…A Word Fight…
"You didn't exactly answer my question." I muttered. He shook his head as he started to read. Grumbling I started going through my books based on which classes I had first. "Lis, how'd you forget your own birthday?" he asked suddenly. I shrugged blushing slightly. "You forgot your birthday but remembered mine. That's weird!" he laughed. I bit my lip and went back to studying occasionally taking a break to write things in his books.
"Did your roommates question you a lot the other night?" I asked making notes in his books. "Barely, I'm not the only one in my dorm dating." he sighed looking up at the sky. I growled quietly at his casual and nonchalant tone. "What are you doing?" he asked rolling over. I showed him all the notes I'd made. Neville ruffled my hair and kissed my cheek.
"Damn Lis!" he mumbled flipping through his books. I turned to my books and started editing them too. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. I blushed and covered my face with my hair. "You didn't have to do this." he mumbled. "I wanted too." I murmured. He moved my hair out of my face and kissed me. My blush deepened and I looked away. He tsked and pulled me into another kiss. "Pretty little flower." he smiled and went back to studying.
I was walking to class when I spotted Katrina kicking a wall. I snuck up behind her and tapped her shoulder. She whirled around stopping when she saw it was me. "Has Theo been bothering you again?" I asked with a sly smile. "He keeps popping up wherever I am and dragging me off to unpopulated places in the school." she groaned running her fingers through her hair. I gave her a look. "I know! Believe me, I know Lis." she pouted.
I offered her a sympathetic smile and she rolled her shoulders back and shook her head. "I'm going to go talk to him and get him to stop." she spoke with a fiery determination that made me smirk. I looped my arm through hers and led her down to the Great Hall. Lunch was just about over, and Theo was talking to Blaise and Draco about potions. I waved her over to him and watched as she took several deep breaths. Jessie and Daphne came over vaguely interested in what was going on.
Katrina held her head up high as she stormed over to Theo. I bit back a laugh at the look of surprise on his face as she yelled at him. Jessie nudged me and I held a finger to my lips as Theo started to argue back. Draco and Blaise slid further down to the table to separate themselves from the spectacle. Draco spotted us and nodded for us to get Katrina, but we held up our hands and backed away to the doors. Theo plugged his ears and looked up at the ceiling causing Katrina to yell in frustration.
She folded her arms and tapped her foot until he unplugged his ears. This time around their conversation was calmer. Draco and Blaise joined us by the door. "This is not going to end well." Blaise groaned leaning against the wall. Daphne pulled him from the hall and Jessie and Draco followed. I stayed put and watched as they started yelling again. Katrina looked ready to slap Theo and was about to raise her hand to do it when he leaned in and kissed her.
The entire hall went silent. Katrina slapped him and tore from the hall. I raced after her and found her in a windowsill looking outside. "Time for class. I'm glad my lessons about how to slap someone paid off." I smiled. She chuckled and got up. I wrapped an arm around her as we stumbled up to the music classroom laughing. "Was the slap really that good?" she asked as we sat down. I nodded and high fived her.
At the end of the normal lesson most everyone packed up leaving only those going on the winter trip behind. I leaned back as the others filed in and the meeting began. after a short introduction of the new members, we started voting on new places to go to. We decided to go tropical, and the new members were divided up to get advice from the rest of us. The professor sent two people over to my group. Two 3rd Ravenclaws who kept looking wide eyed at us but mostly Katrina.
I smiled at them and waved for them to sit down while looking over their grades. Jessie chatted with them while Katrina looked over their grades and skills the professor had handed out. "I want you two to meet me in the library this weekend. First thing in the morning and bring all of your books." I frowned handing them back the papers. They gaped at me. "You'll need to keep your grades up and you can't with how low those grades are. If you need any help with your classes just ask." I waited until they nodded then leaned over to read over Katrina's shoulder.
We talked in whispers about their music skills until Jessie was done. "What needs to be improved before the trip?" Jessie asked as she examined their grades with a smile. Katrina started rattling off a list of things she'd written. "After Lis is done with them in the library why don't we come up here for some vocal training. It won't take long, and we should be done before lunch." Katrina finished with a sigh. They kept their heads down and I hopped out of my seat and bent down.
"I think you have what it takes. Otherwise, why would the professor invite you? You've got more than enough talent you just need to properly harness it." I ruffled their making them smile and giggle. "If Lis gets scary when you're studying just call her princess!" Jessie laughed at my flustered expression and she curtseyed with Katrina.
