"How is she so good at this?" Renee groaned. "And how are they still going?"

Viveca shrugged. "Maybe it's because she's always running from her cousin and he's used to chasing cows?"

Aramina laughed from where she was sprawled out on the floor. "I think they're finding strength in each other's eyes."

Renee and Viveca glanced at each other. "Not likely."

Louis let out a loud groan as his back slammed into the hard floor..

"You just don't give up, do you?" Corinne asked with a grin.

He shrugged. "Is there a reason I should?"

She chuckled as she straightened and offered a hand down to him. "You're getting better. But I need to go now. Philippe is probably looking for me."

She turned towards the door but paused to shoot the boy a smile over her shoulder. "Keep training, Hero. You never know when you'll be needed." With a quick wink, she jogged towards the door and disappeared.

Louis stared after her for a long moment. That was odd... and it didn't seem random. Does she suspect something?

"Yo, Hero!" Renee called. "How about not staring after your Princess and let's get back to work!"

Aramina elbowed her, scoring a laugh. "Renee! Leave him alone!"

He rolled his eyes. "She's not my Princess."

"Sure she isn't," Viveca snickered.

He let out a long deep breath as they lined up. How did I end up being the only boy in Musketeer training? This is definitely not what I had in mind.

Corinne slowly walked down the halls. They're improving but... will it be enough? Will they really be ready in time?

She shook her head. I don't really have much choice but to trust Helene and hope.

Her steps slowed as she walked out onto a balcony and stopped to peer out into the distance.

Am I foolish placing so much trust in three girls and a country boy? I don't even know them, how do I know they'll...

She let out a long deep breath. "You don't have a choice, Corinne. You can't do this on your own." Her hands gripped the railing. "If only I had more time."

"Time is exactly what you're out of, Princess."

Every muscle in her body went rigid at the voice that sounded right behind her ear.

Large hands latched onto her shoulders and, before she had a chance to react, flung her over the railing, sending her flailing towards the ground below.

(A/N: Gah! I'm so sorry! Again! I thought I was getting to a point where I could update regularly but I was wrong D':

And I'm also sorry that the chapter is so short. And the chapters to come may also be short so that maybe I can get more out more often ):

More suspense (and romance) coming soon!)
