(Chapter 5: Falling Down and Out)
It would soon come to the day of which the former Sith Lord would have his supposed date with the fallen angel that had upon further conversation dubbed herself as Kalawarner, while Asia and himself had finished their preparations for making their ambush and capture of said fallen angel a complete success. With Anakin making sure that all of his abilities in the Force were at their utmost best just in case things went south, as he wanted nothing left up to chance for what he and Asia would face in their ambush of Kalawarner; for he did not know how strong a fallen angel was but he wasn't going to leave anything up to chance.
It would also be in the time period since meeting Asia up till now that he spent trying to overcome his mental block over Force Lightning which was a rather difficult task to pull off all things considered, but one that he strove to overcome all the same in knowing that if he could over this immensely frustrating obstacle; it would mean even greater power for him to wield. Beyond this he had also hoped to eventually find materials to start creating his lightsaber, which in a similar vein to overcoming his fear had so far proven unsuccessful in terms of finding parts and materials to create a fully functioning one to use in combat.
(Hyoudou Residence, 1:24 Am, September 22nd, 2017)
It would be almost half-past 1 in the morning as Anakin had snapped out of his deep meditation cursing himself that he wasn't able to stay in it longer as part of his mental training to overcome his mental block that prevented him from using Force Lightning; much to the frustration of the former Sith Lord.
"Are you alright, Anakin? I can sense your frustrations." Ddraig questioned his partner who found himself in once again in a cold sweat while his body had during this violently arced with lightning that scorched parts of his bedroom
"I'll be fine, Ddraig. Its just that progress is so damningly slow." Anakin responded in frustration of how slow the progress was taking in overcoming his mental block
"Trying to overcome like this is a process that takes time. Besides, progress no matter how little or how small it may be is still progress. This may take months or even years, but soon enough you will reach your intended goal." Ddraig spoke as he knew that any progress on what Anakin was going to take a considerable amount of time
"I know that. However, it doesn't make it anymore frustrating and nerve-wracking...You would think after all that I have done and overcome that I would be able to beat this with relative ease and yet I can't do something as simple as get rid of whatever is preventing me from using that. Here I am a former leader of Republic and Imperial armies that led both to victory countless times, yet here I sit in a bedroom unable to som much as use this power without risk of eradicating everything around me...How laughable." Anakin responded in hating that throughout his life he was able to overcome so much and yet his own frustrations and anger was something he couldn't overcome
"That is because overcoming one's limitations is no easy thing to beat. It is something vastly different to defeat armies and scores of Jedi, then another to overcome an obstacle within your mind that has been seared into your very bones." Ddraig told him as overcoming fear was no small thing to defeat
"Then how do you suggest I defeat it, then?! This one singularly infuriating thing that makes my heart feel as though I'm trying to fight a bull-rancor bare-handed and best me in every single meditation I undergo to overcome it...How can something so simple be so frustrating." Anakin said infuriated at the fact that something that was supposedly so easy was so incredibly enraging
"...You do so by continuing to be patient. The key to beating it all is to be persistent, patient and focused. Do not let your frustration cloud the fact that you are making progress towards overcoming what limits you. You can not rush progress for something like this." Ddraig told the former Jedi General in a voice that spoke from centuries of experience with the matter
With Ddraig having learned this lesson throughout his many centuries of existence in having taken many a decade to overcome his own limitations from when he was a young dragon and more so in his first conflicts with Albion. Therefore he found himself an expert on the matter of patience and persistence; especially when it came to using both attributes to overcome adversity and one's own fear and knew that if Anakin wanted to overcome his own and be able to truly wield Force Lightning then these were things he would need to embrace.
