Hello and welcome back to another chapter of OKAT!
I'm glad that all of you enjoyed the previous chapter as it was pretty fun to work on and thank you so much for surpassing 100 followers. I didn't think this story would get the same amount of love as My RWBY Academia. It makes me happy to see you all loving this Persona 5 and Black Clover crossover.
I'm also surprised that people are okay and even like the pairing of Asta x Makoto. I'll admit that the idea came from the 3rd Dragneel, Jinzo Lord, and DarkLordShadow1. Jinzo for suggesting the idea with Dragneel and DarkLord supporting the idea and even suggesting a few good moments. I was skeptical at first, but I eventually fell in love with the idea that I have to go for it.
I just want to say thank you to ShinyKyu for pointing out the inconsistencies in the previous chapter. I apologize for that, it's my first time writing something Persona related, so I may screw up on a few things down the lines. I hope that I'll get better at portraying them.
I am probably gonna get some weird looks for saying this, but I'm actually going to be pairing Morgana with Haru. Now before all of you attack me for that pairing idea, let me explain. Firstly, Morgana is now human and I intend to keep him human just to mix things up. Secondly and this is the main reason why I'm pairing them in the first place, their relationship in the story is interesting despite not being talked about a lot. When Morgana was having issues and struggling to express how he really feels, Haru was able to comfort him and allow him to be more honest while Morgana saw a lot of potential in Haru and even helped her out in return. I want to recreate that relationship while making it wholesome and awkward, but in a cute way. And thirdly, there are quite a few pairings in other mediums that are weird in some eyes, but they still work.
To recap what happened last time, Asta, Yuno, and the Phantom Thieves participated in the Magic Knights Entrance Exam and gave everything they got in order to join the squad. By the end of it, Yuno joins Akechi and the Golden Dawn, Ryuji and Ann join the Crimson Lion Kings, Makoto joins the Blue Rose Knights, Yusuke and Futaba join the Aqua Deers, Morgana join the Silver Eagles, Haru join the Coral Peacocks, and Asta, Ren, and Sumire join the Black Bulls.
How will each of them get adjusted in their new squads? To find out the answer, it's showtime and enjoy the opening!
Of Knights & Thieves Opening 1 (Haruka Mirai - Kankaku Piero)
Scene opens with various grimoires spiraling around each other in front of a blue translucent jail cell. As a dirty grimoire opens and flips through the pages, the jail cell opens.
Camera zooms into the door, revealing white outlines of Captain Kidd, Zorro, Carmen, Goemon, Johanna, Necronomicon, Milady, Loki, Cendrillon, and Arsene before they transform into 10 Grimoires.
Scene cuts to Ren Amamiya dressed as Joker as he reaches out for his grimoire. Upon grabbing his grimoire, he changes into his new civilian clothes and Black Bulls robe before walking alongside Asta as the logo for Of Knights & Thieves appears in front of the new Black Bull recruits.

Scene cuts to Asta and Yuno, wearing his Golden Dawn robe, standing back to back with determined frowns on their faces. Ren and Goro Akechi took their place and faced each other dressed as Joker and Crow before walking past each other, suddenly changing into their Black Bull robe and Golden Dawn uniform.

Makoto Niijima and Haru Okumura dressed as Queen and Noir before changing into their Blue Rose Knight and Coral Peacocks robes. Morgana, in cat form, and Sumire Yoshizawa dressed as Mona and Violet before changing into their Silver Eagle and Black Bull robes with Morgana transforming into a human.

Scene cuts to Asta, Ren, and Sumire running in the streets, dodging magic spells before retaliating back with their own spells: Asta taking out his greatsword, Ren creating lightning-flame daggers, and Sumire glowing with light and kicking a rogue mage.
Ryuji twirls his lightning staff before thrusting it forward while Ann jumps in the air and winks before blowing a fiery kiss down at the ground. Yusuke freezes a few mages in place before he and Morgana dashed past them, landing blows with their ice katana and wind claws.
Makoto pounded her fists together, covering them in iron gauntlets before punching the ground and sending the rogue mages flying in the air Haru and Futaba are hovering in the air before firing psionic and ecto magic energy.
Yuno stands on top of a mini tornado before firing a gust of wind shaped like an eagle while Akechi fires arrows made of light and dark magic energy from the sky.

Scene cuts to Asta and Ren sitting behind Magna Swing as they ride the Crazy Cyclone above a lake alongside Sumire and Noelle Silva, who is sitting behind the former. As they continue to fly on their brooms, Nero catches up to them before perching on Asta's head.
Pages flip a few times, revealing Yami Sukehiro as he glances back at the rest of the Black Bulls: Gauche Adlai, Luck Voltia, Vanessa Enoteca, Grey, Charmy Pappitson, Finral Roulacase, and Gordon Agrippa.

Noelle is standing in the rain while crying and collapsing down to her knees. She then glances back to see Sumire holding a hand out to her with Ann, Makoto, Futaba, and Mimosa Vermillion behind her with smiles on their faces.

Lavenza and Jose twirl around in front of Igor's desk. Igor takes out a card as the scene zooms into it, revealing the people in order: William Vangeance, Klaus Lunettes, Nozel Silva, Fuegoleon & Leopold Vermillion, Charlotte Roselei, Sol Marron, Rill Boismortier, Dorothy Unsworth, Kirsch Vermillion, Jack the Ripper, Gueldere Poizot, and Julius Novachono.

As Asta summons his grimoire and slowly pulls out his greatsword, the Phantom Thieves of Heart can be seen within his sword's reflection before showing one last reflection of Asta and Yuno exchanging bro fists.

Page 5 - Welcome to your Squad
Kikka, Clover Kingdom
As people are making their way home, Akechi and Yuno, who is now wearing the Golden Dawn robe that the former gave him, are making their way down the streets until they see a fountain ahead.
"There she is." Akechi smiles as he and Yuno can see a young girl that's the same age as Yuno with yellow eyes and long wavy vermilion hair with bangs on her forehead. Her outfit consists of a puffy cream-colored sweater with long sleeves, white puffy short pants, a brown corset, a pair of knee length tight boots, and a red mantle with white puffy linings.
"So she's the one?" Yuno asked.
"Yes. She is from one of the main noble houses of the Clover Kingdom." Akechi explained as he and Yuno approached the young noble girl. "Good evening. I hope we didn't keep you waiting. You're Mimosa Vermillion, correct?"
"Hm?" The young noble girl turns around and sees the Golden Dawn members before smiling and standing up. "Hello. And yes, my name's Mimosa."
"I've heard a lot about you from your cousins. I must say, I didn't expect you to choose the Golden Dawn, instead of the Crimson Lion Kings or the Coral Peacocks." Akechi admitted.
"I rather not rely on my family background to get into a squad." Mimosa explained with a sweatdrop. "I prefer working hard on my own merit."
