Harry appeared in the Weasley Living room and a feeling of relief engulfed him. He loved it here and he was going to be spending the rest of the summer here. Ron walked behind him and grabbed his hand to drag the boy into the kitchen. Once he was in the kitchen he saw Ginny and Hermione sitting at the table talking about History of Magic homework.
Mrs. Weasley is at the counter cooking something. Harry could smell it. He could only think one word. Delicious! Mrs. Weasley finally noticed Harry and let out a bit of a shriek. She ran over to him and engulfed him in a hug.
"Oh, Harry. Love it's nice to see you," she said while caressing his back. Harry noticed Ron put on a smile but he could tell it was fake. Hermione and Ginny finally noticed Harry as well. They were both surprised. The two girls stand up.
Hermione hugs her friend and then when she lets go Ginny does the same thing. Harry's happy. Something he hasn't been in about a month.
"It's nice to see you all," Harry said once they all said their welcomes.
"How was your summer, Harry?" Hermione asked the boy.
"Could've been better," he answered honestly.
Mrs. Weasley walked into the living room so Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny followed. Mr. Weasley was sitting in front of the twins and he was scolding them before the five came in obviously.
"You'd best hope I don't tell your mother," Mr. Weasley said very sternly
"Tell me what? What happened now?" Mrs. Weasley asked. Mr. Weasley noticed her and quickly turned to face her. He didn't want to answer her. "Arthur?"
"We should go upstairs. I don't think we want to hear this," Ginny whispered so that the other three were the only ones to hear. The three nodded and followed her up the stairs. They could start to hear the beginning of an argument and knew it was best for them to leave the situation.
The four walked into the room. Ginny sat at Ron's desk. Hermione sat on a cot (which Harry would be sleeping on) and Ron and Harry sat on Ron's bed.
"Harry, have you met Bill and Charlie?" Hermione asked as she started to dust off the cot to sit down.
"I've met Charlie. Remember the," he leaned in and whispered, "Dragon. Norbert."
"Who's Norbert?" Ginny asked. The other three immediately looked at her confused as to what to say.
"Should we tell her?" Hermione asked.
"I don't know," Ron said, looking between Harry and Hermione.
"Yes! I want to know?" Ginny said.
"Fine. Norbert's a dragon," Ron said standing up to fix one of his many Chudley Cannon Posters.
"And…" Ginny said.
"That we gave to Charlie," Ron said walking back to the table.
Harry smiled recalling the adventure they went on in their first year when it came to the dragon. He remembered that was long before he was having dreams of Lord Voldemort. Ginny on the other hand looked flabbergasted.
"You guys gave Charlie a dragon," Ginny asked in disbelief.
"Yes. He was the only one we knew that would take the dragon," Hermione told the girl.
"And where did you guys get a dragon from?" Ginny asked the three. This is what they definitely couldn't tell Ginny. Not because they didn't trust her but because they all swore to protect Hagrid no matter what. Just when Ron was opening his mouth they could hear Mrs. Weasley yells from downstairs.
"Ginny! Ron! Hermione! Harry! Can you guys come downstairs?" she said. The four stood up and they walked out the room and down the many floors. Harry stopped at the landing and so did Ron.
"I wonder what she's going to have us do," Ron said, patting his friend's back. Ron walked into the kitchen and Harry followed. Once they were in the kitchen all four of them were standing around the kitchen table.
"I need you all to help set up," Mrs. Weasley started. "Bill and Charlie are bringing the tables together. Fred and George have the chairs. Ron and Harry, I need you two to help Fred and George. Ginny, Hermione I need you two to grab the plates, and forks, and things and bring them outside once the boys are done setting the table up. Percy's going to have to bring the tablecloth. Percy! Percy! Go on now."
All four of them started to move around to do their tasks. Ron and Harry walked outside and went to the shed to pick up some of the chairs. They turn and go to the yard of the burrow.
When they walked over they saw Bill and Charlie holding the tables in the air banging them against each other in a duel-like fashion. Fred and George were cheering them on while they held their chairs in the air, waving them around. Harry noticed a movement behind and he saw that Percy had just opened his window.
"Hey! Will you two stop it!" Percy demanded. The two boys ignored Percy's request as always.
"Perce mom needs you!" Ron yelled up at the boy so that he could hear.
Percy sighed and said something under his breath. He stood up and closed the window. Bill and Charlie sat the tables down on the ground. Fred, George, Ron, and Harry put the chairs on the tables. Ginny and Hermione walked out with plates, forks, and napkins. All six stood there waiting for Percy.
