The Future Warrior And The Lightning Thief
Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Xenoverse or Percy Jackson and the Olympians in any way, shape, or form. The only thing I own is my Future Warrior.
AadenHelan: I didn't think that I needed to explain this but seeing as how you jumped to the wrong conclusion I'll have to elaborate. The Future Warrior is NOT cheating on Rhea. If he has a one-night stand with Aphrodite, then obviously it would be before they get together. And you are half right concerning the hybrids.
They have more latent potential to be stronger than full-blooded Saiyans such as with the case of with Gohan, but like we've seen in the series they lack the same drive as their fathers and eventually settle down to start families of their own and have a normal life such as with Gohan becoming a scholar, and Trunks becoming the CEO of Capsule Corps.
And how exactly is Rota dumb? I do agree that he is arrogant as like I said in the first chapter, he hails from Planet Vegeta, so it is only natural for him to be arrogant and cocky like every other Saiyan from that era, Gine not included. At least he is not blowing up planets and slaughtered everyone that he comes across like we saw Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz do when they first appeared in the series; so really, he is pretty tame in comparison.
Dimension Distorter: I agree with pretty much everything you said other than Athena being decent. Personally, I consider her one of the worst Gods arounds considering how she created two of the worst monsters in all of Greek Mythology in the form of Medusa and Arachne, the former to get back at Poseidon and the latter from her hubris that a mortal was better than her at anything let alone something she invented.
Crytach: He will eventually after spending some time with Rhea who will slowly change his personality to match DBS Vegeta who has grown to be a good man and loving father.
Nliochristou: Yes, I am planning on including over pantheons later down the road.
Flash: I agree with you, I'm tired of seeing goofy, carefree Saiyan OC's in stories. It's like people forget that the Saiyans were a ruthless, aggressive species that committed mass genocide on a daily basis. Goku at least has a reason for his personality since not only was he raised on earth, but he bumped his head, at least he did in the OG Dragon Ball, and forgot everything about his Saiyan heritage.
Perseus: I don't plan for Rota to be submissive as unlike the Demigods in the series not only does he have no affiliation with Olympus, but he has the power to defend himself if the Gods threaten to smite him for his disrespect when all he'll be doing is speaking the truth.
And his parents loved him...at least for Saiyan's they did. They might not have shown him love like humans' parents would but they taught him everything they knew so that he would be strong, and for a Saiyan that means everything.
Guest: I'm not sure if you even read this story since you seemed to have the time to go onto every one of my stories and trolled me by saying the same thing on each one...I guess some people have all the time in the world; whatever floats your boat.
Cypher1990: Well, it was only a suggestion. Nothing is set in stone yet.
KRPrime: Not well physically seeing as how Beerus is at least universal in power, and possibly higher in Xenoverse since Xeno Goku is low Multiverse in power, same for Vegeta, Chronoa and most of the Xenoverse/Dragon Ball Heroes cast.
Chapter 5.
The skies over the grand and illustrious county of Japan were like something out of a fairy tale. The sky was a rich blue colour that made it seem like they were crafted from sapphire, and the clouds looked like thick, fluffy pillows that gently sailed across the horizon, just out of reach to the mere mortals that looked up at the sky. There were small black patches here and there as birds of all shapes and sizes that had come from far away to enjoy the summer before they migrated for the winter; and finally, there was a small blur that soared through the air quicker than the human eye or one of their machines could track...
Wait what?
"ROTA PUT ME DOWN!" Rhea screamed at the top of her lungs, which was pretty loud due to her superior lung capacity, as she held onto dear life after man that had fallen into her life, quite literally, broke the laws of gravity and shot off into the air and flew towards the capital of Japan, which only moments ago had been a cluster of buildings far in the distance.
"Poor choice of words." Rota laughed in amusement as he flew towards the buildings in the distance. "Perhaps you would like to rephrase that?" He asked as he raced passed a small little village beneath them.
