Chapter 5

A pep talk in the Satellite

The signers thought it would be a good idea to get a good nights sleep before heading off to the Satellite. But, as Emily slept, she had a vision. She saw a spider, a cyclops, a rainbow light, a staff, a monkey and a grey haired man. She woke up in a cold sweat from this, but she just shrugged it off and went back to sleep. The next morning, a Sector Security chopper arrived and inside was Mina Simmington; Goodwin's secretary and Officer Ushio Trudge; a member of sector security.

"So, these are the kids that Goodwin wanted?" Asked Trudge looking at Emily and the others.

"Is there a problem with that?" Asked Emily.

"Not really", said Trudge. "I thought that the fifth signer was a limb in a jar. Guess I owe Mina $12".

"So, where are we off to now?" Asked Kelsey.

"We're going to the Satellite" said Yusei.

"Well, what are we waiting for?", asked Kelsey. "Let's boogie". They got on the transport and flew over to the Satellite. As they were flying, Yusei could tell that Emily was worried. But, he thought it would be better if he spoke to her in private. They eventually arrived at what looked like an orphanage.

"Set us down there" said Yusei.

"What is that place?" Asked Emily.

"Home" said Yusei. Emily raised an eyebrow at this. The transport then landed and we all got out. A group of five children came out. With them was an elderly woman dressed as a nun and a guy dressed in jeans with stubble.

"Huh, it's Yusei" said the man with the stubble.

"And Jack" said the woman smiling.

"Hi Martha" said Jack. They then saw Jack do a cute little prince routine from when he was a kid. Emily and the girls couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh my gosh, that's so cute", said Emily almost squeaking it out. "Are you going to rescue a princess next Jackie boy, hehehehehe". Jack just glared at them, this made them quiet.

"So, where's everyone?" Asked Kelsey.

"Unfortunately the fog has taken everyone" said Martha.

"The fog?" Ask April.

"Come inside and I'll explain everything" said Martha. So they sat 'round and old wooden dinner table.

"Yesterday, a black fog came and everyone who was caught in it just disappeared", said Martha. "Fortunately, it didn't come here, so we were safe".

"But we haven't heard anything from Rally, Tank, Nerv, Blitz or Crow since it came" said the guy with the stubble, whose name was Blister.

"So it's safe to assume that they were taken by the fog" said Lily. Emily just sat and looked at the table during all this. After everyone was finished talking, they left the room, but Emily stayed behind. Yusei noticed this. He stop before he left and looked at Emily and then reentered the room.

"Everything okay Emily?" Asked Yusei.

"I-I had a vision last night", said Emily. "And, I-I think it was trying to tell me something. But I don't know what. I'm scared that also, if one of the dark signers decided to duel me, what if I loose and-". Yusei then placed his hand on Emily's shoulder.

"I know you're scared Emily", said Yusei. "And it's okay to be scared. I'm scared, Akiza's scared, and even though he won't admit, even Jack is scared. But as long as we have each other, there is nothing that we can't do".

"Even so", said Emily. "I just don't think I'm ready to face a Dark Signer". Yusei then grabbed Emily's hand.

"Why don't we go over to the table?" Said Yusei. Yusei then lured Emily to the dining table, where they sat side-by-side.

"Now then", said Yusei. "Why don't we have a look at your deck?". Emily then took her deck out of her duel disk and Yusei spread the cards on the table.

"You have some very interesting cards", said Yusei. "Not to mention some good combos. For example, if you equip your Garden Fairy with Fairy's wish and use it as a synchro material for one of your higher level monsters such as Shindoine, you could deal 1500 points of damage".

"Really?", asked Emily. "I never thought of that. I just used it whenever I had a level 4 tuner on my field".

"True", said Yusei. "While that isn't a bad idea a bad idea, it won't deal as much damage. And another example is using the trap eternal devotion to protect any monsters you control from destroyed by any means that turn, and if you add the effect of Heraldemon, you could get rid of any special summoned monster your opponent controls".

However, they were un aware that they were being watched.