"...I just want more power to preserve my freedom Ddraig. I've spent my whole life in chains in one form or another, I refuse to let myself be enslaved to another master...So any scrap of power I can gain to keep my freedom I will take without question. Which is all the more reason I need to beat whatever this is that's preventing me from using Force Lightning and work towards mastering that power." Anakin spoke as all that he currently desired was power to help preserve his freedom and anyways he could go about it he would take without question
"Then if you desire more power to maintain your freedom, then you have to be patient. Just as you instruct Asia to be patient in maintaining a low profile with the Devils. You have to do the same in your advances towards overcoming your fear. After all, how can someone such as yourself claim to be of greatness if you do not lead others by example?" Ddraig responded which caused Anakin to be silent for a moment; knowing he couldn't in retort to the point raised by the Heavenly Dragon was
"I despise when your right about these things to no end." Anakin said in hating to admit Ddraig was right in knowing how much it would inflate Ddraig's ego
"I'm sorry I couldn't hear you, Anakin. Please speak louder so that the entire class may hear you." Ddraig requested his voice a heavy mix of playfulness and sarcasm
"Very funny...Ddraig. However, I will not humor you tonight. Not when their are more important things at hand such as readying myself for my..'date' this coming weekend...Again, words I never thought I'd hear come out my mouth in any lifetime." Anakin spoke in still finding it strange that his first ever date would be him and Asia ambushing a fallen angel
"Ah yes, your ambushing a fallen angel and getting to the bottom of why they are here in Kuoh. Something that I wish you the best of luck in dealing with, as now that they are here and most likely because of us. Then you will need to be prepared for every trick they have that can be thrown at us." Ddraig said in wishing Anakin the best of luck in his endeavor against the fallen angels
"If all goes accordingly then the threat of these fallen angels will be dealt with and swiftly. I already have enough to worry about with the Devils potentially coming to steal my freedom away from me. The last thing I need are fallen angels on top of that, who plan to do who knows what to either myself or Asia….May the Force give me strength for the migraine this is going to give me.." Anakin replied in feeling not his physical but his mental age catching up to him as he put his hands in his head in the migraine he could feel coming
"Then you had better call it for tonight and get some much needed rest, partner. For your 'date' is coming and quickly. For that alone you will need all your strength for." Ddraig told him as Anakin could only silently agree as he used the Force to move the covers so he could crawl into bed and slumber
'I truly hope that all of this nonsense with both Devils and fallen angels is resolved and quickly...I really do not have the patience to put up with any more over the top drivel.' Anakin thought to himself before letting much needed rest overtake him
(The next night, September 23rd, 2017, Kuoh Town, 9:54 Pm)
Soon enough it was the following night for Anakin who was currently on his 'date' with Kalawarner which had gone to rather decently thanks to Asia's planning of it out and right now was strolling with her through one of the parks in Kuoh; ready for the signal from Asia for them to strike and ambush her.
"Again I want to say thank you for agreeing to go on this date with me. The dinner and a movie combo was a rather nice touch." Kalawarner said in delight of having been taken out on a dinner date and movie
"It was no problem at all, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." Anakin replied as they continued walking through the park
"I really did, Anakin…It was a great time I had you" Kalawarner replied with a somber huff
"Is there something wrong? You said that we had a good time on our date...have I done something to offend you?" Anakin questioned as they stopped while a dour look had come across the navy-haired womans' face
"There is and honestly its not your fault at all. If anything this is something I hope I wouldn't have to do to you, as you seem like a rather handsome kid and all. On the other hand if I don't then I'm a dead woman… So please don't be angry at me for this." Kalawarner answered back in regret of having to kill off her date while behind his back he made a few hand-signals while she spoke
"What are you talking about…Are..Are those wings?" Anakin questioned in genuine surprise of seeing a pair of onyx colored wings appear from her back
"Yes they are and again nothing personal, but I'll make this as painless as possible...If its any consolation you would've made for an amazing boyfriend." Kalwarner spoke as she formed a spear of golden light in her hands and aimed for his heart with intent to impale inside him
'I don't think so.' Anakin thought to himself as Kalawarner flung the spear
With it being the moment that she threw the light spear at Anakin that she tried to fly away from the scene, yet two things happened that kept her in place and prevented her escape as the golden spear of light came hurtling towards him. The first was when Anakin raised his hand outwards in the direction of her light spear and instead of it going through his hand and turning it into a bloody mess, that instead it was absorbed into him as though being caught in a high-powered vacuum until there was nothing left but a unamused former Sith Lord.