I rolled my eyes playfully and sat back in my seat. "You two aren't dating anyone are you?" Katrina asked but looked at me. I plugged my ears and started humming. The professor shot us a warning look, but his shoulders shook with silent laughter. I flipped through my old music notes and looked at their music skills. Based on their skills I gave them all of my beginner's translation notes. Jessie gave them her books on understanding instruments and harmonizing. Katrina rifled through her things and gave them each a device that could record their voice and play it back.
"It's really useful for when you don't have someone to help you and you need to know how you sound." she slid her bag onto her shoulders as the professor released us at the end of the meeting. Our two trainees followed us down the stairs asking questions. "Did you really cry just because the jacket stopped smelling like your boyfriend?" one of the girls asked. I froze and pouted. "Twas a sad day indeed my young friends." I sniffled.
They stared in horror as tears trickled down my face. Jessie spotted something behind us and waved. I sniffled and tried to wipe my tears. Someone spun me around and I found myself in Neville's chest. "What'd you guys do?" Neville asked. I wrapped my arms around him as I cried. They must've been mouthing their conversation because I couldn't hear it. I heard their departing footsteps and looked up at Neville. He wiped my tears away and held me tightly. "Come on. We have class." he grabbed my hand and led me to class. I groaned but walked to class.
We sat in the library going over our homework. I closed my book and put my head on the table. Neville leaned over and took my homework and compared it with his. "How on earth did you manage to finish your homework so fast?" he grumbled. I shrugged and looked around. "I don't know if you know this about your girlfriend, but I even outscored Hermione in a few exams." I whispered like it was classified information.
He scoffed and ruffled my hair making me smile. I was reading over his essay while he looked for a plant book when someone slammed their hands on the table. I looked up to find an angry Theo with an apologetic looking Blaise and Daphne behind him. "I need you to talk to Katrina for me." he half growled. I gave a fake gasp of shock. He groaned and looked at Blaise. "You shouldn't have kissed her like that then she wouldn't have slapped you." I scolded.
Daphne and Blaise did a double take. "You left somethings out in your story mate." Blaise chuckled. I quickly filled them in on what happened after they left while Theo paced nervously. Daphne shot him pitying looks as I spoke. Neville came back and pulled me into his lap waving for Theo to sit down. Theo sat down but tapped his legs looking at us for answers. "How upset could she really be? All I said was if she didn't know how I felt I would kiss her and then she slapped me." Theo muttered.
Blaise put his head on the table as his shoulders shook with laughter. "Here's a thought. Why don't you try apologizing?" Katrina fake laughed from behind Theo. He went stiff and our section of the library went silent. I turned to Neville in shock. "She was wandering around looking for a book." he mouthed. I covered my mouth with my hands to hide the smile on my face.
"I think you two should take this outside." I suggested catching Madam Pince's glare. We packed up our things and followed them out. "All I'm saying is there are other ways to tell someone you like them without kissing them!" Katrina scoffed poking Theo's chest. "Really?! How about the straight fact that I've been confessing for two years now and you still hadn't gotten the hint!" Theo shot back. Daphne and I shared a look as we started walking down the marble stairs.
We pushed them out into the courtyard and onto the grounds. "You call those confessions?! I call that dragging me off into unpopulated sections of the school where you just stared at me or mumbled to yourself." Katrina laughed. Theo stopped walking but Blaise and Neville pushed him forward until we were well away from any onlookers. Katrina whirled on him and glared at him. "You're just mad because I slapped you in front of all those people!" she yelled.
Theo rolled his eyes and looked at the sky. "Just because you can't accept the truth doesn't mean you can take it out on me." Theo sighed. Katrina let out a groan of frustration. "I can't tell if we should intervene or not." I mumbled taking a step back. Daphne followed as we stepped back. "You know what Theodore, there is one thing I'm happy about and know for sure. I'm so happy that Lis taught me how to slap someone. It came in really useful on you, you prick!" Katrina glared at Theo. I groaned and hurriedly took another couple of steps back.
I looked at the sky while our friends stared. "I never actually thought she'd use it on him." I whispered. "This is going absolutely nowhere you two." Daphne sighed putting her hands on her hips. They glared at her and she hid behind Blaise. "Why don't you each say something nice to each other?" I smiled hopefully. Katrina kicked the ground with her feet.
"You're smart Theodore." she mumbled. He nodded and we all turned to him. "You have a beautiful singing voice." he mumbled back. Both of them blushed and turned away. I strode forward and turned them back to each other. "Do you or do you not like him?" I asked. Katrina shot me a look, but Daphne appeared on the other side of her and started nudging her. "Fine! I like him!" she sighed.
