The next morning, the villagers were doing their work as usual as Kara was trying to get them to rebel against Einon. But neither of them didn't listen and rejected her.

"Throw off the yoke of Einon's oppression!" Kara said.

The villagers however threw lettuce and other food at her.

"We must start to fight back!" Kara said.

"Your father sang that sour tune once, and we did fight back." A villager man with an eye patch over his left eye said. "And once was enough! We'll not dance to it again!"

"No, Hewe, just cringe like a dog under Einon's boot." Kara said calling him a coward in some words.

"Well, at least a cringing dog's a live one!" Hewe said grabbing a melon from a passing villager woman carrying a basket.

He was about to throw at Kara.

"Hey!" Bowen suddenly appearing on his horse and takes the melon. "Why waste good food on bad rhetoric?"

He then jabs the melon against his shield.

"I speak the truth." Kara said.

Bowen laughed. "Truth?" He said. "It's rarely inspiring, lass. And it never wins rebellions... but it will stretch necks, if there is a neck underneath that little mud pie." He noted Kara's face all stained.

Kara then took the melon, and then slams it in Bowen's face as an insult of what he said.

And the other villagers laughed.

Then suddenly a high-pitch banshee whistle rang through the sky. And then Draco, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch, and Windshear came flying towards the village.

"Ready or not, here I come!" Draco called out.

Toothless roars out.

"DRAGON!" A woman yelled.

They all started running for their lives as Bowen finished wiping off the melon seeds off him.

And the dragons near the village.

"It's Draco!" Draco called out.

"About time." Bowen said.

Draco flew over a hut as his tail-spade hits the roof. And then Stormfly and Windshear send tail spines flying through the air as they hit the ground.

And then the 7 dragons landed on a nearby ledge outside the village.

"Hmm!" Draco licked his lips.

Hookfang then growled and lit himself.

"It seems you people are in need of a dragonslayer." Bowen said.

The villagers remained silent.

"Where is the lord responsible for this village?" Bowen asked.

Hewe poked his head out from a hut. "Brok lives in a big house 6 miles away. But he'll only blame any damage on us and pluck our pockets to pay for it."

"I won't pluck them as deeply." Bowen said. "I'll make you a fair offer. Take it, or leave him!" He gestured to the dragons.

Then Draco fires a blast through his nose roaring out, and Toothless roared loudly as he glowed blue and fired a plasma blast in the air. Hookfang as well roared with his whole body lit up on fire.

The sight was enough for the villagers to cringe down into hiding.

Kara peaked out of hiding from behind a basket near the hut.

"It's enough you people grovel to Einon." Kara said. "Will you be bullied by some broken-down, blackmailing knight as well?"

Bowen then laughed.

"That's right, you don't need me." Bowen said. "Settle it yourself."

Close by, 3 girls came out of hiding.

"Of course, there are other ways." Bowen said. "Perhaps you'll part with one of your daughters, instead of gold."

Hewe yelled and rushed out of the hut, and got to the 3 girls as he was their father.

"Dragons are partial to maiden sacrifices, I hear." Bowen said.

Moments later, the villagers had Kara tied to a beam and cart as they pushed out as if they want nothing to do with her anymore.

"Don't do this!" Kara begged. "Don't do this to me! I-I was born in this village! You knew my father! You knew my mother!"

"What's going on?" Hiccup asked.

"Who's the girl?" Draco asked as Bowen arrived.

"A nuisance." Bowen said. "Get rid of her."

"Why?" Draco asked.

"They're trying to placate you with a sacrifice." Bowen said.

"Okay, that's just wrong." Astrid said.

"Now, whoever gave them that bright idea?" Draco questioned.

"Is this girl pretty?" Snotlout asked hoping for a girlfriend.

"Don't get any ideas." Heather said.

"Never mind." Bowen said. "Just get rid of her!"

"How?" Draco asked.

"Eat her!" Bowen said.

"Oh, please! Yuck!" Draco said.

"What do you mean "yuck"?!" Snotlout said.

