I'm so happy everyone is enjoying this story so far! I've been trying to write something along these lines for a while and they just never seemed to work how I wanted them to. I'm doing everything the best I can to try to fit everything in the same time frame as what is canon on the show. Just to be safe, we'll say that Olivia was with computer crimes for more than 3 months to make the time between Emily and Eli more realistic.

"Please tell me that everyone else went home to rest?" Olivia asked, coming back out of Emily's room.

"Yeah, home or the station. They said they are going to nab these guys." Elliot responded, slowly trying to get up from his sitting position on the floor.

"How long have you been sitting on the floor?" Olivia laughed and tried to help him up. "You're getting too old for that."

"We're both getting old. It's not just me." He joked back. He took a breath. "How is she?"

"Sleeping. I just wish I could take this pain away from her. She's too young to be dealing with this." Olivia ran a hand through her hair.

"But she has probably the best family around her to get through it. I mean her family is the entire unit."

"Yeah, something I had always imagined. I just wish Munch was still around so we could watch Emily's eyes roll to the back of her head listening to him." Olivia laughed.

"Oh god, at least she was spared that. Or he wasn't able to convert her into a conspiracy theorist." Elliot chuckled. "So she reacted well to finding out you were her mother?"

"Yeah, she accepted it rather quickly. She even had asked the nurse if her mother could stay. I think she never really wanted to refer to Jim and Kara as her parents because they didn't feel like that to her. She told me before she fell asleep that Kara never held her when she cried, like even as a child. It just makes me think that she grew up a lot like I did just split between both parents, an absentee mother and an alcoholic, drugged out father." She shook her head, trying to shake out all the guilt in her mind. "I shouldn't have given her up. I should have just told you. I could have raised her as a single mother."

"Hey, don't say that. I wouldn't have let you raise her alone and you know that. And yes, maybe you shouldn't have but you did. You did what you thought was the best thing for her. Liv, you did what you felt she needed as her mother. None of this makes you a bad mother. You know that, right?" He placed a hand on her shoulder and put his face to eye level with her since she turned to the side, looking at the ground.

"I know." Olivia fought back her tears of regret. "We should probably go back in there."

"We?"

"Yes. You're here and I want Emily to meet her father. You've been waiting all this time to meet your youngest daughter." Olivia smiled, took his hand and led him back into the hospital room. Elliot just looked at the young girl sleeping soundly. It brought him back to watching Maureen and Kathleen when they were teens but this time, he was watching a mini Olivia. If he was asked when he first met Olivia, if he ever saw having a child with her a reality, he would have said hell no. But now that it's real and happening, he wouldn't ever want to take it back.

"She's so beautiful." Elliot whispered. Even with a bruised cheekbone, he couldn't deny that she was a beautiful young girl. "Just like her mother."

"El." Olivia glared at him.

"I'm not wrong. Liv, you know you're beautiful. I've told you plenty of times." Olivia just rolled her eyes. As much as she denies it, she loves it when he calls her beautiful. She has never been someone who cared what a man thought about her looks but with Elliot, it was different.

"No...I don't want to…" Emily mumbled, which snapped the two adults back into the situation at hand. "I'm not even his kid."

"Should we wake her?" Elliot asked nervously.

"Please don't. Please! I want my mom! Olivia!" Emily started to yell and thrash around. Olivia took no time in sitting on the bed and taking the girl's arms to hold them so she wouldn't hurt herself.

"Emily. Wake up sweetheart. It's Mom, you're safe Em." Olivia soothed and lightly shook her.

"Mom?" Emily blinked her eyes and focused on the figure in front of her.

"Right here. It's just a nightmare, it's not happening right now." Olivia ran her hand through Emily's hair to move it out of her face. Emily just sat up and hugged her. That's when she saw Elliot standing off to the side. Olivia felt her tense up in her arms. "It's ok. Honey, that's Elliot."

"I'm sorry if I scared you Em." Elliot apologized. Emily let go and Olivia turned to look at Elliot.

"It's ok. I just wasn't expecting anyone to be in here." Emily laid back down. "Is this the friend who went to get the nurse for us?"

"Yes, he is." Olivia stood up and encouraged Elliot to come closer. "That's not all he is though. Emily, this is your father."

"I have his eyes." Emily immediately noticed his blue eyes that were just like her own.

"Yes, you do." Elliot chuckled. "I wish I could have met you under different circumstances but I'm really glad to meet you."

"You didn't know about me before all of this, did you?"

"Truthfully, no. But Olivia did what she thought was right. My ex-wife was also pregnant at the time and-"

"I'm an illegitimate love child?" Emily cut him off, catching both Elliot and Olivia by surprise.

"Uh...I wouldn't put it like that…" Olivia awkwardly shuffled her feet, knowing that she wasn't exactly wrong.

"But it's an ex-wife now right? Like you aren't married to her anymore?"

"No I'm not married." Elliot answered. He held up his hands to show that there was no ring. That was something Olivia had wondered but didn't want to ask just yet.

"So I have a half sibling?"

"You actually have 5." Emily's eyes grew wide.

"5? I'm one of 6? Am I the youngest?"

"No, Eli is…" Elliot looked over to Olivia, he honestly didn't know how much older she was than him.

"Eli is about a year younger than you." Olivia replied. "You have 3 older sisters, and an older brother."