Daphne and I shared a sly smile and started to walk away arm in arm. Realizing what she said Katrina tried to follow but Theo stopped her. We kept our laughter in until we reached the courtyard. Blaise and Neville made it up after us barely clutching their stomachs. "A little warning would've been nice!" Blaise scolded as we stared innocently at them. shrugging we sat down and started talking about what had happened. "If they do get together, I have a feeling they'll be arguing a lot." Daphne sighed kicking the ground.
I laughed and nodded knowing she was completely right. Daphne and Blaise went to put their things up and Neville led me up to the alcove where he'd found me singing the first time. I sat in his lap and stared at him. "What is it?" he asked. "Nothing, sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have you." I whispered kissing him softly.
I rolled over in bed and realized I had to be in the library in an hour. I ran to the showers and got ready for the day. Katrina and Jessie were already there, and I smirked at the tired looks on their faces. They were like zombies as they worked on their homework. I held out my hand and started going through their books and making notes. By the time our trainees arrived I was already done and the looks on their faces had improved.
I flipped through their books making notes while Katrina and Jessie corrected their homework. Luna stopped by and looked through our books. "Is something wrong?" I whispered. She shook her head and smiled. I pulled her towards the shelves and put my hands on my hips. "Your brother and boyfriend paid me to keep an eye on you today since you'd be hanging out with the girls." she smiled and patted her bag. The faint sound of coins jingling around hit my ears and I groaned.
I sat her down at the table and flopped down. "Is she joining us today?" Jessie asked with a smirk. "It's either that or my brother and boyfriend are going to be keeping an eye on me personally." I shot a look at Luna who smiled brightly. "Should we go on a midnight run later to train their vocals?" she asked still smiling innocently. I handed the books I'd already made notes in over. Luna stared blankly at the stack until I handed her some art supplies.
She sat silently drawing in their books while Katrina and Jessie examined the trainees carefully. I finished with the notes and handed them over to Luna. I pulled list of good translation and music books out of my bag and handed them over. "I really want you to be successful!" I smiled and hugged them. They hugged me back. "Just don't mention the jacket crying incident." I whispered. They nodded quickly and when Luna was done drawing, we all went to the music classroom.
Luna brought food from breakfast and we ate while we talked about the trip this winter. The trainees started their vocal warmups, and I pulled Luna to the side. "I need you to deliver a message for me." I whispered. I put some notes into Luna's hand and pushed her towards the door. I waved as she descended the stairs looking at the recipients' names. She got down to the bottom of the stairs and turned to look at me.
"Go on. We'll be here when you return." I waved as Luna scooched down the not wanting to go. "What'd you do?!" Jessie asked as I walked back in the room. "I sent her to deliver notes to my dear brother and boyfriend saying if they keep this behavior up, I'm not talking to them anymore." I huffed sitting down. The trainees looked at me in amazement. Their vocal training continued, and Luna rejoined us looking very harassed and slightly angry. "Lesson learned." she mouthed at me.
We changed into our running clothes and Luna led us outside. "Just follow Luna and we'll let you know what you need to fix." Katrina smiled. I took my jacket off and started stretching. I felt someone staring and noticed that one of our trainees had her eyes fixed on my tattoo. I held a finger to my lips and pointed at Katrina and Jessie. When they took their jackets off, I slid over to them and she aahed when she saw the picture form.
Stuffing our clothes in a bag and putting it at the base of a tree we started our run. The trainees were doing beautifully, and I had very few corrections. We collapsed on the grounds panting heavily. "To think they do this at night." Katrina gasped. I giggled and sat up. "You should join us." Luna laughed. They leapt up and hurried back up to the school. We chased after them. I jumped on Jessie's back and Katrina turned around to save her while Luna chased after the other two.
I heard someone clear their throat and we looked up from our giggly pile to find Draco, Theo, and Neville looking at us. Jessie jumped up first. "Neither my boyfriend or my family is here so I'm going to dip first." she waved and ran after the others. Katrina started to crawl away and while they watched her, I scurried along the wall and took off in the opposite direction.
Somehow, we all ended up in front of the Great Hall being reprimanded by McGonagall. I slid down the wall and pouted. McGonagall suddenly stopped talking and looked us up and down. I stood and followed her eyes. The others quickly realized we'd been running around in shorts and crop tops. They pulled their clothes from their bags and slid into them. McGonagall walked into the hall and the trainees followed closely behind her.