The secondary reason why she was unable to fly away and escape was because of her soon falling back down to earth as all of her limbs suddenly seized up on her and forced her to the ground; with her looking down to see that burnt orange colored chains made of divine magic wrapped themselves around her wings ,arms and legs. With her blinking her hair out of the way to Asia holding her glowing fist up while walking over to Anakin and proceeding to high-five him with her free-hand, from there Anakin used the Force to levitate her and from there the two headed back to the car Anakin was using for their date, with Asia throwing her in the trunk.
Once they arrived at the Hyoudou Residence they got her out of the trunk and through use of the Force, Anakin levitated all 3 of them to his room where upon touching down on the floor he had Asia close the windows and lock the doors. From there he had Asia release the spell to conserve her own reserves of magic while he used Force Stun to restrain Kalawarner and keep her bound as both stood before her ready to take her down and further restrain her should she try anything.
"We have a few questions for you to answer. You answer them honestly and you continue to live, you don't and well…" Asia told the fallen angel who remained stone faced while being restrained by the duo
"While you are needed alive, so that we may know what is going on with you and your kind in our home. That doesn't mean you have to be in pristine condition in order for us to know what we want." Anakin spoke his golden-brown eyes piercing right through Kalawarner who could only manage a shudder at his penetrating gaze
"The choice is yours fallen angel. What is your decision?" Anakin added fully prepared to rip the information out of her if needed
"I'll tell the two of you what you want to know. All I want in return is that you keep me safe until everything either blows over or is taken care of." Kalawarner replied in wanting to have no harm come to herself in any capacity
"That all depends on the information you tell us...now talk." Anakin curtly said back to the navy haired woman who let out a nervous gulp as Anakin's penetrating gaze never left for a moment
Without further incentive Kalawarner told them everything they wanted to know on why she and her 'teammates' were in Kuoh Town to begin with, as the threat of harm and or torture to her person was a very strong motivator. With her team of 3 being originally sent here by Azazel to not only keep observations going on Anakin due to his unique powers, but also because of the fact that from what they could gather he also possessed a rather strong Sacred Gear that put him at the top of Azazel's list to observe and report their findings as soon as possible.
Sadly enough the moment they got here things went from sugar to shit real quick as Dohnaseek and Miltelt revealed themselves as servants of Kokabiel who had the mission of instead terminating Anakin, if possible capture him and rip out whatever Sacred Gear he had so that Dohnaseek could claim it for himself. With Kalawarner having been sent to do the deed and kill or capture him, something she had very little to no choice in the matter due to either fallen angel being able to overpower her and them having the numbers advantage.
"That's basically it. I didn't want to have to do it, as I planned on carrying out Lord Azazel's orders and then being out of your hair as soon as possible... Not that there's much to do in this town anyways. Then Dohnaseek and Miltelt came along and ruined that idea." Kalawarner spoke in finishing her explanation of why she was forced into doing what she did
"This certainly changes things...Then again at least we'll finally have some much needed action." Anakin spoke while Asia nodded in excitement
"I haven't really had to deal with fallen angels all too much. However, I should have a few things I can dig up that should help..Which means I will have to go through my catalog of other spells to make sure I can stand a good chance." Asia replied in having to now go through some of the spells of magic she's learned over the years that were on the more vicious side of things
"Now tell us how strong are these two?" Anakin questioned in wanting to know what they could do
"Miltelt isn't anything you should have to worry about all too much. Granted she's stronger than me and a middle-class fallen angel, but for who you should really worry about. That would be Dohnaseek, the man is almost at the level of a 8-winged or to put it more simply a Ultimate class fallen angel in strength and for good reason." Kalawarner answered back in knowing full well that Dohnaseek is someone who wasn't to be trifled with
"Between his being extremely good at close combat, on top of him being really skilled at using holy fire enough to make stuff out of it to hit you with. Add on top of that, Kokabiel left him a gift of I don't know what it is, all I know is that its supposed to be something that would take care of you if you gave him any problems." Kalawarner mentioned further at what he was capable of in combat although the part of him having something to handle Anakin did rouse the former Sith Lords' interest