Rhea meanwhile glared at the Saiyan as she clung to him like her life depended on it and held onto dear life as they raced plains of Japan, villages and towns becoming nothing more than blurs as they hurtled passed them at speeds she had never moved at in her life; although in truth she had never tried.
"Why did you do that?" Rhea finally asked the Saiyan after taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, as well as the adrenaline; did Zeus get that every time he took to the skies? Or had he done it for so long now that it had lost the exhilaration it once had? A question to ask him the next time she saw her little thunder cloud.
"Do what?" Rota replied as he started slowing down when the cluster of buildings, which had seconds ago been far away, got bigger.
"What do you think?!" The Titan of Comfort snapped irritably at her newest, and only, house guest. "Take off like that. Don't you know what you've done?!"
"Got us to this Tokyo quicker than some stupid bus would have?" The Future Warrior retorted calmly not seeing what the problem was.
"Maybe." Rhea had to give him that as she wrapped her arms tighter around his neck to prevent herself slipping from his grasp at the ridiculous speed they were traveling. Once she did her meadow green eyes widened in disbelief when she saw Tokyo directly in front of them; they had reached it within a couple of seconds.
"You're agreeing with me?" The Saiyan snorted lightly. "The world must be ending." He joked only to feel her arms tighten around his neck making him smirk, she really was easy to rile up.
"If you shut up for a second and let me explain." Rhea grumbled at him, growing frustrated that he always seemed to have some sort of snarky comment waiting for her. "You used your powers in front of mortals."
"Err, it might have escaped your notice but I'm mortal." The Future Warrior kindly reminded the deity on his back as he reached the city, which he noticed was filled with countless humans all going about their daily lives. He also noted that the city, other than being more populated then the cities back on his Earth, had hundreds of signs covering just about every building in sight…..so people didn't forget where they were he supposed.
"You don't count." Rhea ignored his remark before she tightened her hold as he suddenly turned on the breaks and stopped mid-air above the city. "You're an alien."
"Hmph, didn't label you as a racist." He snorted as he stared down at the city below, not one of the humans below bothering to look up as they walked through the massive crowds; honestly, how did so many people coexist in a single city. Didn't anyone think about moving away? There was no threat of being eaten by dinosaurs in this reality, they had all been wiped out by a meteor thousands of years prior.
"That's not what I meant!" She grumbled at the spiky haired teen. "But considering that you can break the laws of physics and fly, as well as creating energy from your body I don't think you can really consider yourself mortal, do you?"
"Of course I consider myself mortal, woman." Rota said incredulously, shaking his head at her foolish question. "I can still die like any other man or woman you find on this floating rock…. I'm just a little harder to kill is all, but not invulnerable."
"I'll take that into consideration." Rhea teased slightly, smiling in his arms before she frowned. "And my name is Rhea. R.H.E.A. What are you finding so hard to remember?" She quizzed.
"Maybe I think that woman suit you better." The Future Warrior smirked as he turned his head to look over his shoulder at her. Black eyes met green, the former glaring at him. "That or I know it annoys you so easily."
"Bastard."
"I aim to please." Rota chuckled slightly, finding her somewhat favourable company to the people back home, especially the people back on planet Vegeta. "So, where to?"
"We need to find somewhere to land." She stated firmly as she looked around to find a suitable place for him to land.
"Fair enough, down we go." The Hero of Time shrugged as he prepared to land in the heart of the city. Alas, before he could do so….
"Somewhere that we'll be unnoticed by the mortals!" Rhea quickly suggested before he could do something stupid like revealing to Japan, and eventually the world, that there was a man that could fly unassisted by either jetpack or wingsuit. She could already imagine the headaches, as well as changes, it would bring it word ever got out that not only were there aliens but also Gods that walked among them.
"Why are you so insisted that people don't see us?" Rota quizzed sounding a little fed up with her continuous nagging about whether or not the humans saw them. " Never done the ones on my Earth any harm."