Draco tapped my shoulder and I groaned. Luna's eyes went wide, and she took off into the hall with Jessie and Katrina. I turned slowly and met Neville and Draco's eyes. "Yes?" I asked folding my arms over my chest. "That note was evil." Neville scoffed picking up my jacket and putting it over me. I shrugged it off. "You paid ne of my friends to report everything I did to you. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. Do you know what the worst part is?! The hurt and betrayal I feel came from the two of the most important people in my life!" I scoffed.
I picked up my things and stormed off leaving them standing there. Slamming the dorm door shut I hurried over to my bed throwing my bag down and grabbing a change of clothes before leaving to shower. Daphne and Pansy kept shooting looks at me after dinner. "I am not going to forgive them just because they sent you two here to talk to me." I growled. They looked at the floor and crawled beneath my sheets and went to sleep.
I was going through the sweets at Honeyduke's when someone tapped my shoulder. I caught Neville's reflection in the glass and ignored him. Humming I kept looking through the sweets. "Lis it's been two weeks. Talk to me. I've apologized several times." he groaned following me. I put my basket on the counter and the cashier smiled at me. I left the shop with my purchases and Neville following right behind me.
"Lis! Come on! Just talk to me!" Neville ran in front of me cutting me off as I walked up to the school. I took a deep breath and looked at him. "I am trying to put my foot down if you don't mind." I huffed walking around him. "Lis, I've apologized. Draco even apologized. Forgive us." he wrapped me in a hug. A shiver ran through me and I squirmed out of his hold. "I said I was putting my foot down why would you do that?! I understand the over protectiveness my first 4 years of school, but we have about two years left before we graduate. You know what that means. We'll be getting jobs. You guys can't babysit me and track my whereabouts all the damn time!" I yelled walking away.
We were nearly to the courtyard now and he was still following me. I stopped walking and sat down on ne of the benches. When he realized I had stopped walking he waved me over. I watched the people walking up the path. Daphne and Luna were just coming up and I raced over with a smile. "You left before us, didn't you?" Daphne asked. I nodded my eyes at Neville and whimpered. "You could stop avoiding him and talk." Luna suggested.
"I did talk to him and before we left, I talked to Draco. I'm done talking! Help me get back to the dorm!" I pleaded. They bit their lip but wound up helping me. They got Theo and Blaise to distract him while we hurried past. I bounced happily onto my bed with my things. Daphne put her things done and raced off to find Blaise. I worked on my homework and even made some progress on the music for our tropics project. Pansy walked in looking as bad as I felt.
She flopped onto my bed with a groan, and I put my things away. "What's wrong?" I asked brushing her hair out of her face. "Draco was busy again." she sniffled. I fluffed up my pillows and listened to her talk. "I don't know what's so important about this stupid mission that he can't spend just a few minutes with me!" she cried. I patted her hair while she cried.
Once she was out, I snuck out of the dorm and made my way to the common room. I saw Draco walk in with Theo and Blaise. I put my hands on my hips and walked over. Draco gave me a look and I smacked the side of his head. I grabbed him by his collar and dragged him outside the common room and deeper into the dungeons. "What the hell was that about?!" he mumbled. "Your girlfriend just spent the last hour in my bed crying because you won't spend time with her! Why won't you spend just a little time with her you asshole?!" I smacked his head again.
"Oh, that's rich coming from you. We try and look out for you and you repay us by not talking to us for two weeks. You're a stubborn brat Lis!" he sneered. I slapped him and he stumbled back. "For whatever reason that girl loves you! I stopped talking to you and Neville because I didn't want to depend on you two for protection my entire life. She just wants to spend a little time with you. She's not asking for much. How hard is it to spend 10 minutes making sure she's ok? They are two very different things and I refuse to stand here while you try to guilt trip me." I spat turning on my heel and leaving him there.
I walked back into the dorm and found Daphne had joined Pansy on my bed. They stared at me and I sighed. "You can sleep in my bed but in the morning, you go talk to Draco." I crawled into bed and they squealed in delight. When I woke, they were dressed and ready to go. I rolled out of bed and joined them as they went up to breakfast. "Are you really wearing your pajamas to breakfast?" Pansy asked. I slid into some slippers and walked out the door.
Pansy kept shooting Draco throughout breakfast. I tapped the table and Daphne smacked my hand. "Did you hit him?" Daphne bit her lip. I shrugged and grabbed a bagel. "Go talk to him." I muttered as Pansy started whimpering. I stood and picked her up and put her in Draco's lap. "Fix it!" I smiled smacking the backs of their heads and leaving the hall.