"Yeah, you could easily eat any one of us in 1 bite." Tuffnut said.

"Aren't we squeamish?" Bowen said. "You ate Sir Eglamore, hypocrite."

"I merely chewed in self-defense, but I never swallowed." Draco corrected.

"Improvise." Bowen said.

"All right, all right." Draco said flying off.

Toothless and the other dragons then followed him.

The villagers already got Kara into place, and then the dragons appeared.

"He's coming!" Hewe said. "Quick!"

They quickly flee as Kara tried to get free, and then screamed as Toothless landed in front of her and roared. And then Draco came in at a lunging forward, and then grapples the carts and flies off with her.

And then Toothless followed along with the other dragons.

The villagers flee as 2 fell into a pond as the cart fell into the water.

Later, Bowen rode his horse through the forest as the Riders followed him.

But then they heard what sounded like singing.

"Is that singing?" Fishlegs wondered.

"Where's it coming from?" Astrid wondered.

Nearby, by the waterfall, Draco was the one singing as Kara sat on some rocks near him with the other dragons.

And Draco soon finished.

"You have a beautiful voice." Kara said.

"Oh, thank you." Draco said. "We dragons love to sing when we're happy."

"Well, you're not like a dragon at all." Kara said.

"Well, how many dragons do you know?" Draco asked with a kind of seductive look.

"Well, you're the first." Kara said. "Along with your 6 other friends."

"You should never listen to minstrels' fancies." Draco said. "A dragon would never hurt a soul, unless they tried to hurt him first."

"Really?" Kara said crossing her arms. "Then why were you in my village?"

"Oh! The village!" Draco exclaimed and cursed himself.

Then suddenly Bowen appeared with the Riders behind him.

"Yes, the village!" Bowen said. "You remember the village?"

"Leave him alone, you bully!" Kara said grabbing her dagger and slid down off the rocks. "Run, Draco, fly! I'll hold him!"

Draco secretly told Bowen and slid a finger over his neck.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Kara said pointing the dagger at Bowen.

"Where have you been?" Bowen asked.

"I'm truly sorry, Bowen." Draco apologized. "I've been distracted. Bowen, meet Kara."

"You should have eaten her." Bowen said.

Kara then lowered the dagger completely confused.

"Oh, don't get angry, Bowen." Draco said.

"Why not?" Bowen questioned turning to him. "You left me high and dry. I was worried to death!" He kneels down by the river's edge.

"Worried? About me?" Draco frowned.

"Yes, about you!" Bowen said. "I had the whacker all set up." He cleared his face with some water. "Half the village is out there with me. We're searching the skies for you, I don't know where you are."

Suddenly, Draco quickly turns and heads off, and Toothless and the other dragons followed him.

"If you're coming back, when you're coming back." Bowen said getting up. "You just-"

He then saw Draco was gone.

"Toothless?" Hiccup frowned.

"Disappear." Bowen finished.

They then turned and saw Draco's tail slithering through the waterfall. And Toothless and the other dragons hid above it.

"Be careful!" Draco said. "He's coming!"

"Who?" Hiccup frowned.

They looked over and then saw Einon on his horse along with Brok and 3 other men trotting down the trail. And then Einon laughed as they stared at him, even the Riders were uneasy with him.

"Einon, I presume?" Hiccup said.

"Yes." Bowen said.

Astrid and Heather then brought out their axes, incase of a fight.

"Well, well, well, it can't be!" Einon smugly said. "But it is! My old mentor. Still giving carving lessons?"

"Get off your horse. I'll give you one." Bowen said.

"Time's not been kind to you, Bowen." Einon said. "You should never have broke with me."

"It was you who broke with me!" Bowen retorted.

"And yet you return to me with this girl I lost." Einon said mentioning Kara.

Bowen turns to Kara as she shook her head holding the dagger out. As she would rather die than go back with that monster.

"I think she wants to stay lost." Bowen said.

"Not her decision, I'm afraid!" Einon yelled back.

"Why you..." Astrid gritted her teeth.

"Easy." Hiccup said quickly holding her back.