Percy finally walked out with his father. Percy put the tablecloth onto the table and walked back to the house. Hermione and Ginny started to put the plates and napkins and utensils on the table. The two girls were in discussion about something but Harry quite frankly didn't know what it was.
Once they're done everyone sat down, the food was on the table and Mrs. Wealsey and Percy were walking back outside. Mr. Weasley is at one end of the table. On his right sat Charlie, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Bill, and Molly on the end. On her right, it was Percy, Ginny, Fred, and George.
Everyone started to eat dinner. Ginny and Percy were engaged in a conversation with Molly about his job.
"Mr. Crouch has been working extremely hard this past summer. This event ought to be extremely worth it," Percy said.
Harry looked at Ron who shook his head. "He's been talking about this event the entire summer. I think he wants us to ask him what it is."
Harry understood. "That's amazing. Oh dear how far you've come. I'm so proud of you," he heard Mrs. Weasley say.
"So are you still with Penelope Clearwater?" Ginny asked, trying to be nosy.
Percy choked on his water. Fred and George immediately start to laugh making the whole table notice. "Who I am or am not dating is none of your concern Ginny. Maybe you should go and write in your diary."
Everyone at the table looked confused beside Hermione and Ginny. What type of insult was that?
"Percy with all due respect you do not know how to insult people," Fred told his older brother.
Ginny's drink then spilled all over Percy. Percy immediately stood up. "Oops. I'm so sorry Percy," she said trying to hide a smirk.
"Oh, what did I expect. It seems you have an affinity for water. Isn't that right? Having something run amok through the sewers. I hope it doesn't pass down to your descendants though. Enemies of Ginny's heir beware… of water." The entire table finally understood where Percy was going with this.
"You know what you stuck up, pompous, little mamma's boy-"
"Ginerva!" Mrs. Weasley interrupted. "Apologize right this second."
"Are you going to make him apologize?" Ginny asked her mother.
"Ginny just apologize," Mrs. Weasley said looking flustered.
"I'm not apologizing to him until he apologizes to me"
"I won't be apologizing to anyone," Percy added. Mrs. Weasley didn't say anything. Ginny stared at her waiting for an answer. The entire table was silent.
"Ugh! You always take his side," Ginny said. She ran off and went into the Burrow leaving the dinner behind.
"I'll go talk to her," Bill said and he walked over to the Burrow. Everyone continued to eat their dinner not letting the commotion ruin it.
"So Charlie, how's Norbert?" Ron asked.
"Oh! Well, actually it's a she and her name's Norberta. We figured it out about a week after you gave her to us," Charlie told the two boys.
"So Norbert's actually Norberta. Hmm. Wait until we tell Hagrid," Harry said. Ron nodded in agreement.
Harry walked into Ron's room with his clothes. He just got out of the shower. "Um, where should I put these?"
"Just put them in my hamper. My mom will wash them together," Ron said, making the cot for Harry. "I know it's not as comfortable as a bed but it's the best I could do."
"This is perfectly fine. At least I'm here," Harry said, throwing his clothes into the hamper.
"Alright well if you need anything you know where everything's at now and you don't have to ask," Ron said. He smiled at his friend, turned the light off and walked over to his bed to lay down.
Harry was incredibly thankful for Ron. He didn't know where he would be right now if he hadn't met him on the train. Probably with an entirely different person. Probably at the Dursleys. He shuddered thinking about sending an entire summer with the Dursleys.
"Hey Harry, are you asleep?" Ron asked.
"No."
"Do you want to practice spells?" Ron asked.
"We're not allowed."
"Well, we have four wizards of age here so why not?" Ron asked. This made Harry shoot up.
"Well then of course."
"I'm gonna go get Hermione, she knows a lot of spells," Ron said walking out of his room. Harry walked to his trunk and took out his wand. He hadn't used it since June.
Ron came back with Hermione.
"This is not a good idea," Hermione said. Harry knew she obviously was going to not like it.
"You don't have to do it," Ron said. "We just need you to tell us which spells to do."
Hermione took out her book. She already had the Standard Book of Spells Grade 4. "How about… Diffindo. Used to precisely cut or tear objects." Hermione took out a piece of parchment.
"Sure, why not," Harry said. He muttered, "Diffindo" and his wand shot right out his hand and a small piece of the parchment tore.
"My turn," Ron said. "Diffindo" he muttered and his wand flew out of his hand but his hit eye and the parchment didn't tear at all. Harry started to laugh at his friend and Hermione joined in. Ron rolled his eyes and then punched Harry. Harry loved it here.