I was almost back to the common room when I saw Neville leaning against a wall. I turned to take a different route when he spotted me. "Lis wait! Don't go!" he called running after me. I stopped walking and turned to him with a smile. "Yes. Do you need something?" I asked. He put a hand on my waist pulling me to him. "Lis can you please stop being mad at me please?! I miss you. I miss spending time with you! I'm sorry!" he whispered.
"Are you really?" I asked leaning away. "I am sorry for behaving the way I did. It was wrong." he whispered cupping my face and kissing me. I stared at him blankly for a moment. "Am I forgiven?" he mumbled. I responded by kissing him back. "I think so darling." I smiled. "You really are stubborn. How'd you resist for two straight weeks?" he muttered poking my arm. I put my head on his chest and bit my lip.
I closed my books and heaved a sigh of relief. "You're done?!" Katrina asked in disbelief. We'd been working on our mountain of homework for 12 straight hours with no break. My head fell to the table and I groaned "I'm hungry but I'm too tired to get up." Groans of agreement left their lips and I started to put my things away. "Don't leave us!" Daphne pleaded. "I'm not. I'm going to get a book to translate my music homework silly girl." I ruffled her hair as I walked past.
I searched the shelves for the book I needed but it was a bit higher than I'd expected. I'd just pulled out my wand when someone grabbed the book for me. "Here you go Lis." Neville whispered. I turned and found myself in his chest. "Thank you." I mumbled taking the book. "Did you need help with your homework?" I asked when he didn't move. He shook his head.
"Theo and Katrina had a fight a few days ago remember. So, I just wanted to see you before you get dragged off to spend time with her." he mumbled. I kissed his cheek and smiled. "I remember their fight. I'll tell you what I'll go make sure she's ok and you go study." I teased waving him away. He shook his head and didn't move. "How about a little motivation then?" I whispered. A confused look flickered across his face making my smile widen. I grabbed him by his collar and pulled him into a kiss only breaking it when we were both out of breath.
I pushed him softly in the direction of the plant book and went back to my friends. Jessie helped me look over the others homework and make corrections. I rubbed my head as we walked down to dinner that night. "Does little miss princess' head hurt from studying for once?" Katrina gasped playfully. "We haven't eaten all day!" Jessie and I groaned. I flopped into my seat and put my head on Pansy's shoulder. She patted my head sympathetically having been in the library as long as we were.
"You're in the top 5 of our class, why are you studying so hard?" Pansy asked as I started on my dinner. "Katrina and Theo had a fight and since he's not helping her with her homework I had to help." I faked a sniffle and shot Theo a dirty look. He scoffed and rolled his eyes, but I did not miss the looks he was giving Katrina. "Anyways, how've you been? Did you need help studying?" I smiled. Pansy and Daphne had my bag in between them and were gawking.
"Just how much work are you putting into music?" Pansy gasped pulling my books and assignments out. "These are for music, and these are for interviews." I pointed the different stacks out. I felt someone tap my shoulder. "Interviews?" Daphne mumbled. "Jessie graduates at the end of this year. We only have two years left. It's time to think about the future." I put my things back in my bag and pulled out a small bag of business cards.
"These are all the people who want to work with us different projects and we're going to start meeting them after doing some research on them." I put the bag away and continued eating. Draco tapped my shoulder again and I turned and stuffed some of his food in his mouth. "Tomorrow after classes let out, we're going to be having a final vote on where we're going for our tropical trip." I danced in my seat happily. "No dragons this time?!" Daphne teased.
"No, no dragons. I was thinking active volcanoes and sharks." I winked. Draco smacked the back of my head and Theo, Blaise, Daphne, and Pansy scooted further down the table. I rolled my shoulders back and took deep breath turning to look at him with a forced smile. "Yes, brother dear. How may I help you?" I smiled robotically and spoke through gritted teeth as I forced the words out. "Do not come back with any more tattoos or piercings. I mean it!" he muttered. "Or what?" I scoffed putting my hands on my hips.
He raised an eyebrow, and I examined my nails. "That's what I thought Draco. You're not going to do anything." I teased and ruffled his hair. I turned back to Pansy and Daphne. "I'll tell mother and aunt Bellatrix about you and Neville." Draco whispered in my ear. I froze and turned to him slowly. I knew from the look on his face he wasn't kidding. "You wouldn't dare!" I growled. He shrugged and started talking to Crabbe and Goyle. I reached out my hands like I was going to choke him, but Pansy and Daphne pulled me away and led me out of the hall.