"That's quite an admirable trait for a magic knight." Akechi complimented. "Oh right, where are my manners? My name's Goro Akechi. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too." Mimosa smiles before looking over at Yuno. "Are you also new to the Golden Dawn?"
"Yes. I'm Yuno." He answered with a simple nod.
"Oh yeah, you're the one with the four-leaf clover." Mimosa recalled. "You must be very lucky."
"I'm not the only one with a four leaf-clover." Yuno brought up while glancing at Akechi.
'Well, I guess having them get to know each other is gonna be rather tricky.' Akechi thought before clearing his throat. "Anyways, you two can get to know each other while we head back to the Golden Dawn Base."
"Right. Sorry, I got distracted." Mimosa apologized with an awkward laugh.
"Let's get going." Yuno said as he and Mimosa started following Akechi.
Golden Dawn Headquarters
In the hallway, Mimosa and Yuno are standing in front of Akechi and another Golden Dawn member, who is wearing the same uniform, but with a blue cape and has blue fur for his boots with short light blue hair and wearing glasses over his fuchsia eyes.
"So these are our new recruits this year?" The bespectacled man asked as he adjusted his glasses. "What are your names?"
"Yuno."
"I'm Mimosa."
"I see…" The bespectacled man said with a serious glare. "My name's Klaus Lunettes."
"Klaus will be supervising you two." Akechi informed with a smile.
"I know Mimosa is from the Vermillion Family, but Yuno?" Klaus asked with a scoff and glaring at him. "A commoner from a tiny village who isn't a royal or noble birth? What was Captain Vangeance thinking of letting you in?"
"But didn't you hear what he did?" Mimosa asked. "He has a four leaf clover like Goro."
"While it's true he has a four leaf clover and I don't deny the fact that all of the captains raised their hands." Klaus admitted with a sigh. "That still doesn't give him the excuse to get cocky. Since you two are members of the Golden Dawn, you have to prove your worth as true Magic Knights."
"I'm certain I'll prove myself soon enough." Yuno reassured.
"I'll do my best." Mimosa declared with a determined smile.
Klaus simply lets out a scoff as he starts walking away, confusing Mimosa while Yuno has a deadpan expression on his face.
"Don't worry about Klaus. He's always like this with new recruits, but he'll eventually warm up to you." Akechi reassured in a calm tone while the three caught up to Klaus. "But he is right about one thing. You'll have to prove your worth with more than just words."
"Goro, why did Captain Vangeance assign me for this?" Klaus whispered to the Midnight Prince. "Couldn't you and Letoile do it? You two would be much more suited for the job."
"Those are Captain Vangeance's orders. I know you're skeptical about all of this, but as Magic Knights, it's our duty to make sure we help those in need, especially our new recruits." Akechi whispered back. "Give them a chance. I'm sure they'll live up to our expectations and I'm positive that they're nice. At least, I hope that Yuno could socialize a bit more."
Crimson Lion Kings Headquarters
"WHOA!" Ryuji screamed in shock and awe as he and Ann are now wearing short crimson robes with a scarf and the Crimson Lion insignia on the back. "THIS PLACE IS FREAKING HUGE!"
"Ryuji, it's nighttime. Please keep it down." Ann hushed with an annoyed tone.
"Oh come on, even you have to admit this place looks cool." Ryuji said with a smile.
"True, it's nothing like we've ever seen before." Ann admitted as she and Ryuji are looking up at a giant and wide castle with two spiral stairs and a door in the center.
"There you are, newbies!" The two look over to see a young man who looks like Fuegoleon, but with short and spiky hair. "You two definitely impressed my older brother!"
"Older brother?" Ann asked.
"Hold on, you're the captain's younger brother?" Ryuji asked. "Now that I think about it, you look kinda like him."
"That's right. I'm Leopold Vermillion." He greeted them with boisterous pride.
"Sup. I'm Ryuji Sakamoto." He greeted back with a grin.
"I'm Ann Takamaki." She greeted with a smile. "Can I just say that I really love the makeup you and your brother have? It looks so cool and stylish."
"That's the first thing that came to mind?" Ryuji asked with a sweatdrop.
"Thanks Ann." Leopold said with a prideful and friendly laugh. "It shows our pride as members of the Vermillion family."
"There you are, Leo." Said person looks back to see Fuegoleon at the doorway alongside a man with brown hair and a scar on his forehead, wearing the Crimson Lion robe and a fancy purple vest, green long-sleeved jacket, black pants, shoes, and white socks. "So you must be our new recruits? A pleasure to meet you."
"It's good to meet you as well." Ann greeted back with a bow.
"Who's that?" Ryuji asked as he looked at the scarred face man.
"My name's Randall Luftair. I'm the Vice Captain of the Crimson Lion Kings." He greeted.
"Whoa, there are Vice-Captains?" Ryuji gasped in awe.
"You don't know anything about Vice-Captains?" Leopold asked while raising an eyebrow.
"We lived outside of the kingdom, so we don't know a whole lot." Ann answered with an awkward laugh.
"We understand." Randall said with a smile. "I can see why you chose them, Captain. I like those two already."
"Yes. I can tell from the looks in their eyes that they have the fiery spirit." Fuegoleon explained as he looked at Ryuji and Ann with a smile. "Ryuji, your Lightning Magic is quite impressive and it shows you have a tremendous amount of power. Ann, you appear to have a good handle of how to use your Fire Magic. It's quite rare to see a flame user use their elements in such an unorthodox manner."
"Heh, we've been practicing." Ryuji chuckled as he rubbed a finger underneath his nose.
"I'm still surprised we got into your squad." Ann admitted while twirling one of her pigtails.
"However…" Fuegoleon started with a serious frown and glare, making the two new recruits nervous. "Despite your impressive feats. I was also able to pick up flaws. Ryuji, despite having strong magic and a noble spirit, you're quite reckless. Your brash nature clouded your judgement and if you're not careful, then you could seriously hurt any civilians nearby during a fight. And Ann, while you did succeed in the exam, I saw a bit of hesitation within your eyes. It shows that you lack full confidence in yourself."
"I-I didn't go overboard with that attack. Did I?" Ryuji asked while Ann giggled awkwardly.
"Don't worry. Me, Randall, and my big brother will help you become better." Leopold reassured with a fiery spirit.
"That's right and as Captain of the Crimson Lion Kings, it's my duty to help guide my squad to the path of justice!" Fuegoleon declared with a serious and fiery presence. "Think you two can keep up? It won't be an easy journey."
"Yes sir!" Ryuji answered with a boisterous tone. "We'll give everything we got!"
"He's right." Ann agreed, placing a hand on her hip. "I won't hold back!"
"That's the spirit." Randall smiled as he, Fuegoleon, and Leopold started guiding Ryuji and Ann into their headquarters.
Silver Eagles Headquarter
Morgana, who is now wearing a black cape and a fur mantle with long frilled panels that hang down to the elbow and the Silver Eagle insignia on the left side, is looking up at the Silver Eagle headquarters with a nervous gulp.