"Do you think they'll like me?"

"They will probably take a little bit to warm up to the idea of you but you're their sister and they'll love you no matter what. My kids have always had each other's backs." Elliot came closer to the bed. "I was taken back at first when Olivia told me about you. But just looking at you, I can't tell you how much I already love you and am looking forward to really getting to know you. Olivia and I are going to do everything we can to make up for all the lost years. I love you Em."

"I love you too...Dad. I always have." Emily reached out and wrapped her arms around him. This is the moment she had dreamed about since she had been told she was adopted; getting to hug her real dad, her dad that truly loved her. Olivia stood there and smiled so big. Elliot also had the biggest smile on his face as he held Emily. A nurse lightly tapped on the door, feeling slightly guilty for interrupting what seemed to be an important moment.

"Hi, I have Emily's discharge paperwork and some clothes for her. I take it that she will be going home with you Ms. Benson and Mr. Stabler." The nurse passed the papers to Olivia.

"Yes, she will be coming home with me and Elliot will be monitoring both of us for our concussions." Olivia replied and sat down to start filling out the papers.

"I just have to take a few vitals and I'll be out of your hair." The nurse took Emily's blood pressure, temperature and heart rate. "Thank you. I hope you feel better Emily."

"What are we going to do about my stuff?" Emily asked.

"We can stop by your old house and pack a bag for you to have for a few days and then we can go from there about getting anything else, is that alright?" Olivia was just about done with the paperwork.

"I'm not sure if I can go back into that house by myself…"

"Oh honey, we wouldn't make you go in alone. I'd come in with you. I know it's not the easiest thing to go back to a place that brings a lot of bad memories." Olivia got up and handed the papers to Elliot. "Can you bring this to the front desk?"

"Of course, I'll be back in a minute." Elliot kissed the top of Emily's head and left the room. Olivia grabbed the clothes the nurse brought and passed them to Emily.

"Why don't you go ahead and get out of that gown and we can go grab dinner?"

"Ok." Emily got up out of bed and headed into the bathroom. Olivia couldn't help but notice the bruises forming on her back, along with some deep looking cuts that Olivia had not seen while she had the rape kit done. Emily primarily had just wanted her in the room for a sense of security. She didn't fully want her to see everything.

"Let me know if you need any help." Olivia piped up before Emily completely disappeared into the bathroom.

"I will." She shut the door and Olivia was left alone with her thoughts for a moment. Emily's paperwork had gone more into detail about her injuries and how to care for them. The sprained wrist, broken ribs and concussion were the major ones but it also talked about the multiple contusions and lacerations. She understood how painful it can be as those heal. They will feel worse than they look until they look worse than they feel. How badly did these men beat her?

"Liv? Hey, Olivia?" Olivia was snapped out of her trance by Elliot shaking her shoulder. He was taken back a little by her response to flinch away. "The nurses said we are good to go when Emily's ready. I was gonna take our stuff to the car and pull it up to the front. You ok?"

"Uh, yeah. Sorry, got lost in thought. I'll meet you down in the front." Elliot patted her shoulder and walked out of the room as Emily emerged from the bathroom, wearing an identical set of sweats to the ones Olivia was wearing. "Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah." Emily looked between the two of them. "Don't we make quite a pair?"

"Yes, we do." Olivia laughed and wrapped her arm around Emily and they walked out of the room. "Elliot is bringing the car around now."

"Do you love him?" Olivia stopped walking for a second, caught completely off guard by the question. "I mean did you love him when you got pregnant with me?"

"It's complicated."

"He loves you." Emily started to walk again and hit the button for the elevator. Seeing Olivia's face, she laughed. "You can see it in his eyes."

"Ok Em." Olivia shook it off. "And truthfully yes, I do love him."

"I knew it." Emily grinned while now entering the lobby. Her plan now was to focus on getting her parents together. May it be a plan in order to not deal with her trauma, yes. But Emily didn't want to feel sorry for herself anymore. She wanted something happy in her life to stay that way.

"Don't say a word." Olivia threatened lightly. They walked through the front doors and Elliot was waiting in the car directly ahead.

"What are you so smiley about?" Elliot glanced in the rear view mirror after pulling away from the curb.

"Nothing." Emily giggled to herself. "Are we going to get dinner now?"

"We definitely can do that. Where do you want to go?" Elliot answered while Olivia was now going through her text messages from work. Elliot looked over and pushed the phone down into her lap. "No screens."

"El, seriously?"

"I have to monitor your concussion."

"Yeah but I'm also in charge of the unit now."

"We have a teenager in the car. How am I going to keep a phone out of her hands if I don't do the same for you?" He gave her a grin and turned back to face the road while Olivia just rolled her eyes. "I told Fin to call me if there was anything that you needed to know about. I got it handled Liv."

"You're a pain in my ass, you know that Stabler?"

"And you've always been one in mine Benson." Emily just sat in the back, relishing over the funny banter her parents were having in front of her. "Anyways, Emily? Is there anything that you don't like when it comes to food?"

"Not really. I'm open to anything."

"Alright I have an idea of where we should go." He glanced over again towards Olivia at the same time she did the same to him. Their eyes met and she felt the butterflies that she hadn't felt in the past 5 years. She couldn't help but think that Emily might actually be the thing that brings them together. What she didn't know was that Elliot was feeling and thinking exactly the same thing.
