Chapter 5
Yes my Joseph is on the Oc side but after reading bits about him he also has the word warlord to describe him and i think I'll give him more of a badass vibe then what he usually has.
Joseph pov
It was night time and i was standing on the bank of the river next to Jacob. We watched John our baby brother baptizing the last group of people for the night with his followers helping out. Leaning against the truck i took the last draw of my cigarette.
" Are the bunkers finished." I asked as i blew out smoke and ashed my cigarette.
"Almost, had a few problems with contractors but other than that everything is on track and almost done." said Jacob
"Good."
"Joseph... the whitetails are giving me some grief so I may not be as available as much as i usually am to you and John for the next few days while i sort it all out."
"It's fine Jacob i just want progress no matter how little it is, As well if i need anything while your busy I'm sure John could give me a helping hand. If you want, capture some of the Whitetails that don't want to join us and begin the training program you created and see how well it works out." I smirked.
"Thank you." Said Jacob as he also smirked back.
We all had our "problems" even more so when we were separated at a young age. But such is life and god has given me a purpose to fulfill. Even though i had two brothers who would happily keep doing my task if i passed, it wasn't the same feeling of safety that i had if i was to have an heir to pass it all onto.
"I can hear you thinking Joe, Stop stressing about finding a perfect wife, shit, let it come naturally and you may surprise your self in what you like." said Jacob
"When did you become an all seeing eye." I chuckled.
"The day i got you and John back, John as much as he loves baptizing people and near drowning them with glee, he also pays attention in his own way to you. We are a little worried some days, but we know if you ever need help you'd just ask."
"I'm glad i have you both again." Answering back.
Stepping away from the truck i made my way over towards John. Watching John do his work always amuses me especially when he got excited about it.
"Do you promise to follow the word of the father."? Asked John
"Yes."
"Do you promise not to sin."? Said John raising his voice a little louder
"Yes."
"Do you promise to always except our ways into your heart and to guide others that may need help." Shouted John
"Yes."
"Last but not least, do you promise to atone your sins and to wear them so others can see what you have freed your self from." Said John with passion in his voice.
"Yes." shouted the person with hope.
Lifting the person out of the water he embraced them into a hug.
"Go with my followers they will show you the next steps."
Watching the person been helped out of the water i came closer to the edge wating for John to come out.
"Hel-lo father." Stuttered the person as they walked pass me.
I turned slightly to face the person "Welcome my new child to Eden's gate." I replied back. Watching the group of people climb into one of the trucks they took off back to the compound, leaving myself and my two brothers .
Hearing the light splashing of water i turned fully back to see John coming out of the water. Walking over to him, i embraced him in a hug leaning my forehead against his.
"Hello Joe." Smiled John
"Hello baby Jonny boy." I replied trying to keep a straight face.
"Really, did Jacob tell you to call me that." Grunted John
Chuckling i responded "Yes."
Leaning away from me to look around at Jacob, John called out " Why."
"Because you hate it and its one of many few things that amuse me greatly." Shouted Jacob
"Your reaction is always a good one as well." I chipped in.
"Come one lets get going, its late and I'm hungry." Stated John
Following John back to the truck we all pilled in to go back home.
Arriving back home and getting out of the truck i made a bee line straight for our building.
"What's the rush Joe." Queried John
"Just getting inside before I'm stopped by a member of our group." I responded
"When ever Joseph has a spare moment people seem to come out of the wood works asking him all sorts of questions." Said Jacob
"I love them all but a man needs some alone time to recharge once in a while." i chuckled
"True true...so when you giving up those cigarettes Joseph, you know its an addiction that can lead into all sorts of sins." Said John with a twinkle in his eye
John was forever asking me when i was going to stop my bad habit.
"When you stop fucking every bit of pussy that comes your way for work." I replied with a small smile showing some teeth.
"Haha ha ...fuck...shit this is gold." laughed Jacob in-between having a coughing fit.
"Never." Said John
"Well there is your answer." I said as i sat down on the couch near Jacob.
"Do you guys want anything to eat while I'm in the kitchen." Asked John
"No thank you." I replied
"Beer please." Was Jacobs response.
"On another note i manage to buy up more land to build my self a ranch to live on so I'm not always trapped inside the bunker."
"Congratulations brother." I said
Jacob just grunted his response while he was taking a sip of beer.
"Thank you." said John
"Please don't forget we have a sermon on this Sunday, i want to try and draw more people to us that aren't thick in the head. Worse comes to it we can always ask faith to dose the newcomers with bliss." I said as i got up to make my way to bed.
"Don't we want people to trust us first." said Jacob
"Yes i know, but look at the country bumpkins flocking in. Would you really want to breed with them to start our new world or would you rather more smarter and head screwed on type of people."
"Don't really care as long as i have my family by my side Joseph." Replied Jacob
"And this is why i make the main decisions, no offence Jacob, you stick to what you know best okay." I half shouted back as i made it up the stairs to the next level.
Getting into bed i conked out quickly.
