A/N: Thank you for the reviews! Like I said, I really love golf and hadn't seen an AZ Callie golf story. Pair that with the fact this weekend was The Master's. I finally decided to just start.
I really love the few reviews about direct connections to the golf world! I never expected that. Feel free to keep me on my toes! As I mentioned, I love golf, but I am not a pro at the games or the rules. So please be patient with me. My grandparents, who I was very close with, were avid golfers. Once they retired, they rented an RV and just went from course to course. So, when I golf, even though I suck, I feel close to them.

Chapter 5
Callie POV
Callie took the elevator up to the 14th floor. She wanted to have a quick visit with Sofia before she went downstairs for drinks and the welcome dinner. Callie had spent the last two hours getting ready. Initially, she convinced herself the reason for the extra attention to detail was because she was representing the family company. After the third dress change, she laughed to herself and admitted she wanted to look good for a certain blonde. Which was crazy. They had bumped into each other and had one brief conversation. Why was she trying so hard? Yeah, Arizona was gay but that didn't mean she was looking. Plus, no sleeping with the golfers!
Callie had settled on a red floor length gown. The dress code for the welcome dinner was black tie. Callie looked good in red. It was a power color in her opinion, and Callie Torres was powerful. She also knew she looked hot. One thing Callie did not lack was confidence. She had been burned by previous partners, but one thing never wavered. Callie was confident, hot, and knew what she deserved. She chose to go with minimal make up, going for a more natural look. Her hair was pinned up in a beautiful up do type style. Her diamond earrings and necklace that Sofia had picked out for Mother's Day last year (thanks to her father's credit card) went perfectly with her outfit. Pair that with her darker than usual tan, due to her time out on the golf course and property prepping for this event. Callie knew she would turn heads tonight.
Walking into the 14th floor suite Callie called out. "Sof, Aria, girls?". She heard the padding of little feet on the marble floor making their way towards her.
"Mami! You came to say goodnight!" Sofia yelled.
"Of course, I did Sof. I missed you today. Did you have fun with Tia Aria and your cousins?".
"Yes Mami. I was soooo good. So, we are still going to Disney World, right?" Sofia asked. This girl does not forget a thing.
"Yes baby. Keep up the good work. Remember what we talked about. Tia Aria is here to help while we get this event taken care of. So, you have to be a big girl and help Mami out. You do that by listening to Tia Aria."
"Si Mami! You look like a princess. Are you going to a ball?" Sofia asked, staring at her mother. She didn't really dress up like this often. When she did, Sofia didn't really get a chance to see her. The charity events and such usually didn't start until later in the evening. She always made it a point to try to put Sof to bed before any babysitters came to take care of here while Callie was gone.
"Not a ball, Sof. Just a dinner. Abuelo and Uncle Mark are going too. They look very handsome. I think Abuelo was going to come try to say goodnight. I have to get going though. I am going to go talk to Tia Aria and then I can do one story before I leave." Callie grabbed Sofia's hand and headed towards the kitchen.
"Hey Cal. Woah! Looking HOT. Red is your color. But you already know that." Aria said with a wink.
"Thanks Aria. Did everything go okay today? Was Sof a handful?"
"Sis, I have raised twin girls by myself. What is one more? Honestly though, Sof was perfect. I need her to teach Allegra and Aurora some dang manners. We loved having her today. Don't even worry about it."
"Thank you again, Aria. I seriously owe you. When this is over you are taking a weekend away and I will keep the girls. I have to get going though. I will be downstairs so call or text if you need anything. Love you sis." Callie gave Aria a kiss on the cheek and walked to find Sofia.
After two stories because Sofia just had to have a princess story because Mami looked like a princess, Callie was back on the elevator headed down to get the evening started. She wouldn't lie. She was nervous.
She stepped off the elevator and headed towards her father's lounge. She gave a smile to Jack, her father's private security who was manning the door. When she walked in, she immediately saw who her father was talking to. He was laughing his genuine laugh and seemed to be enjoying the conversation he was having. Her father noticed her walk in and waved her over. She smoothed out her nonexistent wrinkles on her dress. "Here we go." She mumbled to herself. While repeating her mantra no sleeping with the golfers.
