Chapter 5: No voice
Ariel and I had no voice left. I tried speaking but I could not make a sound. Ursula used her magic to make us a human. Ariel and I struggled to swim so Flounder and Sebastion helped us up to shore. Ariel and I passed out for a bit.
when we woke up we were resting on a rock. we looked at our bodies and saw that we had human legs. I was a human again, in my original form! I smiled. Ariel smiled too. she looked at her new human legs. I remembered that we had three days,
to make the prince fall in love with us, or else we would be turned back into mermaids again and we would be Ursula's prisoners forever. well, it's time to start looking for Prince Eric. I saw Scuttle flying up to us. "Well, look at what,
the catfish dragged in. look at ya, look at ya girls" Scuttle said as he rested on my foot. "there's something different, don't tell me" Scuttle said. Ariel and I smiled and nodded.
"I got it, it's your hairdo, right? you girls have been using the dinglehopper, haven't you?" Scuttle said. Ariel and I shook our heads. "No, No. Huh, let me see. new seashells.
I gotta admit I can't put my foot on it right now. but if I just stand here long enough..." Scuttle was cut off by Sebastion. "They've got legs, you idiot! They traded their voice,
to the sea witch and got legs!" Sebastion shouted. "Yeah, I knew that" Scuttle said. "Ariel and Lana have been turned into a human. they've gotta make the prince fall in love,
with them, and he's gotta kiss them" Flounder said. "And they've only got three days! just look at them! on legs, on human legs! my nerves are shot! this is a catastrophe!"
Sebastion cried. "What would her father say? I'll tell you what her father would say! he says he's gonna kill himself a crab! that's what he would say!" Sebastion shouted.
Sebastion was freaking out as he went into the water. Ariel picked up Sebation and we shook our heads. "and don't you shake your heads at me, young ladies! maybe there,
is still time. if we could get that witch to give you back your voice's, you could go home with all the normal fish and...just be...miserable for the rest of your life" Sebastion,
said as he slumped down into Ariel's hands. Ariel and I had sad looks on our faces. "Alright, alright, I'll help ya girls find that prince and that princess" Sebastion said. Ariel and I smiled excitedly. we kissed Sebastion and set him down on the ground again.
"Now Ariel, Lana, I'm telling ya. if you want to become human, ya gotta dress as one" Scuttle said. Scuttle then grabbed some sheets. "Now let me see" He said. Scuttle then wrapped the sheets around me and Ariel's bodies.
I wasn't so sure about this. "Ya look, great kids. ya look sensational" Scuttle said. we heard a dog barking in the distance. I and Ariel looked and saw the dog running up to us. the dog looked farmiliar. the dog chased me and Ariel until Ariel and I were safe on a rock.
the dog was licking us and Ariel and I smiled. "Max!" A voice called. Ariel and I looked in the distance to see Prince Eric and Princess Selena. I gasped and smiled when I saw,
them. the dog ran up to them and barked. "Quiet Max!" Princess Selena said. "What's gotten into ya fella?" Prince Eric said as he and Princess Selena were petting Max.
they then looked up at us. "Oh, Oh I see" Prince Eric said. "wow" Princess Selena said with a whisper. they walked up to us. "Are you guys okay? I'm sorry if this knucklehead,
scared you. he's harmless really..." Prince Eric said. "You seem really familiar to me" Prince Eric said. "Yeah, you seem familiar to me too. have we met before?" Princess Selena,
said. Ariel and I smiled and nodded. "Your the one I've been looking for. what's your name?" Prince Eric said. "Yeah, what's your name?" Princess Selena said. Ariel and I,
tried to say our names but we couldn't because we can't talk. I remembered that Ursula took our voices for us to become human. They both looked concerned. "What's wrong?"
Prince Eric said. "What is it?" Princess Selena said. Ariel and I pointed to our throats to try to tell them we can't speak. "you guys can't speak? oh" Prince Eric said. "Oh, then,
you guys aren't the ones I thought you would be" Princess Selena said. Ariel and I sighed. we then signaled for the prince and the Princess to get their attention. "What is it? Your hurt?" Prince Eric said. we then did some more hand signals,
to try to tell them we needed help. Ariel and I fell off the rock we were sitting on. "Woah, woah, carful, carful, easy" Prince Eric said. "Carful there" Princess Selena said. "Gee, you really must have been through something" Prince Eric said. "You must have,
been through something too. are you okay?" Princess Selena said with worry. I used a bit of sign language to ask her for help. "Don't worry we will help you" Princess Selena said. "Come on, come on you two will be okay" Prince Eric said as they escorted,
us back to their place. we looked at Scuttle, Flounder, and Sebastion. Scuttle nodded at us.
later we were at the Prince and the Princesse's palace. Ariel and I were in a bathtub as the maid's were giving us a bath and helping us clean up. Ariel and I were having fun,
playing with the bubbles. I splashed around in the tub and I pretended to be a shark by putting my head in the water and swimming in the tub. "Washed up from a shipwreck.
oh you poor things" one of the maids, Carlotta said. she poured water on our heads to get our hairs wet. she felt sorry for us. "We will have you girls be feeling better in no,
time" Carlotta said. after a while Carlotta took us back to a room. she helped us get changed. Carlotta put on a pretty pink dress for Ariel and mine was a beautiful light blue,
color. I liked my new dress. after we got our dresses on, Carlotta led us to the dining rooms. "Here you go Darlings. dinner will be served to you shortly" She said. I nodded at her to thank her.
Ariel and I then walked into the dining room where prince Eric and Princess Selena were waiting for us.
