"Do you love me?"

"Of course, with all my heart," came the instant reply for it didn't matter if they were fighting or not her love for him never diminished, there was never any doubt, she loved him with everything she had and she always would. She soothed and eased the pain in his heart, the damage to his soul and provided him with the love he had never received since he's home was burned down around him as a young boy.

"Do you love me?"

He smiled at her and kissed her softly.

"Of course my love," he said softly, enveloping her.

His answer never changed, and he never left her and even when his duties or even her duties called them away from each other he let her know that she was not alone, that she would never be alone again for he would always find his way back to her.

"After all," he would always reply, "if we can find a way to each other in this life, with what we have lived through nothing will separate us." And she took comfort from that, secure in the knowledge of his love, his support.

"Do you love me?" The young girl, no older than four asked her parents.

"Of course," the both responded and hugged her and the young girl fell asleep in the arms of her mother and father, secure in the knowledge of their love, for who could doubt her mother, the Fae Queen and her father, the weeping monk.

"Do you love me?" became the question their family asked each other, their two daughters and three sons grew up hearing their parents ask each other this and asked this to their parents and each answer was always of course, for the children of the Fae Queen and the Weeping Monk never knew the hurt, the pain that their parents knew. They were loved by their parents, their siblings, uncles, aunts and extended family and that was all that their parents ever wanted for them.