'Since I'm in one of the noble squads, I better make a good first impression. But I gotta be cautious.' He thought as he saw the door opening, revealing Nozel standing in between two people. The first being a male slightly younger than him, but with blue eyes, shorter hair, and a dutch braid hairstyle while wearing an indigo cape. The second is a female who looks younger than Nozel, but older than the first male with pink eyes and long wavy silver hair and wearing a white and pink dress underneath a lavender cape.
"So you must be Morgana." Nozel said with a cold exterior while the former cat enters the room.
"Y-Yes. I'm Morgana." He greeted with a professional bow. "I just want to say thank you for accepting me into your squad. It's an honor."
"That's the new recruit?" The young male asked with a mocking smile. "He looks like nothing but a waste of space."
"He may dress like a noble, but I doubt he would stand out." The female agreed with a sinister grin.
"W-What?" Morgana gasped in shock. He wanted to get angry, but he's struggling to keep it inside to avoid making a bad first impression.
"Oooh, looks like we've struck a nerve." The young male chuckled.
"Solid, Nebra. Don't waste anymore words on him." Nozel scolded before closing his eyes. "It's not worth it."
"I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but are you three related?" Morgana asked. "I noticed your attire and appearances look very similar."
"You dare fail to recognize the might of the Silva Family?" Solid asked in an offended tone. "Do you have a death wish!?"
"I wouldn't blame him since he does look like a commoner." Nebra said with a giggle. "Nozel, why did you even bother recruiting someone like him?"
"That's what I'd like to know too." Morgana said as even he's curious about Nozel's reason.
"For once, we're on the same page." Solid said with a scoff.
"Yes, the number of new recruits for the Magic Knight Squads has definitely increased this year." Nozel sighed with a composed expression. "Morgana, myself and Jack raised our hands for the same reason: Your combat abilities. We saw the way you fought the commoner with the four-leaf grimoire. You were able to keep up with him and have a strong grasp of your wind magic, both offensively and tactically. And on top of that, you even have superhuman reflexes. If anything, you have potential of being Vice Captain of the Silver Eagles."
"You think so?" Morgana asked in shock, but does smile a bit from the compliments.
"However, you're still a rookie." Nozel said, holding a hand up and giving him a cold glare. "Just because you were able to fight on par with someone who has a four-leaf clover, that doesn't mean you get to think highly of yourself. You're now a member of my squad, so you'd better prove your worth because I won't allow anyone to soil the reputation of the Silva Family and the Silver Eagles. Do I make myself clear?"
Morgana felt his entire body stiffening from Nozel's cold and harsh words, but took a deep breath to regain his composure before taking off his hat and placing it over his chest.
"Yes sir." He answered with a professional tone. "I'll work hard and prove my worth in the Silver Eagles."
"I expect you to. Otherwise, you'll end up wasting everyone's time." Nozel said before turning away. "Come, we'll show you your new quarters."
Morgana nods before he starts to follow the Silva siblings and notices some of the murals and pictures on their walls, but still has a conflicted expression on his face.
'This is going to be tougher than I thought…' He thought before regaining his composure. 'But I won't let these negative words weigh me down.'
Aqua Deer Headquarters
"Wow, so you two are the new recruits in my squad." Rill said with delight as he sat in front of Yusuke and Futaba, who are now wearing aqua blue fuzzy robes with a gold brooch in the center and the Aqua Deer insignia on the left. "It's nice to meet you."
"Uhh y-yeah. L-Likewise." Futaba stuttered awkwardly. "M-My name's Futaba Sakura."
"Is something wrong? Did you eat something funny earlier?" Rill asked in concern.
"My apologies. Futaba's not the best when it comes to social interactions." Yusuke explained.
"You don't have to tell him, Inari!" Futaba pouted in anger.
"It's okay." Rill reassured with a smile. "If it makes you feel any better, I used to be shy and awkward too when I was young."
"Really?" Futaba asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, but don't worry. As your captain, I'm here for you if you need help." Rill said with an encouraging smile. "The same goes for you too, Inari."
"Thanks, though my name's not Inari." Yusuke clarified. "I'm Yusuke Kitagawa. Inari's simply a nickname Futaba gave me and some of our friends tend to call me that now and then."
"Ohh, I'm sorry! I didn't know!" Rill apologized frantically.
'Wow, he really is the youngest captain.' Futaba thought with a deadpan expression before noticing the paintings hang on the walls. "Did you paint those?"
"Hm?" Rill looks over at Futaba staring at the paintings. "Yeah, I do. You like them?"
Rill and Futaba look over to Yusuke, who is left speechless as his eyes become watery.
"Uhh, Yusuke?" Futaba called out in concern.
"My goodness…" Yusuke started with a shaking breath before letting out a laughter of joy. "The passion! The visuals! The colors! The aesthetics! The amount of time spent on each of these paintings! They are truly marvelous!" He then turns to Rill and holds his shoulders like he's a little kid. "You are a blessing in the world of art!"
"You like them?" Rill asked awkwardly.
"It may not look much, but Inari's actually an artist like you are." Futaba pointed out while examining one of the paintings. "But I have to admit. These paintings are pretty cool."
"Captain Rill, if it's not too much to ask…" Yusuke started before placing a hand over the squad insignia. "Would you mind taking me under your wing in the teachings of art? I would love to learn more from an expert painter like yourself."
"Aww stop, you're making me blush." Rill laughs awkwardly before smiling. "Sure, I can teach you and I would love to see what you're capable of. And you too, Futaba."
"I'm not much of a painter." Futaba admitted. "But I promise I won't slow you and the Aqua Deer down."
"That's what I like to hear. Come on, I'll show you two your new rooms." Rill said with a smile.
Kikka Town
While Makoto is walking in the streets while waiting to be picked up by one of the Blue Rose Knight members, she noticed that a few eyes have been locked onto her ever since the selection exam ended.
"Hey, it's the girl from the exam." A civilian whispered.
"Yeah, I heard she beat Salim with ease."
"She beat a noble? She must be very strong."
"Wow, she's really beautiful. It's like she's a queen."
"I think she's more like a goddess."
"I've told my friends to not draw unwanted attention and yet I'm getting a lot of attention?" Makoto said to herself with a sigh and a small blush.
"There you are!" The former student council president looks up to see a tall young woman with brown skin, green eyes, and short black hair. Aside from her blue robe with a gold rose brooch and the Blue Rose squad insignia on the back, her outfit is surprisingly revealing: sporting a white tube top that shows off her cleavage and midriff, arm warmers, shorts, detached pants legs with slits that reveals her inner thighs, shoes, and a black grimoire pouch.
"Oh! Hello." Makoto greeted with a bow. "I'm Makoto Niijima. Are you with the Blue Rose Knights?"
