The birthday dinner was spent in a rather fancy restaurant, the clinking of plates and the tinkling of wine glasses accompanied by the general conversation replacing the silence setting over.
Cecaniah had given much thought and time into the planning process, picking out a suitable, quiet dining place- one that Lelouch would surely prefer. Having been married to him for two years and in a relationship for six, she had grown well accustomed to his preferences and had even acquired the skill of predicting what he would skill did not disappoint this time.
"Well, dessert now?", he looked up, wiping his lips delicately with a tissue.
"You better clean your palette, there's a surprise in store.", she winked playfully, eyeing him intently; eager to see his reaction to the item that was about to arrive next.
Lelouch cocked an eyebrow out of curiosity, which was well satisfied when she jerked her forefinger toward the cloche now set in front, hiding a small cake that was revealed soon- his wife's face gleaming on top. Wait, Cecaniah's face?
Indeed, it was one of those trendy cakes with someone's picture on it. And she, of course, had to grab the perfect opportunity to leave him all flustered; it was obvious that she was greatly enjoying the sight. And he gladly succumbed to her wishes.
"Gonna eat me only with your eyes?", her melodious voice interrupted the train of reveries speeding through his mind; she smoothly caressed the knife as she cut the cake.
Lelouch had now begun eating, nibbling, licking and biting so very indulgently at a tantalizing pace; to even call it suggestive would be an injustice. He ran his slick tongue against the fondant, before digging his teeth in lightly, his sultry gaze fixated on her all the while, almost teasing her. And it was definitely not a failed attempt since he did notice her cautiously gulping, as a red tint spread itself across her visage, shifting her focus hastily to anywhere but- whatever was unfolding in front.
"Never knew you were such a gluttonous cannibal.", she commented, licking off the remnants of cream.
"It was your idea.", he gently jabbed a fork into the spongy delicacy, devouring the portion wholly, slowly, leaving no crumb unattended.
"And aren't you liking it?", she leaned forward, brushing her thumb against his lower lip to collect the icing and sucking on it herself. "No." A frown formed against her firm lips. "I'm loving it." His remark returned the smile, which grew slightly wider by the minute.
After the bill had arrived, the card was swiped and a tip was placed, and both had climbed into the sleek car, he mumbled, "Yet, I'd love it more if I could eat the real Cecaniah." , continuing the previous conversation. His beloved wife quickly glanced over at her studded watch, and answered, "Three more hours till your birthday is over. You may have your way with the real Cecaniah till then."
"Two and a half considering the journey."
"Mm. Make that two hours twenty minutes.", she muttered, tucking a lime strand behind her ear, as her diamond earring swayed and sparkled like a windchime. Lelouch pulled back the handgear, questioning still, "Why?"
"There isn't any whipped cream at home. Won't we need to buy some?"
A/N: This idea came from when I was talking to my friend about birthday cakes.. so shoutout to her! Well, I just pictured them doing something like this, probably.