Arizona POV
"This is stupid Teddy. How have we not found one dress?" Arizona whined.
"Well, we have found multiple dresses Arizona. You are just being uncharacteristically picky." Teddy stated. Already annoyed that their shopping trip had taken 2 hours.
"Teds, I have to look good. I have to make a lasting impression."
"On who? Callie Torres, or the golfers." Teddy had known Arizona for 10 years. She didn't care about getting dressed up unless she was trying to impress someone. That someone, was usually was a woman.
"Come on Teddy. I don't even know her. I want to make a good impression with the other golfers. We both know they already hate me being here. Might as well look good while they are talking about me."
"Okay, whatever you say AZ." Teddy was not even going to argue this. She needed to get back and start getting ready herself. While Arizona was her best friend, and best client Teddy did want to network a bit this weekend. Arizona would always be her main priority, but she knew eventually Arizona would retire. So, she needed to branch out.
Arizona walked up and down the rack at the way too expensive dress store her and Teddy were at. This was their fourth store. If she didn't find something here, she was just going to close her eyes and grab a dress. She honestly could not stand formal parties. She was much more of a jean and a t-shirt at the sports bar type of girl.
As she was walking a piece of blue fabric caught her eye. She walked up to the rack and picked up the dress. When she held it up, she knew she found her dress. Blue was her color. The dress was floor length, a comfortable material, and on sale. Triple score.
"Teddy, what do you think of this? I like it."
Teddy looked at the dress and smiled. "Arizona, that dress was made for you. It is kind of creepy how much it matches your eyes! Lets have you try it on, then we can head out. I actually have some really comfortable silver shoes that would look good with that."
Found a dress and don't even have to shop for shoes? Sounds like a plan to Arizona.
After trying on the dress, confirming she looked great in it, and making her purchase Teddy and Arizona headed back to the hotel. They had 3 hours to get ready. Arizona told Teddy to come up to her room and get ready with her. Teddy said she would be up once she grabbed all her stuff.
Arizona proceeded to shower, apply her make up, and do her hair. She opted for a smoky eye with the rest of her make up being pretty neutral. She also decided to wear her hair down and let her natural wavy hair hang down to her shoulders.
Teddy was getting ready in the other bathroom and Arizona was kind of surprised how quickly they were both moving along. When she slipped on her dress, she heard a loud yell coming from the living area of the suite. She walked out and saw it was her brother. 'Always making an entrance' she thought to herself.
"Hey Timmy. Thanks for announcing your presence, we never would have known you were here without you screaming when you walked in." Arizona joked with her brother.
"I know you were just joking with me and going for an insult, but I have no response. Arizona you look beautiful." Tim just stared at his sister. He kind of wished he would not have made that bet with her about getting more numbers. She looked stunning.
"Aw, thanks Tim. Don't try to soften me up. I know you are scared that all the ladies will flock to me tonight." She joked. "But seriously, you look really good too Timmy. I am so glad you are here with me. This is everything we ever dreamed of." She gave her brother a big hug. Without him, she would never have got here. He was her biggest cheer leader and honestly, no caddy could read a course like Tim.
"Come on Teds! We have to get going." Arizona yelled from the living room.
Teddy walked in and Tim and Arizona's mouths both opened. Woah…Teddy looked beautiful. She was wearing a shimmery black gown with diamond jewelry that played perfectly off the dress.
"Woah Teddy. If you were not as straight as an arrow, I would abandon my plans of picking up another lady tonight. You look absolutely gorgeous."
"As I said, you are not picking anyone up while we are here Arizona. But, thank you. I am really happy with how everything turned out."
Tim just stood there. He hadn't said a word. He also had not taken his eyes off Teddy since she walked into the room. Arizona elbowed her brother and he snapped out of his daze.
"You uh, Teddy you look um really great." Tim fumbled over his words and a blush was quickly forming over his face.
"Well thank you Timothy, you don't look too bad yourself." Teddy replied with a big smile.