"That's right. I'm Sol Marron." She introduced with a smirk. "Char sent me to pick you up."
"Char?" Makoto raised an eyebrow in confusion before pounding her fist together upon realizing something. "Wait, you mean Charlotte, the Blue Rose Captain?"
"That's right. I know Char personally." Sol answered with pride before looking at Makoto. "Oh, so you're the one everyone's talking about. You've gotten pretty popular despite being a rookie."
"All I did was knock out my opponent." Makoto said sheepishly as she started to follow Sol. "Yes, he's a noble and he was a jerk, but I don't think it's something I would be proud of."
"That's exactly why people are praising you." Sol said with a smile before taking a spare blue robe with the squad insignia on the back and a gold brooch that resembles a daisy flower. "Here, put this on."
"Thank you." Makoto said as she took the robe and put it on.
"See? It looks great on you." Sol giggled with a smile as the two continued to walk.
Blue Rose Knight Headquarters
Upon entering the headquarters, Sol and Makoto enter a giant courtyard with beautiful blue roses as they see Charlotte and a few Blue Rose Knight members in the center.
"Hey Char! I'm back and I've brought the newbie with me!" Sol calls out with a wave.
"Well done, Sol. and And I keep telling you…" Charlotte started with a serious glare. "Call me 'Captain'."
"Uhh…" Makoto awkwardly walks forward with her hands together in front of her. "Hi. I'm Makoto Niijima. I'm from a common village and it's an honor to join the Blue Rose Knights."
The entire area was initially deathly silent, before all of the girls squealed in excitement, except for Makoto, Sol, and Charlotte. Makoto looked confused until all of the squad members immediately ran towards her with excitement.
"Oh my gosh, you're the one Sol and Captain were talking about!" A light brown haired girl shouted.
"I had no idea you were so strong!" A slender woman admitted with long back hair tied up in a bun.
"Congrats on beating that arrogant noble!" A blonde-haired girl praised.
"W-Whoa! Wait a minute!" Makoto spoke up as she's both getting flustered and overwhelmed by the barrage of compliments.
"Wow, you're so cute and beautiful!" A light pink-haired girl gushed.
"And you have a nice figure! Toned and curvy, you're like a supermodel!" A brown-haired girl complimented.
"W-What!?" Makoto's face turns bright red and looks at herself. While she can understand the toned part, especially in her arms, thighs, and waist, she still couldn't even process the curves she got for her chest, legs, hips, and butt. "P-Please stop! I know you're all trying to flatter me, but it doesn't make it less embarrassing." She whines as she crosses her arms in embarrassment.
"There's no need to be embarrassed, Mako." Sol reassured while wrapping an arm around her neck. "It doesn't hurt to take pride in your beauty. As long as it's not in front of creepy perverts."
"You don't have to be shy around us." Makoto looks up to see a plump woman with yellow hair tied in bums and wearing makeup. "Everyone in the Blue Rose Knights treat and support each other equally."
"Let's save the idle chit chat for later." The girls stop as they see Charlotte approaching them, causing them to move back, except for Makoto and Sol, as the captain looks at Makoto. "But Puli does make an excellent point. Makoto, you're now one of us and we all agree that you would be a perfect member of the Blue Rose Knights. But that doesn't give you the excuse to slack off. I want you to incorporate your performances from the exam into your duties as a magic knight."
Makoto's eyes lit up in awe from Charlotte's speech and words of encouragement before looking at Sol, who still has her arm wrapped around her.
"So what do you say, Mako?" Sol asked. "You in?"
Makoto then looks at the other females before staring at Charlotte with determined expression and says- "Yes ma'am. I won't let you or anyone else down."
"That's what I like to hear!" Sol cheered with the other girls while Charlotte simply gave Makoto a smile.
"Come, we'll give you a tour and a rundown of what we do." Charlotte said as everyone starts entering the building one by one.
Makoto stares at everyone in awe before letting out a soft and quiet giggle with joy. 'This is one experience that I'm looking forward to.' She thought before catching up to her new squad.
Coral Peacock Headquarters
"Thank you very much." Haru bows at one of the Coral Peacock members after she was given a tan cape with white fluffy linings and a pink vest designed like peacock feathers with a light pink brooch in the center, fuzzy collar, and the squad insignia on the center.
After entering the building, Haru immediately slips her new cape and squad robe on before looking at the glass window within her reflection. She was absolutely stunned at how nice and stylish the cape and robe looks along with her new attire.
"Enjoying your new uniform?" Haru is startled as she turns around to see Dorothy, who is still sleeping while standing next to a young man with long side-parted hair that's tied back and has a braid going across his hairline and a thin band around his head. He has two dark hanging earrings while wearing the same squad robe and pink cape over an outfit that resembles Mimosa's, but with long pants and opened toe sandals.
"Yes, they're quite lovely." Haru said before looking over at the sleeping Dorothy and at the male. "My name's Haru Okumura."
"Welcome to the Coral Peacocks, Haru." The male said while holding one hand over his forehead and holding the other hand out in a dramatic manner. "My name's Kirsch Vermillion. I'm the Vice Captain of the Coral Peacocks."
"Vice Captain?" Haru raises an eyebrow while feeling a little uncomfortable from watching Kirsch's stance. "I didn't know Magic Knight Squads have Vice Captains. Does every squad have one?"
"Only a few." Kirsch answered with a smile. "The Wizard King and the Squad Captains can decide who is worthy enough to take command when their captain is absent. As for my case, Captain Unsworth approved of my beautiful abilities and leadership."
"Wow, that's wonderful." Haru admitted before looking at Dorothy. "Is she always asleep?"
"Most of the time, yes." Kirsch nodded while looking at his captain. "But she is well aware of her surroundings thanks to her magic. In fact, I think you should witness it first hand."
"Really? Is it that special?" Haru asked.
Dorothy simply lets out simple snores before her entire body glows with magic and emits a multi-hued mist.
"Whoa! What's happening!?" Haru yelped as the mist expanded before engulfing her and Kirsch. Once the mist fades away, Haru opens her eyes and sees an area filled with pink while various objects are floating around. She looks down and sees she's standing on top of a giant cloud. "W-Where are we now?"
"This is Captain Unsworth's magic: Dream Magic." Kirsch stated.
"Dream Magic?" Haru gasps as she looks at her surroundings in awe. "Wow, it's incredible."
"I'm glad you like my Glamour World." Haru hears a chipper voice as she turns around to see Dorothy, who is floating in the air and is wide awake with beautiful purple eyes that have a small hint of multicolor-hues in the center.
"You're awake!" Haru yelped in shock while Dorothy giggled at Haru's reaction.
"Yes, I have to be awake when I'm using my magic." Dorothy explained as she landed in front of Haru and Kirsch. "If anyone falls asleep in my Glamour World, then they'll be stuck in an eternal slumber."
"T-That's pretty frightening." Haru admitted as she saw a teapot and teacups appearing in front of her and Kirsch.