"Is there anything else you know about?, I would rather we not get caught with our pants down, when we go to war with them." Asia questioned the buxom fallen angel
"Yes I do. They've also managed to raise up a legion of stray exorcists that he got to join him under the idea of taking over this town once they were done with you all. It also doesn't help that Kokabiel sent some fallen angels to his side as well as backup. One of which will be there to ensure that everything is carried out." Kalawarner informed them of the fact that they were gathering up an army of sorts to fuck shit up in Kuoh Town
"It seems as though the next few weeks we will have our work cut out for us. Finally, something to give us an actual challenge." Anakin noted at the fact that in a few weeks time they should have this whole situation sorted out
"Agreed, Anakin. With our combined strength, it should take us no time whatsoever to destroy the threat posed to us." Asia spoke before turning her attention towards Kalawarner
"Although, what do we do about her?" Asia asked Anakin in concerns to Kalawarner
"We leave her alive and keep her here where she is safest from her 'teammates', no doubt if we send her back out there she's a dead woman. Better yet, as soon as possible I want her to get in contact with her leader and arrange a meeting between him and I as soon as we deal with her other teammates. I want to clear this matter up as quickly as possible and find out for what reason beyond simple observations he set all of 3 of you onto us." Anakin told Asia before both turned their gaze onto Kalawarner
"That is something you can do right?" Anakin questioned the fallen angel who nodded
"Of course. All I need is some time to be able to contact him, fill him in on what's happening and tell him of what you wish. Although I will need one small thing from you before I can do that." Kalawarner replied in being more than capable of doing that
"What do you want?" Anakin questioned as to what would be needed
"I need to see what exactly your Sacred Gear is? I was literally sent here to see what kind of Sacred Gear you had on you for my mission. So I feel as though if we kill 2 birds with one stone, it wouldn't hurt to do this...Beyond that I don't ask for much, so if you would be so kind as to do that for me..it would be much appreciated." Kalawarner requested as she felt that what she was asking was really small in the grand scheme of things
"...Fine, I'll let you see it. If this means getting what I need from you, then so be it." Anakin said in seeing no real harm in showing her the Sacred Gear
With a flash of Harlequin green light that briefly lit up the room stood on his left hand was the Boosted Gear yet with very notable changes than its standard appearance, one of which being that it looked far more mechanical and almost skeletal in design. The ruby red and golden arm while still retaining its draconian nature but looked far more mechanical in looking far more similar to his mechano-arm except far more heavily built and with 4 inch draconian claws tipping each finger that could rend flesh off bone with ease.
Its more mechanized and heavily built nature also made it so that the twin golden spikes were shortened and more metallic in design, while designs similar to circuitry were abound all across its surface, while a set of emerald jewels on the palm that with the circuit like designs glowed together to form a glowing triquetra. With Kalawarner in awe of realizing that before her was the Red Dragon Emperor, all the while Anakin looked at the design of his gauntlet with a measure of what looked like fondness in being reminded of his previous mechanized arm.
"I take it that this will be enough proof for you?" Anakin questioned as he raised his mechanical-looking gauntlet for her to see
"That will be more than enough proof...I can't believe that your the Red Dragon Emperor,..Lord Azazel is not gonna believe this." Kalawarner spoke her jaw having almost dropped to the floor in disbelief of what was before her
"Good. If you have nothing more to say or inform us about, then I'm going to bed. It has been a day." Anakin spoke as he dispelled the gauntlet in the same flash of light before heading off to bed
"..I guess that means I'll show you to the guest room. Come on, its not much but it will be serviceable for now." Asia spoke once Anakin undid the Force Stun as he headed out to go to sleep
"Thank you for letting me stay here." Kalawarner thanked the war cleric
"You're welcome, now let's get you settled in and make yourself comfortable..Your going to be here for a while." Asia responded as she helped Kalawarner to the guest room where she'd reside until everything was over with
(3 days later, September 26th, 2017, 10:50 Am, Orlando, Florida)
It was a few days later as Azazel had recently received contact from Kalawarner on the current situation and was greatly surprised by the information received on the situation in Kuoh, hence why he called in both Tobio and Raynare to let them in on the situation at hand.