"Maybe so." Rhea began slowly. "But on your Earth dinosaurs still roam the world."
"Huh! You were listening."
"Obviously." The daughter of Ouranos retorted. "When people tell me things, I tend to remember them...unlike some people I know."
"That a dig at me?"
"Did I say you?" Rhea replied calmly, before she smirked at him. "Although, if that was your first response." She all but sung out smiling at the scowl that formed across his face; but then that was his normal look now she thought about it.
"Whatever." The Time Patroller grunted, choosing not to play her little game. Looking around, he searched out for a place with a bare minimum amount of Ki signatures for him to land, anything to stop her nagging...no wonder Hestia didn't live with her. She had the good sense not too, probably the same about her other children to now that he thought about it. Nothing worse than an overbearing mother that never aged; at least he never had that with his mother...she had other means of torturing him.
"What in Vegeta's name was that?!" His mother's voice popped into his head. "I've fought Saibamen more impressive!"
"Just let me catch my breath."
"YOUR ENEMY WILL NOT LET YOU CATCH YOUR BREATH! WHY SHOULD I?"
"Errr, because I'm your son?"
"Your point being?!"
"My point being...THAT ONCE I HAVE I'm GOING TO DEFEAT YOU!"
"Heh! So I did birth a Saiyan after all, that's more like it." He could recall his mother laughing at his proclaim. "Though you're still aways of from that happening, you little tike."
"That's right, boast all you like! It'll just make my victory all the sweeter!"
"Hmph! Time to finish this, brat. HUNTING ARROW!"
"Heh," Rota snorted thinking about one of the many battles with his mother during his father absence, mostly because he was on missions with Bardock and the rest of his team. "Good times."
"What were?"
"Nothing." The Saiyan quickly said as he looked away from the Titaness and over to the large building where the least amount of people were gathered.
"Didn't sound like nothing." Rhea commented to the Time Patroller. "You sounded happy almost, dare I say whimsical."
"You're imagining things, woman." Rota stated firmly, refusing to say anything more on the matter. "That should be a good place to land." He added nodding down to the large building that gaps in the side revealing parked Hovercars, or simply cars as he guessed they were called here, in the building. Did the humans really just leave their cars unattended instead of storing them in a dynocap and sticking them in their pockets while they walked around the city? What a strange world indeed.
While Rota was busy monologuing about the differences between Earth of universe seven and the one he was currently on, Rhea frowned noticing that he had dodged the subject about what he had been thinking about previously. In all the time she had known him, which admittingly was not long, she could not recall him sounding happy, not once. But just then...he sounded contented. Like for that brief moment all was right in the world...as corny as that sounded.
It made her curious about what he had just been thinking about. Granted if she felt like it could read his mind, it was a ability that all Gods and Titans possessed, but she did not want to invade his privacy or violate him in such a way, it really was the equivalent being raped. The recipient was powerless in fighting of their aggressor as they intruded through their mind, observing every memory they had and slowly broke them as they were forced to relive the worst moments of their lives over, and over, and over again.
Back in the Golden Age, Kronos would often use it to torture his enemies or those he feared would betray him, although most of the time he simply used it for entertainment. He always did love to watch people squirm.
"Are you going to get off today or not?" An impatient voice asked pulling the mother of the Elder Six back to reality to see that they had landed atop a parking lot that was deserted other than the cars that were parked.
Rhea felt her cheeks heat up as she noticed that she was still in the Saiyan's arms and quickly jumped off. "You could have told me that you landed" She grumbled at him.
"Last time I checked you had eyes...or did that change during the trip?" The Future asked rhetorically as he glanced over his shoulder to see her glaring at him...damn, she was hot when she glared it him. He quickly shook those sorts of thoughts away, now was not the time or the place. Besides, he blamed his damned Saiyan heritage. It was hardwired into all Saiyan's, regardless of their gender, to search for strong mates, and he guessed that Rhea had a few of those attributes that he would be looking for if he wanted a mate to continue the bloodline...