"Have some tea." Dorothy said as the teapot poured tea into the two cups.
"Thank you, Captain." Kirsch said as he and Haru grabbed their tea cups and blew into the cup before taking a sip.
"My, this tea is lovely." Haru gasped as her eyes sparkled with joy.
"It's one of my favorites." Dorothy smiles as she summons a chair before sitting down. "Now that we're all here, let's discuss the rules."
"Rules?" Haru raised an eyebrow before realizing what Dorothy meant. "Oh, the rules for me to follow since I'm new here."
"That's right. Since you're a member of the Coral Peacocks, you'll have to do various jobs and even do a few patrols within the kingdom." Kirsch said while drinking tea.
"And since I'm mostly asleep in the real world, you will have to follow Kirsch's orders." Dorothy explained. "I've seen your performances in the selection exam and you definitely got a grasp of how your magic works."
"Thanks, but I feel like I got more to learn to be honest." Haru admitted.
"Don't fret, Haru." Kirsch reassured with a chuckle. "Under my and Captain Unsworth's guidance, we'll make you a capable and beautiful Magic Knight."
"B-Beautiful?" Haru asked as her cheeks turned around. She felt something nudging against her feet before looking down to see a rabbit with cream fluffy fur and wearing a mini version of Haru's hat. "Hello. Wow, you're so cute~" She giggles as she picks up the rabbit and pets it, causing it to smile and cuddle against her. "It even has the same hat as me."
"That rabbit is how you see yourself if you were an animal." Dorothy explains with a smile.
"Wait, really?" Haru looks at the rabbit, which it gave her a nod and smile.
"This is also how my dream magic works. It turns dreams and inner thoughts into a reality in my Glamour World." Dorothy said.
"Wow, it's incredible." Haru smiles.
"But Haru..." Kirsch started with a slightly serious look on his face. "I do mean what I said. If you want to improve ad be a wonderful Magic Knight, then you must work hard."
"He's right and as your superiors, we'll help you along the way. So, what do you say? Are you ready?" Dorothy asked as Haru is looking down to think for a moment.
"Kirsch, Captain Unsworth." Haru spoke up as she gave them a determined smile. "I won't disappoint you two."
"That's the spirit, Haru." Dorothy giggles with delight.
Black Bulls Headquarters
Asta lets out a muffled grunt as he gets up thanks to Ren and Sumire, revealing that he has dirt in his mouth.
"Are you okay, Asta?" Sumire asked in concern as Asta shook his head to get rid of the dirt.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Asta answered.
"What was that?" Sumire asked as she looked at the fire in front of the Black Bulls' hideout.
Ren looks over at the flames and summons his grimoire. He held his hands out and fired a burst of wind and ice magic at the fire, putting it out.
"I don't know, but let's be careful going inside." He said as he, Asta, and Sumire entered the building, only to see…
"Okay, now I'm REAL mad!" A mohawked man shouted with shades over his eyes. His attire consists of the Black Bulls robe over a white shirt covered by a navy leather jacket and navy trousers, black fingerless gloves, a pair of blue shades, a pair of black boots, a chain hanging from the left side of his waist connected to his trousers and a belt that he uses to support his pouch containing his grimoire with a skull and crossbones symbol. "You ready to take me on!?"
"I'd like to see you try and hit me!" A young blonde-haired man taunted as he looks like he's a kid. His attire consists of an aqua-blue tunic with long sleeves that look a little too big for him, teal pants with light-colored strips with stitch-like cross patterns at the sides. A grimoire pouch is hidden underneath his Black Bulls robe, and a pair of light brown boots that go up to his ankles.
"DIE!" The mohawked punk summoned a red grimoire with a black skull ornament in front of him before creating a fiery baseball bat and launching a barrage of fireballs at the young man, only for him to dodge by engulfing his arms and legs in gauntlets and greaves made of electricity with a light blue grimoire decorated in plants and lightning bolts.
One of the fireballs landed near a couch, causing a voluptuous female to groan as she got up, wearing only a pair of red, thin-strapped lingerie with frilly designs underneath her Black Bulls robe.
"Why's it so loud in here?" The beautiful woman groaned. "I should've skipped those extra drinks. My head's killing me."
During the ruckus, a petite girl with shoulder-length black hair and closed eyes is eating various sweets on the table, wearing her Black Bulls robe over a white oversized tunic, sky blue grimoire pouch, brown pants, and light brown slippers.
"Oh, my precious little Marie…" A tall young man gushed with a single nosebleed in front of a glowing mirror. His appearance consists of shaggy light brown hair covering his forehead and left eye, leaving only his right brown eye exposed. His attire consists of the Black Bulls robe with two jewels over a long-sleeved, blue and purple shirt under a brown, short-sleeved shirt, light brown trousers tucked into brown trench boots, and a grimoire pouch wrapped around his waist.
His daze was interrupted by the mohawked man and young man's fighting, infuriating the nose bleeding male before he shouts- "Enough! Would you two shut up already!?"
In one of the corners, an extremely large, heavy-set man with slicked-back black hair, sphere earrings with links that connect to other small spheres that hang, and glowing eyes huffs out smoke while sitting down.
As Yami, Finral, and Gordon enter through the crater in the wall, they can see the rest of the squad causing chaos all over the main room while Asta, Ren, and Sumire are left speechless at the sight.
"Looks like they're at it again." Finral sighed.
"Wait again?" Ren gasped as he glances at Finral. "Does this always happen?"
"Yeah, this is pretty normal for the Black Bulls." Finral answered with a sweatdrop.
'I thought Akechi's ruthless side was crazy, but this is on a totally different level.' Sumire thought, feeling a little scared from the Black Bulls' shenanigans.
'These guys are scary.' Asta thought with a nervous tone. 'But, I'm one of them now. I'd better act like them.'
Asta took a deep breath and put his right foot forward before shouting- "My name's Asta from Hage Village! I'm one of the new Black Bulls and someday, I'm gonna become the Wizard King!"
Despite how loud Asta announced himself, the rest of the Black Bulls didn't hear him due to the ruckus continuing as it grew more chaotic and louder.
"That flan you were saving earlier was super tasty!" The young electricity guy mocked as he continued to dodge the punk's attack.
"Good because that's the last thing you'll ever eat!" The punk threatened as he swung his bat faster, launching more fireballs.
"Come on! Give it a rest, you idiots!" The mirror guy shouted in annoyance. "You two are going to wake up my precious little sister with all of the noise you're making, dammit!"
"Get over it, you freaky sister-lover!" The drunk woman shouted before letting out a heavy sigh. "Let's see, I remember getting into a drinking contest with some guy, but… Man, I can't remember what happened after that."
During the ruckus, an anthromorphical sheep with a chef's hat comes in and places a tray of more pastries next to the hungry girl.
"Perfect! Thank you!" The hungry girl praises as she continues eating.
