AN: I ended up taking a break from all together and am now back after a few months.

I've just recently rewritten he first few chapters to adjust to the initial idea I had for the story where LB and CN are SUPPOSED to be called Princess Justice and Chat Blanc. If it helps then please do reread the first four chapters.

Before anyone says this, yes I do know that I should have written that I was on hiatus in either my bio, or even the story summary however I never considered that due to my desire to focus on my - at the time - state of mental health.

I'll be picking up the story from here and try to update at least once a week.

If I update on multiple occasions per week then chapters will most likely be only one thousand words long. If I update once a week they will be at least five thousand words long or so I hope.

Landing quietly, the spandex wearing malefactor dropped down onto the tiled roof, padding silently over to the rooftop window, preparing herself to break it.

There was a problem though.

It was already broken.

Maybe it was broken because someone had made an innocent mistake, or perhaps another miscreant had taken it upon themselves to disrupt the thieving spree of one of the most infamous lawbreakers to be recognised by the criminal world, that decade.

However, the latter was clearly the correct insinuation as the way the glass had been cut was far too precise for it to have been an accidental occurrence.

And so the lady dropped herself down the hole gracefully and without a sound, touching down onto smooth, panelled flooring that had clearly just been stood on prior to the filthy boot prints tracing it.

The black clad figure recognised it to be that of her nemesis' shoes that had trodden along.

"That naughty kitty." She whispered to herself as she followed the trail he had been foolish to leave behind.

He had been in the room when HawkMoth had assigned her this joint and had known she would be - what was the right term - ah yes, visiting it that night so there wasn't much left to the imagination as to why Chat Blanc had decided to take a stroll through it himself.

He was trying to spite her by taking away the biggest job she was going to have that week.

Trying to claim the victory SHE was supposed to take.

Attempting to steal the pride for her that would have been displayed on their boss' face as long as she returned to their headquarters with her burlap sack full to the brim with stolen merchandise.

It wasn't going to work out for him though, Princess Justice decided, as she was going to surprise him and take what was rightfully hers before he had enough time to react.

Stepping cautiously she walked through the building, successfully not triggering any of the alarms so conspicuously placed.

The owner of the place really would have to step up his security game if he had any intention of keeping his wares untouched, unscathed and definitely if he didn't want his work to be plagiarised by a rival. He was making her job far too easy and incredibly boring. Princess Justice would yawn if she wasn't supposed to be using the element of surprise.

Unfortunately for her she lost that element when suddenly the trail stopped and she came face to face with her smirking adversary.

"I was wondering when you were planning on making your presence known to me, milady." He sneered.

"I already told you not to call me that!" She glared.

"No need to be so catty Princess," he grinned innocently. "Just trying to be a gentlecat to another lady.

"Well of course I'm going to be catty after finding out my rival is smoking the joint that was assigned to ME." She tried to keep her volume low. "What are you doing here Chat Blanc?!"

"Really, darling? Accusing me of trying to take away your assignment? That's a whole new low!" Chat said to her. For once he actually looked offended. "Yes I would willingly take an extra job to spite you but I'd never take one that was respectfully given to you by the boss."

"Liar!" She retorted. "Do you think I'm going to believe anything that comes out of that mouth of yours?"

He groaned loudly.

"Cats have honor too ya know!"

"Well you're not a cat are you? It's just a ridiculous outfit!"

"You're one to speak! A princess - really?"

"Excuse me! You're the one who brought this up in the first place! Regardless of that, my suit is much better than yours anyways."

"Yes because everyone thinks a princess suit is sooo amazing!"

"At least I'M able to hide in the dark. You however look like a white beacon or even a flashlight when you run through the dark!"

As the two continued to bicker, slowly becoming more hotheaded, they didn't realise it when two shadowy figures appeared behind them, knives in hand.

Well-

At least not till last minute.

As Princess Justice finished her sentence she saw something coming up behind Chat.

'Wait a minute,' She thought. 'That's not a something - it's a someONE

In alarm she yelled, "Chat!"

He looked at her in confusion and slight annoyance as she had interrupted him.

"Look out!"

As it turns out - they weren't the only ones who had wanted to rob that particular store that night.

She grabbed him by the arm and pulled him towards her, all while unhitching her yo-yo from her waist and securing it to a window handle on the ceiling above them.

As the pair were lifted into the air, Princess Justice released Chat Blanc and put him on top of one of the hanging lights.

"Shit!" He cursed as he crouched down while she hung, suspended in the air.

"Indeed." She nodded.

"I swear I didn't hear anyo-" Chat began but stopped when he hear a wince.

He looked up to see Princess Justice rubbing her side whilst peering at it in pain.

There was a gash in the material of her super suit and a slight hint of blood beneath.

She must have been struck by one of those knife-wielding morons down below.

She opened up a pouch on her waist and pulled out a needle and string.

"I need to stitch myself up but first we both need to get out of here."