Problem was most of her traits were negative ones...stupid woman was overbearing, naggy, stuck-up, pretentious, smug, sarcastic and that was only skimming the surface! He was sure that given enough time he would find a lot more. She was the gift that kept on giving...no wonder she was still single.
"No," Rhea felt her mood worsening as she conversed with her guest. He really did bring out all her worst qualities, she would be glad when he was gone...either that or she would instil some manners into him during his stay, that last thought didn't sound so bad to her now she thought about. "I was just lost in my thoughts."
"Ah," Rota nodded in understanding, though Rhea's meadow green eyes narrowed feeling an insult coming. "no wonder you got lost. There is a lot of free space in there."
"Shut up." Rhea grumbled as she brushed past him and began walking towards the stairs.
"Hit a nerve have I?" He smirked as he followed behind her.
"Shut up!" The Titan snapped at him, refusing to turn around and face him." The sooner we get this over with the quicker we can go our separate ways!" She finished with a scowl over her beautiful face. And to think only moments ago she had felt sorry for him, hah! She won't be making that mistake again, no way, no how!
"Hmphed!" The Saiyan lightly snorted. "You know, I'm sure those are Hestia exact sentiments when she has to come and visit you." That got a reaction as Rhea stopped abruptly, spun around and jabbed a finger into his chest.
"Hestia loves spending time with me thank you very much!" She rounded on the Saiyan and roughly poked his chest. "All my children do!"
"Sure they do," the Saiyan drawled. " I mean I really enjoyed the conversations with your kids...oh, now wait a minute. I've only met the one, silly me." he mocked shaking his head like he was the biggest idiot around.
"They're busy with their duties!" she rebuked firmly as she glared daggers at him.
"Hey, you haven't gotta justify your kids to me, Rhea. I'm sure they have a reason for ignoring you for years on end." he chuckled ignoring her glare. "Besides, what're you getting so angry for? I'm only making conversation." he added as he wandered down the steps. "You coming?"
Rhea took a deep breath and did her absolute best not to let him get underneath her skin, like she knew he was trying too, but found herself failing even that. "He'll be gone soon." She assured herself mentally as she watched him walk down the stairs to the multi-story carpark. "And I'll never have to deal with him again." That brought a smile to her beautiful features as she suddenly became optimistic that he would be gone soon.
Following after her unpleasant guest, she brushed past him and headed down the steps that led to the ground floor until they were both standing on the busy streets of Tokyo, which like usual was bustling with activity as the mortals went about their daily lives, oblivious to the fact that a deity and an alien were standing among them; but then she doubted that many of them had even heard of the Olympians let alone their mother.
"Hm, reminds me of West City...just more humans around."
"What's that?" Rhea asked looking up at her ill-mannered guest that was observing the crowd of mortals that were moving through the city, though she did notice that Rota was getting several looks from the crowd as they looked at the near naked man that was standing on the pavement; not that she blamed them. Despite his rudeness even she would admit that he had a body that even the gods would envy...she was certain that many goddesses/ demigods would be fawning over him if they were to see him without a shirt on.
"A city in the west." Rota answered smirking at the dull look that Rhea sent him. "I thought the name would be a dead giveaway." He added making the Titaness click her tongue in annoyance.
"You're incapable even having the most basic conversations, aren't you?" Rhea grumbled as she brushed passed him, making sure to hit him, and started walking with the crowd and into the city.
"No." The Future Warrior voiced from behind as he followed his host. "But I do find it funny how even the slightest thing sets you off...you really do have a lot of pent-up aggression." He chuckled as he walked beside Rhea, smirking when he noticed as jaw and shoulders tense up.
"You're living in my house, Rota." Rhea snapped at him, her meadow-green eyes glaring heatedly. "Damn right I'm agitated."