Arizona suddenly felt like a third wheel. Were they flirting….? No way. But, come to think of it. That could be pretty cool if they got together. Actually no, that could get messy. Teddy fell hard and Tim was a player. She had to talk to her brother later.
"Ready to go?" Arizona said. Breaking Teddy and Tim's staring contest.
They all headed into the elevator and made their way downstairs.
Arizona walked up to the front desk and told the pretty red head working that Mark had invited her to The Lounge. The red head stared at Arizona a little longer than necessary and made it a point to personally walk their party to the front door. She put her hand on Arizona's forearm and said, "If you need anything at all Ms. Robbins, please don't hesitate to find me." Arizona gave her the dimple smile and winked as she walked into the room they had been escorted to. She knew she looked good and it wasn't fair to flirt the way she did, but she couldn't help it.
When Arizona, Tim, and Teddy walked into the room they were met with the smell of cigar smoke and scotch. This was clearly a private area. The buff security guard at the front door just further confirmed it. Arizona knew that they would be having pre dinner drinks, but she kind of assumed there would be a few more golfers here. As she looked around and took in the brown leather furniture, low lighting, and very well stocked bar in the corner she noticed Mark from earlier talking to an older gentleman.
"Ah, here she is!" Mark bellowed.
The older gentlemen turned around and she was immediately met with a warm smile. Both gentlemen headed over to her and her group.
"Hello. Arizona. My name is Carlos Torres. I can't tell you what an absolute pleasure it is to finally meet you." Carlos extended his and firmly shook hers.
"Mr. Torres, it is great to meet you too. Thank you again, so much for the suite. It was really unnecessary, but I would be lying if I said I was not enjoying it. This is my brother and caddy, Timothy Robbins. And this beautiful woman is my best friend and Manager, Teddy Altman." Arizona felt at ease with these men. They seemed genuine and she was grateful she was meeting Carlos Torres away from the rest of the tour. Handshakes and nice to meet you' s were exchanged.
"Arizona, no need to thank me for the suite. I want you to feel welcome. I know that it is going to be a long few weeks. I just want you comfortable. Also, please call me Carlos." Carlos was charming. She had to give him that. But she could tell he genuinely wanted her there. That made her feel good.
Mark took Teddy and Tim to the bar to get some drinks and left Carlos and Arizona to chat.
"So, Arizona. Tell me. How are you feeling about the next few weeks? I know it must be nerve wracking"
"I am feeling okay. Happy to be here. I know how lucky I am that I am being given this opportunity. I really think it is going to be a good few weeks."
"I want tonight to be fun, but I would be remis if I didn't sneak a little bit of business in. I want to offer you The Torres Company as a sponsor. We would pay for your equipment, clothes, etc. in exchange for you wearing our logo." Carlos was all business right now.
"Carlos, that is a really generous offer. I have a few small names right now. I mean can I really say no when you are putting me up in the most comfortable room I have ever been in? Not to mention whoever designed your logo did a good job. I would be happy to accept. As long as there is nothing Green for me to wear. I don't do Green." Arizona smiled her full dimple smile as she happily accepted.
Carlos just let out a big laugh. "No one looks good in green Arizona. Actually, my daughter, Aria designed our logo. I will have to pass your compliment on to her. This calls for a toast! This is the beginning of a great partnership." Carlos looked over Arizona's shoulder and his smile grew even bigger. He started waving someone over.
"Ah! Arizona, I need to introduce you to my daughter Calliope." Carlos was clearly a proud father. "Calliope, my dear, please come over here and join us!" Carlos called over Arizona's shoulder.
Arizona turned around and froze. There she was. The brunette she could not stop thinking about. She looked unreal. That red dress was hugging all the right places, her hair was up, and you could see her beautiful neck I wonder what it would feel like to kiss that neck. As Arizona was fantasizing about making her moan as she kissed her neck, the Latina approached them.
"Calliope, this here is Arizona Robbins. Arizona, this is my daughter and brains behind The Race, Calliope Torres". Carlos looked giddy while introducing the two. This had the potential to be a great business opportunity for them.