"So what is it you called us for, Lord Azazel?" Raynare asked on why both she and Tobio were called
"I called you here because Kalwarner has given us some great information from her findings. As it turns out that the person I sent her to observe in Kuoh Town, is actually this generations' Red Dragon Emperor." Azazel answered back getting a look of surprise at hearing this information
"Are you sure of this Lord Azazel? You mean to tell me that the actual Red Dragon Emperor has been found after all this time?!" Raynare questioned in near disbelief of what she was hearing
"I am a thousand percent sure of this, Raynare. We've found him and from what has been gathered on him he is a rather powerful individual. With what he's capable of doing from Kalawarner's report, has my interest in the power he himself wields alone." Azazel answered back as Kalawarner's reports in observing Anakin had painted a pretty promising picture of Anakin's overall power
"If he is as strong as what was reported to you, then why are we called here? I can't imagine it was to simply tell us of the good news. I feel as though the next step that you have planned is to recruit him if I am not too far off?" Tobio guessed at what the next move was from here in terms of the next phase of things that concerned Anakin
"Correct you are, Tobio, always the astute one.. Once things calm down in Kuoh Town, I will be going to meet with the current Red Dragon Emperor and discuss his possible recruitment onto our side, if not his working alongside us as a mutual ally. If nothing else, having him on our side in any capacity makes him a great asset overall." Azazel replied with a small smile as either way after everything calmed down he would make sure to gain Vali's counterpart as an ally to Grigori
"If that is the case, then may I ask why we are needed? I do understand that this is a rather important matter that you wish to share with us. However, I do feel this is an important question that needs to be answered. For this concerns the future of Grigori going forwards, espeically concerning Vali." Tobio spoke up in wondering why they were needed in this situation concerning the newest Boosted Gear wielder
"I also agree with Tobio, Lord Azazel. Why did you summon us here beyond telling us this information? I can't imagine it was simply to exchange pleasantries with one another." Raynare questioned in sharing the same sentiment as the wielder of Canis Lykaon
"While I will get to how this will effect things with Vali in just a moment. This is also due to everything that has happened concerning this newfound information. That you two are going to be rather important in all of this. First things first, when I go to meet with the Red Dragon Emperor. I plan to take Tobio with me, as I want to see exactly the full measure of his power. The perfect person I can think of to do just that is you. So once everything has been handled in Kuoh Town, you will accompany me to test his strength and gain an accurate measurement of his power." Azazel answered back in what he required of Tobio
"Understood, although if I may ask; how strong is the Red Dragon Emperor? Have we been given an estimate of where he stands in his level of power?" Tobio questioned the leader of Grigori on if they were ever given a assessment of Anakin's level of strength
"Not at all. All that Kalawarner was able to inform of is that he is the wielder of the Boosted Gear. When I did press on how strong he possibly is she wasn't able to give me an answer on the matter. Saying that beyond the powers he displayed that he was always keeping his strength in reserve by the looks of it." Azazel told him as to what was informed of him by Kalawarner in how Anakin always looked to be keeping his powers hidden despite their great strength
"It is a smart move for him to do so. With everyone watching him with the exception of Heaven, his showing enough of his power to overwhelm his enemies but not enough to cause too much suspicion to be drawn to himself. At least it shows that he's not some arrogant jackass that goes flaunting his powers, only for it to end with him getting wiped out in an instant." Raynare brought up while also having to give it up to Anakin at how it was a wise decision to keep what could only be the majority of his strength in reserve while still using enough to obliterate his enemies
"A fair and more than likely accurate assumption. Which combined with the power he has of the Boosted Gear makes him all the more intriguing and all the more reason why he must join our side." Azazel spoke knowing that with the immense power Anakin wielded that having him on Grigori's side was paramount
"While that is a good idea, Lord Azazel. There is still the problem of Vali, you know how dead set he is on fighting his long awaited rival. Which means that even if you are able to convince him to join our side, factoring Vali into things means that we will have a major problem in the long term." Raynare replied knowing there was one major hitch in Azazel's plan to have the Red Dragon Emperor join their side
The hitch in question being Vali's obsession with fighting his archrival in this generations' wielder of the Boosted Gear in a glorious death battle meant that even if they did convince Anakin to join Grigori and as a result the boon of having both wielders of the Heavenly Dragons on their side. It would really be a short-term victory due to the fact that sooner or later with Vali being the battle maniac he is, would inevitably clash against Anakin, no doubt ruining and potentially ending the allying with and potential partnership with the Red Dragon Emperor.