"Are they even aware that we're here?" Ren asked with a deadpan expression.
"This is for stealing my flan, you jerk!" The punk swings his bat and launches a big fireball at the electricity guy, only for it to miss and fly towards Ren, Asta, and Sumire.
"Look out!" Sumire shrieked as the trio immediately duck, allowing the fireball to fly past them and crash into a nearby tree, setting it on fire.
"Will you please shut up?" The drunk lady groaned in annoyance. "I've got the mother of all headaches."
"That's your own fault, ya drunk." The punk pointed out.
"What did you say?" The drunk lady asked with an irritated tone.
"You heard me!" The punk shouted as a slightly empty beer bottle hit Asta in the face.
"At least I'm not a virgin street punk!" The drunk lady shouted.
"Virgin street punk!? Where did you get off calling me that!?" The punk blushed in anger and offense.
"Better be careful." The punk looks up and sees the electricity guy sticking his feet against the railing above him. "Get distracted and I'll get you."
"Oh I'm just getting started!" The punk screamed.
"I told you to shut up!" The mirror guy stomped his foot on a table as he summoned a lavender grimoire with mirror shard patterns for the border and spine. "In the name of my angelic sister Marie, I will destroy you both!"
"This is getting out of hand." Sumire whimpered before noticing Yami clenching a fist as it glows with dark magic energy, frightening the redhead even more. "C-Captain Yami?"
"All right. I've had enough…" Yami growled before slamming a fist against the wall behind him before shouting- "QUIT BREAKING STUFF ALREADY!"
*BOOM, SHATTER*
Yami's fist immediately causes the majority of the front wall of the building to collapse, scaring Ren, Asta, and Sumire.
"Oh man, now it's way broken!" Asta screamed.
"Did he have to bring down an entire wall just to get them to stop!?" Ren exclaimed.
"I'm glad this place is in the middle of a forest." Sumire gulped, though she is relieved that they're not in the middle of a big city or else there'll be even more problems.
Once the dust clears up, the Black Bull members look over at the front entrance until…
"CAPTAIN!" The six magic knights jumped over to their captain with joy while chattering nonstop.
"How was it? Did ya find us an arrogant newbie?" The punk asked. "I could take 'em down a notch or two."
"Can I fight you today sir?" The electricity teen pleaded.
"Forget about these little brats." The drunk lady giggled seductively. "Why don't we go out and have a drink~?"
"Hey, hey! Try this! It's really good!" The young girl holds out a cupcake to Yami.
"I'm sorry. I can't take it anymore. May I please go see my little sister?" The mirror guy requested while the giant man simply lets out a huff of smoke.
"Glad to know how much you missed me." Yami laughed wholeheartedly before making an intimidating glare. "Now shut up, will ya?"
"Sorry sir!" The six magic knights immediately sit down on the floor out of fear.
"Now, I like you all to meet three of our four newbies." Yami said while gesturing a hand over to Asta, Ren, and Sumire.
"Wait, four new recruits?" Ren asked as he looked at Yami.
"Did one drop by earlier?" Sumire asked as she glance around the area to make sure they didn't miss someone.
"Don't worry about it. Just focus on introducing yourselves." Yami said, shrugging off their questions.
"My name's Asta! I'm from Hage Village!"
"I'm Ren Amamiya."
"My name's Sumire Yoshizawa. Ren and I are from outside the Kingdom. It's an honor to meet you all."
"Wait, you three are from outside the kingdom?" The punk asked. "So that makes you all commoners."
"Finral, can you introduce everyone?" Yami requested.
"Sure thing, sir." Finral obliged before glancing over to Gordon. "I'm sure you all know Gordon Agrippa."
"Nice to meet you." Gordon mumbled quietly.
"Not always the easiest guy to talk to, but he's good." Finral explained before looking at the drunk lady. "Next, we have Vanessa Enotecca. She drinks a lot and tends to go crazy when she's drunk, but she's still good."
"I don't know what you're talking about when you say I go crazy." Vanessa denies before smiling at the three new recruits. "You three are from the outskirts of the Kingdom?"
"Yeah we are." Ren answered, only to freeze up once he hears Vanessa's seductive giggle as she gets up and leans closer to him and Asta. "W-What are you doing?"
"I'm amazed you two boys are able to make it from a common village to a magic knight squad." Vanessa praised with a flirty tone, causing Asta to get a nosebleed and Ren's glasses to fog up from blushing. "Perhaps I can give the both of a special reward~"
'Damn it! I'm supposed to be the Trickster! Joker of the Phantom Thieves!' Ren panicked internally. 'Why am I being beaten by a girl I just met!?'
'Man, that's hard to turn down!" Asta panicked internally with a nosebleed. 'But I can't accept it! My heart belongs to Sister Lily!'
"Umm, I think you're making them uncomfortable." Sumire spoke up nervously until Vanessa glanced at her.
"Don't worry, I didn't forget about you." Vanessa smirked before she started feeling nausea. She covers her mouth before she ends up vomiting out what appears to be sparkles.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay!?" Sumire panicked.
"She'll be fine." Finral reassured before turning to the electricity boy." This is Luck Voltia: a battle freak who's addicted to fighting, but he's still good."
"Nice to meet you." Luck greeted before getting in a fighting stance. "Do you three like to fight?"
"Uhh, sure?" Asta answered with awkwardness.
"That's great! Wanna go right now?" Luck requested while punching Asta's opened hands.
"We just got here, Luck." Sumire said awkwardly.
"Hey." The redhead turns around to see the mirror guy holding up a picture of a cute young girl with blonde hair, purple eyes, and dress. "Do you see her? This is my sister, Marie."
"You have a sister?" Sumire asked with a smile. "Wow, she's so cute."
"Are you okay? Need a tissue?" Ren asked as he noticed the mirror guy has a nosebleed.
"If any of you lay a finger on her, you'll die." The mirror guy threatened with a scary glare.
"Wait what!?" Sumire jumped a bit from the threat.
"We didn't say anything about touching your little sister." Ren pointed out in confusion.
"Don't worry about Gauche Adlai." Finral said. "Sure, he loves his sister a tad too much, but he's still good." He then turns over to the young girl eating a cupcake while her green eyes are open. "This here is Charmy Pappitson. She's a big eater, but she's really nice."
"Nice to meet ya!" Charmy said with a cupcake in her mouth as she held a fist up in the air.
"I bet you and Charmy can get along when it comes to eating." Ren whispered to Sumire with a smirk.
"Ren, I don't eat that much." Sumire denies before looking nervous. "Do I?"
"Over there is Grey." Finral gestured his hand over to the giant guy. "I don't really get him, but he's still good."
"Uhh hi." Asta greeted awkwardly before he, Ren, and Sumire saw the punk giving them a nasty glare.
"That's Magna Swing. He's a street punk, but he's nice." Finral explained.
'Whoa, he's scary.' Asta thought with a petrified look on his face.