Einon then held a hand up to Brok, and then got off his horse and walks forward and brought out his sword.

Bowen stared.

"I'm ready for my lesson now, Knight." Einon said.

Bowen then steps into the river approaching him, and nears him as they confront each other.

Then Bowen brought out his sword as they clashed each other's swords. The clashed their swords as Bowen swung his sword but missed and hits the water. Then Einon charged as they clashed, he yelled as he swung his arm but then Bowen held his sword over his right shoulder.

"That's 1 lesson you never learned!" Bowen said. "Only expose your back to a corpse!"

Einon then clashed his sword away.

"You are a corpse!" Einon said madly. "You just don't know it!"

They continued clashing their swords as they all watched, and the Riders knew it was best to stay out of the way for now.

Einon jabs his sword forward, and swung Bowen's sword and pushed him back against the river side pointing his sword at him.

"Lie down, Bowen!" Einon demanded madly. "You're the sorry scrap of dead worlds and dead beliefs."

"NO!" Bowen yelled clashing Einon's sword aside and got up. "They were your beliefs!"

"Never." Einon said madly. "Never mine."

They continued clashing sword as Kara and the Riders watched concernedly.

And Brok held his sword waiting.

"You said the words!" Bowen said. "You spoke them from your heart!"

"I vomited them up because I couldn't stomach them!" Einon coldly said. "Because I knew it was what you wanted to hear!"

He then clashed his sword as Bowen's.

"Lies! Liar!" Bowen yelled refusing to believe it. "I taught you!"

"I taught you to fight, that's all!" Einon coldly yelled. "I took what I needed from you. You taught me to fight!"

They then clashed their swords, and then Einon slid Bowen's aside and then jabs the tip of his sword at Bowen's right shoulder. Bowen groaned in pain as he was pinned against a rock.

Hiccup then brought out his Inferno.

Einon madly laughs. "You taught me well."

He then removes the sword tip from his shoulder coated in blood, and as Bowen held his wound.

Einon then backs away from him, and then placed his sword in it's sheath and turns to leave. But then madly grins as he reaches for his dagger, he then turns readies to throw at him to finish him.

But then suddenly Draco lunges between them as well as Toothless and Draco roared, and then he rose up grabbing a scute scale on his neck with his right hand. And then lifts it up revealing a scar underneath it lit red. And then a heartbeat was heard as Draco glared at him, and then Toothless glowed blue and then stood up and then roars out loudly.

Einon stared at the 2 dragons as it was probably Draco who got his real attention, and for the first time in 12 years fear was shown on his face. Einon pants heavily as he then runs off and got back on his horse and they ran off as Toothless roared and snorted.

Draco growled as he narrowed his eyes watching them retreat.

"Who asked you to interfere?" Einon inquired. "I had everything under control!"

They all stood by the river as Einon and his men were now gone.

Later, they headed down a trail as Bowen placed a hand over his wound.

"Here, let me see." Kara said.

Kara then checked the wound as it was recently stitched.

"It's knitted well." Kara said.

"You have a healer's touch, Kara." Bowen said. "In a few days, it'll be just another scar."

"And what's 1 more scar?" Kara inquired. "To a knight, I mean. I once knew a knight. He stood all alone against an evil king and even saved a rebel leader from blinding him."

Bowen then turns to her.

"He must have had many scars." Kara said.

"That knight died of his wounds long ago." Bowen said.

"That's too bad." Kara said. "His kind is badly missed in this world."

"That's the way the wretched world is, girl." Bowen said.

"Doesn't have to be." Kara said. "Men like you could- could lead others. You give people courage and hope."

"Hope?" Bowen said. "Even if you could raise your army... do you think they'd stand a chance against seasoned troops? Last time they tried it was a massacre. I remember. I was there."

"So was I." Kara said. "That rebel was my father. Let others stand with you. You'll see this time the end will be different. What are you looking at?"

"Myself, once upon a time." Bowen said.

Then flapping wing was heard Bowen heads off with his horse.

"I'll see you in the village, Draco." Bowen said.

