We're getting to the end of team meetings. There are only 3 slots left now, so it's now or never to enter the tournament!
On day three, Gabriel and Jasiri decided to go outside and enjoy Disney Springs, walking by the lake near the LEGO sea serpent. It was then that the sound of music came their way, a song that Gabriel recognized. An upbeat, 80's style song that was familiar to the raven and made him want to investigate. What they found was a crowd surrounding what looked like a dance troupe, the five members dancing the "Cha-La Head-Cha-La," better recognized as the Japanese opening to Dragon Ball Z.
The leader of the group was dancing crazy, pulling out breakdance moves that were timed perfectly with the music. They were an anthropomorphic crow with black feathers, gold beak and claws, wearing sunglasses, a gold chain necklace, a white vest and green shorts. His fellow dancers included Ben Ali Gator from Dance of the Hours, B-Dawg of the Air Buddies, Winifred Sanderson, and a sorceress with a blue star and moon patterned baseball cap that Gabriel recognized.
Once the music ended, the crow did a single handstand pose, the crowd cheering and tossing a few coins their way. Giving a bow, the crow then eyed Gabriel, flashing a grin before going over and shaking the raven's hand furiously.
"How's it going, cousin!?" the crow said, letting go and leaving Gabriel shaking.
The raven composed himself and replied, "Uh, do I know you?"
The crow gasped, then regained his demeanor and laughed. "Oh, sorry about that! It's just that we're both corvids, so I feel a connection between us." He flashed his necklace. "I am Danny Disco, but you can just call me Double D! Leader of the Dance Magic team."
"So you guys perform for change?" Jasiri asked, watching as Winifred counted up the coins.
"Oh no, we do it for free, but people just give us money for a great performance," Double D explained. "In fact, we're taking the show to the battlefield soon enough, in the Sorcerer's Tournament!"
"We're in that as well," Gabriel said. "Speaking of which, hey Scout, how's it going?"
"Gabriel!" the sorceress smiled, going over and patting the raven on the back. "Wow, it's been forever since we've seen each other. It was, what, back when you first came of the Magical World?"
"Gabriel, who is this?" Jasiri asked.
"Jasiri, this is Scout, a fellow apprentice of Yen Sid. Scout, this is Jasiri, Queen of the Outlands and my girlfriend," Gabriel introduced.
"Gabriel studied under Yen Sid before becoming the Dream Keeper, and he helped me compose my own song when I accidentally almost destroyed all music," Scout explained. She smiled and continued, "Luckily for all of us, Gabriel is a master of Fantasia magic. You have to come back sometime so we can make a new song together!"
"I'll think about it," Gabriel said. He then noticed Ben Ali Gator staring at him, the gator circling the raven before standing up tall. "Oh, you're Ben Ali Gator, right? What's up?" The gator swished his cape and did a spin, before pointing to Gabriel and bowing. "Oh, you're thanking me for saving you all from the Noise. Really, it was a group effort, but I'll take the thanks."
Ben Ali Gator smiled, then bowed again before going back to his group. Double D laughed and gave Gabriel a fist bump. "I've got a feeling that if we meet in battle, the spark of music is gonna fly! Peace out, corvid cousin! And good luck in life and music!"

The duo had barely gotten into the door before a chair was thrown their way. Gabriel quickly put up a shield to protect them, then sighed as the saw his teammates all standing by the side looking baffled. "Okay, what's going on now?" Gabriel asked.
"Well, two new teams just entered, and now the leaders at each other's throats," Brooklyn explained.
"Well, more like Genesis is attacking," Lena said. "The other girl, Kage, is just avoiding all of his attacks."
Watching the fight go on, Gabriel took note of the two combatants. Genesis was a mostly average looking human, besides having long red hair and a distinct 'X' mark on his face that reminded the raven of Siax. His body glowed red, and he picked up an entire couch to throw at Kage, who smirked and easily ducked under it.
Kage had bright blue eyes with bags underneath them, and long blonde hair that was long down her back and messy in the front. She wore jeans, a grey shirt, white shoes, black gloves and a matching black jacket. The girl grinned and then melted into shadows appearing behind Genesis and drawing a scythe near his throat.
