sit here quietly." and Scarlett let out a small sigh as she looked at Lucy and replied,

"Look, I'm not angry at you if that's what you think Lucy. I...I'm angry at myself for ever making that deal with that fucking prick DK. I did what I thought was right at the time for the woman I loved or at least...thought I loved. Now I just have to do what I can to protect Mia and the others."

And Lucy then place her hand on Scarlett's lap, causing her to blush a little from her touch, before she smiled at Scarlett as she said, "It's ok, I'm here for you Scarlett, as your friend. and I know you will do what you think is right to protect to the people you care about." and Scarlett was trying her best to concentrate on the road, as she stammered out,

"T-thanks Lucy, that means a lot. W-we're almost back now."

When they got back to the house, Scarlett saw a couple of cars parked outside. She assumed one of them had to belong to Vincent, but she was unsure of who the other car belonged to. They were both tired and Lucy was already fast asleep in the seat next to Scarlett, and Scarlett smiled a to herself as she looked at how peaceful Lucy looked in her sleep before getting out of the car.

Letty walked out to greet Scarlett as she gave her a hug and smiled as she said, "Welcome back, how did it go at the track today? You still have to race for DK?" and Scarlett returned the hug and smiled back at Letty before she held a finger up to her lips as she quietly replied,

"I told DK if he wants he rest of his money, he can find my brother Dom. the whole reason I made a deal with him in the first place was to protect Jasmine, but she's with that fucking prick now so I don't care what happens to her. I also scored 10k in winnings at the track today, even if I did have to put Lucy up for grabs thanks to Deckard." She briefly looked back at Lucy sleeping in her car before she looked back at Letty as she quietly added, "I know Vince was coming to visit, but who else is here? Also could you do me a favour and take Lucy to the guest room for now? I'll move her into my room later if I need to, I feel like this is gonna be a long night."

Letty nodded her head and smiled at Scarlett as she quietly said, "Of course mija, I'm proud of you for telling that asshole where to shove it." before she then quietly giggled as she added, "Looks to me like you and Lucy enjoyed your little "date" at the Race wars track, but you shouldn't use Lucy as a wager. I thought Dom taught you better than that. Leon wanted to stop by as well." before Letty then opened up the door of Scarlett's car and carefully lifted Lucy into her arms before carrying her inside the house to the guest room.

Scarlett then made her way to the house after Letty, as Brian leaned by the door and smiled at Scarlett as he said, "I heard you did well at the track today Scarlett, I even heard that you used your "girlfriend" as a wager, you know that's not cool right?" and Scarlett rolled her eyes at Brian as she replied,

"First of all, Lucy is NOT my girlfriend, she's just a friend I met at a coffee shop in San fransico. Secondly, I know it's "not cool" using Lucy as a wager, but Deckard didn't give me much of a choice, and I just really wanted to shut him up." before she then added, "If you are done interrogating me, hand me a beer. I feel like I'm gonna need it if Vince is here."

Brian then held his hands up in defense as he said, "Sheesh, I was just playing Scarlett, I'll get you a beer." before he then added, "So demanding tonight." before heading inside to get a beer for her, as Leon made his way over to Scarlett as he smiled and said,

"Yo, Scarett! How you been dog? I haven't seen you since you left for San fransico."

And Scarlett gave Leon a hug as she smiled and let out a small laugh as she said, "Yeah, I guess it has been a while hasn't it Leon. I've been good, recently broke up with my girlfriend." before she then added, "Please don't you start interrogating me as well, I'm not in the mood for anyone's shit tonight."

Leon then smiled as he said, "Relax girl, I know better than to mess with a woman when she is pissed. Sorry about your break up tho, something just didn't feel right when you hooked up with Jasmine." before he then added, "I saw Letty carrying some girl into the guest room a few minutes ago, she your new fling? Or do ya still have Roxanne on the mind?" and Scarlett playfully tapped Leon in the shoulder as she replied,

"Who Lucy? I'm not dating Lucy, I met her at a coffee shop when I was in San fransico before coming back here, and come on that's not fair using my crush on Roxanne like that. It's not like we will ever be together anyway."

Then Leon smirked as he said, "Oh so you do still like Roxanne, huh? You never know it could happen one day, but you don't know unless you try." and Scarlett was about to respond when Vincent came out to join them as he said,

"Get real Leon, Scarlett would never have a chance with someone like Roxanne, she couldn't even be loyal to her last relationship so what makes you think she would be loyal to Roxanne?"

Scarlett said nothing as she coldly glared at Vincent, before she eventually said with a slightly venomous tone, "Like how you were loyal to my brother?" before she looked at Leon as she added, "I'll be in the shop, I need some air." before walking away from the boys as she made her way towards the garage. Leon then looked at Vincent as he said,

"Damn, looks like the viper is out tonight. I'd be careful if I were you brother."