"That's easy for you to say." Draco said flying by them.

Toothless and the other dragons followed him.

"This time I'll collect the money, and you can die." Draco said.

The 7 dragons flew over the river.

Patches of fire burn as well as smoke in a village by a river, and villagers stood at the center of the village.

And Bowen had just recently arrived.

A man likely the villager leader was counting the amount of gold in a bag. And ties it, which the bag was actually a skinned-out pig head.

"We can lose no more pigs to this dragon." The man said.

He hands the pig bag to Bowen.

"Wait!" A voice yelled.

They turned and saw Kara rushing across the bridge.

"This man is a fraud!" Kara yelled.

The villagers then murmured and confusion as Bowen turns to them as the man held a large chopping ax.

"It's her!" Bowen said gesturing to her. "This girl is a... wandering idiot. She babbles nonsense."

"I'm telling you, this knight is no dragonslayer." Kara said.

"You're mistaken, my child!" A new voice was suddenly said.

They then saw Brother Gilbert walking across another bridge.

"Oh, not him again." Snotlout groaned.

"He's the greatest dragonslayer there is!" Gilbert said. "Possibly the greatest there ever will be!"

"Brother Gilbert!" Bowen said.

"Bowen!" Gilbert said. "You're alive. Praised the saints." He walks pass some pigs. "The saints be blessed. You're alive! And... whole."

"Brother Gilbert." Bowen said.

"You could not put your trust in a better man." Gilbert said turning to the villagers. "I personally have seen him slay almost 2 dragons."

"Oh, Brother Gilbert." Bowen said.

"Almost." Kara inquired.

Bowen and Gilbert turn to her.

"Well, I didn't see the death blow of the second... but as Bowen is here, he must have won." Gilbert admitted. "And managed to fight off 6 more."

"No!" Kara shook her head.

They turn back to her.

"Don't you see?" Kara said. "He's in league with the dragon."

Gilbert frowned in confusion and turns to Bowen. And then Bowen turns to the villagers as well as Gilbert.

Then the village leader started laughing, and soon the other villagers laughed as Kara stared with her arms crossed. And even Snotlout and the twins joined in, but stopped when Astrid shot them a glare. Even Bowen laughed.

Minutes later, a harpoon was nearly ready.

"Hold that there." Bowen said.

Soon, the harpoon was ready as they soon saw the dragons.

"And here he comes." Bowen said pulling out his sword.

Soon, Draco flew towards the village with Toothless and the other dragons behind him. And then Toothless and Hookfang got ahead of Draco, and then Bowen slashed his sword at the rope. And the harpoon swiftly flew by an inch missing both Toothless and Hookfang as they fake they were in pain.

And Draco quickly caught the harpoon and placed it under his left front leg.

"Ow!" Draco cried in fake pain.

They then fell through the air towards the water, they then hit the water which was actually several feet deep. And they landed on their heads, and fell back as Draco knocked down a few old trees in the water.

Seeing that the water wasn't very deep, they quickly play dead.

"Sink! Sink!" Bowen said.

"I can't!" Draco said trying not to be seen alive. "It doesn't get any deeper!"

"Well done, Bowen!" Gilbert said not noticing the smirk Kara had. "You've done it again! This time 3! What a brute! That's even bigger than the last one!"

Bowen glanced back. "Actually, he's about the same size."

"Should we be worried?" Fishlegs whispered to Hiccup.

"Uh..." Hiccup was unsure how to reply.

Then, the villagers start to come out of hiding, and saw the 3 dragons on the bank.

"Meat." One of them said.

"Meat." The lead villager said.

"Meat! Meat!" The villagers chatted out.

And then they rushed off by Bowen, Kara, Gilbert and the Riders and jumped into the water.

"Oh, dear." Draco said lifting his head up getting nervous.

Toothless and Hookfang then lifted their heads up and their turn to each other as the villagers were about to have them for dinner.

The 3 dragons then quickly rolled getting to their feet, and the villagers saw them trying to escape.

"Run! He's getting away!" A villager said.