I threw a fit once we were in the dorm. "What'd he say?" Daphne asked from where she and Pansy were hiding. "That little ass said if did anything he'd tell mother and aunt Bellatrix!" I laughed and threw a vase at another vase sending shards of glass flying. After another few minutes of throwing things, I collapsed on the floor crying. Pansy rushed over and comforted me while Daphne cleaned up. I kicked my trunk and climbed into bed and glared at my bed. "I thought our conversation the other day sank in, but I guess not." I muttered darkly.
I sat in the alcove staring out onto the grounds thinking. "There you are Lis. Daphne and Pansy told me what happened." Neville whispered as he walked up the steps. I launched myself into his arms and stayed there while he hugged me closely and kissed the top of my head. "Don't let him get to you love, ok?" he tilted my head, so I was looking at him. I nodded and he sat down pulling me into his lap. "Would you have really come back with new tattoos or piercings?" he asked. I shook my head as I played with his hands.
"I'd rather bring back pictures and books." I admitted. Neville bit his lip as he fought back a smile. "What type of books?" he asked. We spent the better part of the morning talking about the trip and what not. "I think it'll be relaxing to say the least. We all need a little vacation at this point." I closed my eyes and let my head fall back. "Are you going to give me my gift before or after break?" he whispered. I smacked his shoulder playfully.
"I'm not getting you anything." I teased. He frowned and started poking me and whining. "Amaryllis! When are you giving me a gift?" he mumbled. I wrapped my arms around him and laughed. "I think you'll have to wait and see." I smirked. He opened his mouth to object, and I kissed him to silence him. "I don't want to wait and see." he mumbled. "Come on cutie. Let's go visit some plants." I hopped up and grabbed his hand.
He fought back a smile as I pulled him along the halls. He stopped walking and I turned to him in confusion. "Did you just distract me with plants and nicknames?" he cocked his head to the side and stared at me. "Oh, look at the pretty birds!" I squealed pointing out the window. As soon as he turned his head, I bolted down the corridor. He caught up to me on the grounds and threw me over his shoulder.
"I surrender." I gasped out of breath. "Do you admit what you did was wrong?" he grumbled. I nodded and he set me down on my feet. "But you have to admit you thought it was adorable." I teased. He raised an eyebrow and leaned down. "It was completely adorable Lis." he kissed my cheek and led me to the greenhouses. I skipped along side him happily and listened as he talked about the new plants.
"You look so cute when you're fawning over plants." I murmured brushing his hair from his face and making him blush. "Stop it." he mumbled. I put my head on his chest and examined some of the sick plants he was helping Professor Sprout take care of. Neville paid special attention to care and detail as he examined each plant. I hummed softly and smiled as the plants danced on the breeze that blew through the room.
A faint rustling sound reached my ears and I bent down and found a Niffler curled up behind some pots. Neville bent down when he saw what I was doing. The Niffler noticed us and scurried further back. I sighed and sat down and tilted my head. I started humming again and the Niffler slowly came out of hiding and sat in my lap. I pet it until it was completely calm and relaxed. Neville was almost done diagnosing and caring for the sick plants.
"We learned about Nifflers in Care of Magical Creatures. That one there looks to be extremely young. Hagrid might know what to do." Neville watched the young Niffler go in circles around him. I held my hands out and the baby Niffler raced into my arms and cuddled up there. I let Neville lead me to Hagrid's hut and explain where we'd found the baby Niffler. "Poor thing probably just wandered to far from home." Hagrid sighed sadly as the Niffler raced around our feet.
As soon as Hagrid took the Niffler to his nest we went up to the castle for lunch. Daphne had a letter for me when I sat down. I opened it and smiled. "What is it?" Daphne asked leaning over. I smacked her shoulder and leaned away. "Lis! Is it that serious?" she pouted. I nodded and quickly finished my lunch and rushed over to Jessie. I sat down in Luna's lap as Jessie read the letter her eyes speeding up the more she read.
A squeal left her lips drawing attention to us. She bounced up and down in her seat waving her arms around and speaking gibberish. "Good news?" Luna asked reaching for a brownie. I nodded and stole a sandwich from Jessie's plate. "What's the news?" she asked leaning over to read the letter. Jessie held it away and looked around. "I'll tell Katrina later; you go tell Charlie." I waved her off grabbing the letter and sliding off Luna's lap.
