Mistypaw's Quest

Summary

Two small cats were quietly patting through the bushes, one was a blue-gray furred molly and the other was a silver-blue furred molly. "Are you sure we should be doing this?" The silver-blue molly hissed in a low whisper to the blue-gray molly, who just rolled her eyes and continued on into the thicket of trees. She was on a mission to speak with a certain cat who she needed to see. The cat in question? The leader of ThunderClan, Bluestar.

Spottedleaf's Acting Strange

I sighed happily as I patted out into the early morning sunlight. The fresh green grass was wet with due and the sun's glow casted long shadows across the camp as cats slowly made their way out of their dens for the Dawn Patrol.

"Hi, Spottedleaf. What are you doing up so early? Out collecting herbs?" I spun around calmly to see a blue-gray furred Molly, I sighed in relief. At least it wasn't Firepaw, I wouldn't know how to handle that.

"I notice how glittery you seem this morning, is everything alright Spottedleaf?" Bluestar meowed, staring at me with worried icy blue eyes.

"Nothing Bluestar. Haha why do you ask? Nothing's wrong with me haha." I say, mentally kicking myself at my strange behavior.

"Hmmm... I don't believe you Spottedleaf, your acting very strangely ever since last night. Are you sure there's nothing wrong?" Bluestar pressed, as I felt my ears grow hot with embarrassment.

I couldn't think of anything to say, so I just turn tail and ran, with Bluestar a fox length behind me. We kept on running, and our little game of cat and mouse caught the attention of all the other cats. They stared, wide-eyed watching us, as if they were watching a fight between RiverClan and ShadowClan.

"Bluestar! What in the name of StarClan is going on here? Your ThunderClan's leader for StarClan's sake! Stop running around like an apprentice and do your job!" Came the authoritative and shape meow of Whitestorm. Bluestar halted in her tracks, and I do the same, Bluestar whipped her head around and stared at Whitestorm with an embarrassed expression on her face.

"Oh um hi haha I didn't see you there, Whitestorm. Sorry, I'll be there in a moment. I just have to have a chat with Spottedleaf over here, I'll be right back." Bluestar meowed, and Whitestorm nodded and I felt my heart sink, and dread pool in my stomach. 'Oh no! Does Bluestar know? Oh StarClan, what am I gonna do? Please tell meeeeeeeeee?' I thought, as I looked up to where I could faintly make out where Silverpelt was located.

"Okay, spill it Spottedleaf. What's with you? And don't tell me that it's nothing because it's clearly not. So tell me the truth Spottedleaf." Bluestar ordered, with a sharp meow, and it was then that I knew she meant what she said. I sighed but relented and told my leader everything.

"Soooo... let me get this straight, You like Firepaw and you can't control your feelings around him, but your a medicine cat Spottedleaf. You know that as a medicine cat that you can't have a mate." Bluestar meowed, and I sighed and lowered my head with a sad sigh.

"I know that Bluestar, but I can't help it." I meows with a long, drawn-out sigh and Bluestar put her tail on my shoulder with a sympathetic look on her face.

"I'm not judging you Spottedleaf, I'm telling you to follow your heart. Be happy and don't let other cat tell you otherwise." Bluestar meowed, and I stared at my leader with wide amber eyes.

"W-what? R-really? Thank you, Bluestar. Thank you!" I meowed, practically squeezing with excitement as I ran back into camp.

When I finally patted back into camp I stared to run in the direction of the medicine den, I was running so fast that I almost ran head first into Whitestorm, who slowly blinked and tilted his head in confusion as he stared at me.

"Woah! Where's the fire, Spottedleaf? You look like a cat who just got a date with a tomcat." Whitestorm meowed, with an amused twitch of his whiskers. I barely held in my excited squeal as I just smiled goofily at the older warrior.

"By Whitestorm, I gotta go help Yellowfang sort herbs." I say, and Whitestorm nodded before turning to whisper something to his apprentice, Sandpaw.

"What do you think has Spottedleaf acting so strange?" I heard White whisper to Sandpaw, as I entered the medicine den. I stood there with my ears pricked as I listened to their hushed whispers.

"I don't know, maybe medicine cats are just strange? Or maybe she ate some catnip and is going crazzy?" Sandpaw meowed in a low whisper, flicking her tail and rolling her forest green eyes as she stared up at her mentor

I held back an amused laugh at Sandpaw's last comment. If I had eatten catnip I would be running around the camping shouting crazy nonsense and making a fool out of myself. And plus, Yellowfang would notice if anything is missing from the stalk of herbs, l huffed and rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"You seem very pleased with yourself." Yellowfang remarked as I patted into the medicine den.

"Yeah I guess I do, I'm heading to go and collect herbs." I say, walking out of the medicine den.

"But were't you already doing that?" I heard Yellowfang meow, I turned back to the entrance of the den with a cheeky grin on my face.

"No, I didn't. I was talking with Bluestar about something important. So I'm out to look for herbs." I meowed and Yellowfang nodded and I turned and headed into the forest to look for herbs.

"Hay, Spottedleaf. Can I help you collect herbs?" I paused and spun around calmly to see Firepaw, he was staring at me with wide and hopeful green eyes. I smiled and nodded, I could never say no to him. I smiled to myself as me and Firepaw made our way through the forest to look for herbs.