"And here was me thinking that you were warming up to me."
"The only warming up I want to do with you is throwing you in the hearth." She hissed at the Saiyan who seemed to be more amused than anything else.
"You're such a flirt."
"Grow up." She rolled her eyes at him. As if she would sink so low as to flirt with an ignorant, pig-headed, stubborn, rude, and arrogant man like him. She would rather sleep with Kronos again...and that was saying something considering how much she still, and always would, hate her ex-husband. The bastard that had robbed her of the opportunity of raising her children and having a family, something she would never forgive.
"I'm taller than you, Rhea...so maybe you should take your own advice." The Saiyan chuckled lightly missing the eyeroll from the beautiful Titaness.
"Not what I meant," she sighed shaking her head at the fool that was accompanying her. "and for your information I can become any height I chose to be...I just prefer to be this height is all."
"Uh-huh."
"It is." Rhea hissed at the Saiyan.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." shrugged Rota as he walked beside her, discreetly smirking as he did. It seemed much like Vegeta the immortal was sensitive about her height; the only difference he supposed was that unlike Vegeta she wasn't bad to look at...that and he didn't need to worry about her blowing up the planet in her rage. Not because she wasn't strong enough, but rather that she had no idea how to draw out and use her Ki...which was a little strange considering that she was a God, or at least their predecessors.
"I don't have to listen to this." Rhea huffed as she maneuverer around the crowd of mortals that were heading through the city. Glancing over her shoulder, the Titaness looked to see that unlike her, Rota was less subtle and simply pushed his way through the crowd with a look of annoyance at the close proximity of the men and woman that were jampacked on the pavement and even on the side of the roads.
"I don't see why we couldn't just fly." he grumbled earning a few looks from the mortals and a glare from the beautiful Titan. "It would save us a lot of time." he added as he followed behind Rhea.
"Stop your moaning we're nearly there." she hissed at him only to get a look by one of the pedestrians that made her cheeks heat up in embarrassment; stupid monkey boy. He'd better pray her mood bettered before they reached the clothing store otherwise, she may feel inclined to make him wear something ridiculous whilst he stayed with her for the foreseeable future...she wondered how he felt about leather, better yet a bright pink outfit; HA! they would teach him that his actions had repercussions.
"Careful." Rhea heard her guest comment and turned her head to see him walking besides her. Looking at him she saw the serious expression that was written across his face...she was beginning to wonder if perhaps he had form of telepathic abilities that he had failed to mention. "You could strain yourself thinking that hard." he finished with a smirk that set off the typically calm and patient immortal.
"Oh, why do I even bother with you, Rota?!" She grumbled at the Saiyan Warrior and stormed off ahead...meanwhile the Saiyan laughed loudly getting a few looks from the humans next to him, not that he paid much attention too, as he watched Rhea break away from him and push through the crowd. Still, his eyes lingered on her retreating jean-covered backside that seemed to sway side to side drawing the masses. Say what you like about the woman...but she certainly knew how to get a man's attention.
He was certain that if Master Roshi had been there in his stead that he would be trying to cop a feel every chance he got...but unlike Chi-Chi and Bulma one of Rhea's kicks would send him off world; of course, he was sure that he had gotten the message when he tried to cop a feel of Eighteens arse during his stay on Toki Toki; the old man was persistent he would give him that.
After walking in silence for at least another ten minutes, Rota followed Rhea through the city until they finally reached their destination. Stepping into the store, he noted that it wasn't all that different from the stores that were at Toki Toki City or the cities located on the Earth of Universe Seven, the only difference was that the store attendants/workers were all humans and there were no robots to assistance their customers...as well as there being no battle armour anywhere; overall it was pretty disappointing.