"If you want to keep having a temper tantrum, be my guest," Kage said, her eyes glinting. "But I won't hesitate to end you here."
Genesis growled, his body bursting into flames and forcing Kage to back off. "Shut up, you stupid girl! You're the one insulting my team!"
"You literally call your team "The Worst Team" and you expected no one to make fun of you?" Kage rolled her eyes. She de-summoned her scythe and walked towards the door. "I'll just crush you on the battlefield with my clearly-better team. Sure I can't kill you but humiliating you instead will work just as well."
Gabriel blinked as Kage walked past him, the girl looking at the raven and smirking. "As for you… The Dream Keeper, right?" She dropped her smiled and turned away. "Meh, being a hero isn't my style. I'm just here to fight some fools, and maybe set something on fire."
"Is this girl serious?" Jasiri muttered.
"I'm joking!" Kage rolled her eyes. "Geez, I'm not going to actually set something on fire. Unless you want me to."
"I think we're good," Gabriel said, nervous sweat falling down his face.
Kage gave a humph and left, with Genesis then angerly running after her. Once they had left, Gabriel turned to his teammates as they used their magic to reposition/fix the furniture that had been tossed around. "So, what's their deal? I must have missed something."
"Genesis is the definition of attitude problem," Lena explained. "Though considering his magic comes from how angry he his, that might be intentional. His team is The Worst Team."
"That's a bit rude, isn't it?" Jasiri asked.
"Now, they are literally named "The Worst Team,"" Kairi said. "Genesis has Chicken Little, Milo from Mars Needs Moms, Darwin of G-Force, and Maggie the cow."
"Okay, I personally like three out of those four movies," Gabriel defended. "The 2000s gets too much hate, in my opinion. So, what about Kage?"
"She's a fellow shadow magician, with a habit of threatening others and being extra when it comes to fighting," Lena explained. "Her team is "Edgy Extraterrestrials.""
"She's got Kylo Ren, The Predator, a Xenomorph, and Venom on her team," Brooklyn added. "A powerhouse team for sure."
"Yeah, that's almost broken," Gabriel nodded. "Good thing Mickey assured us that there will be limits on contestants to make it a bit fairer."
"These teams keep getting crazier," Jasiri shook her head.
Author's Note
Some extreme personalities this time, but also it will hopefully spice up the fights!
Double D the dancing crow is from Guest2, a probably the friendliest team outside of people Gabriel already knows. Scout is from "Fantasia: Music Evolved," a video game for the Kinect and probably the best game for the peripheral. In the game you help Scout bring music back the realms through the use of Fantasia, so in the Magical World Gabriel took the place of the main character of the game. That's where his Fantasia Magic comes from by the way!
Next up, Genesis by EternalRedx, a guy literally fueled by anger. He's like magic Hulk, so watch out for him. His team definitely has some of the less popular characters, but I will defend G-Force, Home on the Range, and even Chicken Little as being good movies, regardless of what others saw. I can't defend Mars Needs Moms, though. That one is actually garbage.
Finally, Kage is the main OC of Azakael, who is one of my IRL friends and a collaborator on my Pokémon story. She has a habit of creating characters that are edgy for the sake of the joke, so Kage and her team of "edgy" space guys will be as serious as they are comically over the top. A lot of anime influence from these guys as well, huh?
If you want your chance to enter, below is the information I'll need to admit your team to the tournament. There are THREE SLOTS left for the tournament, so it's first come, first serve for who gets in.

They must be from a Disney property (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Fox, etc.), or at least a property Disney currently has the distributing rights for. Pro tip: if the character is from a movie/show that's on either Disney+, Disney Channel, or Disney XD, you should be good.
Each team member must be from a different series. So you can't have a full team of characters from Frozen, for example.
Each character must be named/ be an actual character and not a background character. I need them to have some material for me to work with.
If you have any questions, send me a PM so we can discuss. I look forward to all the competitors in the Sorcerer's Arena!