"That's where you come in Raynare. Until I can figure out a permanent way of getting them to call their feud to a ceasefire, I'm going to have you be on guard to make sure Vali doesn't try anything. He can not be allowed to ruin what is a once in a lifetime opportunity." Azazel told Raynare in having her be on guard to prevent any of Vali's antics
"You really want for me to be on guard duty with Vali? Don't get me wrong, I'm honored that you've chosen me for the task. However, isn't there anyone else that would be better suited for this?" Raynare questioned as to why she out of the others in Grigori were being chosen for the task
"I would ask Barquiel or Amaros. However, both are busy with Barquiel out on diplomacy missions with Shemhazai and Amaros is handling the Magician Faction. Which leaves you as the best possible option for the task. Considering how you are one of our strongest here that can actually handle Vali." Azazel answered back as Raynare was his best bet for the task at hand considering Amaros and Barquiel were doing their own missions
"He is right, Raynare. Between the two of us, we're one of Lord Azazel's strongest. Especially when we consider that nothing short of Vali using the Juggernaut Drive can beat you and even then its a close match." Tobio replied as Raynare's might was enough that it could nearly match Vali when he used the Juggernaut Drive
"So you see, Raynare. There is no one else that is best suited for this job than you." Azazel told her as there was no one else that Azazel saw as strong or worthy for this task than Raynare
"You both make compelling points..Alright, I'll do it, but on one condition." Raynare conceded in not really being able to find any fault with her master or Tobio's points
"What is it?" Azazel asked
"If I'm going to do this, then I need to be able to use whatever force is necessary to make sure he doesn't do anything. Even if it is lethal. Because we all know that Vali will fight tooth and nail to get a shot at fighting his long awaited 'rival', so authorizing this is going to be most appreciated." Raynare requested from Azazel in knowing full well that Vali wouldn't go down without a fight it the opportunity arose to fight his counterpart
"By all means Raynare do as you see fit. I allow him to have a lot of freedom both because he's been a good kid and because of the fact that he's one of our strongest assets. However, I will not allow him to jeopardize a rare opportunity for us because of some feud between Ddraig and Albion. That is why as long as he is not killed or incapcitated, then you are free to do as needed to make sure he doesn't cause any trouble." Azazel answered back with complete seriousness on the matter in seeing that as long as Vali wasn't killed or grievously incapcitated then it was fine
"Understood, my lord." Raynare said back although she could barely contain her mirth at hearing this
'I finally get a chance to put that little bastard in his place...Oooh how I'm gonna enjoy this!' Raynare thought with glee at being able to now consistently vibe check Vali should he get out of line
"Also Lord Azazel what will happen to Miltelt and Dohnaseek? I imagine that when they are returned to our custody, that they will face punishment for their actions." Tobio questioned on what would be the fate of the two treacherous fallen angels
"They will face punishment in due time, Tobio. I just have to figure out what it will be." Azazel replied
'Damn you Kokabiel, for over 4 centuries you've been a thorn in my side.' Azazel internally cursed the rogue cadre for having been a consistent pain in his ass since the Crusades
"Is there anything else you are to inform us about, Lord Azazel?" Tobio questioned the leader of Grigori
"No there isn't, but you both will be updated on the status of things concerning Kuoh Town in the weeks to come. So if there is nothing else that is to be brought up at the moment, then you are both dismissed." Azazel answered back in being met with brief silence before the two left him
"Issei or rather thanks to him having changed his name, Anakin Hyoudou..You certainly are an interesting one. Hopefully you live up to the hype of what I'm being told." Azazel pondered to himself in excitement of soon being able to see what he could do in action
(Several Hours later, Hyoudou Residence, 6:04 Pm)
Meanwhile in Kuoh, Anakin and Asia were strategizing on how they were going to go about taking the fight to Kalawarner's treacherous teammates in order to terminate the threat they presented in a quick and efficient manner.