He hoped it would not be too long before Trunks and the others used the Dragon Balls to summon him back to Toki Toki. Not because he didn't like spending time with the Titanness, it was rather amusing at how riled up she got, but rather he had worse battle since the moment he exited the incubator and all through his life...not wearing made him feel naked, all exposed. Granted it would take a great deal of power to hurt him such as with the case with Demigra, be that as it may the clothes that the other species wore were simply too light for his liking.
What was the point of wearing something if it offered the wearing no deal of protection whatsoever?
"Welcome, welcome, how can I help you both today?" The Saiyan heard a bubbly and energetic voice ask the moment that the two of them had entered the store and began looking around. As he turned to the source of the voice, he saw that it belonged to a young woman that had short black hair that was cut short and wearing a purple kimono not unlike the one he had seen Chi-Chi wearing during one of Bulma's many, many parties.
"Yes," Rhea answered and smiled brightly, her previous foul mood subsiding as soon as she entered the store. "We're in some desperate need of some clothes for my guest." she added finishing the last word through gritted teeth, thankfully the attendant did not seem to notice as her eyes lingered on the Saiyan naked torso and sighed blissfully as she stared at his herculean build that even the sons of Zeus would envy.
Rhea waited patiently until finally she had enough of the woman ogling her house guest...that and she had other things to do aside from buying an ungrateful, self-centred alien clothes to better help him blend in, she coughed into her hand to get the woman's attention as Rota slowly wandered around the shop scowling at the mortal's taste of fashion.
Realizing what she had been doing and the fact that she had been caught doing it, the woman blushed up a storm and quickly collected herself. "W-what sort of style were you looking for?"
"Anything that will make him look somewhat presentable." replied the Titaness as she looked at the Saiyan who refused to play her little game as he continued to walk around the store. "The airport lost all of his luggage and the shirt he had been wearing unfortunately shrunk in the wash," she explained telling a little white lie to the mortal. "as you can see from his shirtless appearance." she added getting a look of understanding from the woman.
"I understand." she said clasping her hands together. "So," she began to say eyes drifted over to the Saiyan as he went around the corner before returning to Rhea. "Is there any particular style you're looking for or..."
"Honestly, at the moment anything would be preferable to him walking around half-naked."
"I beg to differ." Rhea heard the woman mutter under her breath making her roll her meadow-green eyes at her. "But I'm certain that we have something that your..."
"Oh, he's my..."
"Son!" both women heard Rota call from the other side of the shop, it seemed that super hearing was another of his abilities.
"Your son?" the shop attendant sounded almost as surprised as Rhea looked. "Forgive my rudeness but I did not take you for his mother...you must have had him extremely young."
"No," The Future Warrior answered for Rhea as he stuck his head around the corner. "she's just had a lot of work done." he smirked as Rhea glared bloody murder at him as she tried and ultimately failed to keep her anger in check.
"He is not my son," Rhea stressed through gritted teeth. "just and annoying guest that I happen to share my home with." she added with pursed lips before turning back to the mortal woman who looked uncomfortable not sure what or if she should say anything in fear of losing a paying customer. "Actually, you asked if I had a style in mind, yes?"
"Yes."
"Have you got anything in pink?" Rhea questioned looking smug when she saw the Saiyan's smirk drop before his eyes narrowed...and unless she was mistaken, she could've sworn that his eyes flashed jade green for a second, but she brushed it off believing that she must have imagined it.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Rota growled as he stepped from around the corner and glared at the smug looking immortal. "I will not be seen wearing pink, I am a proud SAI..."
"Ignore him." Rhea smiled beautifully at the store attendant. "Now, where are those pink shirts?"
And cut! well here is the next chapter of The Future Warrior and the Lightning Thief, I hoped you enjoyed it. Now I know it was short and nothing nearly happened but since it's been a while since I last updated, and it would take another week before I actually finished it by adding more scenes and with Rhea and Rota meeting the Shinto gods. I'll try and update again once I've got time.
Nothing really to add other than please let me know what you all thought.
Until next time :)
