Here's Chapter 5! I hope you are enjoying this story so far. I'm sort of making it up as I go. Chapter 6 coming soon. Enjoy!
Rosemary and Lee were over the moon with happiness. Everywhere they went, their smiles were bright and wide. Rosemary was still feeling sick every now and then, but overall she and their baby were doing well. The bump on her belly was getting harder and harder to hide, so they decided it was time to tell their friends.
"Elizabeth, guess what?" Rosemary burst in
"Rosemary! You scared me!" Elizabeth lifted her hand to her chest,
"I have some wonderful new that you would like to hear."
"What is it Rosemary?" Elizabeth asked
"In about 5 and a half months, Eliza will have a little friend to play with."
"You're pregnant?"
"Yes" she tapped her belly lightly
"Oh, Rosemary! That's wonderful!" Elizabeth jumped up and hugged her friend.
What Rosemary didn't know was that just that morning Elizabeth and Abigail had suspected that soon the news would be revealed to them.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Three months passed, and Rosemary was feeling very pregnant. Lucas and Fiona were preparing for their wedding, and Nathan and Hannah's relationship was going about the same, which greatly bothered them both. Nathan felt ready, but didn't want to offend Hannah. Hannah was ready, and waiting for Nathan to confess his love first.
Finally, Hannah decided to take action.
"Nathan, I have to confess something to you." Hannah said timidly. She was so nervous
"Go ahead." He smiled
"I don't really know how to say this," she blushed bright pink
"It's okay Hannah. I won't be offended." He reassured her
"I think I'm in love with you." There. No going back now.
"Really?" He sat there speechless
"Yes."
He grabbed her hand and led her outside of the cafe where they had been enjoying lunch together.
"Me too." He said. His hands slipped gently around her waist and pulled her body closer to him and kissed her with all that he had. Her heart jumped out of her chest, stunned at his sudden display of affection, but enjoying every second of it.
They pulled apart, quickly catching their breath before Hannah leaned in for another one of Nathan's heavenly kisses.
"I love you, Hannah." Nathan whispered between kisses "a lot."
He pulled away, "I've loved you since our first date. I didn't want to tell you, because I didn't know if you were ready." He caressed her soft, freckled cheek.
"Oh, I've been ready since then too." She laughed
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." He kissed her cheek gently.
From that day on, Nathan and Hannah spent all their spare time together. Whether just laying in each other's arms, going on picnics and walks, or spending time with their friends. Nathan told Hannah the truth about what had happened with Joanna. She shared with him her past loves and heartbreaks, not that she had had too many, but she had had enough.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Lucas asked Fiona, whose head was leaning against his chest. She listened to the rhythmic beating of his heart
"I'm more than ready. I wish we were already married. It's too hard to wait." She whined
"I feel that way too. Just one more night, my love." He stroked her silky dark hair
"I know." She sighed contentedly, looking up into his brown eyes
He kissed her sweetly, passionately, "I hope our children have your eyes." He told her
"You realise our eyes are nearly the same, right?" She laughed
"But your eyes are kind, and mischievous." He told her
"So are yours."
The night was long for Fiona, as she tossed and turned. She hadn't felt nervous before, but now her heart was aflutter, and her stomach in knots.
Lucas couldn't sleep either. He was nervous too, but picture of Fiona walking down the aisle calmed his jittery nerves.
The next morning morning was busy for them both. Lucas fiddled with his tie, over and over again. It wasn't like he hadn't worn a tie before. He wore one every day, but of course today, it seemed to have a mind of its own.
Fiona slipped on her dress. It was white, of course, with a rather daring neckline, and a five foot train. It suited her perfectly. Clara did her hair, she was much more experienced now than when she had helped Fiona with the hairstyle booth at the carnival two years ago, but easily distracted, since she had to tend to her 3 week old son, David.
Minnie and Florence made the wedding cake. Rosemary and Elizabeth were in charge of decorating the saloon, while Molly, along with Hannah, arranged the flowers.
Everyone helped to get things ready for another Hope Valley wedding.
Finally the ceremony began. Fiona was walked down the aisle by Ned. They said their vows. "Fiona Miller, I take you to be my lawfully wedded wife. I promise to love you, to care for you, to be there for you, to support you, to help you, to stay up with you when you can't sleep. I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, to give you freedom, and to comfort you."
"Lucas Bouchard, I promise to be on your side, to love you with all my heart, to make you smile, to support you, and to kiss you a lot." She laughed.
They exchanged rings and kissed. Nathan and Hannah looked at each other, Jack and Elizabeth shared a knowing glance, remembering their own wedding. Lee squeezed Rosemary's hand, Jesse moved a little closer to Clara.
The reception was beautiful, and they all had a wonderful time, but on the inside, Lucas and Fiona wanted to leave. They sat on the floor behind the bar, stealing a few good kisses while their guests were distracted.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"I can't believe it. We're finally married." Fiona took Lucas' hand and twirled around.
"We're married, and were home!" He swept her off her feet and carried her to their new bedroom. Laying her gently down on the bed, he pulled off his shoes and unlaced hers.
"Come up here." Lucas was standing on the bed, holding out his hand. She grabbed it, giggling as they both stood on the bed.
"Mother always taught us never to jump on the bed."
"Well you aren't you Mother's anymore. Your mine now."
They jumped on the bed twirling around and around. After a few spins, they collapsed onto the mattress with laughter.
Slowly she climbed onto him, removing his tie, and unbuttoning his shirt. She ran her hands up his exposed muscular chest. She leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss.
His fingers worked on the buttons on the back of her dress, while kissing her.
Gradually, they both slid out of their layers of clothing and felt the feeling of each other's bare skin. His stubby beard tickled her smooth face as he nuzzled her gently.
"Thank you for making me the happiest man alive." He whispered in her ear
"Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world." She whispered back.