Vincent just shrugged his shoulders as he perked a brow and replied, "What's her problem? All I did was call it like I see it." and Leon put his hands up in defense as he said,

"Ay man, if you wanna poke the bear then be my guest. but leave me out of it, I do NOT wanna deal with a pissed off Scarlett. I'm more surprised she didn't punch you on sight after what you did."

Vincent then looked at Leon as he said, "That was four years ago! I swear that girl needs to let go of shit. Mia has gotten over it, why can't Scarlett?" Letty then joined the boys as she looked at Vincent and said,

"That's because Mia is a little more forgiving than Scarlett. Besides you've never been on the best terms with Scarlett, especially since you began criticising her choice of dates. I would suggest you talk to her and try and patch things with her." before she then quickly added, "AFTER, she's had some space. She didn't look like she was in the mood for anyone's shit when I saw her earlier, I don't even want to think about what she would do to you if you tried talking to her in the mood she's in at the moment."

Vincent then looked at Letty and rolled his eyes as he said, "Why me? Why can't you ask buster or Mia to talk some sense into her? She seriously been holding a grudge against me for four years? I had my reasons why I did what I did, and I sure as hell ain't apologising to Scarlett." before Letty then puched Vincent in his stomach, causing him to hunch over a little as he gasped for air and dropped his beer, before she grabbed him by his ear as she growled,

"You know, I was gonna wait until Scarlett had cooled off a little, but I think it might make her feel a little better kicking your ass!"

Leon then looked a little shocked at Letty as he said, "You can't be serious Letty, Scarlett would tear him to pieces with the mood she's in at the moment." and Letty glared at Leon as she replied,

"I'm deadly serious Leon! Vincent's had this ass whooping coming to him for a long time. Unless you're offering to have your ass kicked as well?"

And Leon shook his head as he said, "K, point made. Mama bear has spoken. Don't let me get in the way of you throwing Vincent to the wolves." before he then watched as Letty dragged Vincent by his ear towards the garage where Scarlett was.

Meanwhile…

Inside the garage, Scarlett let out a bloodcurdling yell as she picked up the nearest toolbox and launched it across the room as some tools spilled from the box after slamming against the wall, and Mia leaned against the door of the garage after hearing some tools flying across the floor before she looked at Scarlett as she asked, "You good sis?" and Scarlett looked up at her sister and took a few deep breaths to calm herself a little before she let out a sigh and shook her head as she replied,

"No, I'm not good sis. Vincent hasn't changed at all! He's still the same asshole I knew four years ago! It was stupid of me to think things would be different, to think he might have changed in the last four years I saw him."

Mia then slowly walked towards her sister and wrapped her arms around her in a hug, before she let out a sigh as she said, "I told Vince to be nice to you as I knew you hadn't forgiven him for he did. But...trust Vince to fuck it up the first chance he gets. I'm surprised you didn't try and kill him the moment you laid eyes on him." and Scarlett smiled a little at her sister as she replied,

"Trust me sis, I have more restraint than you think. nothing would make me happier than kicking his ass, the only reason I haven't done it yet is because I don't want to wake Lucy, she's sleeping at the moment and I've had a rough day as it is. in the mood I'm in at the moment I might actually kill Vincent, even if he would deserve it."

And Mia let out a small giggle as she said to her sister, "Ok, I know you hate him, but that would be going a little extreme sis, however I do agree that Vincent needs some sense knocked into him and if I know anyone who could knock some serious sense into Vincent it would either be you or Letty." before she then added, "But when has someone sleeping stopped you from kicking someone's ass? I remember Dom having to get up one night to stop you and Leon from killing each other, unless...you're in love with Lucy."

Scarlett then looked at her sister as she scoffed, "If we're going down that road sis, the only reason you spend so much time with Brian is because you have a crush on him. Am I wrong? and me and Leon fighting was different, we were drunk and it got a little out hand." before she then added, "Besides, maybe I do like Lucy a little more than friends. I will tell Lucy how I feel when the time is right, I'm still getting over a break up remember?"

Letty then walked into the garage, dragging Vincent by his ear before letting go as she said with a smirk on her face, "Hey Scarlett, present for you. have fun." and Mia ran over to Letty as she said to her with a worried look on her face,

"Are sure this is a good idea Letty? Scarlett was just telling me she could actually kill Vincent with the mood she is in."

Letty then looked at Mia and smiled as she said, "Relax, I'll step in and break it up if I think Scarlett is taking things a little too far. Besides Mia, we both know Vincent had this coming to him for a long time." Vincent looked at Letty with fear in his eyes as he pleaded,

"Letty please, I'll do anything! just don't leave me in here with Scarlett, the chick looks like she's ready to kill me!"

Scarlett then glared daggers into the back of Vincent's head as she growled, "You…" and Vincent slowly turned to look at Scarlett with fear in his eyes and whimpered a little...