I talked to Luna for a while until she spotted Katrina. I held a finger up before Luna could wave her over. I snuck along the tables and threw an arm around Katrina. She jumped and slapped my arm. I waved the letter in front of her face. She gasped and took the letter from me and leaned against the wall as she scanned the contents. Her eyes flitted up to mine and she took a deep breath. She handed me back the letter and marched outside with me close behind. "What's going on?" Theo asked joining us. I waved a hand at Katrina who was stretching.
She let out a scream and started doing gymnastics on the grounds. "Good news. Very good news." Luna mumbled. I nodded as Jessie joined in. "We passed the interviews and got into the agency we wanted." I smiled as my friends rolled down to the lake. I leaned against the wall and watched as they ran back up to us. Jessie held out her hand and I gave her the letter. She raced off with Luna up to the music classroom. Theo and Katrina went down to the lake and I watched as she told him about the interview.
"You passed the interview." Neville mumbled. I nodded and he pulled me into a hug. "You know you could've just sat beside me instead of calling me using the watch." he teased. "Don't tease, you know you love it." I giggled. "What now?" he asked tilting my face up so he could look at me. "Some of the people from the agency will talk to us and review us as we work." I murmured. Neville tilted his head and I stood on tiptoe to kiss him. "There aren't any dragons this time love." I mumbled. Neville brightened at my words and spun me around.
"Are you really that happy?" I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Of course, I am!" he laughed. "Well, you'll be glad to know this time we'll be visiting gardens and tropical greenhouses." I smirked and started to walk back inside. Pansy had just come out of the hall with Draco, and she hurried over pointing behind me. I turned and saw that Neville was standing in place mouth open wide in shock. "Did you break your boyfriend again?" she asked. "I just told him my music trip this winter is going to be visiting tropical plants and greenhouses. I was just looking for his roommates so I could tell them he needs to rest." I sighed as Neville swayed looking like he was about to drop to the ground.
I spotted Harry and Ron and ran over quickly explaining the situation. They ran outside to get Neville who looked ready to collapse. Neville was muttering about plants when they brought him inside. I waved and skipped up to the music classroom. Jessie was working on paperwork for all the groups, and I sat down to help. I stacked the paperwork for the trip up and put it on the professor's desk and made my way down to dinner. I was pulled into a closet and Neville pressed me against the wall. "You finally recovered!" I smiled.
He shook his head and smiled. "Is there a reason why you pulled me in here?" I looked around. He pointed his wand at the door and muttered a few spells before turning back to me. I raised an eyebrow and he leaned in. I bit lip and looked away. "Lis." he whispered in my ear. I shivered and wrapped my arms around his neck as he kissed mine. A moan escaped my lips as he nipped at my neck. My hands snaked under his shirt dancing lightly across his skin. "Are you going to answer my question sweetheart?" I whispered in his ear.
He smirked cupping my face and kissing me softly. "I can't. I wish we could spend more time together. You can't keep distracting me like that love." his lips brushed mine as he spoke. "Did I distract you? I thought I was informing you." I smiled innocently. "If that was what you were really doing why are your hands under my shirt?" he mumbled. I shrugged and started to take my hands out of his shirt. He threw his shirt off and sat me on some boxes.
I ran my fingers through his hair and pulled him into a kiss. "Why'd you take off your shirt then?" I smirked. I slid my shirt off and our lips met again in a more passionate kiss. I started kissing his neck as his hands ran up and down my thighs. I unbuttoned my pants and wriggled out of them. He started kissing a trail down body until he ended up at his destination. Neville put my legs over his shoulder kissing the inside of my legs and I leaned back against the wall biting my lip trying to keep my moans contained. He was so close to my aching center. Small whimpers left my lips and he smirked getting up.
I groaned in protest making him lean in close. "I know Lis." he mumbled kissing my pouting lips. His fingers were teasing me through my underwear. "What do you know?" I gasped as his fingers pushed my underwear to the side and slid into me. "I know from the way you looked at me when I pulled you in here that you wanted me." he whispered in my ear. I was a moaning mess as he teased me every now and then swiping his thumb over my clit keeping my orgasm at bay.
"You talk about me being a tease, but you're teasing me now." I whined. He kissed me silencing any other words of complaint. I slipped my hands into his pants palming his growing erection and smirking when he groaned. Grabbing my hands to stop me he took off his pants and nipped at my neck as he slid into me. My hands wound into his hair pulling him closer. I bit my lip trying to keep any moans at bay, but Neville had other plans.
Whenever I began to bite my lip, he kissed me softly and play with my clit making me moan into the kiss. I shuddered and rolled my hips to meet his. "Don't you dare hold anything back." he whispered in my ear. I kissed his neck and leaned back against the wall. Small whimpers left my lips and my eyes rolled back as he sped up. "Oh my god!" I moaned loudly feeling my orgasm approaching rapidly. I had my legs wrapped around his waist and was laying flat on the boxes while he slammed into me.