'Wait…' Ren looks at Magna before realizing something. 'He's starting to remind me of Ryuji when we first met.'
"And I am the lady killer, Finral Roulacase." He introduced himself with a wink before gesturing a hand over to Yami. "And finally, we have the Black Bulls' fearless leader: The great Yami Sukehiro."
"There are other members of the Black Bulls, but they're either out on missions or on leave." Yami explained.
"So there are other members." Ren said. "Do you know why some of them are on leave?"
"I don't know." Yami answered as he took a puff from his cigarette. "Anyways, think you three newbies can play nice?"
"We'll do our best as members of the Black Bulls." Sumire said with a determined smile.
"Good, then let's start the initiation." Yami said. "Magna, Gauche, Luck. You three are in charge of this year's initiation."
"Initiation?" Asta asked as Magna stood up abruptly.
"You heard him." Magna said with an intimidating glare. "Yami wants us to make sure you three newbies get a good workout."
"Ohh, that's what you mean by initiation." Sumire said in realization. "To see what each of us can do and see if we're worthy of being in the Black Bulls. Right?"
"Wow, you're a fast learner." Luck said with a delighted laugh.
"Just because you three are new to the Black Bulls, that doesn't mean we get to hold back." Gauche explained.
"Especially since all three of you are from out of the middle of nowhere." Magna added. "I don't know what a bunch of commoners could have possibly done to impress Yami." Magna then grabs his robe and holds it out slightly to show off the Black Bulls insignia. "Do you want to wear the robe that'll prove you're a true member of the Black Bulls?"
Asta gasps upon seeing the Black Bulls robe. He looks at Ren and Sumire, who gave him determined nods before looking at the three squad members and shouts- "Yes! We're ready!"
Outside
After Finral used his spatial magic to teleport everyone outside, Sumire took off her glasses and put her hair up in a ponytail while doing some stretches while Ren adjusted his gloves and Asta hops up and down to get ready.
"Alright newbies, this is what you have to do: Use any skill at your disposal, whenever it's magic or ordinary…" Magna, Gauche, and Luck summon their grimoire and flip through a few pages before Magna creates a fireball, Gauche summons a mirror, and Luck creates lightning claw gauntlets and greaves. "You must dodge or defend yourselves against our magic attacks."
"If you can beat us, then all of you will pass." Luck smiles in a rather disturbing manner.
"That is, IF you can beat us." Gauche said with a serious glare.
'Better get ready to rescue the newbies if they're in trouble.' Finral thought as he took out his grimoire. 'Just like the previous times.'
"Sumire, Asta, let's bring out our grimoires and get ready." Ren said as he summons his grimoire and flips through a few pages.
"Right!" Asta and Sumire summon their grimoires before the former pulls out his greatsword and the latter takes out a glowing ribbon wand.
'From what I've seen earlier, Luck seems to be the fastest out of the three after seeing him dodge Magna's fireballs.' Ren thought with a squint. 'And judging by that mirror, I'd say Gauche focuses more on long range attacks.'
"You ready?" Magna asked as he summoned a fiery baseball bat.
"Ready!" Asta answered, though he did sweat a bit from being nervous.
"Here we go!" Magna screams as he swings his bat numerous times, launching a barrage of fireballs at the three. Sumire flips up in the air while Asta and Ren dodge the fireballs in serpentine formation.
"Wow, you guys are fast." Luck admitted as he's now up in Ren's face, surprising the bespectacled man.
'Crap, he's faster than I thought.' Ren gasped as he jumped back to avoid a claw swipe from the electric fighter.
"Dancing Magic: Ribbon Ray of Light!" Sumire swings her ribbon wand as it glows with light and extends down at three Black Bull members.
"Mirror Magic: Real Double." Gauche suddenly created a mirror clone in front of him as it held up a mirror to take the attack. "If you think light will be effective against my mirrors, then you got a death wish."
'That's right. Mirrors reflect light.' Sumire thought upon realizing the fact and saw the light ribbon aiming towards Asta and Ren, causing the two to dodge as Sumire flicks her wrist up, causing the ribbon to go upwards and wraps around a tree branch, allowing her to dangle in midair.
"Alright. The real battle…" Magna grins as he makes his baseball bat disappear and flips through a few pages in his grimoire. "BEGINS NOW!"
Manga winds his right arm back as he creates a giant fireball. The sheer amount of magic energy begins to radiate around the area.
"Ooh, don't leave me behind!" Luck laughs as he starts to create an orb of lightning from the tips of his claws.
"Whoa, what power." Ren, Asta, and Sumire gasp upon seeing Luck and Magna radiating tremendous amounts of magic energy.
"I'll take care of the dancer." Gauche said as he and his mirror clone flip through a few pages before stopping, causing their mirrors to glow.
'Wait… If I can get past the mirrors…' Sumire thought to herself before looking down. "Ren, can you give me a hand?"
"Let's dance." Ren smirks as he flips through a few pages as one hand glows pink and the other glows green. He then jumps up and grabs Sumire's hand as they swing around the trees.
"Hey, what are you two doing!?" Asta shouted.
"Flame Magic: Exploding Fireball!" Magna enlarges the fireball before launching it forward.
"Lightning magic: Thunderclap Crumbling Orb!" Luck launches the electric orb up at Ren and Sumire.
"Mirror Magic: Reflect Ray." The two Gauches fired two ray beams from their mirrors as the two attacks flew forward.
"Sumire, now!" Ren shouted as the redhead swung her free arm and launched Ren towards the lightning orbs and ray beams.
"He's going to take the hit!?" Gauche and Luck gasped in unison, though the latter still has a happy expression on his face.
"Fusion Magic: Banshee's Psionic Screech!" Ren took a deep breath before opening his mouth, unleashing green and pink shockwaves that stopped Luck and Gauche's attacks before sending the attacks right back at Luck and Gauche.
Meanwhile, Asta is left in complete shock at how fast the fireball is flying towards him. But that didn't stop him as he turned his blade and swung it at the fireball, which not only blocked the attack, but also sent it back at Magna.
"WHAT THE!?" Magna's eyes bugged out as he, Luck, and Gauche took direct hits from their own attacks.
"Wow, I didn't see that coming." Vanessa admitted with an impressed tone.
"That's the first time in a while that we didn't have to step in to save the newbie." Finral said as he closed his grimoire.
'I get it. Asta couldn't slice Magna's fireball with the blade's edge, so he hit it with the flat.' Yami thought as he saw Ren and Sumire landing. 'As for those two, they know they are at a disadvantage, so they combine their magic together to outsmart Luck and Gauche. Those three… They definitely can pull off some surprises.'
"That turned out great, Sumire. Good job." Ren praised with a smile.
"It was nothing." Sumire laughed off the compliment before looking at Asta. "But I'm more impressed with what you did, Asta. I didn't know your sword could reflect magic as well. That's incredible."