"While we both take on their main forces using your divine magic to do so in a shock and awe tactic. We still are to divide and take them down, we cannot allow them to come together and bring their full might against us." Anakin spoke while Asia nodded in agreement of their plan to battle against the fallen angels
"I'm pretty sure that its easy to see who we'll both take on once we get rid of the fodder." Asia said in having already figured out who each of them would take on
"I can no doubt handle Miltelt who from what Kalawarner has said about her is the type that likes to do hit and run sneak attacks. Someone like that is a good match up for me, because not only can I take on and recover from whatever tricks she tries against me. I also have enough spells ready to make sure I can lock her down and prevent her from trying anything to escape." Asia added in knowing that with a combination of her divine magic, her Twilight Healing and high defense that she would be a decent matchup against Miltelt
"Then that means Dohnaseek is all mine." Anakin spoke in seeing who is opponent was
"Remember the plan as well for them, Asia. We are not to kill them, but instead to capture them. They are of far greater value to us alive than dead." Anakin told the war cleric as the fallen angels were of greater value to them alive than dead
"Don't worry, Anakin. I have everything under control. What do you take me for, some reckless idiot that rushes into everything, like Goku does in Dragonball Super?" Asia responded with faux hurt in her voice that Anakin lightly chuckled at before getting back on topic
"Very funny, Asia. Still once we neutralize them and them over to Azazel. Then I can get a better understanding of why this Kokabiel has sent his minions after me." Anakin spoke in wanting to get to the bottom of why Kokabiel had his thugs after him
"Whatever it is, it can't be good. Nothing good can ever come from a rogue cadre, especially someone of his caliber." Asia replied which got the attention of the former Sith Lord
"You know of him as well?" Anakin asked the war cleric
"Are you kidding me, Anakin. That man is the boogeyman of the Church and for good reason as well. With a power that matches an archangel and known as the former battlemaster of the fallen angels, I would be hard pressed not to know who he is." Asia answered back as Kokabiel was someone who was very much feared as a living legend with the Heaven Faction
"Anything else you can tell me about him that isn't legends or hearsay?" Anakin questioned on if she knew anything else on the rogue cadre
"Nothing besides what I was told when I was still in the church. Beyond that, my knowledge of him is rather slim. Otherwise, he's probably one of the strongest beings out there." Asia told him as her knowledge on Kokabiel was very much limited in terms of genuine knowledge on the rogue cadre
'Which means that when I meet with their leader, I can add knowing more about who Kokabiel is and what he's capable of to the list.' Anakin mentally noted to himself on what he was to ask the Grigori leader when he would eventually meet with him
"Anyways, any ideas on what we do until we launch our attack? I mean let's face it, until the Devils make their move on us. Then for all intents and purposes we have nothing to do." Asia asked on what they were to do in the interim once they launched their attack
"I mean I have my comics and all, but besides training what is it that you have to do? Because beyond you training, I don't really see you doing much outside of that, so do you have any real hobbies or anything to occupy your time?" Asia inquired further on what Anakin did besides physical training and training of his Force abilities
"Now that you bring it up, besides my doing training I haven't gone out to try and take up any hobbies." Anakin spoke in realization of this fact
With the former Jedi Knight realizing that in both his enjoyment of no longer being confined to his mental prison for armor and training to improve and develop his Force abilities, that he never really took up any hobbies to occupy his time otherwise. Since he knew that he couldn't simply train all his life as eventually he'd run out of things to perfect and train that he would and probably should take up some hobby to occupy his time, as who knows maybe he would find something that would catch his interest and be something he could truly enjoy for the first time in decades since being Darth Vader.