The villagers quickly chased after Draco, Toothless and Hookfang as they hurried through the marsh. And soon they managed to get a footing on solid ground, and quickly flew off.

Bowen, Kara, Gilbert and the Riders stood by the harpoon as they watched the whole thing.

"Uh-oh." Bowen said knowing they're in trouble.

"This is a problem." Snotlout said.

The villagers then turn back towards the group.

"Time to go." Tuffnut quickly said and rushed off.

Ruffnut then followed him.

"What's going on?" Gilbert asked all confused.

"Meat!" The lead villager said with a cannibalistic look.

"Meat! Meat! Meat!" The villagers chatted.

And then they charges towards them.

"I'm with Tuffnut." Snotlout said.

He then quickly runs off along with Fishlegs, Hiccup, Astrid and Heather quickly followed.

"Run." Kara said. "That's what's going on!"

She then runs off.

"Run." Bowen said and ran off.

"Run?" Gilbert frowned.

Bowen quickly got on his horse as Kara continues running, but the villagers quickly arrived.

"Kara! Kara!" Bowen yelled.

Bowen quickly rushed in on his horse as he quickly helped Kara on. They quickly ran off as they knocked a villager off his feet as well as a stand holding fish.

Gilbert tries to leave by using the bridge, but other villagers have the bridge blocked.

"Peace, brothers, peace!" Gilbert said as they ran across the bridge. "Heathens!" He then panicked.

"Brother Gilbert!" Bowen said rushing towards him.

He was quickly helped up into Bowen's horse as they hurried off. But then Gilbert saw that his right hand on Kara's chest.

"Oh, good lord." Gilbert said quickly removing his hand off. "Forgive me, my child." He then holds on to Bowen's arm.

They tried to escape as they were soon surrounded by the deranged villagers armed to the teeth, and were soon trapped.

"Liar! Liar!" A woman yelled.

Soon the lead villager appeared.

"No dragon, no charge." Bowen said tossing back the pig bag.

"Meat. Meat." The villagers said.

The lead villager stepped over the bag as they begin to close in on them. "Meat. Meat. Meat."

Then suddenly, Draco lands on the ground as the villagers ran for their lives and Draco quickly grabs them and the horse and they quickly flew off.

They flew high through the air as they join up with the Riders.

"We're going to die!" Gilbert cried in fear. "God help us! We're all going to die!"

"Oh, shut up!" Snotlout snapped.

"Calm yourself, Brother Gilbert, we're going to die." Bowen said. "We're just... flying."

"If you're going to get yourself killed... you might as well do it in the fight against Einon." Kara said.

"I think Kara has a point." Gilbert admitted. "Oh! But I'd rather discuss it on the ground."

Hours later, they were still in the air as they near the coast, they soon saw what looked like the castle remains on a cliff through the mist.

"Draco, what unholy place is this?" Bowen asked.

"Unholy?" Draco said in disbelief. "This is Avalon, the resting place of King Arthur himself."

Towards night, they were at the castle ground.

"This place is amazing." Fishlegs said.

"So it was foretold... and so have I found you, brave King Arthur." Gilbert said. "And let the..."

"Valor, virtue, truth." Draco said standing on an old column. "Ah, yes, truth."

"Amen." Gilbert said and got up. "Ready now, Kara."

Kara turns to him.

"And you, Bowen?" Gilbert asked. "This is Avalon, the shadow realm of the Round Table. It's a divine omen."

"Omens won't win battles." Bowen said. "Nor will you. And you'll find out when you try to raise your army. You already know the courage in your village. They're very brave at pelting young girls with vegetables." He went up to Kara.

"It must start somewhere." Kara said.

"Even if you can, Einon has probably a hundred soldiers by him." Astrid said.

"Will you wish us luck, Draco?" Kara asked.

Draco then turns to them. "Long ago, when man was young and the dragon already old... the wisest of our race took pity on man. He gathered together all the dragons making them vow to watch over man always. And at the moment of his death the night became alive with those stars." He gestured to the Constellation Draco in the night sky. "And thus was born the dragons' heaven. But when we die, not all dragons are admitted to this shining place."