"You think so?" Asta laughs awkwardly before looking over at the flames with a terrified expression on his face. "Oh crap, we didn't kill them, did we!?"
"Uh oh. Did… Did we go overboard?" Sumire gulped in fear and concern until the three saw Luck, Gauche, and Magna's silhouette among the flames.
"What the hell did you three do?" Magna growled as he, Gauche, and Luck slowly exited out of the flames.
"Wow, did they really take a hit and they're still standing?" Ren gasps as while he's relieved they're still alive, he's more amazed about how they survived the explosion
"We were able to dispel them just in time, so we're alright." Gauche said, brushing off the tiny flames on his robe.
"Wow, that was awesome!" Luck laughed with joy before seeing Magna letting out an angry scream. "Uh oh, Magna's angry."
"Why you…" Magna starts charging at the three with a deadly glare and stops in front of them, clenching his fist like he's getting ready to slug them in the face.
"Uhh Magna?" Ren gulped nervously while Asta and Sumire had petrified looks on their faces until…
"Hehe… Hahaha!" Magna's angry expression turned into a happy one as he's laughing. He went behind them and started patting their backs rapidly, much to their displeasure. "Wow, y'all are pretty good! I thought you would dodge or block our attacks, but you ended up sending them back at us? I think I'm starting to like you three!"
"Uh. Thank. You. Magna?" Ren said with each pause due to Magna slapping his, Asta, and Sumire's back hard and fast.
"Wait, you three are from the middle of nowhere right?" Magna asked.
"Yeah we are, why?" Sumire asked back.
"I'm actually from the sticks myself. Rayaka Village." Magna confessed. "It's right up from Hage Village."
"No way! Really?" Asta asked in disbelief. "Rayaka is way out of the middle of nowhere."
"Hey Ren! Did you say Fusion Magic earlier?" Said person looks over to see Luck approaching them. "How are you able to do that by yourself when it requires two people?"
"Well… I honestly don't know." Ren admitted. "All I know is that it lets me use elements that come from people I've formed a bond with."
"Wow, that's even more amazing." Magna said with a smiling grin.
"And the way you were dancing and using your ribbon is incredible. You must be very flexible." Luck praised Sumire.
"Thanks, though I feel like I need more practice." Sumire giggles with a small blush.
"And how are you able to send Magna's fireball back with your sword?" Luck asked Asta. "Didn't you say that you have low magic power?"
"Oh that." Asta laughs awkwardly while rubbing the back of his head. "It's not that I have low magic power. I actually have no magic power at all."
"What was that!?" Magna asked in an angry tone, startling Asta. "You've got no magic power and you're still able to turn my magic against me?"
"Y-Yeah, I guess so." Asta answered nervously.
"Wow, you three are no low life weaklings." Magna said with a smirk. "You three are real men."
"Uhh not sure how I feel about being called a man." Sumire said with a sweatdrop before she, Ren, and Asta see the other Black Bull members running towards them while shouting various praises.
Vanessa leans in close to Asta and Ren with a seductive smirk. "You were very impressive out there boys~ Nice work~" She giggles.
"U-Um uh… Thank you." Asta stutters in embarrassment.
"V-Vanessa! Y-You're getting too close!" Sumire shouted, only to blush when Vanessa wraps an arm around her.
"Don't worry, you did amazing too." Vanessa said before a teasing smirk forms on her face. "Unless you're jealous~"
"J-Jealous!?" Sumire's face heats up in embarrassment, earning a laugh from Vanessa.
"Here, I brought you all something!" Charmy holds out four cupcakes out to Ren, Asta, and Sumire. "Don't be shy, it's really yummy!"
"Cool, thanks." Asta said as he took one cupcake.
"Why are there four?" Ren asked as he took another cupcake.
"I made an extra one so we can all eat together." Charmy answered.
"That's sweet of you."Sumire smiles as she takes the third cupcake before the four start eating.
"Wow, it's so good!" Asta shouted with stars in his eyes.
"Right!?" Charmy gushed as she continued to eat her cupcake.
"Wow, it's really tasty." Sumire admitted with a smile.
"I'm amazed." Ren said with a smirk.
"Okay, okay." Finral clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "Don't we still have some unfinished business to take care of?"
"Here ya go." Magna, Gauche, and Luck hold out three black bull robes in front of Asta, Ren, and Sumire. "Asta, Ren, Sumire. The three of you earned this fair and square."
"A-Are you sure about me? I didn't really attack." Sumire admitted.
"Well both you and Ren worked together, so it counts." Magna reassured.
"Are you three going to accept the robes or not?" Gauche asked.
"Come on, don't be shy." Luck laughs as Ren, Asta, and Sumire take the robes from the three.
"Wow… This feels like a dream." Asta says as he looks at his robe in awe.
"Let's see how it looks." Vanessa took out a wand and twirls it as it glows. She points it at the robes, causing them to float up in the air as the buttons unclip. The three robes float down to the three and wrap around their bodies. "And now, the finishing touch." She aims her wand at Asta's headband, creating the Black Bulls insignia on the front.
"Wow, they look pretty good on you." Magna said with a smile. "Don't you think, Yami?"
"It could be better." Yami said with an apathetic tone.
"It's official: The three of you are now one of us." Magna announced. "Welcome to the Black Bulls. Don't do anything that will bring shame to Yami, or to the Black Bulls."
Asta's body trembles a bit before cheering with joy. "THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'M SO GLAD TO BE A PART OF THIS TEAM!"
"Shut up, kid." Yami glared at Asta.
"I'm sorry!" Asta apologized, though he was still too loud. "I'll be more careful for now on, sir!"
"What part of shut up do you not understand?" Magna reprimanded.
"Captain Yami." Said person looks over to Ren, who adjusted his glasses before adjusting his gloves with a determined smirk. "I won't bring shame to you and the Black Bulls."
"Don't get too confident, four eyes." Yami said with a blank expression on his face before looking at Sumire. "Same goes for you too, redhead."
"Right, I promise." Sumire said as she bowed.
Unbeknownst to the three, the same silver haired girl Nozel was talking to is on the balcony, looking down at them.
"So these are the other new recruits." The pigtailed girl said before brushing off one of her pigtails to the side with a scoff before walking away. "Little insects."
Sumire glances up before spotting the silver haired girl for a brief moment with a hint of shock in her eyes.
'Wait, that girl from the exam… She's in the same squad too?'

The reason why I added in Gauche and Luck in the test is because I want to add a bit more challenge. Hope it turned out well for you all.
Before I end the chapter, I want to ask you all something: What are your thoughts on having Sophia and Zenkichi Hasegawa in the story? Ever since I've beaten Persona 5 Strikers, I ended up loving the new characters, especially Zenkichi as he's my favorite character in Strikers. I really want to have them in this story, but I want to hear your thoughts. I already got magic for them in mind, but I want to see what you guys can come up with and what squad or affiliation do you think is the best for them.