Stars dance across my vision as I came, and I was panting heavily. Neville didn't give me any time to catch my breath before picking me up and pinning me to the wall and ramming into me. I cried out in pleasure raking my nails down his back. "If you're going to leave marks on me, I'll mark you up too." he groaned in my ear as I purposely squeezed my walls around him. "Mark me up all you want to; I can still find ways to drive you crazy." I winked.
I kissed him passionately as I came again. Neville smirked and kept going as I climaxed. I was babbling uncontrollably and shrieked when another orgasm hit me. he let me catch my breath and calm down from the back-to-back orgasms. I stared into his eyes as we both tried to calm down and stop panting. He turned around and sat on the floor with me still in his arms.
"Let's make a deal. If you can go without teasing me, plants or romantically, I'll stop teasing you in return." Neville ran his hands up and down my arms. I thought about it for a minute and nodded. "Deal." I rolled my hips and put my hands on his shoulders to steady myself. I tilted his head to the side and attached my lips to his neck. He placed his hands on my hips moving me faster. I sped up slamming myself down making us both moan loudly. I threw my head back and bit my lip rolling my hips as fast as I could.
He kissed a trail down my neck until he reached my breast. His thumb ran across the bud of one while kissing the other. He switched and I put both of my hands behind me to stop myself from laying on the floor riding him with everything I had. His mouth trailed back up to mine and he wrapped his arms around me holding me tightly as we both found our climax.
I moaned softly in his ear as he rolled my hips making me ride him through the orgasm. I lifted my head and looked into his eyes. Our eyes held the same emotions. He ran a hand down my back, and I leaned back as he slid on top of me. Our hands found each other, and I laced my fingers through his. I moaned softly as he started sliding in and out of me. "Keep eye contact this time." Neville mumbled. I nodded and tried my best.
I ran my hands through my hair as I showered. Grabbing my bag from the dorm I went to the Great Hall and started eating. Daphne and Pansy sat on either side of me while Blaise, Draco, and Theo sat on the other side. "Why weren't you at dinner last night?" Pansy asked putting French toast on her plate. "Ah, I was finishing up paperwork last night and organizing files." I mumbled nibbling on toast and fruit. "Really! That doesn't explain why you didn't come back to the dorm last night and why you weren't there when we woke up." Daphne smirked as she started eating.
I choked on my juice and they patted my back. "Jessie and Katrina said you weren't in the music room or any other area you guys normally practice in." Pansy smiled. I could feel my blush spreading across my face before I could stop it. "Um, ah, merlin's beard! How on earth do I word this properly?!" I ran my fingers through my hair. They leaned forward expectantly. "I was star gazing the rest of the night. I woke up this morning and went straight to the showers then the dorm to grab my bag." I lied quickly.
I blocked any signals I might give about the night's actual events. They went back to their food temporarily satisfied. I put my hair up as I finished the last bit of my breakfast. "Why are you wearing a turtleneck in this weather? It's not even chilly yet." Draco whispered just loud enough for me to hear. "I was outside all night and then I let my hair air dry. Pardon me if I'm feeling a bit chilly brother dearest." I spoke calmly but let trace amounts of cold and disgust seep into my words. I slung my bag onto my shoulder and went up to the library for some light reading.
"Are you still mad at your brother?" Neville's voice came from behind and made me jump. I nodded and turned to look at him. He opened his arms and I put my head on his chest letting his heartbeat calm me down. He led me to an unoccupied area, and I sat in his lap. "He actually came over personally to ask if I could get you to forgive him. He looked like he was in pain the entire time." Neville rubbed my back. I let my mind wander and eventually put my head on his shoulder.
"You know you don't have to forgive him completely, but you could start by having a rational and calm conversation." Neville offered. I bit my lip and kissed from his neck up to the corner of his mouth. "I'll try, but if it doesn't work, I'll tell Draco to stop asking you to intervene." I whispered. nodding he laced his fingers and mine and I shuddered slightly as the previous night's activities resurfaced. My earlier blush resurfaced.
"I want to stay in your heart like this." he smiled and drew a heart over my chest where my heart was with our interlocked hands. Smiling I looked around before kissing his cheek. "You can do better than that." he scoffed. I wrapped my free arm around his neck as I kissed his lips gently at first then passionately. We broke apart panting heavily from lack of air.