"Really?" Heather said.

"No, we have to earn it." Draco said. "And if we don't... our spirit disappears as if we never were."

"So, how do you earn a place up there?" Hiccup asked.

"That's why I shared my life force with a dying boy so I would reunite man and dragon and ensure my place among my ancient brothers of the sky." Draco said. "But my sacrifice became my sin."

"It was you." Bowen said now realizing something. "Your heart beats in Einon's breast."

Draco then flew down near Bowen.

"Yes, my half-heart that cost me all of my soul." Draco confessed. "Even then I knew his bloodthirsty nature... but I thought my heart could change him. My God, I was so naive."

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Hiccup said. "A year ago I thought I could change a madman's mind about dragons. If only I'd just listened from time to time."

Astrid placed a hand on his shoulder.

"No more than I." Bowen said. "All my life I've dreamed of serving noble kings... noble ideals. Dreams die hard and you hold them in your hands long after they've turned to dust." He then turns to Draco. "I will not be that naive again!"

Draco then lifts his head up. "Kara, I will go with you."

Everyone remained silent for a few moments.

Then Bowen walks off away from them.

"So be it." Draco said. "Farewell, Bowen."

They then begin to leave.

Later into the night, Bowen shelters under a ruin of the castle as it started to rain.

Lightning flashed as he remained silent.

"Valor!" A voice was heard.

Bowen looked around to see where it was coming from.

"Valor! Valor. A Knight is sworn to valor."

Bowen got up and walks out into the storm as the voices continued, and went over to where the Round Table used to be.

And then a light appeared, and Bowen looked over to a column and then saw a ghostly figure. Bowen stared at it and he realized it was the ghost of King Arthur, and nears it and got to his knees.

"A knight is sworn to valor."

"A knight is sworn to valor!" Bowen said.

"His heart knows only virtue."

"His heart knows only virtue!"

"His blade defends the helpless."

"His blade defend the helpless!"

"His might upholds the weak."

"His might upholds the weak!"

"His word speaks only truth."

"His word speaks only truth!"

"His wrath undoes the wicked!"

"His wrath undoes the wicked!"

Bowen then lowers his head, and within a few moments the light fades away. And Bowen turns to the column, and then stepping from the darkness was Draco.

Bowen then got to his feet, and took a few steps back as Draco joins next to him, and then holds his right wing over Bowen as the rain continues falling.

The next day, Kara and Gilbert were at the village discussing with Hewe at a goat pen, and was still rejecting the idea of attacking Einon.

"Now I know you're completely mad." Hewe said thinking it was about her getting revenge for her father. "You want us to follow you and a priest against Einon? Along with 7 outsiders?"

"Yes." Kara said.

"To hell, more like." Hewe said dismissively.

"But this time we can win." Kara said. "You don't understand."

"I don't want to understand!" Hewe snapped trying to as clear as he could. "I understand this!" He gestured to his eyepatch. "I understand 6 years in a quarry! That's all I need to understand!"

"I know. Believe me, I know what you've been through, Hewe." Kara said. "But this time we've been joined-"

"Only a fool would be mad enough to join you!" Hewe said.

"Oh, Hewe, you're not listening to what I'm saying!" Kara said.

"I don't want to listen to you!" Hewe said grabbing a shovel. "I've had enough of your mischief-!" He then raised it and about use it to knock some real sense into her.

But before he could, an arrow, and a blue and silver spine hit the foot of the shovel.

They then saw Bowen riding on his horse heading towards them, and soon got to them.

"Save your strength for the fight against Einon." Bowen said.

"There isn't any fight against Einon." Hewe said.

"I'm going to start one." Bowen said.

Kara and Gilbert turn to each other.

"You and what army, Knight?" Hewe said.

Bowen then rides off on his horse, and they watched as he got to the hilltop. And then Draco, Hiccup and the Riders on their dragons flew up from the hilltop and flew over them.

And then Toothless roars out.