"You probably should. Because, even when we will defeat the fallen angels and there's no doubt that we will. You definitely need something to occupy time besides just training all the time." Asia told him in wanting him to invest in something besides training
"I'll take you up on finding something to do in the meantime, Asia. I have all this ample time, so it would be a complete waste of my time if I didn't invest myself in something." Anakin said in realizing that with all the time he had on his hands that it would be a shame not to do something
"Then how about after we've dealt with the fallen angels, you look towards taking up some hobbies. I dunno what it is, maybe your good at knitting..." Asia suggested as at the end snickering escaped her as the idea of Anakin knitting did tickle her considerably
"Very funny, Asia...very funny." Anakin said with narrowed eyes at the war cleric
"Oh come on, you know I'm just giving you shit." Asia spoke while chuckling
"You do know I'll do it and just make a dress for you out of spite, you do realize that I will go that extra mile?..Just for you of course." Anakin replied as while he may have been a powerful Sith Lord didn't mean he couldn't petty
"You wouldn't dare….." Asia said while Anakin's impassive demeanor was only broken if slightly by the sly smile on his face
"Do you really want to chance that Asia? You know how driven I am with everything I've done up till now. So do you really want all of that energy and spite turned towards making you the ugliest dress I can create for you, do you really want that?" Anakin questioned as he was more than willing to put all of his energy to make the most ugly dress he could possible make for her and then subsequently have her wear it
"...Damn you, Anakin….just damn you." Asia answered back in conceding to not wanting to wear a dress in any capacity
"That's what I thought….Anyways, let's get back to planning how we will destroy their reinforcements and then talk about possible hobbies for me to undertake." Anakin replied with a wry grin while wondering what sort of things he could take to occupy his time beyond training
"Anything to avoid me wearing a dress, I'm all for." Asia replied in being more than happy to move away from anything that would have her wear a skirt or dress
So with Anakin and Asia having captured the first of the fallen angels and gained the rundown of what's to come against them, they now get ready to face off against their newest adversaries while Azazel awaits to soon meet with the newest Red Dragon Emperor. How will things go in the inevitable meeting with the former Sith Lord and leader of Grigori go, as well as Asia and Anakin taking on the fallen angels' forces? Now then onto some of the reviews from the last chapters
UnsanMusho: Speaking of the fallen angels, as you can see I'm giving everyone more or less a level up so to speak. Especially with Kokabiel considering that in this story he's gonna be a lot more of a problem than he was in canon, considering how unlike before he's gonna have a bigger reason behind why he does things than starting another Great War. As for Xenovia...the thing is that's if Asia or worse yet Kokabiel due to her probably pissing him off doesn't kill her first. Considering that Asia isn't as as forgiving as she is in canon and Kokabiel isn't one for dicking around as much as in canon. Furthermore concerning her peerage, its a thing of Rias is being more concerned and hyperfocused about trying to get herself stronger and figure out how she can beat Riser and try to get out of the arrangement that she hasn't really bothered to have them face their issues..seeing as how her freedom and love-life is on the line. Not to mention that without Issei around that they aren't gonna be as likely to face what's holding them back as they were in canon, so for the time being they aren't gonna or will deny their inner issues/demons for as long as they can.
NexusPrime42: Anakin will be the only one from the Star Wars universe as I'd rather not boggle the story down with Star Wars characters that it gets harder to maintain a cohesive story without another character popping out from out of the woodwork. Also don't worry with events that are gonna unfold later on in the story, Irina is definitely gonna have to be the voice of reason between her and Xenovia.
edboy4926: I like where your going with the possible design idea for his Balance Breaker armor and would fit as it would serve probably to look like a more refined and advanced version of his prior armor. Not to mention that is a pretty good idea concerning George Lucas in this universe for when he and Asia eventually go to Comic Con. Also I'll think about the whole Indiana Jones idea as it does sound appealing but I'll have to think about it more on how I'll be able to fit it into things.
That takes care of that as I hoped that you guys have enjoyed this chapter and all that goes with it as this begins what will more than likely be the 3 to 4 part Fallen angel arc, something I hope you all will enjoy. However, without further delay let's get into it now shall we.
First up is Anakin trying to overcome his mental block that's preventing him from using Force Lightning, as previously stated its gonna be a good long while before he's able to use the ability so expect for it to take some time before can utilize it.
Following that we've got Anakin and Asia capturing Kalawarner in what was to be Anakin's 'first date' which I hoped you guys liked as to me it made too much sense that something like this would happen given the strength of the two of them.
Coming up after it is Azazel meeting up with Tobio and a much more powerful Raynare to discuss the state of things concerning Anakin as the new Red Dragon Emperor and his potentially joining/working with Grigori.
Lastly is a bit between Asia and Anakin discussing how to do things concerning Dohnaseek's forces and them dicking around in discussing Anakin taking up a hobby of some sort which I thought would be neat.
That being said I hope y'all enjoy this story and what's to come in the future chapters of it as well as favoriting, following and sending reviews so that we can hopefully make this a pretty decent story. As flames for the most part will be ignored unless you got anything nice to say or that helps the story then go somewhere else.
