Chapter 5

Tony watched this new Shield team leave before opening his phone, he knew who would have answers.

"This is Hill"

"Want to explain to me why the hell there was a Shield team at my cabin?" he growled into the phone.

"What are you talking about Stark? Shield is gone"

"Well, I just met one of the agents Bobbi Morse and apparently it's not, she is claiming to work for Shield, so did you and Fury lie to all of us again" Tony walked toward the cabin making sure nothing was touched.

"Tony just come back to the compound we can go over everything then" Hill sounded a little on edge.

"Fine I will be there soon" Tony snapped hanging up.

He looked around the cabin finding nothing out of place, he went to Skye's room and noticed the bed wasn't made and some things were out of place but he knew it was because she was rushing out. He looked at the room and sighed hopefully she was okay, he liked Skye. She was just a kid and one that he wanted to look out for. He would get his chance this wasn't over, and he would keep whoever wants her out of the way.

"Hill, I wasn't expecting to hear from you," Coulson said they just picked up Fitz and were still searching for Skye.

"Coulson, we have a problem, did you send agents to Starks cabin?" She was still confused that Tony even had a cabin.

"Um, gotta say no and since when does Tony have a cabin? I thought he was always at the tower?" Then it hit him, maybe the other Shield got there though why would they go after Stark?

"Great, well he just called me pissed as hell because Bobbi Morse was apparently at his property with a Shield tach team? What is going on if that wasn't you?" Coulson took a breath and explained the base take over, how Bobbi and Mack were working for the other Shield Gonzalez was apparently running. Maria rolled her eyes,

"Really Coulson, we left you in charge and you already had a mutiny?"

"Well, technically it wasn't a mutiny just another group thinking they were rebuilding Shield."

"Well now that they showed up at Tony's I have a lot of explaining to do, I think you should come in and explain yourself" she knew this was a risk that the Avengers would be pissed knowing Fury and she kept this from them, but it was time to start working together.

"Are you sure Maria? This isn't going to go well and I only have three members of my team with me?"

"Yes come in, I already have Tony on his way back when can you be here? I am sending you the coordinates to the compound"

"We are only 45min out"

"See you soon Coulson" Maria hung up and took a long deep breath this wasn't going to be good but it was time. She called all the Avengers to meet in the common room in 30 minutes.

Coulson took a breath, they were almost to the compound, he knew this was not going to be welcoming with hugs and handshakes, but he needed their help to find Skye. Maria met them on the top of the landing platform and she wasn't smiling.

"How bad is it?" Maria asked looking at him, Fitz, Hunter, and Mike.

"Bad enough I agreed to this" Coulson said and she nodded looking at the jet

"Where is Skye?" Maria finally asked. She liked Skye, grew closer to her. Talked to her a lot about the updates and projects they worked on with Shield without the Avengers knowing, she knew she was hurt in the Temple collapse when Trip died.

"That is mostly why I agreed to this, she is missing the other Shield was trying to hunt her down." He took a breath

"Maria she is different now" Maria gave him a confused look,

"What do you mean different Phil?"

"When she went into the temple she was hit with the mist from the obelisk and gained abilities" Maria's eyes went a little wide.

"Well, we will deal with that after, I am sure she can handle her powers for now without our help" she gestured for them to follow her and when the elevator doors opened to the common floor the Avengers stood up quickly glaring at Coulson.
