Hello, everyone! My name is DocRider and welcome to… a mini chapter? Chapter 3.5? of "My Rainy Day Turns into a Waterfall."

So I alluded to this mini chapter in Chapter 3. Heck, even before Chapter 3 officially started. And yes, All Might will regain his version of One for All. Shoutout to PsyckoSama and their story, 'Flashback' for the idea.

As always, I don't own the world I am using, so a disclaimer is here! My Hero Academia and its characters are all owned by Shueisha, Viz Media, Shonen Jump, Studio Bones, Funimation, and, most important of all, Kohei Horikoshi. All other characters in this story are created by me.

Chapter 3.5: An End-of-Summer Rewind

Yeah, Uncle Toshi got reverted to a state before his injury occurred. It happened at the end of summer, only a few months after we saved Eri.

Himiko, Katsuki, Izuku, and I were training on Takoba Beach when we received a call from Nezu, asking us to bring Eri to UA for a check-up with Recovery Girl. We thought it was weird that this was happening just before the end of summer break, but he explained that since it was close to the start of the new term, people would just think that some new students were transferring to UA.

So we headed home and waited with my mom and Eri for the school vehicle to arrive.

Upon arriving at UA, we were taken to Recovery Girl's office, where we were greeted by not only Recovery Girl herself, but Eraserhead, Nezu, and Uncle Toshi, too.

"Uh, Uncle Toshi, what are you doing here? I can understand Eraserhead and Nezu, kinda, but this is just a check-up for Eri."

"Well, Chiyo— Um, I mean, Michiyo—."

'Right, Recovery Girl's real name is Chiyo, isn't it?' I thought. 'Yeah, I could see that making some confusion.'

Uncle Toshi continued, "—I'm just here for a general check-up and to see how Little Eri is doing."

I smiled, silently hoping something chaotic was gonna happen that benefited everyone.

And sure enough, something did happen.

Halfway through the check-up, Recovery Girl asked if she could take some of Eri's blood.

I leaned over to Nezu, who was sitting on a chair next to me and whispered, "Eri's quirk allows her to rewind anything organic to a prior state. I want her to help Uncle Toshi."

I turned and saw a twinkle in his eyes and a chaotic smile on his face.

"I think that can be arranged, if the little one's quirk cooperates."

I got up from the chair and walked over to where Eri was sitting on the bed with my mom. I grab her hand and whisper to her, "Wanna know something cool, Eri? Your quirk could help fix All Might."

She gave me the curious tilt of her head as she said, "It can? How?"

"Your quirk allows you to turn back time on anything living. Maybe we can turn All Might back to before he got hurt. Wanna try?"

She nodded, a small spark of determination forming in her eyes.

"Wait here, then. I'm gonna ask Recovery Girl if it's ok."

I got up from in front of Eri and walked over to where Recovery Girl was preparing the syringes for blood work.

"Hey, Recovery Girl, I got a question for you."

"What is it, dearie?"

"I wanna try something to help Uncle Toshi that involves Eri's quirk."

She gave me a questioning look. "And I take it you know what Eri's quirk does?"

I nodded, grateful that she was letting me elaborate before giving a solid answer.

"It's the power to rewind organic objects to a prior state, like potentially Uncle Toshi to a point before his battle and subsequent injury."

"It's worth a shot, provided all parties involved are in agreement."

I walked back to Eri and asked, "Are you ready to try this?"

She nodded, the spark of determination growing into a small flame.

I grabbed her hand and walked her over to Uncle Toshi, where she sat on his lap.

"Michiyo, what's this about?"

I let go of Eri's hand as her horn started glowing, signifying the activation of her quirk.

"Eraserhead, please don't nullify her quirk immediately. I'll tell you when."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nezu and Eraserhead having a silent conversation on whether this was a good idea before Eraserhead sighed and got up, ready to use his quirk.

All of us in the room watched as the sickly twig that was Toshinori Yagi was starting to gain mass once again; not to the point of his Muscled Form, but much healthier than what it was.

He lifted up his shirt and we all watched as the injury that had crippled him reverted until there was nothing there.

Once it was completely gone, I shouted, "ERASERHEAD, NOW!"

All of a sudden, the glowing of Eri's quirk stopped, nullified by Erasure. I rushed over and grabbed Eri and carried her back to the bed. She was out like a light after that display.

I look back at Uncle Toshi, looking like he did all those years ago just before my reincarnation.

"How do you feel, Uncle Toshi?"

"I feel fantastic, Michiyo. But how did you do it?" He had a mixed look of confusion and joy on his face.

"I knew what Eri's quirk did. And I figured that with Eraserhead here, we could take the chance."

"I feel incredible…" He trailed off before exclaiming, "Thank you, Michiyo-chan. And thank you, Young Eri."

After Eri's blood was taken and she was woken up, the rest of the check-up went smoothly. Eri received a lollipop for doing a good job and Mom and Eri returned home, Eraserhead in tow to keep an eye on Eri.

As I was leaving, Uncle Toshi pulled me aside and said, "Michiyo, I don't know what happened, but I can still feel One for All. It's not as powerful as when I gave it to Young Midoriya, but I can feel it!"

"Well, if Eri reverted you to before your fight and injury, it'd make sense that she'd revert you to a point before you gave Izuku One for All. And since Izuku has the actual quirk, it also makes sense that you'd have a watered-down version of it."

I heard chuckling coming from behind me, and I turned to see Nezu laughing.

"Oh, this is perfect; there are now two copies of One for All!"

I giggled a bit before hearing someone clearing their throat. Turning around again, I see Recovery Girl tapping her foot on the ground.

"Well I'm glad that that worked for the better. It looks like I'm gonna need to do another check-up on you, Toshinori."

Uncle Toshi was back and better than ever and returned to hero work. But that didn't stop him from training my friends and I for the Entrance Exam or visiting the family from time to time. One thing we did notice, though, was that the amount of power he has using One for All was only a fraction of what Izuku can access right now.

And me, I felt happy with myself. I had helped one of my favourite heroes in the world regain his life. If the Kamino Ward incident happens, then it's gonna go down very differently than in canon, that much is for sure.

But first, we have to get to UA.

And there's the mini-chapter done.

It was difficult to write, since I didn't know how to go about it at first, but once I got started, it just started writing itself.

Now, for a little bit of clean-up: All Might was reverted to before the battle with All for One. But even though he regained One for All, it's more of an echo of One for All, and as such, it only has a fraction of the power that normal One for All (the version in Izuku) has. I'm doing it so that All Might doesn't become the focus of the story.

Another thing: I'll be increasing the class sizes to 22, to accommodate another OC character that will be joining the story in chapter 4. This means that Whirlwind boy (Inasa) will be joining class 1-B at the start of the story.

Here's the preview: It's the day of the UA Entrance Exam, and everything is going fine, except Michiyo starts to see a familiar face.
